Hawk ;; the Harbor
Slowly rising to his paws, stretching the cramps of sitting so long out of him, Hawk began to pad back to his small nest in Anchor's Alley. He let out a wide yawn and tipped up his head wearily to see that the dark night sky was fading from black to light blue, signaling that dawn wasn't far away. He quickened his steps, eager to be home and get some sleep.
Larkspur ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur blinked open her blue eyes to faint light flooding through the tree leaves. She assumed she'd slept through the night, so she climbed out of her nest. At first, it seemed like a normal early morning; until she remembered the Journey in a flash. Lifting a paw, she considered going to Storm's Shallows to see how things were going, but her rumbling belly stopped her. She decided to find some food first.
Annie ;; the City
Annie was lying sleeplessly in her makeshift nest: a cardboard box, thinking about Storm and Chester and all the cats she'd left behind. Fluffing her strawberry blonde fur against the morning chill, she stifled a whimper of loneliness. I miss Dad.. I miss him so much, she thought to herself, ignoring the hunger lingering in her little stomach. She didn't feel like hunting. She didn't feel like doing anything really.

Dawn was coming, but it wasn't of much interest to either Giovanni nor Rabbit. Rabbit's left flank had thee long crisscrossed scratches from trying to get Giovanni to go find food or something, and he was almost silent now from it. Giovanni had a satisfied smirk on his face, ignoring the fact that both he and Rabbit were especially scrawny this week. He knew the prey was dwindling, but he had a giant set on his decision to stay- just how many she-cats would be in a dumb-looking forest? Rabbit, however, looked back behind him at the city, glancing at the smoke-filled sky, the oily streets, the gaunt skyscrapers towering over him like a mountain lion ready to attack, the rough, lopsided sculptures that were seemingly in every nook and cranny... Smog filled his lungs, and he struggled to breathe. His paws were aching from walking around so much. The scratches on his pelt stung, and the Thunderpath pebbles that had been stuck inside didn't help any matters. "Signore, please. Can we at least go to the park or something?" Ah, yes, the park. Its statues were grimacing, exaggerated blocks of marble that seemed like they were straight out of a nightmare, and they looked as if they could topple and crush Giovanni and Rabbit at any moment, but at least the air was somewhat more clear and the soft dewy grass was easier on his feet. "The park? Eh, sure. Why not. But we won't stay for long. We must keep moving. You know how I get if I don't have a lady to adore, don't you, Rabbit?" Rabbit sighed. Of all the wonderful lives in the world and wonderful things to do and wonderful things to be, why did he have to live this one? "I know, my dear Signore, I know."
Chester's eyes fluttered open only an hour or so after he fell asleep. Ah, well. Sleep wasn't that important to him anyway, he had things to do. Other cats may question his age- but he could easily figure out some cat to appoint leader- one rather vulnerable, one that relied on him like a feline puppet. Ah, yes, that would be good. But where on earth would he find one? "You won't find one here, Chester," he told himself, getting up slowly. "Would Annie want you to lounge around all day and do nothing? No. Get up." Where would he find one? Perhaps that park would do. He walked over to the Park, confident and calm. He would find someone here.

(It would be interesting to see Giovanni meet Larkspur. CX<)
Larkspur ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur crouched down beside the bush where she'd scented prey. Creeping up on the small animal inside, she made sure she was downwind before she pounced, landing squarely on her prey. Ending it with a quick killing bite, she realized that it was a scrawny mouse that would be barely enough to hold her off until later. Shrugging, she bent down to take a bite, then hesitated. All those rumors of there about how Storm died from eating a poisoned mouse made her wary. She gave the mouse a quick sniff. "Doesn't smell poisoned," she muttered. Deciding it was safe, she took a small bite. "Doesn't taste poisoned," she added, her mouth full. She swallowed. See? Not so bad.
Hawk ;; Anchor's Alley
Plopping down wearily into his nest, Hawk sighed. He curled his tail around his muzzle, his breathing beginning to slow. He let his sea-green eyes droop shut, drifting off to a light slumber.
Annie ;; the City
Forcing herself to get out of her box, Annie shook out her fur, looking to each side to see if anyone was there. Seeing no one, she creeped out of the small alley on alert. She would have to grab something to eat, but after that, she wasn't sure what she'd do.

Giovanni opened his mouth slightly to taste the air, a somewhat excited look on his face- one that Rabbit knew all too well. "Rabbit, guess what's close to us?" "Other cats." Giovanni paused, snickering a bit at Rabbit's deadpan response like it was a joke from an old friend. "And do you know what that means, my dear little servant?" "There's a chance there are she-cats nearby. I can tell it's from the Park, in that direction." Rabbit flicked his stumpy tail in the direction of other cats. "Well done, Rabbit! Why don't we go? There must be a she-cat out there looking for love..." Rabbit's face seemed to brighten up, his deer-like tail wagging in anticipation. "And with luck, there must be some there for me, too." They strolled into the park casually, the dewy green grass washing away some of the oil on their paws. The sun was just about to come out now, and even though it was still chilly, it seemed like it was beginning to warm up as the sky turned a shade of purplish indigo.
Chester, on the other hand, saw the two cats walk into the park from a distance, his face turning into a twisted frown. He had always had grudges against both of these cats- one was a manipulative dirtbag and the other was an ugly coward. He followed them silently, hoping to foil whatever plan they had.

(Btw, I just checked the main page and there were a couple cats who's ages didn't change.. like Larkspur..)
Larkspur ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur was just finishing up her mouse when she licked the smell of fresh-kill off of her muzzle and whiskers. It wasn't until then tht she could smell other cats nearby, and she froze, unsure of what to do. Should I go back to the tree..? she wondered, Or just meet them..? Larkspur decided to just stay put and see who came. Although, that wasn't a very sensible choice, she wasn't gonna lie. It could be some big dangerous rogue with no heart for young loners such as herself. She shrugged. But when the smell came closer, Larkspur realized that it was actually a bit familiar...

(Fixed that)
Giovanni continued following the scent, his servant close by. The sun peeked out from the horizon, revealing dozens of puffy white clouds dappled across the pale indigo sky. Chester continued following him silently, hiding when Giovanni looked behind over his shoulder. Giovanni saw a cat far off behind a bush. He tasted the air again- it was indeed a female. He moved a bit faster, and it was almost hard for Rabbit to keep up.

Larkspur ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur quickly buried the bones of her fresh-kill in a clump of grass and waited, sitting confidently in case whoever was coming decided to pick a fight. She wasn't weak. She could protect herself. Maybe.. she worried, self consciously fluffing out her pelt to hide her skinny frame. As the scent became clearer, Larkspur scented at least two toms, and maybe a third. She considered running for it, since she'd be badly outnumbered if there was a fight.

Giovanni figured out that the female would be rather scared if there was a fight breaking out. He pulled Rabbit aside. "Alright, Rabbit, here's the deal: You go out and show her we're harmless, then I'll come in and take everything else from there. Sound good?" He kicked Rabbit out in front of him, and Rabbit let out a slow, annoyed growl. "Don't growl at me, my dear servant. Smile!" He used his paws to pull Rabbit's face into a smile before kicking him off again. Rabbit clawed at the ground, hoping his master would be crushed by a falling statue by the time Rabbit finished his part of the deal. Chester couldn't help but smirk at the servant's misfortune. That dirty coward deserved what he got- or at least he deserved it to Chester.
(I'm pretty sure this plan will not go well at all)

Larkspur and Rabbit ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur watched, tense, as the bush in front of her rustled, and a scrawny tom-cat stumbled out. He looked completely harmless, not that he could hurt her anyway. Not what she had been expecting at the least. Tilting her head in confusion, she mewed a passive greeting, "Hello..?" But there was something about him that the recognized like she'd seem him before, but she didn't know where.

Rabbit plucked a few leaves and twigs out of his fur. His long scratches on his flank were beginning to dry- he hoped Giovanni wouldn't painfully pick off the scabs again like the last time. "...Hi," he said slightly out of breath. He was a small, short cat- but his voice was surprisingly extremely deep despite his exterior and timid personality. He looked back at where Giovanni was before- he was gone, probably hiding behind a tree or picking fights with other cats.

Larkspur and Rabbit ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur fiddled for something to say. She didn't understand why a cat like him would be here.. alone.. and confronting her. "Who are you?" she asked, trying her best to keep suspicion out of her mew. She shifted uncomfortably on her haunches. Something was off here, and she didn't like it.

Rabbit looked at her nervously, hoping she wouldn't beat the tar out of him (as was usually the case). He flexed his paws in the green dewy grass, unsure of what to say. "Rabbit, from the Inner City. I have come here for food and for clear air," he said, choosing to not mention Giovanni at all. He hoped his rather scrawny look didn't give away the fact that he was only a mere servant."The prey shortage is severe where I live," he said quietly. However, he really never got much prey at all, shortage or not.

Larkspur and Rabbit ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur pushed away the thought that she'd heard of someone named Rabbit before. There were probably more than just one cat with that generic name in the area.. right? "Hmn," she nodded her head slowly. "Well, one could say that the prey is somewhat better here than in the City, although not by much." Aware of how thin Rabbit looked, Larkspur couldn't help but give in to sympathy. "You're welcome to look for some food. My place is just over by that tree," she flicked her tail in its direction, "although I doubt I'm the only one living in this park. I'm not sure if the others like strangers on their turfs.."

Rabbit nodded slowly. "Thank you," he said. He sounded much more sincere now, and he was: this cat really was kind. He almost felt a pang of sympathy for her... Although he hoped Giovanni would realize this cat was far too young for a serious romantic relationship. He was stopped on his way by a reddish-brown tabby she-cat with glistening orange eyes. He shrieked a bit at her sudden appearance before backing away a bit. "You're that scraggly ugly chew toy of Giovanni, aren't you?" said Susanna accusingly at the smaller tom, a dry tone to her voice. She didn't seem very surprised by his affirmative answer. "You might wanna go find him, he's picking a fight with that Chester cat again." Rabbit sighed, slightly afraid but also not very surprised by it. "Oh, joy, here we go again..." he said in an annoyed tone of voice, quickly leaping off . Susanna watched him run off after his master. "Idiots, both of them. One's a total doormat and the other is a manipulative fleabag!" She knew Larkspur was there, but she chose not to try to start a conversation with her.

Larkspur ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur nearly jumped back in surprise as a red she-cat emerged through the bushes. She sat, stunned as she spoke, and when she finished and Rabbit dashed off she flattened her ears feeling angry at the tom for not telling her who he really was. So he was that Rabbit, she thought scornfully. She hissed in annoyance. And to think I was going to let him take prey from my territory, and probably hand it over to that Giovanni guy! She flicked her tail. "Figures," she muttered, not bothering to look up at the she-cat in front of her.

It wasn't long before Rabbit and Giovanni returned, the latter dragging the former along by the scruff of his neck. Giovanni shook Rabbit wildly before pinning him down and outstretching a single silvery-white claw. "He's the evildoer who attacked that Chester cat! I'll punish him for you." Rabbit was still dazed, small droplets of blood oozing out from his neck. "What are you doing?" he mewed nervously, his yellow eyes wide in terror and his entire body shaking in fear. "I'll kill him for this crime!" Susanna laughed, tilting her head over to Larkspur. "I loathe violence, but to be honest, I wouldn't mind it if Rabbit went this way," she said. It was in a rather annoyed and bitter tone, but she carried a hint of amusement in her voice and a smirk on her face. "What are you doing, Signore?" he said, this time even more aware of the situation and trying to wriggle himself free. Susanna couldn't help but snicker a little bit at the servant's misfortune. "Signore, let me free! I won't try to beg for food or anything among those lines again!" Giovanni didn't listen, and for a brief point he looked like a carnivorous wolf ready to gulp down its prey. "I'll punish him for you. I know what he did, and this shall be the end of his petty little life."Rabbit managed to squirm out of his grasp, only for Giovanni to pin him down again and hold his claw at Rabbit's neck. He seemed to almost hesitate for a second, before he returned to his previous feral state of mind. But then he held still, the claw at Rabbit's throat but not in it, almost as if he were waiting to see what Larkspur and Susanna would do in response- he couldn't go off and kill with no reaction, could he? Giovanni couldn't exist by himself- he needed to have fans and romance or else he would go truly mad.

Larkspur ;; Maplewood Park
Larkspur tilted her head in confusion as Giovanni pinned down Rabbit. "Last time I checked, he was over here while you were off fighting this Chester," she muttered, not at anyone in particular. Where is Chester now anyway? she wondered. Her gaze flicked back to the scene in front of her. She was pretty sure Giovanni wouldn't kill Rabbit; if he did, he wouldn't have anyone to get him fresh-kill or do his dirty work anymore. She narrowed her eyes, wondering if this was some sort of a "scene" to make the she-cats trust him. Although, she did have to admit that she hadn't seen Giovanni do anything, she'd only heard rumors about him. As far as she knew, he could be telling the truth.

"Technically, he was over here. But that madwoman Susanna told him that Chester was nearby and he went off to fight for him. I was off doing nothing!" Susanna's face crinkled in fury as he mentioned her. "Are you going to get me involved in this?" "Yes, because you were, he said almost accusingly, Rabbit slinked out of his grasp and tried to run off, only for Giovanni to grab him and let his claws sink into Rabbit's skin. Rabbit grimaced and squealed in pain, but Giovanni almost didn't seem to notice. Susanna realized what was going on and decided to leave. "I'll let your lies unravel yourself, Giovanni. We all know what happened." Giovanni watched her walk off, her chin up in the air. "Pompous idiot," he snarled under his breath. Rabbit tried to speak again. "To be honest...he either has a heart of stone or none at all-" He was swiftly knocked out by a slap to the back of his head by Giovanni. "That should shut him up for a while- at least until he regains consciousness," he said quietly. It was all over with now, and now that Rabbit was out of the way, he could easily talk to Larkspur.

Larkspur and Giovanni ;; Maplewood Park
"Right.." Larkspur meowed, watching Susanna walk away away from the corner of her eye. She still wasn't exactly sure of what had happened, so she remained wary. "What brings you here anyway?" she asked, looking the tom over. She was aware of the scars clinging to his pelt, which made her realize that violence was probably a fairly regular thing for him, which she didn't find appealing.

"What brings us here? I was trying to get Rabbit to get food for me- I've gone three days without food and he's gone seven. Being the greedy pig he is, he tried to get food for himself instead!" answered Giovanni, obviously disgusted with his servant as he batted him as if he were some kind of toy. "The food drought is absolutely terrible, to be honest." He glanced behind him, where he could see the much smaller Chester getting up and licking his wounds. He held back the urge to laugh at the young tom's misfortunes and turned back to Larkspur. His mind was racing with thoughts: While I do say I love the naive young beginners, she seems too young...Maybe I can get her to lead me to something a bit better. A kit never did any romantic any good. Maybe I could get Rabbit to dress up as me while I go off in search so nothing seems suspicious? But then again, this she-cat might know someone else...Maybe I'll see if Rabbit can help me. He'd know how to straighten out a plan. But he kept all of this hidden behind his gentlemanly, polite, but slightly rambunctious exterior. He remembered the old saying his father had once told him when he was a young kit- when there's a will, there's a way.

Larkspur and Giovanni ;; Maplewood Park
"Seven?!" Larkspur gasped, surprised, and she looked down at Rabbit to see that he was much thinner than Giovanni. She found herself wishing that Susanna had come later on so that Rabbit could at least get some prey. Three days were believable, but a whole week? "If you ask me, Rabbit should get prey first, he's in much worse shape than you," she mewed.
