Also Mudfleck finally gets to get back at Dapplepaw for the prank hehe Lots of pranks happening this moon. @ all I'll narrate for Frostfleck's patrol prompt this moon; if jas doesn't respond by tonight claiming her, then I'll open her back up to any new joiners tomorrow. @swaggycassie and I are the only patrol leaders this moon. Quiet is good, though, and there's a lot of argument relationship pips to explore~ ]] |

Also apparently he now hates Bubblingstar?? UH please let me know if you want that lowered because that's a little out of nowhere? I'll make sure it stays under half so No Murder happens but I guess that explains why he'd take credit for something Bubblingstar did, if he dislikes him so much. |

It was only a minor negative, so it could also simply be a misunderstanding or taking something out of context (or just something that Icepath said to someone else that rubbed Frostfleck the wrong way) that's all up to you |

Sand - I lowered his dislike of Bubblingstar to 15. I love how their traits are "Loving" and "compassionate" and apparently they also canNOT get along.
Mr.Drift's patrol and rendezvous(tm) will be up soon~

I understand that my cats will eventually die during the course of the game. I understand that while I may influence my character's actions and relationships, the game's random events will ultimately decide my cat's fate. QUACK Frostfleck padded into the apprentice’s den to see her apprentice, Dapplepaw in the morning after assigning patrols to the warriors for the day. She was very excited to train her in the ways of the warrior, and she is going to take her out in YewClan’s territory to teach her about the creatures of the forest, and which are prey and which are dangerous. She would like to ask the young she-cat to come with her. |

BurdockClan scent. The border was full of it, of course, mixed with YewClan's familiar scent that was so familiar to Scarletdrift that his nose ignored it entirely, leaving just BurdockClan's bitter tang heavy on his tongue. He was at the front of the group, walking down the border line and pausing every once in a while to reset the markers.
Scent pooled below his paws, a thick trail leading right into YewClan's territory. Scarletdrift bristled, his hackles raised and lip peeled back into a snarl, bringing more of BurdockClan's scent, revealing the sour stench of fear layered underneath. And not the light fear that came with tresspassing to steal prey, the fear of being caught. No, this was a dense fear, terror, which sent ice shooting into Scarletdrift's blood just from the smell of it.
He turned to Spottedfur and Mudfleck, his claws already unsheathed, gripping at the earth as if he had to hold himself in place. "A BurdockClan cat fled into our territory," he announced. "It's very recent. If we were any closer, we would have heard them." He glanced left, into YewClan's forest, noting the snapped branches, broken stems, torn leaf litter and dirt in a wide trail. A single cat couldn't possibly have caused that much damage, even running recklessly. "Something was chasing them. Something big. We should follow, if only to make sure they're not leading it straight to our camp."

"It's just Rose, now," the ginger-and-white molly mewed.
She looked so much like Pollendew it hurt. Still, Scarletdrift stepped forward, over YewClan's border to the forest beyond. He touched his nose to hers, purring. "I hope you're doing well then, Rose."
She didn't meet his eyes, but that was okay. She'd always been the shy one. "It's been alright. Better than I hoped. My paws keep bringing me back to this forest and I thought--I thought I'd check in. How is Bubblingstar? Bramblespots? How are your kits? Beekit and Frostkit, right? They must be warriors now."
"Yes! They are Beesong and Frostfleck now," Scarletdrift said excitedly, practically glowing with pride. "Frostfleck is YewClan's deputy."
Rose's ears flicked back, her tail drooping. "Then Bramblespots--"
Oh, yes, that was logical. Bramblespots had been only a few moons older than he and Rose, nowhere near retiring. "FlowerClan killed her," he said softly. Scarletdrift touched his nose to her ear, comforting, and let the molly have a few moments of silence. It was different, he thought, sharing this moment with Rose. Odd how he felt he had more history with her--a loner, now--than most anyone else in YewClan after Pollendew died.
"And Bubblingstar?" Rose finally mewed. Scarletdrift nodded and shared the gossip of the Clan for the rest of the afternoon, taking comfort in the company of a molly he grew up beside--practically littermates--sharing stories, quiet moments, and laughing until his sides ached.
But darkness crept up and soon they were saying farewell. "I'll try and visit again, when I can," Rose said, touching noses with him once again.
"I'm glad you found out how to be yourself, Rose. Be careful out there, yeah?"

 Spottedfur : placing a gift in Beesong's nest Spottedfur glanced around the camp clearing, his silver eyes scouring the area for Beesong. He enjoyed spending time with the fellow warrior. Ever since she got bit by a bee, the speckled tomcat had been secretly checking in on her. He always felt comfortable in her presence and he hoped that Beesong felt the same way.
The senior warrior carried a long, red cardinal feather in his maw gingerly. His gaze darted around as he made his way to the warriors' den, hoping that no cat would see him. As compassionate as Spottedfur was, he suddenly felt giddy inside like a kit. The excitement led him to Beesong's nest, doing his best to not disturb any cat inside the den.
Spottedfur dashed over to Beesong's moss nest with the feather intact. He carefully cleared out the old moss and pushed it aside. The silver speckled tom grinned to himself before placing the red cardinal feather in her nest. He moved his paw around slowly, making sure that the gift was visible for Beesong.
Perfect! Spottedfur thought, leaning down to pick up the old moss he had cleaned out of Beesong's nest. He quickly padded out of the den with the moss, acting as if he was just cleaning up the den. No cat would suspect that Spottedfur had left Beesong a gift. |

Spottedfur : BurdockClan border patrol While tagging along on Scarletdrift's border patrol, Spottedfur padded cautiously after Scarletdrift and Mudfleck. He was never one to moan and groan over other clans' scents, but BurdockClan's was a different story. It was straight up disgusting although he wasn't prepared to admit that yet.
He made his way after Scarletdrift, marking the border line where the long-haired tom hadn't. All of the sudden, his pink nose scrunched up in disgust. It didn't take the senior warrior long to notice that Scarletdrift was bristling at the sickening scent. Wait... something was wrong. BurdockClan had left a repulsive amount of scent behind on YewClan's side of the border. How unusual, the silver speckled tom thought. Scarletdrift must've noticed it too.
Before he could even ask the white and ginger tom about the pooling scent, the patrol leader had already turned to him and Mudfleck. Immediately, Spottedfur began examining the territory around them. Broken branches, leaves, stems, and dirt were scattered around. His gaze searched farther, looking for any signs of another cat. "They have to be around here somewhere," the senior warrior commented.
As Scarletdrift continued on, Spottedfur couldn't help but wonder where the BurdockClan cat went. If they were being chased, what predator was lying in wait for their patrol? What if it was a ploy? "You're right. We can't let them get any farther," he meowed. "Only StarClan knows what's waiting for us."

The she-cat sniffed through the grasses, looking for the burdock. It's distinctive, bitter scent. Her nose hadn't wrinkled yet, so that she obviously hadn't found her. Her ears were flat against the head and nose almost touching the ground as she looked for the plant. Icepath's tail snaked behind her, occasionally she would lift it and sniff the tangle of herbs that had gotten stuck in her thick fur, but other than that nothing interesting happened.
Icepath glanced at Beesong, her face turning red when realizing she hadn't told the warrior what they were looking for. "We're...uh...looking for burdock." She said, ears warm with embarrassment.
"Bitter smell, large, pale leaves." She attempted to describe the plant, "Sometimes a thistle-looking bulb at the top with a purple-pink flower." Icepath let out a sigh, out of breath from the rush of words. The smoke continued her search, fur fluffing out as a faint, nose-wrinkling scent drifted down the breeze.

She noticed how she was watching her warily, like if she doesn't agree with her being the deputy of YewClan. A fire ignited in her stomach, and she raised her hackles. "Why are you staring at me like that, mouse-brain?!" Frostfleck meowed at Icepath."What's gotten into you? I'm trying to finish my duties before heading off to the fresh-kill pile to eat! I'm starving!" It was hard controlling her temper when the healer is literally staring at her doing her deputy duties! |

Mudfleck
 on patrol // with scarletdrift & spottedfur
The Mudfleck padded through the sun-dappled trees, his head and tail held high as he renewed the YewClan scent-markers along the BurdockClan border. He was assigned the border patrol with Scarletdrift and Spottedfur, and he separated from the two to get the task done more quickly. Now he was on the way back, feeling confident that there was no sign of invasion on his half of the border.
Until he neared their checkpoint. BurdockClan scent flooded all his senses. His tabby coat immediately began to bristle and he hurried to find the others. Invasion! He was sure of it now as the fear scent mingled with the rival Clan. But as he entered the clearing, his clanmates stood, untouched. And he could make out Scarletdrift's words- talk of a cat fleeing its way across the scentline, a predator hard on its trail. "How can we be sure?" Mudfleck queried as he neared the two toms, his striped tail flicking impatiently. There was another scent along with BurdockClan scent, and the undergrowth was in disarray as if a large animal trampled through it. But it was better to be safe than sorry after Bramblespots.

Dapplepaw had caught him off guard two moons prior, following in her mentor's pawsteps in playing silly tricks on her clanmates. But Mudfleck was capable of silly tricks as well. Three can play that game! The tom emerged into camp, glancing around cautiously to make sure no one was around. It was nearly sunset, and things were slow in camp. The tabby continued onward, a wad of mass held gingerly in his jaws. He veered toward the apprentice den.
During the young apprentice's prank, Dapplepaw played a foul trick leaving what, at the time, was thought to be a snake just behind Mudfleck. But he had one better. In his wad of moss was containing angry fire ants. He'd riled them up and wrapped them up in his wad before returning to camp. Dapplepaw would return to her nest in for a rude awakening.
Stealthily, Mudfleck crept into the shelter of the apprentice's den. It was empty- all the scents were stale. Glancing over his shoulder once more, he dashed to Dapplepaw's nest and dropped his wad, mixing in the ant moss with her bedding. A mischievous grin on his maw. Maybe it was far, but this was a lesson to teach the pesky apprentice not to pull tricks on her clanmates. When he thought everything was perfect, the warrior rose, shook out his pelt, and dipped out of the den. His green eyes flickered around the clearing to ensure no cat spotted him.
This will be great! Mudfleck thought, settling himself in a corner watching the camp entrance intently for his opponent's arrival. And now, we wait. |
