Hareleap responded with an enthusiastic yes and leapt down from his cold rock. He needed something to get his muscles warmed up and a border patrol was exactly what he was looking for. He padded over to the tom "Who else is coming with us," He mused, evergreen eyes looking around the slowly rising camp.
"I'd rather just lay here with you all day, but I supposed a hunting patrol would be fine." Geckoeyes purred at Fallowleaf. He wasn't a huge fan of leaf-bare and he definitely was not a fan of the snow. after just a mouse-length of time out there, and his paws were ready to freeze and fall off. The tom stood and twined his tail with hers and persuaded himself to exit the warmth of the den. The camp was blindingly white from the snow and his eyes burned as he pushed further into camp.

"Well Right now its just the three of us", Cavegrowl meowed swishing his tail to Honeybrook and himself and then to Hareleap. "We can head out, or we can wait a moment longer to see if anyone else wishes to join us", the tom added. The three of them were strong enough but if they wished for another he was sure it wouldn't be hard.
Winterstorm padded out of the warriors den stretching. The young warrior still wan't used to sleeping in a den with all of the warriors. Having only been a warrior for two moons though he was adjusting quite nicely. His pale green gaze then began to look around for the deputy to see if she was sending out any patrol he could join up with.
Fallowleaf rose and followed after the tom gently pushing past Winterstorm in a friendly manner. "Well lets make this a quick hunt them", the mottled she-cat meowed knowing that the tom wasn't fond of the cold with his short pelt. She herself didn't think it too bad due to her long thick fur but sadly Geckoeyes didn't have the luxury of long fur and was more susceptible to the cold weather.

Iceberry blinked, before letting out a small purr. "Sure! That sounds like fun. Perhaps there'll be some prey running about if we're lucky," She responded, ears twitching as she studied the entrance of the camp, wondering how hard this leaf-bare would be for the clan. She got up, pelt brushing against his as she passed by him, trying to ignore the burst in her chest as she padded past him.
Falconkit stirred, sitting up blearily. The she-kit was not one for waking up, but was finally up. She watched her sister, before getting up and padding up next to Rosekit, letting out a squeak of surprise at the sight of snow. "What is it?" She whispered, paw touching it experimentally.

Timberfall leaned into Iceberry as she moved past him brushing up against his pelt. The brown tom moved and headed straight for the clans camp entrance. Out into the tangled forest he went and it was a mixture of whites and greens. Still so early in leaf-bare some of the trees were still green the sap haven't yet gone to their roots. The tom looked back at the she-cat and slowed so she could walked by his side. Even though he was leader of the clan, he didn't wish for her to feel as a lesser around him. She was more important to him than she probably realized and he would choose her over anything.
"Its snow", Rosekit meowed to her sister as she stretched out her neck sticking out her head out into the falling snow. A couple of flakes landed on her and she jerked back into the safety of the den. Her eyes crossed trying to look at the snow that landed on her muzzle and was surprised to see that it faded away. "Where did it go?!" she exclaimed.

Iceberry glanced at the leader of their clan, surprised he was keeping in step with her. "Where shall we go?" She asked, enjoying the soft crunch of thin snow on her paws. She paused, waiting for his instruction. She may consider him more of a friend than a leader, but it was still his idea to leave camp, perhaps he had an idea of where they should go. She tested the air, feeling slightly disappointed at the fact that there was no prey near by.
"Its cold!" She mewed at the same time her sister was asking where it went. She stared in amazement as the snow disappeared once it landed on there pelts. "Its magic!" She corrected herself, bolting out of the nursery to play in the snow. The pale colored kit let out a loud squeal as she tumbled into a pile of snow, disappearing in the middle of it, surprised at the coldness of the snow.

"How about we head West. The forest canopy is thicker there, and there might be less snow and more prey", Timberstar meowed changing direction. As he did he made it a point to brush gently up against her to kindly steer her in the direction he wanted to go. Yes this was a hunting trip but the brown tom really saw it as the best way to get out of the camp to spend quality time with the she-cat. He had high hopes for the two of them and wished that may-be one day soon he would feel it right at ask her to be his mate.
Rosekit hesitated to leave the nursery and follow after her sister but when Falconkit fell into the depths of a snow pile no longer to be see she squeaked in surprise and darted after her. "Falconkit! Are you oksy?!", she called as she slowed down and carefully approached the deep snow. It was up to her belly now and she was starting to shiver from the cold as she tried to push her way closer to where he sister had fallen.

Lionsky nodded, whiskers twitching. "Of course. They're growing fast, and I'm sure many warriors would love the opportunity to mentor them when the time comes." She meowed brightly to the queen. Then, seeing that Falconkit had been buried in the growing layer of snow, Lionsky lowered her head and nudged the little kit up with her nose. A reminiscent pang clawed at her heart. She remembered when the idea of having kits of her own seemed like an exciting one, but that had been long ago. Pushing the thoughts away, she sniffed the crisp air. The she-cat would need to organize a hunting patrol soon, so she started pondering of who would be good for the duty.

"Oh," Her gaze flickered back to the little kit. "just thinking about who should be on the next hunting patrol." Turning her head, she analyzed the cats still left in camp. "Ah, yes, I'm afraid only the strongest warriors will be able to bear the cold.." She sighed dramatically, a playful glint in her eye as Lionsky looked back to Falconkit.

Name; Duskstorm Age; 20 moons Gender: Tom Rank: Warrior Description: a handsome black Tom with tufted ears and an 'X' shaped scar on his right shoulder. Deep honey eyes. His mother was an oriental kittypet. He is tall but thin; weak for a warrior but makes up for what he lacks in strength with speed. Mate/Crush: (feel free to make him one; female or male is fine, but the latter would be preferred.) Kin/kits: none. Other: Kits really love him for some reason. Geckoeyes padded after the she-cat, shaking the snow off his paws as he went. He shrugged his way through the camp entrance, trying and failing to slide past the snow covered branches. His tail tip tapped a low hanging branch and boom- a pile of snow landed on his hind end. He jumped forward quickly and shook it off, grumbling. He snuggled up next to Fallowleaf as they walked, burying himself into her side of thick fur. "Let's head east and try for some rabbits in the clearing," Geckoeyes suggested. Yes, he would be out in the open with the wind directly on him, but he needed to get his muscles stretched out and warmed up.
Hareleap sat in front of the tom. "Three is fine with me. You ready to head out?" Hareleap stood and shook the snow off his thick pelt.
Swallowsong sat on the edge of camp, trying to stay warm in the least breezy part of the camp. Her pale blue eyes darted around. She watched as Geckoeyes and Fallowleaf pad out of camp, presumably going hunting. Next she watched as Hareleap readied himself for a patrol with Cavegrowl and Honeybrook. She was itching to do something, but she didn't know what exactly.
Chickadeewing finally awoke in the rising sun. She stretched and padded out into camp, odd eyes squinted in the bright light reflecting off of the snow covered ground. Her stomach growl angrily but she didn't want to eat yet. She shook out her white and dirty gray pelt, tossing small snowflakes down onto the ground as she did. She was also looking for something to do, but if she couldn't find anything, so would probably disappear into the forest for a while.

{{ Sorry for my absence. Bloodrose Your cats have been accepted. We just recently did a two moon time skip. It is early-mid leaf-bare. It is around sunrise but the cloud cover and continuous falling snow makes it hard to tell the time of day. Timberstar and Iceberry are currently out hunting in the thick of the west side of Tangleclan territory. Cavegrowl is about to lead a dawn patrol to the marshlands border and then up and to the east. Cavegrowl can be Foxpaws mentor unless any other cat wishes to volunteer for the job. The rest of everyone is just starting their day }}
Willowpaw lay curled up tight within her warm moss nest her paws twitching from a dream. In this dream the sweet hearted she-cat was running. Not just running for any old reason, the poor she-cat was being chased her eyes wide in fear for her life. She could feel not one but three different creatures chasing her, their breath hot on her tail as she bolted from side to side through the snowy forest trying to gain some ground. Suddenly she burst through the camps barrier, "Help they are right behind me!", she exclaimed panting as she came to a halt trying to catch her breath as he pelt was puffed out twice its normal size. The medicine cat apprentice was only met with silence and as she looked up to see where everyone was she could see the tracks in the snow with smears of blood everywhere. A gust a wind then blew through the hollow stirring up the snow on the ground and uncovering the bodies of her clan-mates... as dead and littered throughout the camp. Gasping in horror Willowpaw started to back up not sure what to do. Just then a figure rose from the snow with the starry pelt of a Starclan warrior. "Willowpaw. A great danger is coming to Tangleclan, the snow will turn red with the blood of your brothers and sisters if the singers to the moon are not stopped." The pale grey and white she-cat stared wide eyed at the cat as it spoke the prophetic words to her. This was a warning, one that mus'nt be ignored. A cold wind blew again and a blizzard began to consume the she-cat with not white snow but with red, thick with the scent of blood. Jolting awake the medicine cat apprentice was panting, the words for Starclan still echoing in her ears.
"Yes of course", Cavegrowl meowed to Hareleap and took the lead and headed out of camp. The charcoal grey and black tom headed straight for the Marshlands border wanting to check there first. Hopefully the cats who lived there didn't dare to show their face hunting on Tanglclan territory. The clan had not seen much of the rouges from the Marshlands since right before Moss-star died and he was starting to think that that cat who threatened the clan spoke empty words.
Winterstorm noticed Chickadeewing still in camp lingering about and the white tom padded up to her with a friendly mew. "You think the snow will keep falling?", he questioned curiously just trying to strike up conversation to pass the time.
"Thank you", Viperfang meowed to Lionsky when she helped Falconkit out of the snow. "Falconkit, Rosekit come back into the nursery before you catch greencough", the warrior queen meowed trying to scare the kits. Taking the mouse she held it in her paws. "The first one here can have the first bite of fresh mouse", she added softening her tone.
Icekit was already at his mothers side along with Emberkit, but he knew to let the she-cats go first so he stepped back so they could go first.
Rosekit perked up at the sound of getting to try a mouse for the first time and she started to rush back into the den wanting to beat her sister in the race. "Last one there gets the mouse tail", she mewed jokingly.
Timberstar looked at Iceberry when she mentioned Viperfangs kits noticing that the she-cat had taken an interest in them. "Yes they have grown strongly, I pray to Starclan they all make it to new-leaf. Sadly the worst of leaf-bare is still yet to come. But around the end of new-leaf they should be old enough to be mentored and they would make the clan some strong warriors-to-be." As the brown tom spoke he made sure to keep alert as the snow started to thin out and they reach the heart of the forest in the west. Prey scents slowly started to surround them and he had a feeling that this would be a good hunt for them.

(Thankyou!! And yes, I'm happy with Cavegrowl being her mentor ) Duskstorm grumbled quietly under his breath as he paced around the camp perimeter, keeping an eye both on the camp activity and on the outside, shaking a paw every so often to kick off snow which clung to his toes. 'I hate snow.' He growled, shaking his body to remove the freshly-fallen from his pelt. Foxpaw sat nearby the nursery, watching the kits and viperfang with interest, the tip of her tail twitching as she strained against the urge to chase the falling snowflakes.

Emberkit heard his mother bribe his sisters with fresh mouse and, unlike his brother he leapt at the opportunity. He bounded after his sister, Rosekit and ended up toppling over her in the excitement. He tried to squirm his way back up but failed and instead batted at his sister playfully.
Chickadeewing shrugged, looking up at the flat gray sky. "It feels like it will never stop. Leaf-bare couldn't be over quick enough, in my opinion," the she-cat grumbled. The wind was starting to penetrate her pelt and she wasn't happy about it.
Hareleap padded silently alongside Cavegrowl. The patrol was heading towards the marshland border- not a surprising choice seeing as the clan had taking the rogues threat pretty seriously a few moons back. The tom was beginning to get little snowballs clinging to his long fur around his feet and he was having to shake them off regularly during his travels.

"If only the earth could do without this wretched season", Winterstorm replied. Noticing her becoming cold he moved and sat inbwteen her and the strong winter winds blocking them from touching her with his body. He had a long thick coat so it didn't bother him none to do this for the she-cat. It was the least he could do for a friend trying to help her get into a better mood.

(That's a good point 😂 Hello hound!)
Foxkit bounded behind the group, little legs straining to keep up as she tripped over roots and snow, occasionally completely disappearing- except for her bushy tail- beneath a snowdrift, before bursting out of it and continuing to follow. She didn't seem bothered that she was struggling to keep up, a big grin plastered on her face at being out with her mentor.

"Come now Foxpaw keep up", Cavegrowl encouraged in his own way. The tom sounded slightly annoyed by the young she-cat but anyone who knew him knew to just ignore it. The large dark tom was known to be a good mentor and only pushed those he believed in, and Foxpaw was one of them. Yes she needed a lot of work but the young she-cat had much potential. Continuing to lead the patrol to the Marshlands border the tom made his way out of the forest and into the clearing that was right before the river that marked the border. Flicking his tail at Foxpaw he beckoned her forwards. "Tell me. What do you scent?", the tom himself couldn't scent anything but the moldy pungent scent that came from the boggy land on the other side of the river. So far there was no sign of trespassers.

Foxpaw slid to a clumsy halt and almost fell head over heels, squeaking softly. She quickly righted herself and straightened up, nose twitching as she breathed in. Her face scrunched up with dislike of the pungent stink. 'Mud?' She hesitantly replied. 'It smells like its rotting.' She then added. 'Or something is.' She peered over the bog, careful not to get too close.

Grunting Cavegrowl was pleased with the she-cats answer and turned to follow the river upstream where they could cross over at the fallen oak without getting their paws wet. He then flicked his tail to Honeybrook and Hareleap to scent mark the area as they continued on. He himself took a couple bounds forwards and sprayed his scent on a clump of dead cattails before continuing on. The dark tom wanted to make sure that there was no way that Tangleclans scent could be missed even through the falling snow.
Now awake Willowpaw was still in shock from her dream. She must tell Stoneshadow! Scrabbling to her paws the pale grey long-haired apprentice started to look for her mentor. "Stoneshadow?!", she called out not sure of his whereabouts.

Honeybrook raised his paw, flicking it. He didn't like how the snow numbed his pads and slowed his gait. It made him feel clumsy and off balance. In any case though, he jumped over to a nice flat rock and sprayed a marking over it. It had been many moons since the last threat from that rogue tom and he had long doubted that they were going to a single thing. It made his whiskers quiver with amusement. Shaking his snow dappled coat, the tom quickened his pace and returned to Cavegrowl's side. "Hey, so, what do you think?" Honeybrook meowed, ear flicking. "I mean- you think they'll try anything? Honestly, I wonder if those cats can even make it through leaf-bare.. how long have they joined together again? One? Two moons..?" His voice trailed off in thought. It was a logical statement for the most part though. Who knew if the Marshland group could even work together? Were they good hunters? They certainly hadn't tried to make a move on TangleClan territory, that is. So maybe they weren't that foolish after all.
Lionsky watched the kits and their mother with a warm, placid gaze before returning to the camp's center. The snow was starting to fill up and between the crevices of the flat rocks and twisted vines. It wasn't that bad yet thankfully, but eventually it would soon be struggle to move through the camp with ease. She let out a huff, the cold air billowing out of her mouth. The winter moons were the most unpredictable.. but it was always a relief to pull through and be welcomed by the warm and blissful days of newleaf. The deputy gave her pelt a shake and leapt onto a flat rock. "Winterstorm! Chickadeewing! Duskstorm! Gather for the hunting patrol!" She yowled and then leapt squarely off the rock, landing on the ground.

Iceberry nodded, listening to what her leader had to say. "They sure are a rambunctious bunch," She purred in amusement, scenting the air, suddenly the smell of mouse reaching her nose. She studied the underbrush around her, spotting the small grey piece of fur among the roots. Slipping into a hunters crouch, the she cat slid a cross what was left of the snow, leaping forwards and catching the mouse, looking victorious.
Falconkit stayed near Viperfang, watching her siblings fight with wide, amused eyes. She liked watching her siblings play-fight, sometimes the pale she cat being a little too amused to actually play fight herself. The two moon old kit was a bit clumsy with her paws, anyways.
Stoneshadow had decided to go and get some fresh kill for him and Willowpaw, choosing a squirrel for the two of them. The tom slipped back into the den, eyes narrowing in worry at the panic in Willowpaws eyes. Setting down the squirrel, the tom studied her for a moment, "Whats wrong?"

Too focused on this, she tripped and squeaked, falling into a snow drift, the only thing visible her huge bushy tail.

"Well hopefully we wont have to worry about them until New-leaf. The scent of fox continually blows over from their territory into ours. Hopefully those foxes can keep those wanna-be warriors occupied for a while so they won't have time to think about crossing the border." Cavegrowls meowed was full of thought and he actually hoped that they wouldn't cause any problems. The usually battle ready tom had other things in mind and he didn't want some mouse-brained outsiders getting in his way. Finally making it to the Fallen Oak the dark grey tom fell silent for a moment as he cautiously clawed his way onto the large fallen tree. The river rushed below with ice cold water causing the tom to grib the tree trunk tightly with his claws. "Careful, the tree has a coat of ice on it use your claws", he warned shooting a stern glance to his apprentice Foxpaw. The last thing he needed was for his apprentice to take a soaking and make him dive in after her. Moving slowly he made it across and leapt down, his dark amber eyes looking for who was going to go next.
Winterstorm heard his warrior name called by the deputy and he perked up. "Yes! If I dont get my blood pumping some-how I feel as if my bones will freeze", the white long-haired lean tom meowed shaking the snow of that had started to gather on his pelt. Moving forwards he went to gather with the rest of the hunting patrol ready to sink his claws into something warm.
Timberstar watched as Iceberry's body moved stealthily through the whitening forest. He was memorized by her beautiful form and when she turned back around with the mouse in her jaws he shook his head to re-awaken himself from the trance and he waved his tail in congrats about her kill. Not wanting to be shown up he scented the air and the scent of mouse was still strong, a second mouse must be somewhere. Honing in his senses the large brown tom stalked forwards, towards a large dying fern. At its base a small mouse nibbled at it roots. Moving swiftly he pounced catching the creature in his paws and also causing an unseen mouse to dark out of the cover of the fern and straight towards Iceberry. "Get it!", he called to her hoping that they would successfully catch the family of rodents.
Despite the rumbling in her stomach Willowpaw didn't even notice the squirrel that Stoneshadow had brought for them to share. When asked what was wrong she moved forwards and spoke, eyes wide with worry. "Starclan has sent me a dream! A terrible warning of a danger that will come to the clan!", she meowed frantically. Quickly she told her mentor of her dream and the words spoken to her by the unknown Starclan warrior. "What does it mean?", she pleaded hoping that he had the wisdom and knowledge to make sense of the dream.
