Ferntail
Ferntail chuckled softly. "All I remembered was being scolded." She said with amusement hidden in her voice as she thought of her past clan. "Sometimes I wonder if an apprentice can change a warrior..." She said quietly, a bit randomly.

"I would think that it would." Raventwist flicked his tail slightly, "You have to teach yourself to be more mature and patient, I assume. These young cats are your responsibility, the kind of warrior they become rests on your paws."

Ferntail
Her purr stopped as another flash back riddled her vision. Her fur bristled and she lashed her tail, shaking her head to clear the image. "It does." She replied to what the tom had previously said. She blinked, managing to make her fur lie flat again.

Raventwist's smile fell, and he rose an eyebrow in concern. He wondered what was up with Ferntail's sudden change in demeanor. Had he said something that hit a nerve? "What's up with the tense fur? Did I go too far in my assumption?"

Ferntail's troubled gaze rested on her whiskered paws. "I'm alright." She reassured the tom, looking up, and forcing a half smile. "I just thought of something. That's all." She murmured. Her blue orbs turning to slits from the sun's glare.

"I can't learn to hunt without her though." She stood up, getting to her paws, bounding towards the entrance. The sooner she learns everything the sooner she'll get her warrior name, she thought as she went to over the entrance and out into the vast territory. Getting out of camp will be nice, fresh air for once she thought, she lifted her nose outside of the entrance. She didn't want to hunt right by the entrance, it'd make her feel like a kit, but she was giving Stormfire a minute to catch up as she kinda took off without warning. "Okay, Don't get too excited." Stormfire chuckled, "Otherwise you'll scare all the prey away." He isn't sure of what Amberfoot had taught the apprentice so far, so Stormfire decided to help out. "Can you smell anything?" The grey tom could already scent the presence of prey, but did not show it as he wanted to see how Vixenpaw would cope. The warrior looked around and pondered, This is a great place to hunt. It looks as if prey would flourish here. Vixenpaw nodded. She rose her head and breathed in the smells. There was two smells she got right off the bat before all the other smells began to overwhelm her. She turned to Stormfire, discretly hiding the fact she got overwhelmed. "A vole and some sparrows" she replied.

The warrior smiled, the playfulness returning to her blue eyes. "Right." She murmured, her whiskers twitching. "Thank you." She let her tail brush against his for a few seconds before giving her chest fur a few quick embarrassed licks before she spoke softly. "I'm sorry." She murmured, pulling her tail back.

"No reason to apologize." Raventwist assured her, giving her a reassuring smile. He curled his tail after she let go of it, letting it flutter slightly along the ground. "You've done nothing to inconvenience anyone, you've simply risked putting a cloud over your own head. We can't have that, can we?"

Ferntail chuckled softly. "I feel safe under my cloud." She pouted slightly, flattening her ears in a cute sort of manner. Her whiskers twitched and she flicked her feathery furred grey black tail. "I haven't met a tom like you in a while." She admitted, meaning exactly what he had said. "What I mean, is that your caring and content with your life." She murmured,

[ Speckledpaw | Apprentice | 8 moons] Speckledpaw padded outside of the apprentice's den, finally content with his nest. He'd spent most of his time that day tidying it up since his mentor had given him the day off from training. He planned on joining a hunting patrol or border patrol later, but for the moment he found himself content just resting in the sunlight, legs tucked under him. He seemed very relaxed, everything about him seemed ready to nap in the sunlight... everything but his eyes, which were wide open. His eyes skimmed over every cat and every den, his heart beating rather fast, but not nearly as fast as often. He wasn't too nervous... sure there were endless possibilities of what could go wrong, and he had gotten off schedule, he woke up late... and he didn't train today. His mind began to race at this one thought, he was quickly wrapped up in the idea that he hadn't gotten to train. Why? He wondered frantically, most of the other apprentices were off doing something! Most were out of the den already, and the few that weren't had been on a late patrol the night before. After a moment Speckledpaw saw a few other apprentices wandering around and calmed down. [ Cinderpaw | Apprentice | 10 moons ] Cinderpaw had spent the better part of her morning playing with the kits outside the nursery, which was a nice change of pace since recently the new fad for training apprentices seemed to be getting them up immediately at daybreak to practice. cinderpaw was not good in the mornings, she could hardly put one paw in front of the other, let alone train. She usually liked training, but she wasn't a huge fan of being made a fool. She was quite happy to rest in camp for most of the morning, but now that the sun was almost directly above them, she was ready to do something. She didn't quite care what, but she was afraid if she sat still any longer she might implode. Maybe this was why they trained early, to tire them out.

Redfur
Lifting his head with an irritable sigh, the handsomely broad shouldered warrior heaved himself to his paws, making sure to stretch every limb before padding lazily over towards the fresh kill in need of a snack. Lowering his muzzle, he assessed the prey selection, coming to a conclusion to take the fresher kill and leave the other for the rest of the clan to deal with. He shrugged, figuring Rainstar wouldn't mind, unaware some other cats might..

Hawkpaw had been watching Cinderpaw playing with the kits with small amusement when a small movement caught his eye. He turned and saw Redfur taking a piece of prey from the fresh-kill pile. He almost returned his attention back to the kits when he noticed he was taking some of the fresher-kill. He silently walked over to Redfur. He was a warrior, he was an apprentice, conforting him ins't the best way to approach this. "Redfur?"

[ Cinderpaw | Apprentice | 10 moons ] Cinderpaw hopped to her paws upon seeing a warrior, not one she was well acquainted with, but a warrior nonetheless. She didn't quite think through what she was doing until she was already heading towards him, certain he would have some sort of chore for her to do. She leapt towards him in bounds, her excitement bubbling up. She fumbled to a stop in front of the fresh kill pile, and smiled brightly up at him. Then she realized who it was. It was Redfur, a pretty good warrior, but not exactly the kindest. She got the feeling he wouldn't be one for bringing food for the elders, but she wasn't about to sit around while he chose the best prey. She knew what it was like to get up early and hunt, and then be told not to take the freshest kill. It was hard and annoying, but a practice she had fallen into
"Oh is that for the elders?" Cinderpaw asked excitedly. "I could take it to them!" Cinderpaw was elated, here was a potential job for her to do. Sure, the elder's den wasn't more than a few fox-lengths from them, but she handled problems one at a time. And she'd found a solution for her boredom at the moment. Cinderpaw shook her stared at Redfur for a moment, now realizing that Hawkpaw was right beside them. "Hey Hawkpaw," Cinderpaw greeted warmly. Featherwing padded into camp from an early morning, one cat hunting journey. There wasn't much luck for the young she-cat. She only succeeded in bringing a rabbit, a squirrel, and a pretty small mouse. She was quite unsatisfied with her catch, but at least it was something. It could feed an elder or two, right? She dropped the rabbit and mouse in the prey pile, taking the squirrel for herself, and padded into a sunny spot near the warrior's den.
/-/
Nettlepaw has been up for a while, going out and gathering herbs, sorting herbs from last night's winds. A medicine cat's work is never done. He decided to take a break and pop outside for a quick bite to eat; he can see a mouse sitting right on top. As he was coming out, he saw Redfur just leaving; he quickly snathed his mouse and happily bounded after the tom warrior, as fast as he could with his stubby little legs. "Hey, Redfur," he purred around his rodent, dropping it by his paws. He really actually enjoyed talking to the warriors and warrior apprentices, it helps keep him updated about the clan while he and (is there a med. cat appointed? *insert xer name here*) are off doing their own duties. "What's goin' on?"
/-/
Firepaw opened her one eye, slowly lifting her head and turning it around to look in the den. It seemed that she overslept - again - and that no one else was in the apprentice's den. She slowly lifted her self to her three paws, which was always a struggle because of her missing leg. It will always be hard for her, to walk and get up from a laying position, that's what she believes, anyway. She hobbled as fast as she could out of the den, then collapsed in the shade.
( I'm sorry guys, I got this nice post for Nettlepaw, then the others are puny ;-; )

Redfur
The tom set the prey down at his paws, blinking as he turned to where his name had been called. He flicked his tail, "Hello Hawkpaw, hello Cinderpaw." He said smoothly, an edge to his voice as usual. He hesitated, "I'll take it too them later." He replied sheepishly, pushing the prey behind himself. He took a seat, wrapping his red brown tail around himself as his Amber eyes narrowed to slits, staring intently at the apprentice's.

Seeing Cinderpaw, he decided to just ask a different question. "Have you seen Rainstar?" figuring maybe the warrior had seen her, but he doubted it. He sat down and placed his gray tails neatly over his white paws and glanced over at Cinderpaw, wondering if she knew he'd rather keep the fresh prey for himself, but he kept quiet. He was amused at at Redfur's response, but as the warrior settled down, the star of his gaze made him slightly uncomfortable. He lowered his gaze from the warrior in n effort to hide his discomfort.

[ Cinderpaw | Apprentice | 10 moons ]
Cinderpaw kept quite uncertain quite how to reply to Redfur. He had said he would bring prey to the elder's later... and she figured that was good enough. She thought that was fair, in a way, since he was going to do a task that was for apprentices and not warriors that gave him more reason than her to eat fresh prey. She was also just an apprentice, what did she know? Cinderpaw shrugged it off and flicked her tail. She could ask Redfur if he could show her a battle move, but she wasn't sure if he would turn her down. If there wasn't another apprentice around, she'd be ok with being denied this knowledge, but since he was there... she wasn't willing to risk the humiliation. Cinderpaw nearly missed what Hawkpaw had said, she was to wrapped up in whether or not to ask Redfur for help. She glanced up at Redfur, now curious as to where Rainstar was. [ I know that feeling x'c I usually just stick to the default font because I get tired of using one sort of font and I feel bad changing it
I'm still sorta trying to figure out Cinderpaw's personality 100% so sorry if her posts are a little awkward ^^' I'm bouncing between her being thoughtless or overly thoughtful still ]

( I'm not sure if you didn't see my post but I hope it's fine if I just played it off hehe c: )
Nettlepaw froze for a second, then shook his fluffy head. That was fine, he wasn't a cat to hold grudges. Redfur probably just didn't hear him, and tried again. "Hey, Redfur, Cinderpaw, and Hawkpaw," he purred, this time walking all the way over. He sat down, but realized it looked odd because of his stubbly legs so he just layed down next to his clan mates.

Hawkpaw glanced over at Nettlepaw, "Hey Nettlepaw!" he replied. "Maybe we can all go do something while Redfur takes the prey to the Elders den." He said almost with amusement directed towards Redfur. The way he pushed the prey behind him confirmed the theory that he wanted the prey. He didn't care. It was just food to Hawkpaw now. He saw Cinderpaws eagerness to talk to Redfur and shrugged his shoulders.

Nettlepaw smiled and stood up, and hopped over to Hawkpaw's side, purring softly. "Okay, cool! What do you wanna do?" He asked, then motioned Cinderpaw over to. "We could play a game, or..." He realized that there wasn't much to do. That was a bummer. "oh I know! Let's play a game! Or, no, no, we could play a game, or or, oooh a game, or a different game...?"

[ Cinderpaw | Apprentice | 10 moons ] Cinderpaw stepped away from Redfur and closer to the other apprentices, deciding it was best to not ask him. She tilted her head slightly as Nettlepaw and Hawkpaw went back and forth talking about what to do. She didn't know many games at all, only what she had played as a kit. Usually she practiced fighting moves with fellow apprentices, since that was her weakest area, but she didn't particularly feel like it at the moment. Cinderpaw pondered the question for a moment, trying to decide what they could do. "We definetley want a good game," Cinderpaw began, voicing her own thoughts. "... but all that I know are kit games," Cinderpaw said with a sigh. She liked mossball with kits, but... that didn't seem quite right to play with the other apprentices. Especially with warriors in the camp, she didn't want to appear to still be a kit. Then she remembered an old game she used to play in the nursery that would keep them out of the prying eyes of senior warriors and be fun. "What about prey and hunter?" (I was thinking it would be something like hide and go seek, just with a warriors name? Idk any apprentice games ^^"). Cinderpaw hadn't played it in a long time, she wasn't even sure if it really could be done in camp without getting in the way of others.

Vixenpaw closed her eyes and only focused on the sparrows scent. When she had finally isolated the scent, she began tracking it down. She hadn't noticed the warrior stepping away. She looked at the ground, there wasn't many things that would make noise if she stepped on it, she lowered her body and kept her tail low. and moved forward. The sparrow was in a nearby tree, and she wasn't comfortable climbing to catch it. As she got closer the bird flew to the ground, the bird had it back to her. Knowing this was her only chance she moved a little more quicker, sacrificing stealth for speed. Alerted to her presence the bird raised it's wings, almost taking off, but it was to late, she pounced on the bird while it was little off the ground, but not high enough out of her reach. It was a lucky kill and she knew it. Returning to the warrior she she dropped the sparrow and sat down, almost ecstatic that she was able to catch something.
