Walking aimlessly through the forest, your eyes dart nervously around yourself as you feel as if your being followed. The air is crisp as you walk, your paws numbed by the cold snow and your whiskers frozen by the frost. There isn't a moment as you walk that you don't think about the choices you've made in the one life you were given, but now, there is no going back. Every turn looks the same as you walk. Unable to detect which way to go, you go left heading towards your new unknown destiny that awaits you.
Approaching what seemed to be like a river with stones lined up for crossing, you peer down at your reflection as the water rushes past your paws, faster than you could blink. Turning your attention to the stones, you take a shaky step, testing them before bounding across the creek, slipping just a bit on the last stone. Right when you land, a pair of eyes appear in the shadows, staring directly at you.
As it steps out of the shadows, you tense on instinct, taking a step backwards as it advances just a tail length away.
It speaks to you in a calm collected feminine voice, "Your not afraid. You will never be again." The she-cat beckons you to follow her, and as you do, you notice how quickly the terrain changes.
You find yourself after a while entering a camp protected by willow trees and brambles on the outside to create a barrier. The she-cat gives one final nod, before she started to fade. Your not surprised, for one reason, you've always dreamed of meeting a sky cat.

A long time ago, in the forest of the rogues, a forest where rogue cats lived side by side, not in an orderly fashion or big group like a clan; two brothers were born. They were named Shade and Shadow. Shade was a smaller Tom with a broad frame. His pelt was a dark brown at the top which trailed away, leaving a perfect shadowy color scheme on his pelt. His eyes were a piercing dark blue. His brother however was quite the opposite, size wise. Shadow was a tall black Tom with a thin frame and his eyes were a dark green. The two brothers lived side by side until an incident happened. On the night of the full moon which turned up once every month, the rogues in the forest had turned on each other, fighting for prey. Shade and Shadow were the only two cats left that didn't turn on each other.
Knowing that the rogues would tear themselves apart, Shadow leaped into the battle. As he tried to separate the yowling cats, a cat had sunk his teeth out of anger into Shadows neck. Shadow fell to the ground, but the rogues didn't stop. Shadow bled out, a pool of blood circling around him. Shade stood from the ledge that overlooked the clearing, he felt as if his heart was in his stomach as he watched his brother take his last breath. He flattened his ears and blinked away the tears that threatened to fall, he needed to be strong.
He turned back to the fight, his anger growing and he felt his heart going cold. He didn't even notice, but his voice rang out, louder than expected, "We aren't fools." Shade spat, looking down with hatred on the crowd of rogues below. "Answer me, does it help get more prey if we tear each other apart?" His voice was filled with anger. The rogues looked down with shame. "We are noble warriors, my brother won't die for nothing." Shade rang out, his voice filled with authority now. "Because, we are the dark and dangerous Shadeclan." He paused, his heart leaping as cats started to chant his name and the newly formed clan's name.
"Shadeclan! Shadeclan!"
"Shade! Shade! Shade!"
As the clan thrived living in the exact location of where the battle that started Shadeclan, ranks were formed. The clan needed other ranks besides Shade, for he would soon grow old and pass away without a heir. The clan decided it would be best to extend their names and soon it wove itself into the clan. Shade chose his suffix to be star. Every leader of Shadeclan and another clan after Shadestars time, still follow this tradition today. Being honored with 9 lives from your ancestors that the cats called star clan and having the suffix 'star'. All other cats were required to have a suffix ( not the suffix star ) unless they were a rogue, a lone cat outside of the clan.

| The Territory Outside of the Camp |
Outside of Shadeclan's camp, a vast forest slopes upwards slowly into the mountains. The forest is made up of mainly spruce, but a few maple and oak trees are scattered around. Near the Southern side of the territory, the forest thickens a little. Trees block shortcuts and brambles poke cats from every turn. On the North side, a river cuts through the territory, heading down the mountain. On the Western side, a thunderpath lays, where monsters wake and run. On the Eastern side, a cliff overlooks the unknown and unclaimed territory below.

At night this bright green grassy meadow turns silver in the moonlight. In the center is an old, dead beech tree. If you sleep among the roots of this tree, Starclan will come visit your dreams. This is where Leaders and Medicine Cats come to speak with our ancestors. It is located in the Southeastern corner of the territory.

On the night of the half moon, a small hill on the eastern side of the territory is covered in moonlight. Shadeclan cats believe this is where Starclan cats come down to say hello to their loved ones.

Moonlit River is where the leader will receive the nine lives and the responsibility of being leader. The leader must sleep on a smooth ledge behind the waterfall, sheltered from the outside world. The waterfall blocks all sounds from the outside world causing a quiet and peaceful place. The leader usually spends a night here.

The camp is located in the middle of the territory, underneath a small cliff drop in the territory about ten feet high. The camp is big in size wise and has plenty of space. The camp is surrounded by thickets and fairly large boulders, naturally there believed to be created by Starclan to guide and protect Shadeclan.

Just above the leaders den, a large stone slab leans on two boulders, holding it in place. The high cliff if just a rock maybe five feet off the ground to raise a cat above ground level so he/she can speak to the clan.

The leaders den is below the high cliff, a medium sized hole invites cats in, leading you through maybe a tail length long tunnel to the leaders den. On the outside, the leaders den is protected by a wall of ivy, hiding its entrance from predators. On the inside, a nest made of moss and soft downy feathers of birds sits in the corner.
| The Medicine Cat's Den |
The medicine cat den is located to the right of high cliff, angled so it faces high cliff. On the outside, the medicine cat den has mushrooms growing near the entrance, making it look somewhat magical. The den is a cave, guarded by two boulders. In order to enter, a cat must go through the cat sized opening through the boulders. The medicine cat's den has a small corner for dividing different types of herbs, and the other side of the medicine cat den has five different nests, one for the medicine cat, one for the medicine cat apprentice, and the other three for sick or injured cats.

The warriors den is near the entrance to the camp. It is a large hollowed out thicket bush with moss covering the holes to prevent getting cold at night. Inside the warrior den, nests are scattered all over. The entrance is open and isn't protected.
| The Apprentice Den |
The apprentice den is right next to the warriors den, its similar to the medicine cat den. Its a smaller cave with an open entrance unlike the medicine cat den entrance. The apprentice den is just open, when you walk in, nests are scattered all over.
| The Nursery |
The nursery is far from the entrance, back to back with the cliff overhang and under a maple tree that helps cast a shadow over most of the clan. The nursery is a den area under the tree roots of the maple tree. Inside the nursery, nests made of moss and feathers are placed neatly against each of the sides, plenty for every cat or kitten.
| The Elders Den |
The elders den is next to the nursery, hidden behind a fern bush. When you walk through the fern, an entrance to another cave opens, leading you into a small cave big enough for five elders only. The den is layered with moss and feathers all over the floor. Elders tend to not care as much, and aren't that "nest greedy"
