"Do you truly believe they could beat a group of rouges sigle-pawed? I'm sure even the founders had things they weren't very good at, they couldn't have done everything, no cat is perfect. They had their clanmates to cover their weaknesses and work together. A cat can't be a warrior without a clan, and no clan can exist without it's warriors." Bloodfang purred comfortingly. "You are important and have great potential, even if it doesn't always seem so."

"I believe in you, Tawnykit, even if you don't believe in yourself." The she-cat nosed the kit's fur. "You'll be great, you'll see."
(Supportive mom!Bloodfang ftw, am I right?)

Bloodfang rose to her full height once more and glances in the direction of the prey-pile. "Have you eaten yet?"
(Well, according to Novi, Bloodfang may end up as Tawnykit's mentor, so...)

"Well then, let's fix that, shall we?" She smiles and gently nudges Tawnykit in the direction of food. "Skipping meals isn't good for a growing cat."
(It really is~ I swear, I am getting cavities just rping these two together)

Bloodfang walked a short ways behind Tawnykit, watching happily to see the kit be peppy again.

Bloodfang may or may not have knocked a decent-sized mouse in the kit's direction, immediately looking away and pretending it wasn't her.

"Nice catch!" Flamepelt meowed quietly. Luckily the lizard hadn't made any noises to alert other nearby prey. The orange tom dropped his jaw and tasted the air, immediately picking up the scent of mouse. He signaled with his tail that he had picked something up and crept forward on silent paws. He spotted the mouse nibbling on a seed, still unaware of predators. he slowed his pace yet again and moved forward as quiet as he could. He stopped once he was a few tail lengths away and leapt. By the time he landed, the mouse had moved, but he was able to pin it in another bound. He swiftly killed it with a nip to the neck and carried it back to where spiderstar was.

Bloodfang may or may not have knocked a decent-sized mouse in the kit's direction, immediately looking away and pretending it wasn't her. Tawnykit's attention immediately went to the mouse, which she was happy to have found. Not too large, and not too scrawny, either. She immediately begun to tuck in, having suddenly realised just how hungry she was. (LOL. Bloodfang believes in good-sized meals for her unofficially adopted kits.)

"You go ahead and eat, I'm going to see if the leader has any particular jobs in mind for me today." Bloodfang purred and gave the kit one last lick before going to look for Spiderstar... or maybe Flamepelt if she couldn't find him.

(just an FYI, there arent really any 'dens'. the clan sleeps in an old temply, so everyone just makes nests wherever :3)
Cinderstorm raised an eyebrow. "With an attitude like that, you would think you wanted to be an apprentice forever." Although she knew it was just a front for Stormpaw and didnt give it much attention. Instead, she turned and padded out and down the steps. "Have anything in particular you wanted to work on?"
Spiderstar nodded slowly. "Not bad." He glanced around slowly. "We can keep going or head back." He knew Flamepelt had an apprentice to worry about. And by now the rest of the clan had probably woken up. Still, they were pretty good when it came to finding something to do. Although prey in the nearby area would have moved off, they could continue traveling the same direction to see if they could catch anything else...

(oops, I must have missed that... ^^" Well then, he was doing that at the wall by his nest.)
Stormpaw followed easily, mulling the question over in his head. "Hunting, I guess.... It's hard to stay silent with all this stupid fur rustling whatever is nearby." His sentence ended in an annoyed hiss, his long fur fluffing out in response, only demonstrating his point. "The clan needs to eat anyways, if we can manage to bring back anything."

"We should probably head back." Flamepelt replied. "I'm sure the others will be up by now. You or I could go on another patrol later, but we should probably return so everyone else isn't sitting idly by. We can get Brackenclaw out hunting. He'll bring in more prey than I will, and I could take a border patrol to make sure everything's good and quiet."

Cinderstorm chuckled. "I suppose. To keep your fur down, you can roll in mud." She raised an eyebrow. Normally rolling in mud was for hiding one's scent, but it couldn't hurt to use it to hold fur down too. Or Stormpaw could focus on fishing where he stayed still for the most part.
Spiderstar nodded slowly. "Sounds like a plan Let's go then." He scooped up his lizard and bounded back to camp.

Stormpaw made no attempt at hiding his disgust at the thought of having to cover himself in mud. "Every time I hunt? It'll take me forever to get that stuff out of my fur! Not to mention my nest." Stormpaw complained, his tail twitching in agitation as he and his mentor neared what he assumed to be their destination.

without a word, Flamepelt followed behind, his catch still in his jaws. He kept pace with Spiderstar all the way back to camp. When they walked through the camp entrance, he noticed that most of the clan was up already. He immediately padded over to the fresh-kill pile and deposited his catch. After that, he looked around for Silentpaw, as he was planning to take the apprentice out for battle training later that day.

Cinderstorm chuckled. "Then I guess you'll have to groom your fur down very well and be careful with your emotions when hunting." She slowed as they neared a grove, pausing to sniff around. They would be training, but if there happened to be any prey nearby she wouldn't pass it up.
Spiderstar set his lizard down on the fresh kill pile and headed up a couple pillars to sit on top of the den. He had quite a bit of thinking to do after all.

The young tom grumbled something unintelligible, before copying his mentor in briefly sniffing around the area. When training, Stormpaw payed close attention to and often tried to imitate his mentor, hoping that in doing so, he would make Cinderstorm proud and avoid making mouse-brained mistakes.
