Later that afternoon, Tumbleflicker asks Swampsight to join him at Eagle’s Nest for the night. He says he needs to tell her something important. Swampsight, confused, tentatively agrees and follows her adoptive father up the cliffs to the isolated cave.

“I wanted to apologize,” Tumbleflicker starts.

“For what?” is Swampsight’s quick response, her green eyes wide.

It’s not easy for Tumbleflicker to confess, but he knows deep in his gut that he has to do this. “I haven’t been the best father. I wasn’t ready –I was barely a warrior– but you gave me no choice. As soon as Fennelriver took over your training, I thought I could give away the responsibility of raising you. I ran away. And I think that’s the worst choice I’ve ever made in my life.” Swampsight doesn’t have words, gaping like a beached fish. It reminds Tumbleflicker of when she was a kit, so much so that he feels laughter and sobs tugging at his chest in equal measures. “I want to apologize to you for running away when you needed me, and maybe ask if you’d give me another chance? At being a good father, that is.”

Swampsight crashes into his flank, startling him, but as she buries her nose into his flank, he wraps his tail over her comfortingly. “StarClan I- I thought it was me. I thought there was something wrong with me, or that I was too annoying, or too clingy, or-or–”

“There’s nothing wrong with you,” Tumbleflicker mews, letting a deep purr comfort her. “You’re a wonderful healer and a wonderful cat, the best anyone could ever ask for. Swampsight, you healed the entirety of FlameClan single-pawed. I am so, so proud of you.”

The fawn tabby’s purrs start as a stutter, but quickly match Tumbleflicker’s. He wraps himself around Swampsight licking over her ear in soothing strokes. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I won’t run away this time.”

“Promise?” Swampsight asks, her voice muffled and soft buried in his shoulder.

“I swear to all of StarClan, I will never abandon you again.”

I knew that Iciclefeather really really liked Brightfluff, but to the point of murdering Budclover? //sob.

okay suddenly went from no kits or apprentices to SEVEN KITS (Frogecho had 4 and Gullmask brought back three more) Welcome (breathe) Quietkit Ravenkit Stoatkit Flitkit Acornkit Leafkit and Ratkit. They are all pale grey or light grey, mostly bengal tabbies or masked for the lot of them. They all look like a cross between the two parents lmao Good luck in 6 moons to all the mentors.

This is the third time Kestrelmask went on a hunting patrol with the "waltzing without a care in the world" event and the first and third time, they caught absolutely nothing. The second time they caught more than the other two cats combined, impressing them all, but she doesn't have a great track record for this stunt lmao

relationship check! Any good things? Foxstar is good friends with almost all the original cast. Green love and security on most. He still has a crush on Icetuft (the broken back molly) but she turned him down a while ago oof.
Deputy Birdnettle is 127 moons; probably going to retire soon. He really dislikes Skyheart for some reason? She's a newish warrior. Loves Gullmask tho, he's the same age as Skyheart.
Our meddy cat Ridgepeak LOVES skyheart. Max love and mostly full reliance. 0 trust tho lmao. He has a crush on Kestrelmask... but also equally likes and dislikes her ~30% each. okay.
Kestrelmask ADORES Skyheart, Jayswipe (young warrior gal) and Fluffraven (senior warrior) Has a crush on Fluff.
Dude everyone loves skyheart except for the healer. She's super popular, almost everyone is green with her on multiple bars. She loves her mentor, Kestrelmask and Jayswipe is her bestie (that she also has a crush on) but is otherwise neutral towards everyone.
Roseflare and Dappledfeather have mutual crushes on each other. They're our two newest warriors and trained a lot together.
Otherwise, no huge dislikes or romantic likes for anyone.

Fluffraven is made deputy after Birdnettle retires. They are also grief stricken as their apprentice, Gullmask died.
Gullmask was also Bab's litter's father :( her baby Daisykit died, but she had two healthy boys: Furledkit and Swarmkit. Neither are as pretty as Bab tho; one is half dark grey mackerel with the back half white spotting, the other is pale grey tabby.
A patrol finds a rival apprentice begging to join our Clan. Frogecho is the one to vouch for Havenpaw, a lilac agouti tom.
Okay, we have no healer now. Hopefully we get some event to gift us one soon. Very early on, we had the loner healer event but they didn't join; there's still hope they'll find their way to us.

Apprentice flood! Quietpaw disappears for a few days, then comes back and claims they want to be a healer. Good luck my little man.

Jayswipe ate prey during a patrol for the SECOND time and was caught. Girl you know better, you're like a middle-aged warrior now (she was named a warrior during the second moon!)

OH DAMN Flightflow and Kestrelmask were killed by rogues in a moon event. We had a healer for a grand total of one moon, and Kestrel had JUST asked Fluffraven out wowzers. Bad luck. Half the Clan is grieving now, Kestrel was pretty popular.
Half the apprentices are injured: Leafpaw still with whitecough, acorn with a tail injury from a fallen branch, and now Ravenpaw who got bit solo-fighting a dog.
Quietpaw went out solo looking for a specific herb Flightflow showed her last moon... but it had died :( boy you're trying so hard <3
Acornpaw and Leafpaw healed, Ravenpaw's bite infected tho. Toph, a loner we took in a year or so ago, dislocated his leg. Rip.

Foxstar loses a life during a flood. Bab's kits are made apprentices this moon. There are currently more healthy apprentices than warriors. Acornpaw got holly for an accessory and it's super cute!!
Our first warrior is made from the group: Flitfleck.
Jayswipe is going on moon 5 of grief stricken. They have constant nightmares now :(

We found an injured loner named shell. She had a nasty cat bite wound and Quietpaw is doing his best to try and heal her.
Leafroot fights a dog solo and gets a broken bone. You'd think she'd know better with Ravenpaw still suffering from the same feat.

Another mass extinction: A fire rages through camp, killing Ratwood, Skyheart and Birdnettle. Game really is transphobic today :/ /j

Fluffraven joined the lot with greencough. This is getting spooky. With all the deaths the last few moons, we're down to 15 cats. For a moment there we had 21. 
Ayo but a border patrol found an apprentice! Silverpaw, once a kittypet, joins the Clan!
Branchpaw also joins the Clan! She was once ShrubClan. Roseflare also came from there, they must not treat their kits very well :/ Between them and NectarClan letting kits escape to the border, only SloeClan really has been friendly.
My girl Bibby confessed her feeling to Acornlake but got rejected. It might still happen later tho, Acorn has 20% romantic with her.

Silverpaw got yellowcough tho and Branchpaw's paws a cracked from the cold. Only Fluffraven still has greencough. AND she's healed! Welcome to spring!

Foxstar is... pretty distant with everyone. Pretty much everyone he takes the time to love dies :/ poor man. He really likes Acornlake tho, and trusts his deputy a lot.
Everyone is pretty neutral towards each other... time to start sending smaller patrols to get some friendships blooming.

Silverpaw is named Silvergrowl! Her yellowcough is gone.
Leafroot's tail is injured by a falling branch.... again. She also was seen sharing prey with a rogue.... for the third time now. Girl get it together.

Okay so Silvergrowl went back to the ShrubClan border, waiting for a certain cat. She was out so long she got heat exhaustion. Havenpelt also got heat exhaustion, as did Foxstar. Hot year.
Swarmshade's tail healed... and then he immediately felt into the river and now has water in his lungs. smh.
Dappledfeather was taken away by twolegs. Rip.

Almost all cats are fully healed! Leafroot's tail is mended and only Havenpelt (and now Ravennettle) have heat exhaustion, which should pass next moon. Might we have an empty healer's den for the first time since moon 10?

We find an elder: Bean, who is 242 moons old! I've never seen a cat older than 160 before this playthrough, and now it's happened twice. Crazy! She's so pretty too, silver sokoke.
Furledfuzz and Silvergrowl are now mates <3 Young love. Hopefully we can naturally get a mediator soon, start mediating some relationships to bloom.

Fiercepaw and Firpaw are made apprentices! Fiercepaw, despite his name, doesn't like the idea of fighting and chooses instead to become a healer. Good for him <3 He's also a bit clumsy, getting bruises from tripping and a small cut from thorns on his first patrol.
We take in Gato, a sick kittypet. It'll be a good opportunity for Fiercepaw to learn how to treat coughs.

Fuzzypaw is named Fuzzyroach? I think she wins for worst name ;-; She immediately insults a Clanmate's appearance which, tbh, fair girl. Bouncetooth and Wingprickle (which are also weak af, Foxstar you're really slacking here) are also named, but Dazzlepaw doesn't quite have enough experience. She's also interested in the dark forest now sooo...
Looking at traits, Stormslash is a great mediator. Maybe she'll be the first to choose that path? We also have a lot of cats that are good at camp tasks and den building which is neat.
Dazzleroot gets her name, finally.
Silvergrowl has a single kit and Furledfuzz is very protective of him. Chervilkit is born.
also Toph's kits are specifically half-Clan: their mother was from another Clan, not a loner. I also didn't mention their names!! Toph's kits are Flowerkit, Coatikit and Doekit.
Driftstep still has a broken back after 5 moons. Hopefully she pulls through. She announces she's expecting kits though? Hopefully not Quietshade's.....

Burdockshade retires early. It's hard on him to relearn how to hunt with only three legs, and Foxstar makes sure the tom knows that no cat thinks less of them for retiring early and keeping Fluffraven company in the elder's den.
Quietshade and Wingprickle get yellowcough. It's that time of year.

Relationship check! Most everything is the same, but Murk does NOT like Furledfuzz. It's almost 50% dislike. Hopefully no murders here.... Actually Murk doesn't really like anyone. Almost every cat he has a relationship with has some dislike pips.
Toph admires and relies on Leafroot, but only ~15% romantic. She's like his best friend. 
Leafroot ironically has more romantic like for Dappledfeather. Why does she keep chasing after Toph then if he's rejected her three times this last year???
Fluffraven hates Quietshade for some reason. She also really dislikes Acornlake and Branchpelt (30% each?)
Everyone else is fairly neutral.
ShrubClan let their kits near the border again. At least this time they were grateful Foxstar found them before a real fox did.

OH WAIT we were at war with NectarClan. No peace yet just forgot that was a thing.
There's been a yellowcough outbreak: Leafroot, Burdockshade, Havenpelt, Silvergrowl and Doekit catch the cough. Dazzleroot gets whitecough. At least spring is right around the corner, hang in there guys.

We find a kittypet, Edward, sick in the woods. It's not like the Clan can get any more sick, so we add him to the group of cats in the healer's den. We have plenty of herbs for every cat.

Fiercepaw keeps having visions. With Quietshade ill, Crouchshock has taken over his training and she's overworked with the many cats sick. She's jealous he keeps having visions and refuses to train him :(

Driftstep's broken back also heals! She has a scar and limited mobility, though, and joins the elders early.

Almost everyone has recovered from their minor illnesses and heat exhaustion. Except Flowerpaw, who got heat stroke.
Driftstep was found dead by a dog :( Her broken back also didn't paralyze her, but she did have constant pain from it.
HUGE herb gathering patrols. Got a lot of catmint, which will be good because winter is around the corner.
Murk died from the fox event. I kinda wish he'd lived at least until the Clan uncovered he murdered Furledfuzz :/
Aw and Coatipaw died from her broken back :(
Both her sisters are made warriors: Doetwig and Flowerflash. As well as Chervilmist at only 11 moons.
We're overflowing with herbs; they're going bad almost every moon because we haven't used them all. Also the healer's den is empty! Everyone is cured of heat stroke. Firleaf has a sprained paw from a trap and Silvergrowl is still mourning Furledfuzz's murder.

My hard work paid off! Stormslash and Branchpelt are a couple now; Stormslash also decided they were nonbinary! I reckon Branchpelt helped them through their feelings.

Leafroot is finally healed. I'm glad she's okay, we've had too many mates dying right after confessing.
Dazzleroot broke a bone fighting a dog. At least she didn't die (yet?) Bab's kids really having bad luck with dogs.

Also I just realized that Toph and Leafroot both have scars on their front feet on opposite side. Toph's left from a trap and Leafroot's right from frostbite. I wish the game logged where scars came from (at least, I can't find it in the UI). I also didn't remember that Leafroot was Toph's apprentice before they became mates; they didn't do so until 60+ moons so at that point it's whatever, but still.

YIKES Copsehaven, Frostfeather, Lightspeckle and Bloomtooth go on patrol. Lightspeckle sees a swell of water rushing towards the cats, but hesitates calling out! Only Frostfeather manages to claw his way out of the water, the other three taken far, far downstream. Not dead, not yet, but lost.


We found him collapsed by the thunderpath. Turns out he only had yellowcough and was weak with fever; the patrol had thought he'd been hit by a monster. He'll have to pick a warrior name if he wants to stay after he's healed.

Snapburn has a lot of romance for Shiningcrest. She's also now bloodthirsty; this would be a great challenge run cult run thing. Shiningcrest has even more reomance for Snapburn and is ALSO bloodthirsty OMG. I... don't know how this relationship will go, but I'm down to encourage it and see!
Chervilcry is very popular with the older warriors of the Clan. He's usually the top friend outside of lovers/family members for all of them.
Dropletfuzz likes Burrknoll... but Burrknoll has a crush on his son Wolverinecrag. Oof
I think I'm going to try and encourage Swampshadow x Rushbadger. They're both a little distant, hard to get to know. I think they'd both benefit from having a close friend.
maplerain has a huge crush on Burrknoll, unreciprocated.
Onto the young 12: Longfalcon likes Coldlion (reciprocated; Rom patrol!); Burrowmoon likes Butterflyheart(unreciprocated; she likes Larkhail); Peakbite likes Crouchfleck(hella reciprocated); Rockblaze likes Sorrelpaw (unreciprocated; or at least the game isn't showing it yet. They're the same age but Sorrelpaw still is struggling with redcough.)
No hatreds, which is good! No really huge friendships either, mostly just family members and a few friends each.

They are the only chocolate tabbies in the Clan and they look the exact same. Carpcatcher is also sokoke but he's cinnamon, and Burrwhisker is chocolate marbled smoke. The older half of the Clan is still overwhelmingly greys, but the younger cats are mostly browns/gingers

Reedstar does NOT like Rainbowshriek; I think he thinks he's making a mess of things. He loves his kids, of course, especially young Honeypaw and Sunshatter. He feels secure when Burrwhisker is around and uses the younger tom to take secure messages to other cats, trusting him implicitly. He also trusts and respects Wolverinecrag a lot, though he doesn't much like the other tom.
Wolverinecrag, deputy, still hates Reedstar... but also has a lot of romance for him.... weird, but okay. He is besties with Cypressnip, really likes chilling with Paletiger, and relies heavily on Sunshatter whenever patrols need an extra paw. He also thinks Rockbloom is really cool. He's a bunch more popular than Reedstar to most of the Clan.
Cypressnip has a lot of mixed feelings about a lot of cats. They don't have any close family, really, but they respect Wolverinecrag. More than Reedstar, at least. They have a LOT of mixed feelings for Chervilcry, a weird rivalry/friendship. Carpcatcher, their cousin, is pretty cool though and teaches them all the new hip slang.
Lightningpaw really dislikes her mentor. She thinks he should give her more praise when she's doing well, all she hears are corrections and critique!
Rainbowshriek is starting to resent Reedstar too. He def thinks Wolverinecrag would make a better leader...and he's in a position that he might be able to do something about it...

The senior warriors:
Paletiger is a people-pleaser, he loves everyone. He has a small crush on Wolverinecrag, always has, but will never act on it. He respects the deputy too much to entangle his feelings into the deputy's already tough job. Paletiger will always go to Wolverinecrag first, and only Reedstar when he absolutely must. He likes Smokemask, Shellpelt, Apricotsprout and Rockbloom. He respects Patchcreek's loyalty to the Clan, but dislikes his aggression. He really likes the new warrior, Alpinekite, and was the one that did the young tom's assessment.
Of course, Weeddusk loves his hubby, Wolverinecrag and their only surviving daughter, Waspnose. He also has a lot of romantic feelings for Chervilcry, but understands the other senior warrior only ever had eyes for Burrowmoon. He respects Reedstar, but doesn't like the way their leader dismisses Wolverinecrag or Rainbowshriek sometimes. He trust Rockbloom, Shellpelt, and Apricotsprout the most.
Chervilcry thinks Cypressnip is the best healer the Clan could ask for. He feels safe around him in a way that he'd only ever felt around Burrowmoon, and knows the healer did his best--and always will do his best. He loves his kids, all of them, though Gorgestripe in particular makes him proud. He's glad Weeddusk is a good mate to his brother.

As for the warriors....
Rockbloom has a lot of romantic feelings for Apricotsnout.
Sunshatter is... other than the three senior warriors 100+ moons, the oldest warrior in the Clan at 52. That's insane, he's a tiny child!!!! He likes Shellpelt a little, and Rainstripe is pretty. He looks up to Wolverinecrag and admires the deputy.
Rowanstripe is lonely; she doesn't get along with many cats. Rainbowshriek, sometimes, he listens, and Smokemask is a close friend since they were apprentices.
Apricotsnout loves Burrwhisker. He also loves Scalekit, for some reason Paletiger's kit has grown on him more than he'd care to admit. He's kind of a flirt, but doesn't do it intentionally? He doesn't understand why all the cats are flirting back.
Shellpelt likes Sunshatter; he's the one that's been initiating the flirting. He also hates Scalekit already. And has a small crush on Reedstar. Just a little.
Smokemask has a crush on Shellpelt and is BESTIES with Rainbowshriek, her cousin. She finds Weeddusk hilarious and loves being on patrols with him.
Patchcreek likes Apricotsnout, and is one of Reedstar's staunch supporters. He doesn't dislike Wolverinecrag, he just really respects the pressure Reedstar is under as leader.
Burrwhisker also supports Reedstar, but maybe only because his sister Rainstripe does, who he's always looked up to. He knows she can be... intense, and that scares him sometimes, but she's his sister; he should support her. He has a small crush on Apricotsnout.
Rainstripe will follow Reedstar through anything. She has a crush on Sunshatter. She only cares about a few cats in the Clan, but cares about them a LOT.
Carpcatcher is surrounded by family, and he loves it. He'd do anything for his aunt, uncle, or any of his cousins.
Streamclaw has a crush on Patchcreek. She considers herself besties with Rowanstripe, though the older molly doesn't see them as very close.
Waspnose loves her dads, of course. She feels super comfortable around Smokemask. She dislikes Honeypaw, for some reason.
Gorgestripe loves his uncle Wolverinecrag, respects his opinions a lot.

Bro I am so scared every time a river patrol comes up... even if it's a fishing hunting patrol!!! it's so scary!! I probably have lost/killed 20 cats already and injured another 20..... I have to proceed though, that's the whole point.

Honeyglint finally moves on from Boulderstripe's death. Maybe he'll get to mentor Boulderkit, who wasn't named after Boulderstripe (Silt named him) but it is a happy coincidence the kit would have been given the name shortly after Boulderstripe's death, five moons previous.

Oooo Louddapple really likes Antlerchest... hopefully they don't become mates... He also HATES Berrystar, good for him.
The only bad thing about BerryDahlia adopting all these kits is that they are all fairly friendly with each other and are all considered siblings.


Am I going to go the very sexist route and say that male healers can have mates and kits because they're not the ones caring for them? I could totally see Berrystar being okay with that, esp because it's with his favorite daughter.... I'll let this slide. if only because I don't see the Clan living very long without a healer and our only female cat

Rippleskitter brings back five kits. He is exiled, but the kits are outsiders and can stay.
Fieldtail recovers from her frostbite, but has partial hearing loss as it was in her ears.
Fieldtail is exiled for touching noses with a kittypet.
Talonburrow announces she's expecting kits. Hopefully they're Berrystar's...
