[[ Oh, jeez, here goes... ]]
CLOUDRIPPLE // (Camp Entrance, Bluedusk): Cloudripple had spent the last few days tending to her injured brother and her mentally distraught sister. The she-cat was tired, and extremely worried. Nothing like this had ever happened to her, and she normally relied on her brother's stern quiet kindness to reassure her. But he was always tired now, and was talking to another she-cat a lot of the time... Which also made her a bit upset. It wasn't that she was jealous, but it was more the fact that the tom hadn't even told her that he had started getting close with Silvernight. Maybe it wasn't anything serious, or maybe he wasn't interested in her? The she-cat doubted that, but regardless, she held her head up and tried her best. She tried not to worry about the illness, though she found herself worried a lot about Thunderfang. After a quick check-in with both him and Hawkpaw this morning, she noticed Bluedusk by the entrance. Being trapped in camp caring for her siblings had made her last visit out of camp when she chased rabbits with Firewhisker and Aquashine, which seemed like ages ago now to the she-cat. Making her way over to the other she-cat, Cloudripple gave her a nod. "Patrol, hunting, I don't care what you're doing. I need out of here, if you don't mind," she sighed. It occurred to her how tired the warrior was when she sat down.
THUNDERFANG // (Warrior's Den): The past few days after, well, the incident were definitely not the best for the tom. His foreleg ached, and he felt mentally ill. The only good thing about any of this were the visits from Silvernight and his sister. Silvernight... Thunderfang was beginning to feel a certain fondness for the other warrior. She was by his side a lot while he was busy healing, and he started to wonder why, but really just appreciated the company. She was great to talk to, and kept him from thinking about the horrible deed he had done. Sure, he had helped save the clan, but at the cost of a loyal warrior's life. He used to be a lot more disturbed about it, but was coming to terms with the fact that it was needed and there was nothing anyone could have done. Despite that, however, he still felt disgusted for touching her, for some reason... And his nightmares no longer contained him getting infected, but now he was worried that Silvernight, who had also participated in the fight, was infected... He even worried about Cloudripple and Hawkpaw becoming, who weren't even there, but who still might turn into that... that beast someday. Hawkpaw... She hadn't come to visit him at all since she was hurt. He felt a little sad, knowing he probably scared her while she was watching- yeah. Sitting in the warrior's den, the tom was very much awake, pondering his thoughts, as usual. That wasn't exactly a good thing, and he wished someone would distract him. His sister had left, however, so there was really only one other he would want to speak to.
SANDSTEP // (Warrior's Den Entrance): Waking up from his rather deep slumber, the tom lifted himself from his nest and stretched his limbs out. The events over the past few days unsettled him; he could protect the clan physically from intruders or foxes or whatnot, but there was no way he could shield them from a seemingly incurable and undetectable illness. The whole situation made him very anxious, as he had never really had to deal with illness himself in his lifetime. Just when greencough seemed like end end-all of the season, things had to go an get inexplainably worse. Stepping out into the chilly morning air, Sandstep sent a glance towards the fresh kill pile. Not much to see, as usual. Seeing Bluedusk and Cloudripple by the camp entrance made him quite relieved, and he would have joined him, but the tom really wasn't into mornings. Instead, he sat by the entrance of the den and decided to groom himself, fluffing his sandy pelt against the chill.
HAWKPAW // (Apprentice Den Entrance): Hearing the other apprentices stirring had woken the she-cat up, and she groaned at them. She had never really gotten along with the other apprentices, and they sort of annoyed her a bit because of how close of friends they were and how she wasn't apart of that. She talked to the warriors too much instead. Wanting to get away, she stepped out of the den groggily, taking a breath of the cold air and letting it out in a sigh. She located her sister by the entrance, and just the sight of her made her a lot less anxious. She looked around camp and saw Highstone, but she hoped to StarClan he wouldn't ask her to do anything today, as he hadn't the past few days. She was still a bit shaken by what happened, especially seeing her brother do what he did... She worried about him, but Cloudripple assure her that the tom was okay, so she didn't go to see him. Looking around camp some more, and saw Sootpaw dropping off a shrew. She was pleased at the sight, and felt like she wanted to thank him, but stayed rooted at the entrance to the den and just watched, starting to get lost in her thoughts.

--Firewhisker noticed the sky lightening to the point where his Clanmates would be waking up. He frowned as he realized he had been out for so long, and hadn't caught much. Exhausted as his paws were, and achy as his small wound was, he just couldn't fathom sleeping. With a sigh, breath clouding in the air, he returned to the spot he'd caught a deermouse and pulled it with him back to camp. Upon arriving, he was forced to take his meager prey past Cloudripple and Bluedusk. His ears perked as he realized they were probably going on patrol, and he yearned to join and feel a sense of normalness and freedom in it. He had already encroached on a patrol the day the fight had broken out, however, and a feeling of dread would settle deep in his chest when patrols left these days. With another sigh, this one more dejected, he simply deposited his catch in the tiny fresh-kill pile and worked to groom warmth back into his body.
--Silvernight had been awake a while already, her darker eyes managing to gleam in the meager light. Her thoughts consumed much of her waking life, and it had transitioned into her unconscious life. She dreamt of her wicked past deeds and of the future that could come, when the place she had grown to care for was pushed past the brink and everyone had died. In some dreams, she was the largest killer. The she-cat shuddered slightly, her gaze resting on Thunderfang. She realized he was up, and wriggled closer slightly before stretching out her paws in a fake just-waking-up stretch, aiming to prod him as gently as possible in places she knew weren't particularly painful.

THUNDERFANG // (Silvernight): "Why do you always insist on prodding me like that?" The tom turned to face her, a smile playing on his muzzle. It was the first smile for a while, but the pokes, he though, were funny. Even during their first real conversation, she had done it. Now, she always seemed to do it when she wanted his attention, and he liked it and wanted to tease her about it. Turning around slowly to face her, trying not to agitate his sore muscles, he shot her a jokingly questioning gaze. He felt terrible, but she had come to the rescue just in time, and now he didn't feel as bad.

--Silvernight flicked her ear in annoyance as he immediately saw through her fake sleeping routine. She swung herself into a sitting position, her normally sleek fur uncharacteristically disheveled from her restless night. She took a few seconds to brush the bedding stuck to her off before turning to look at him critically. He was obviously still store, but she decided he didn't look more sore than usual - meaning his wounds probably weren't infected. Silvernight suppressed a yawn as she carefully considered his question, never having considered it on her own. "It doesn't seem bothersome," she finally replied, leveling her gaze. "Is it? Did it hurt?"

[[ It's pretty obvious that this big fluffy idiot has a crush on her. Shame it's to be short lived. I could see them being so cute together if Thunderfang didn't have to die. ]]
THUNDERFANG // (Silvernight): His smile widening, he laughed a bit. "No, it didn't hurt. And it doesn't bother me at all, it's just a thing you do that I thought to tease you about." He noticed that she looked a tired and her fur was a bit out of place, and he did remember hearing some turning in his lighter areas of sleep. He realized he probably didn't look much better and was probably as tired as she was, if not worse. He observed her beyond that, which sort of became a routine for him now, half because he liked looking at her, but half because he was so, so worried that this cat could end up with a similar end to Redwhisper, and even in his dreams, that worry was fueled. But she seemed to be okay, and acted normal, not that he had much prior experience to go on. The only good thing about any of this was that the toughness of the sudden situations seemed to bring them closer.

{{Poor fur babies. I was considering whether or not I should have Silvernight crush on him super obviously or not, and what the repercussions of his death would be afterward. Like she could be hovering around to be sure he doesn't mention their semi-emotional discussion about the Clan meeting to others, or because she's grown fond of him also due to the semi-emotional discussion. She's one of the harder characters for me to get a hold of in roleplays, but it's kinda fun}}
--Silvernight frowned slightly as he admitted to teasing her, but she let it go. He was obviously happy about the situation, and she wouldn't let her prickly personality stamp down any brightness she or most others could find in the days to come. The she-cat wondered how to react, finding it difficult to think of a decent response. Obviously, aforementioned "prickly personality" didn't come with a side of social skills. To buy herself some time, the silver and black feline worked on flattening any patches of unruly fur. "What are you doing today?" she finally asked with a small sigh, giving up on her pursuit of finding a response.

Possumkit had stumbled into the Nursery as dusk the night before, much to Icewing's distraught. "Where have you been??" The queen was seething in anger, but still licked his face all over. "I was just in the Elders Den.... I was stuck telling stories and I fell asleep." That was greeted by a scoff. "You could have been killed! Do you have any idea what happened two days ago??" Well, no, Possumkit did not. He looked at Moonkit, his adopted sibling, with both shame and worry. Why did she look so ill? Icewing seemed to be as well. Did he worry them that badly? His ears pinned themselves against his head and they remained that way until the morning after. He would never be allowed to leave again until he was 6 moons old...
-------------------
Dancingwillow, meanwhile, hadn't returned to her body after she projected out of it during the reminisce of the Redwhisper attack. She had sat herself down in the Elders Den, silently watching and listening to her nephew tell fantastic stories that she, and apparently the elders, had never heard before. Though it had been a couple days, she simply felt too free and safe as a soul to return. Her physical form had been treated by Dawnflame and appeared to simply be in a deep sleep, and she would remain that way until this was all over--whatever it was.
-------------------
The entire ordeal was heavy on Rabbitstar. He hid himself in his den after Redwhisper's burial ceremony and after those in the attack were tended to. It was cold, first of all, and he could estimate that Leaf-Bare still had a moon left. Thankfully, the weather was as bleak and silent as the camp appeared to be now.
-------------------
Far from camp, in the reeds and heather of the moors outside of the Misty Forest, the click of a tongue resonated. A shadow hid itself amongst the cold and stiff grass, both for warmth and for solitude. But she was not alone. A caw replied to her clicking, and the black wings of a raven folded themselves to land in front of the black cat that was her friend and master.

((Also, Snail, Sootpaw and the shrew thing was part of a recap not what he was doing atm. :3 And Ruby should totes come talk to Raven and Trinket))
The sharp and, finally, clear bark of her mentor had Pepperpaw jolting to her paws in an instant. A haze of grogginess and irritation settled into her fur like a coating of dirt and she couldn't help the tired scowl on her face as she looked around the den. Of course her mentor was the only one coming to wake up their apprentice at dawn. Picking her way carelessly through the den, not caring about anyone she stepped on, the she-cat moved through the entrance of the den. Her shoulder brushed warmly against Skullpaw for a moment before she pulled away to stand next to Briarwind. "Why so early?" the black she-cat yawned as she looked up at the warrior.
--
A flash of white caught his eye by the apprentice den and Braveleaf craned his head to get a closer look. It was indeed his apprentice. He rose earlier than usual, that is a good thing! It meant more time for training. The golden tom didn't normally like to run his apprentice ragged but Sootpaw and Tawnypaw would be warriors soon and he was hoping that Skullpaw would be able to join them. To do so, he needed to have some intense soul power training. Braveleaf waved his tail showily to draw the younger tom to him without shouting and waking more cats up.
--
"I understand that feeling." Bluedusk mewed in reply, ducking her head in a brief but respectful greeting. Cloudripple would make for good company on such a bleak morning. "Do you mind waiting around just a little longer to see if we can snag one or two cats? Lot of predators roaming around during leaf-bare, you know?" The blue-gray warrior narrowed her eyes as she gazed out to the snow covered territory warily. Early on in the season, there had been a wolf skulking about and, lately, there had been other dangerous scents lingering around the territory as prey grew more and more scarce. It set her on edge.
--
Trinket complained to herself under her breath as she started to head back to her den, dragging the half-frozen body of a large fish behind her as she went. This was a common occurrence. Living alone meant not a lot of cats to talk to her and it was days like this that made her miss her family. She sometimes longer for days curled up in their warm den filled with wool and fur, with stones and shells and pretty things woven into the vines that hung from the ceiling. Where prey was plentiful and warmth was overflowing. She meant some of her siblings had found mates and had kits by now. She could imagine them all crowding into her mothers den, cramped but content. Trinket stopped near a patch of tall grass, sighing longingly around the tail of the fish that clouded her senses. Her cornflower blue eyes stared wistfully off into the distance as she lost herself in the crafted image of her family.

... ↪ Well it appeared that Pepperpaw was attempting to start conversation with her mentor, and Briarwind was one of the last cats Skullpaw wanted to share the presence of.
It sure seemed like a lifesaver when Braveleaf was around to spot him and wave him over with his tail. Still didn't save the fact that he and his friend would have to separate when they only just woke up together.
Skullpaw looked down and feigned licking his chest fur when his soulmate brushed right past him. He weedled out of the Apprentice's den from around Briarwind to dart over to his mentor. It was a legitmate dart as the apprentice tried to show off the use of her soul power's skills in front of him.
In his quickness, Skullpaw snook a peak of his father, Patcheye, watching out at sea while so perilously sitting at the cliffs.
When the black-and-gray tabby reached Braveleaf, Briarwind had already begun telling her apprentice that she'd slept for a day-and-a-half straight—likely all that rest being the reason the she no longer adorened a cough on every other word of her explanation anymore–and that now she felt fine enough to resume immediate training. What with the fighting and sickness that's been spreading, Briarwind was glad to be over hers and felt bad that she'd missed out on so much recently, but now she was going to have to make up for the lot that took on Redwhisper's possesser–including her brother, Jayshadow. He and Meadowlark appeared to have taken the most blows from that ordeal.
In payback she would now refuse to visit him in the medicine cat's den considering he never came in to see her...however, she was only just released. That notion began now. Briarwind rested her tail on Pepperpaw's shoulders and directed her towards Bluedusk and Cloudripple.

[[ Hm, can't say I didn't think of that one, Fog. A quick Google search didn't yeild any results from when an infected male mates with an uninfected female. However, I did read that even if a mother has rabies, her kittens won't. Most kittens die, though, because their mother probably dies from the disease not long after and the young ones starve. So if even a mother, who is carrying the offspring, can't pass on the disease to her young, it might be safe to say that a father, who doesn't even have contact with the growing offspring, couldnt, either. But it's really up for debate. It could happen if everyone was alright with it, I guess. It would certainly make things happy, but it would cause a bit of panic as well, as to if the kits were infected. I dunno. Just a thought and some guessing. Anyone else wanna offer any opinions or input? Or maybe background knowledge to either confirm or debunk my hypothesis? Oh, and sorry about missenterpretting Sootpaw's actions. I can edit tomorrow to fix. ]]
CLOUDRIPPLE // (Bluedusk): "No, I don't mind one bit. Better safe than sorry. We don't need anything else killing us off after that... Incident," the warrior said with disdain, sort of regretting bringing up the disease. It was days later, but fear was still gripping at her. No matter how much she tried not to think about it, Cloudripple thought about it, especially seeing her brother downed from fighting Redwhisper. She just kept worrying about him. He assure her that he was fine, though, so the she-cat decided she just had to trust him. She still felt stupid for bringing it up, especially when she wanted to be with Bluedusk to help cleanse her mood.
THUNDERFANG // (Silvernight): Picking up on the other warrior's discomfort, the tom sort of just blinked at her. Not being very social with others himself, he was really only familiar with the personalities of his sisters, which were both similar and straightforward. Silvernight... She was different. He couldn't read her all that well. It was a bit frustrating, and he always worried about saying the wrong thing, but he enjoyed trying to figure her out. She was all new territory. Sighing deeply, he said, "Well, I hate moping around being deadweight. I should really get back into things. Regardless of how I feel, I've got a job to do." Even though he said that, he didn't exactly plan on hunting today. Maybe doing a patrol later on would help, but he just wanted to get up and get out and maybe try to do something. All this sitting around thinking wasn't proving to be good for him.
RUBY // (Trinket): The small odd she-cat had spent the last few days observing. She observed the clan, which seemed to be missing a light. She observed Trinket, the strange hairless cat, from afar. She had no idea the cat was so close to her tree home, and she was still a tad worried, so she watched to make sure she wasn't doing anything malicious. Those rusty eyes watched everything around her, and she saw everything coming. Everything except for Trinket, who was by the tall grass patch that Ruby had fallen asleep in. The odd cat woke up and realized that the hairless rogue was walking past. Startled, the black she-cat jumped up, her head slightly poking up from the grass. In her usual rushed tone, she whisper-yelled, "What are you doing here? She spoke so fast, it almost seemed like she didn't even have time for her usual stutter, and like she had combined everything into one long, singular word. The question was odd, and it's clear Ruby had no idea where exactly she was.

{{I googled it and rabies is transmittable via mating with a male that has the virus. the article i read was about dogs though ?? and the male wasn't even infected, exactly - he was given a shot to not get rabies that carried live bits of the virus, and the female was infected after mating with him}}
--Silvernight straightened at his words, immediately meowing, "I'll come with you." There was a slight pause before she added, "And bring Brokenpaw." A few heartbeats passed before she realized she had virtually left the tom with no choice, and she once again wore an annoyed expression as she remembered she was supposed to be sensitive to others' desires as well. So many moons, so many seasons with no one but her sister and many kits around had left her social skills even more lacking. She rarely interacted with any of them, and hadn't broken that habit when she'd transitioned into Clan life. Silvernight considered adding something more that would leave the option up to him, but she knew the words would leave a bad taste in her mouth. Instead, the she-cat waited for his response somewhat impatiently, fur prickling slightly as she prepared herself to be shot down.

[[ Hm... What to do, what to do... It would be a shame if he killed her by trying to have kits with her. He's just trying to start a family. That would be excruciatingly sad for him. Poor guy up in Starclan seeing her possibly pregnant and rabid, and the clan having to put her down, too? Jeez. There goes his whole family. And it would be his fault. Man, I don't know what to do. ]]
THUNDERFANG // (Silvernight): Slowly trying to get up, the tom got to his paws and groaned a bit, stretching out his muscles, making a bit of a weird face. When he was up, he looked at her for a moment before responding, "I'm not sure if the kid's gonna have fun hanging around me and seeing me like this, but sure. I'm not gonna stop you." He shot her a small smile to reassure her, because she looked a bit unsettled, but kind of wished she had asked first; he was in pain and didn't really want a crowd around him, and he didn't want to scare off her son by being in pain and snapping or anything, but he couldn't say no to her. Part of him started to wonder if she liked him back, and she just wanted to see if he got along with her son. Thunderfang wanted to smile at that thought, but was a little too stiff and sore to. If that was the case, he was used to dealing with his younger sister, Hawkpaw, and she loved him. He wasn't sure about now, which made his chest ring with sudden sadness, but he brushed if off for now and tried to focus on the task at hand. Bring on the challenge, then, he thought, thinking of ways he had gotten Hawkpaw to like him that may work on this young tom.

((I'm still trying to figure out how the heck her past could ever tie in with Clan life, and now wondering how it would work with her death. Though the past showing up thing is optional - she left a bunch of kits of various ages with her half-sister, so the other she-cat could just look after them. I don't know. Things are confusing )) --Silvernight leapt to her feet as Thunderfang rose, watching his effort to pull himself up so with a mix of worry and annoyance. As he spoke, she let her fur lay flat, licking it in a few places to further emphasize her nonthreatening state. She slid to the den entrance carefully, expression shadowed as she backed out. "I'll go get him, then," she mewed quickly before slipping away. Silvernight scanned the camp as she entered into its meager light, her gaze lingering on the fresh-kill pile before spotting the apprentice she was looking for.
Brokenpaw noticed Silvernight turn toward him, and looked on in slight horror as she began toward him. He looked around quickly, trying to find any other reason the she-cat could be coming toward him, but there was none. With a dejected sigh, Brokenpaw met her burning gaze and waited for her to speak. "I'm going to take you out of the camp today," she said, slightly louder than was necessary. She was never very good at dealing with those younger than her, and even worse with ones she had known in her previous life. "We're going to go with Thunderfang. He was wounded in Redwhisper's attack, so he could potentially use the extra paws." Brokenpaw's lips curled back slightly in displeasure, his ears flattening and tail lashing. Before he could speak, however, the silvery she-cat added, "And you need to stop sulking." Brokenpaw sputtered slightly in indignation, but followed Silvernight as she started back to the warrior den.

Sorrelwing and Pebblegaze sit with Honeysong and Stonewhisker, just talking like they do for a little bit each day. They discuss their wants, and desires, as well as what's been going on around the camp, gossiping about anything and everything.
Poppyflower and Bramblequake don't know what to do with their time, since they've become new warriors, so they spend as much of their time as they can hunting, wanting to provide as much as they can for the clan. They normally head out with Hollyleap and Tornadoheart, since they're only a little bit more experienced.
Nightwhisper and Crowheart are constantly worried, especially with no medicine cat in the clan.

Pepperpaw reluctantly let Briarwind nudge her toward the camp entrance and the patrol there. She jerkily dipped her head towards the warriors in a respectful greeting before dropping behind the older she-cat and kneading her paws into the snow. It was too early for her to social. Bluedusk smiled at the apprentice but left her to her own devices before turning to the other warriors.
"Briarwind, its good to see you out and about." the blue-gray cat mewed with a smile before taking the lead, waving for the others to follow her. The sun was starting to higher in the sky, the snow shimmering under its light. "Cloudripple, I think we should go towards the Storm Falls and Jade Mountains. How does that sound?"
--
"Skullpaw, morning!" the golden tom mewed in greeting as his apprentice approached. It felt odd to him that Skullpaw was as big as him now....Braveleaf could remember his ceremony and how small he had bee at the time. It seemed so long ago. "How is the paw feeling today? Good enough for a bit more soul power training?" It still looked like the younger tom was favoring it a bit and his mentor didn't want to make it work by pushing him too hard. But time was of the essence. At this rate, Skullpaw would be the oldest apprentice in TempestClan history.

She lashed her tail impatiently as the apprentice with her puffed himself up more and more with annoyance and indignation, running through the previous few moments in his head. The raven cawed in alarm--much like a car might to an intruder--as the two she-cats came far too close to Raven's grassy perch. She stood up, tail high, and strolled in their direction. A hissing 'hush' breathed out of her lips at her avian companion. Perhaps they were friends. Raven liked friends. "Who approaches?" Her tone was as even as possible. This wasn't even her territory after all. She didn't believe in territories. Nyra, the bird, positioned herself atop the cat's head as they drew nearer. For a moment Raven was taken aback at the sight of the hairless one, but said nothing.

At long last, Jadekit was leaving the medicine cat den. She wasn't exactly an apprentice, nor someone's child, and so the den was still her home. Tumblekit--er paw--was too busy to talk to her. She didn't even get treatment from him anymore... The time of poppy seeds and face wrappings was behind her now. She wasn't aware of many things. One: why the other kits seemed to either stare or giggle at her. Two: why Fennelfur was gone. And three: why everyone was so down. Now, it was a particularly warmer day that day. If 'warm' was the right word for it. More cats seemed to be out, and it was a perfect time for Jadekit to be out as well. The only one around her age she didn't ever interact with before seemed to be Brokenpaw, just outside of the warriors den. So the scarred, one-eyed kit bounced up to him with a smile on her face. "Hi!"
