"I'm up for it." Flamepelt replied with a nod. "We should find a decent haul of prey." Flamepelt paused for a moment before adding, "That was where Brackenclaw and I caught our first hawk. We must've only been nine or ten or moons old. I actually thought that hawk was going to kill me. Now I can't even count the number of hawks I've killed over the moons."

(Oak hasn't been online since the 15th. hope nothing's happened to them o-o)
Spiderstar purred. "Your first hawk catch is always something special. Unlike most of our prey, hawks can fight back, which only adds to the danger." Flamepelt and Brackenclaw had worked well to catch one. Although normally littermates did. Growing up with another cat typically brought them closer.

Flamepelt nodded. "That it does. And it's definitely one way to get your blood rushing in one way or another!" He added with a "mrrow" of amusement. I remember one time a smaller hawk had actually managed to grab me, but I weighed too much for it to take off. It hurt, but afterwards it was kind of funny."

Cinderstorm paused awkwardly. Socializing with others wasn't exactly one of her strong suites...
Spiderstar chuckled. "I guess even hawks bite off more than they can chew at times." His dark amber eyes watched underneath a tree. A snake coiled in the shade stared back and he gave it a wider birth. If they could sneak up on it on their way back, maybe they'd bring back some snake. But he wasn't too interested in tangling with one at the moment.

Activity Check/Update
Alrighty. I figured now was as good a time as any. I did a bit of tweaking on the front page with aging cats. I've decided that (so long as I remain active in RPing here, occasionally, like everybody else, i get sessions where there's no muse to RP and so this won't happen ^^") there will be two activity checks each month. More or less (since months are weird and some months, like July now, will have 5 Sundays o-o) on the 1st and 3rd Sunday. Although it may be a bit strange at the moment given the timing, it is on the 3rd Sunday check that warnings will be given and statues will be updated. That way, on the first month of the month is when deletions will happen. If you aren't mentioned, it simply means that there is no change to be made and you are fine. On each check, if RPing progress has been made, all cats will age 1 moon so that by the end of the month, everyone would have aged 2 moons. With that out of the way, on to the actual check.
@sodapop i see you have been on a couple days ago. please return to the clan and update us on what's happening (busy, quitting, etc.)

blizzardsfang i know personally and know that she is busy. her status will be marked as excused, but Firestorm will no longer be our medicine cat

(It isn't a big deal for me how many others there are. I might actually use a few more of my charries, get some other sides of the roleplay going in hopes of attracting new roleplayers while keeping the old ones occupied so they don't leave. It worked on my old clan to get it off the ground at least.)

I know a nice layout typically makes it more appealing, although for me I just don't want to see a mess of a front page. so long as there's organization. But i also feel like starting in the planning thread and having people play a part in creating the clan gives you more people to kick start it with. or just have lots of friends X'D Although i never did get around to finding yours. link? if it's still alive o-o)

An average-sized light grey tom with darker gray mackerel-tabby markings, large ears, and long somewhat spiky fur that gives him the appearance of constantly bristling. His eyes are rather round and a pale yellow with darker flecks, and his nose is dark gray with a similarly-colored blaze and under-paws. Stormpaw is often grumpy and rude, making threats whenever some cat bothers him but never actually following through on any of them. He struggles with communicating with others, usually turning his frustration with himself into verbal aggression at whoever he is talking to, often leading him to avoid socializing or asking for help. Despite all this, he is very lonely and wishes he could properly befriend the other cats, and no longer feel like an outsider in his own clan. While he is not good with other cats, he wants to prove himself in the eyes of his clanmates and spends the majority of his time practicing his training, and is considering asking to learn some basic medicine-cat skills for emergencies. While not in words, he is very kind in actions; laying beside a cat that looks a little too cold, or happening to bring an elder their favorite prey-item.
Bloodfang || 34 Moons || Female || wolfgirl485
A pretty, sleek dark brown cat with the faintest hints of darker brown points, her eyes are orangey-red in color. her claws are particularly long, while her tail is missing a small piece from the tip. She is incredibly thin, looking underfed, but she is as healthy and strong as the next warrior. She is usually soft-spoken, gentle, and affectionate towards her clanmates, and acts very protective to pretty much any of the kits and apprentices, even if overly so. However, to most of those outside her clan, she is quick to fight, even if unprovoked. Bloodfang desperately wants to have kits, even if she has no interest in staying with the father, and would consider an offer from almost any tom, even one outside the clan.

A tiny, gray-blue tom with darker gray ears and tail, his eyes are azure in color. Usually a calm, friendly individual. He is exceptionally observant and wary of his surroundings and the situations that develop around him. Despite his calm demeanor, he harbors deep insecurity about his talents and how he is perceived by his clanmates, this is reflected by lack of goals and general pessimism about his own future. He is naturally skilled in fighting, able to fake-out his opponent and strike quickly. Even so, he won't object or argue if his clanmates push him around or try to make him do something dangerous, he just wants to be useful to them, even at the cost of his life.

Flamepelt followed Spiderstar's gaze, also spotting the snake. "I've always found snakes interesting." he meowed. "It's strange that even without legs, they are still such an agile predator. It makes me wonder if we could adapt a hunting move in certain situations to act more snake-like, or at least sound like one. At least prey would think 'snake' and wouldn't be expecting a cat."

Spiderstar shrugged. "I suppose. But their muscles are also different. I doubt there's camouflage that will hide our bodies well enough to make us look like snakes, but perhaps our tails could manage. Although, our tails don't have anything sharp on them so actually making a kill with it would be impossible..." Still, if Flamepelt had any ideas then it would be beneficial to try them out.

What I'm thinking is possibly using your tail to mimic a snake's movements. a mouse or whatever you're hunting will look for signs of snake, which will lead them to vulnerability to cats."
