Honeybrook perked up at the sound of the call. He let out a huff of exasperation, rolling over and getting to his paws. The cool night breeze ruffled his sandy coat, sending a chill down his spine. Sauntering gracefully off the outcrop, he sat down near Cavegrowl. His tail was wrapped tightly around his paws and his shoulders hunched. Honeybrook's pelt was still pretty damp and the cold squalls of wind didn't help any. His mind wandered off as he pictured his cozy nest, worn both physically and mentally from the day.
Lionsky shifted into a sitting position, her ears swiveling towards the deputy. She couldn't leave her beloved leader just yet. She had had a strong bond of trust with Moss-star and she would proceed to sit vigil until the elders buried her at dawn.

Stoneshadow had paid his respects to their former leader quickly as he and his apprentice prepared Moss-star for burial. The dark furred tom let out a soft, saddened sigh, remaining with his leader as his other clan mates paid their respects, the toms nose touching his leader gently. He was going to miss the she-cat, no matter what she had done for the past few moons. For most of his life, she was an incredible leader. The tom raised his head, hearing Timberfalls call, and lifted himself up, making his way slowly over to Highrock, searching for Geckoeyes, wondering how his littermate was doing.
Iceberry had made her way out to pay her leader her respects not long before Timberfall called the clan. The pale she cat wandered over to the Highrock, eyes wide with uncertainty.

Geckoeyes padded out of the den and walked close next to Fallowleaf. He licked her ear as she pushed forwards to pay her respects, and he waited back, letting some other cats go ahead of him. When his turn arrived, Geckoeyes padded forwards and nuzzled the empty body of his fallen leader. He spoke to Starclan quietly, and once finished, he backed off and retreated back to the mass of cats. As Timberfall called for a clan meeting, Geckoeyes scanned the crowd and his eyes fell on Stoneshadow, who was watching him. He dipped his head to his sibling. He couldn't imagine having to prepare the body of a fallen friend- it had to be hard.
Chickadeewing joined Lionsky by the body of their fallen leader. She may not have been as close as they had been but Chickadeewing had always felt safe with Moss-star as leader. Chickadeewing was a sensitive cat and any loss was a hard one in her book. She paid her respects to the fallen she-cat and dipped her head to Lionsky, sadly.
Hareleap swept his way out from underneath the viney overhang. His bushy fur was still a little flat from the rain, but he was quickly drying with the cold wind. He didn't feel a huge need to pay his respects to the dead she-cat, but he padded forwards and wished her luck in her travels. After all, that's the least he could do for her services to the clan. As Timberfall called for the clan meeting, Hareleap shuffled over to sit below Highrock. He was very interested in finding out who the new deputy would be.
Swallowsong sat in the middle of the ever growing mass of cats below the highrock. She had said goodbye to the fallen leader earlier than most and had spent a while just milling around with the other cats.

{{ @cookiecollector94 lazy penguin The new deputy ceremony is occurring if you guys wish to be apart of it. }} Timberfall watched as the cats had gathered around and after a moment he began to speak, his voice ringing out loud and clear despite the howling of the wind. "Moss-star was a brave and noble cat who led this clan through a peaceful time. Despite her leadership being shaky in the end she died as a warrior protecting the future of the clan, such and honorable act. May she hunt in green forests within Starclans borders." With that said the large solid brown tom gave a small moment of silence before continuing. "Tonight I will be traveling to Star Cave to receive my nine lives and my leader name, but before I go I will announce who the new deputy will be." Looking at all the cats below him he had considered this carefully and he was confident in his choice. "The new deputy of Tangleclan will be.... Lionsky!"

Lionsky blinked with surprise. It had taken her a moment to comprehend Timberfall's naming of title, but then she was reminded of Moss-star's once brave leadership and the many tales of ones before. She felt a determination root itself in her chest, as strong as an oak. Lionsky then rose to her paws, leaping up te rocky outcrop besides Timberfall. She gave a respectful bow to the future leader before lifting her chin and yowling. "I am honored to accept this position as deputy of TangleClan. I vow to serve you all the best I can until my days meet their end." With that she solemnly dipped her head and gave a quick tail flick to Timberfall before returning to the camp's center.
Honeybrook blue eyes flickered about. He was uncertain about the new leadership for the clan, but he gave his sandy pelt a shake to shrug the thoughts off. Maybe it would be for the best, who knew? He met Lionsky with a friendly shoulder stroke, giving the newly named deputy a meow of congratulation. Honeybrook's limbs felt weary with exhaustion and he stepped away from the crowd, stretching luxuriously. He gave a final glance towards Moss-star, sending a prayer to StarClan and then disappeared through a swath of moss and vinesz

Viperfang shad come to stand at the dens entrance for the ceremony and when Lionsky was chosen as deputy the queen was pleased. In her opinion Lionsky would make a wonderful deputy, she was a well rounded warrior who held the respect of many if not all the clan. "Lionsky! Lionsky! Lionsky!", the queen cheered loudly as was custom to do.
Cavegrowls amber eyes fell upon the new deputy as she bounded down from away from Timberfall and back to where she had been sitting vigil. The long-haired charcoal grey toms mind was churning deviously as he eyes the she-warrior like she was a piece of prey. "Lionsky! Lionsky!", the tom cheered with the rest of the clan, his voice low and without enthusiasm. There was something going on in the dark toms mind and it only seemed to grow bigger the more he thought about it.
Willowpaw and Winterpaw were sitting side by side for the ceremony their white and pale grey pelts molding together as if they were a mirror image of each other. The two apprentice siblings loudly cheered for the new deputy, happy that Timberfall had chosen a strong popular warrior.
Fallowleaf cheered the new deputy's name, "Lionsky! Lionsky!", from her position next to Geckoeyes they had been able to see the ceremony clearly. Now that it was coming to an end and the moon was high in the sky the mottled she-cat pressed up against the solid tom for warmth. She was more than ready to curl up with him in the warriors den and sleep for eternity.

[cavegrowl the creep.. lol jkjk]
Lionsky thanked her clan mates with a gentle purr, promising to the lead the clan to the best of her ability. When the ceremony was over she returned to the vigil. Even though Lionsky was incredibly worn from the day she felt it was her duty to sit for the final night and pay her respects. Her eyes were half closed and her fur ruffled about from the chilly breeze.
Honeybrook had snoozed off in his nest, curled tightly. No movement occurred in the tom while he was in a deep sleep.

Swallowsong, Hareleap, and Chickadeewing cheered for the new deputy, happy with Timberfall's decision. Lionsky was a dedicated clan member and deserved her new position. Chickadeewing dipped her head to the she-cat as she rejoined her near Moss-star's fallen body.
Geckoeyes cheered for the newly appointed deputy and then leaned into Fallowleafs warm fur. He opened his mouth wide and yawned silently. He shook out his pet and looked around. Some cats had retreated back into their dens, but there were still plenty out and about. The wind was blisteringly cold and it pierced his coat like a knife. Geckoeyes looked up into the night sky and watched as the stars emerged.

{{ Lol yes creepy Cavegrowl }} Cavegrowl decided then to retire back to his nest and left the thrall of cats and headed straight for the warriors den. The dark tom was exhausted from the days labors and didn't wish to really speak with anyone right now. Reaching the den he curled up in his nest and covered his face with his long fluffy tail ready to fall into a deep slumber.
With the ceremony now over Timberfall didn't want to waste any time and felt the strong urge to travel to Star Cave and receive his nine lives and leader name. "Stoneshadow, Hareleap, Winterpaw. Will you please accompany me to Star Cave?", the tom asked kindly as he jumped down from ontop highrock and landed on even ground. Stoneshadow would need to accompany him, and he had decided earlier that it was time to make Winterpaw a warrior so it was important that he made the journey to the sacred cave before his warrior ceremony. Hareleap on the other hand was one of Timberfalls most trusted warriors now and the brown tom wished to take comfort in traveling with a dear friend. His eyes then began to stray looking for Iceberry. The white she-cat had been on his mind and he wished to say farewell to her before he left.
Fallowleaf watched as Geckoeyes yawned and the she-cat couldn't help but yawn as well, her mouth opening wide and her white teeth flashing in the moonlight. She was tired but there was still some energy left within her, probably restored by the nap they had had before the ceremony. Wanting to warm up there was only two things she could think of doing. Going and crawling back into her nest in the warriors den or going out for a quick run. The though of a run tugged at her and look looked at Geckoeyes. "Want to go out on a quick midnight run, maybe hunt something to share while we're out?", she asked the tom curiously.

Timberfall nodded and sat down to wait for the herbs he would need for the journey. As he waited he noticed Iceberrys white pelt a few fox-lengths away looking at him. The large brown toms ears perked up and he stood and walked over to greet her. "How are you feeling? Sorry I haven't had the chance to come check on you", he meowed apologetically to the pretty she-cat not wanting her to feel neglected by him.
Willowpaw sat next to her brother blabbing on about a new herb that her and Stoneshadow had found, completely oblivious to her mentor needing her assistance. (( Lol Willowpaw... typical girl XD ))

Hareleap stood and padded over to Timberfall. "I'd be honored." He meowed to the tom. He shook out his thick tawny coat and readied himself for the journey. The older tom had never been given the honor to accompany a cat to Star Cave and he was pleased that the first cat he accompanied was Timberfall. Hareleap sat and awaited Timberfall's return, noting his urge to say goodbye to Iceberry, the minty eye tom smirked slightly.
Geckoeyes' bright eyes sparked when the she-cat offered up a run. He turned his head and purred at the she-cat. "What kind of question even is that," He mewed and then stood. He stretched out his long body and dug his claws into the soft earth beneath him. He twined his tail with Fallowleaf's and padded forwards towards the camp entrance, letting his long, dark tail slip from hers.
Swallowsong yawned and stretched, eyes drooping slightly, tired from the days events. She padded into the warriors den and tiptoed past Cavegrowl, attempting not to wake the warrior. She curled up in her nest near the back of the den. Her long, pale tan tail curled around her and she laid there, eyes open, thinking about everything that had happened.
Chickadeewing poked Lionsky's shoulder with her tail tip, purring to the she-cat "Congrats! Timberfall made a great choice!" The white and dirty gray cats ears twitched in the cold breeze, but she didn't seem overly worried about it.

Fallowleaf followed him to the camp entrance and when they reached the vine tunnel she pushed through it and out into the cold crisp forest. "Lets get this run started", she meowed and took off at a relaxed run, he long fur streaming out and flowing in the wind. Her muscles rippled beneath her pelt as she leaped over the tangled roots and vines that littered the forest floor.

Geckoeyes padded after her and loped beside her at a comfortable pace. Streaks of silver light shot across his dark pelt as the moonlight peaked through the thick canopy above them. He leapt over downed logs and vines easily, leg muscles pumping with every jump. He watched the gorgeous she cat run beside him, always happy to have her by his side. He brushed up against her and then decided to take her somewhere beautiful. He pulled ahead of her a bit and steered the duo towards his favorite spot. Soon the two cats burst through the dense treeline and they emerged near the clan border. There in front of them was the beginning of the marshlands, which were usually muddy and unspectacular.. but for some reason, at night, the place comes alive. The small pools of water reflected the stars and moon, crickets chirped and the toads croaked. The large quantity of cat tails brushed back and forth in the cold breeze that still plagued the night. The most stunning part though, were the thousands on lightning bugs that buzzed above the water, blinking their little yellow lights with enthusiasm. Geckoeyes looked at Fallowleaf and spoke quietly, as not to disturb the sight in front of them. "This is my favorite spot on the territory. I thought you would like it."

"Willow paw, once your done talking with your littermate, why don't you help me?" Stoneshadow asked wryly, his whiskers twitching once he saw his apprentice, busy talking to Winterpaw. He slipped into the den quickly, looking for the right herbs that they would need for this journey. Listing them off mentally, the tom grabbed them carefully and set them into piles, deciding he would let his apprentice put the mix together.
"Oh no, you had things to do for the clan," She mewed quickly, flicking her ear with a purr. She didn't want him to think that she was upset, the white she cat was well aware about the dutys the new leader already had. It didn't bother her in the slightest.

Curled up tight in the hollow's center, Lionsky rose her head when Chickadeewing spoke. Her whiskers twitched with gratitude. "I appreciate that. I do hope I serve the clan well..." She meowed, trailing off in thought before gazing wide-eyed up at the glittering stars. Silverpelt looked beautiful especially with the clouds starting to fade away. Her attention focused back on the white-gray she-cat. Lionsky sighed. "Especially with the Marshlands.. Rumor is they are starting to join together. Let's hope they prefer peace and not war." She shook her head slowly, there was doubt in her tone. She started to feel guilty and somewhat on edge. What if the bands of rogues and loners invaded TangleClan? Injuring warriors, kits? Leaving the camp in destruction? Would it be my fault? She tried shaking away the thoughts but anxiety sparked in the depths of her pale green eyes. She had had enough experience with lone cats to know not all had such friendly intentions..

Fallowleaf was at lost for words. The mottled brown and red she-cat was surprised by the beautiful landscape before her. "Wow....", she exclaimed trying to take it all in. The flickering of the lightning bugs and the reflection of the white burning stars off the black water really made the place light up and look... almost magical. "I can't believe I've never seen this before! How did you come across it?", she asked curiously as she turned and looked at Geckoeyes grateful that he had revealed this beautiful place to her.
Willowpaw flinched at her mentors words and lowered her head and flattened her ears in embarrassment. "I'll talk to you late I have to go", she meowed to Winterpaw quickly before rushing to her mentors side. "I'm so sorry Stoneshadow. What would you like for me to do?", she asked wanting please her mentor.
Winterpaw watched as his sister bounded away to help her mentor and the white tom got up and padded over to where Hareleap and the others who were going on the journey were gathering up. The apprentice was excited to finally go to Star Cave, and he had a feeling that since Timberfall had chosen him to tag along that he might be made warrior soon. His long white pelt fluffed with excitement and his pale green eyes glowed with enthusiasm as he waited for them to leave.
"But your important to me too", Timberfall meowed to Iceberry warmly wanting the she-cat to know how he felt about her. "I must go now, but maybe tomorrow at dawn we can take a walk through the forest together?", he suggested wanting to spend time with her.

FalconwingStormgaze went with Viperfang into the nursery and purred,"Happy event isn't it?" The tom brushed against his mate with affection and watched his 'kit' sleep or either play with each other. He softly purred to himself,"What a good life I have now."

Timeskip - 2 Moons Current Season - Leaf-bare Current Weather - Light snow Current Time of Day - Dawn
Timberstar padded forth out of his den from underneath highrock and looked out over the Tangled Hollow. There was a thin white blanket of snow covering the camp and against the skyline the solid brown tom could see the grey sky begin to pink as the sun started to rise. Sadly he could tell that there was no chance of being able the feel the warmth of the day star today, for a layer of thin snow clouds covered the skies causing small flakes to fall to the ground. Leaf-bare was here and now all they could do was power through it.

Iceberry slipped out of the warriors den, crouching low to the ground, enjoying the fact that no other cat could see her, and that she looked nothing more than a lump of snow. Contrary to most clan cats, leaf-bare was her favorite season. She was a better hunter in the snow than in the grass and roots due to her coat, and, although prey was scarce, when she found some prey she could usually catch it. She glanced over towards Timberstar, trying to stop a purr from rising in her throat. The two had become closer over the past two moons. They weren't mates... Not yet at least. He had a clan to run and she had a clan to help feed, and that was that.

Timberstar noticed Iceberry slip out of the warriors den and his tail flicked happily at the sight of the she-cat. Quickly he trotted towards her his paws crunching as he traveled over the snow leaving paw steps in the white powder behind him. "Would you like to go for a morning hunt with me?", the large brown tom asked his voice full of warmth as he stood close to the she-cat.
Viperfang looked out into the white of the nurseries entrance. The queen was worried about what this leaf-bare might bring but at the sound of Rosekit waking at her belly she looked down at all four of her strong and healthy kits and her worries faded away. They had grown so much within the past two moons, already running around the den and play fighting like wanna-be warriors. The queen felt blessed by Starclan to have had all her kits survive this far.
Rosekit woke with a loud yawn and stretched out her solid dark russet limbs pressing on her siblings that surrounded her. She could see her mother already awake and looking down on them and the she-kit blinked lovingly up at Viperfang before starting to venture to the dens entrance. She knew better than to step a paw outside with the snow falling down and risk her mothers sharp tongue so she just lingered at the edge and looked out at all the white.
Icekit could feel Rosekit stir next to him but the dark tabby tom-kit didn't move. He was warm and cozy and wasn't quite ready to wake up and greet the world yet.
Cavegrowl was on his paws and looked out the warriors den from where he stood still in his nest. He could see the snow still falling lightly and Timberstar come up and meet Iceberry who had just left the den. Looking away the long-haired dark grey tom looked at the other sleeping warriors. Lionsky had instructed him last night to lead the dawn patrol and so now that he was awake they might as well get a move on. "Dawn patrol! Come on lets go", he called out making sure he was loud enough to wake up some of the sleeping warriors so they could join him. With that said he pushed his way out of the den and past his leader with a curtious nod and went and stood at the camps entrance ready to leave.
Fallowleaf was curled up closely to Geckoeyes, and she woke to find her muzzle pressed into his fur to keep her nose warm as she slept. The she-cat pulled he face away and started to blink the sleep from her eyes. She wondered if she should join the dawn patrol or wait to see if Lionsky would send her out on a hunting patrol.

Honeybrook was asleep on a sheltered ledge, his sandy fur fluffed about in response to the cold of leaf-bare. He dreamed of sunny green-leaf mornings, his leg twitching every once in a while. When Cavegrowl's howl rang in his ears, he was ripped from his comforting sleep. He had promised to join the dawn-patrol the night before, but that didn't mean he wasn't irritated. Honeybrook couldn't stand cold weather. That was when the watering holes started to freeze, plants died, and prey hibernated away. It was all a drag, really. Snorting, he scratched his ear with his leg and jumped down after Cavegrowl. "Where to first?" Honeybrook asked, though not very much minding the tom's opinion, whether he was patrol leader or not. "Say, we should check the southern border- yes, yes. The southern border.. ah, because-" He fumbled off, trying to assure his words. "because of- the rogues of course! Wouldn't want the mouse-brains stealing our prey, now would we?" Feeling righteous with his decision, he puffed his chest and marched straight ahead.
Lionsky returned to camp, flecks of white snow dappling her pelt. A mouse and vole dangled from her jaw. It wasn't much but it was fine considering prey would be a lot more scarce by mid-leafbare. She dropped her vole into the pile and approached Viperfang with a friendly tail flick. Her kits looked healthy and seemed to be growing bigger and bigger each day. "A mouse for you and your kits?" She offered, the mouse's tail clenched in her jaw. She didn't say anything, but it was possible that all the kits wouldn't survive the winter.. When sickness chose to strike it was as ruthless as a badger. Even Lionsky had recently recovered from a bout of ill health. Having been out in that storm for so long moons ago took its toll on her. In any case, her green eyes shifted sternly. As deputy of TangleClan she would do her best to keep her clan strong and thriving.

At the smell of mouse Icekit opened his eyes and rose to his paws wobbling slightly as he shook the moss litter from his pelt. Moving close to the deputy who still held the mouse dangling in her jaws the small tom sat down and watched the mouse swing with his ice blue eyes. Unable to tame himself he jumped up and swatted at the mouse playfully.
"Icekit! Behave yourself!", Viperfang meowed sternly to the tom-kit before looking at Lionsky. "Thank you Lionsky, this is greatly appreciated. Its been a while since I have had a fresh mouse, its hard to get out and hunt for myself with four lively kits." The queen swiped her tail to gather Icekit to her side and Rosekit who also started to move towards the mouse.
"Yes the southern border sounds good but then we must make our way north. Now that its leaf-bare we risk the wolves coming down from the mountains due to scares prey. We must make sure they havn't returned to the forest", Cavegrowl meowed to Honeybrook. He wasn't sure if the young tom remembered the last time the wolves came down from the mountains and reeked havoc on the clan. Cavegrowl had just been made a warrior when the wolves first attacked, and the tom remembered the death that was brought to clan.

Geckoeyes grumbled sadly as Fallowleaf untucked her nose from him. He rolled over onto his back and pawed at the she-cat lazily. The tom looked up at her with a happy spark in his eyes. He was totally content when he was with Fallowleaf, and he never expected that to change. Geckoeyes quickly rolled back over and crawled closer to the beautiful she-cat and began to lap at her fur, brushing it down.
Hareleap sat near the edge of camp. The thick-coated tom and been awake for a while now and had been trying to warm himself on a rock- with little success. Lucky for him though, his thick fur kept him much warmer than most of the other cats in the clan. He didn't mind leafbare, if he was being totally honest.
Chickadeewing snored happily in her nest. She was curled into a tight ball, trying to ignore the quickly awaking cats around her.
Swallowsong rose from her nest and stretched out her long, tan legs luxuriously. Her pale, icy blue eyes were still burdened with sleep, but she wanted to get up and out on a hunting patrol.

"Should we go hunting or on patrol?", Fallowleaf meowed softly as she returned the licks to the toms pelt. Over the past two moons the two cats had grown quite close and Fallowleaf had never felt warmer during a leaf-bare.
Cavegrowl noticed Hareleap not to far away and waved at the tom with his long fluffy tail. "Hareleap! would you like to join the dawn patrol?", he asked the tom curiously. The dark grey tom would like to have a strong experienced warrior who also knew how to fight away wolves just in case they ran into a pack or even a lone wolf.
