Rabbit was silent for a long time, looking around as he thought. If Giovanni figured out what he was off to, he would be killed instantly- but perhaps the fleeting minutes of freedom would be somewhat worth it. He thought about everyone he had encountered- his demanding father, his meek mother, his sisters all much larger and stronger than he was, the younger, nicer Giovanni, the many cats he and his master had encountered on their misadventures, the older, crooked Giovanni who seemed to be fully aware of what he was doing now... Rabbit almost didn't know what he was doing now, or what he was thinking, but the words easily trickled off of his tongue- "I accept."

Red was shocked that Rabbit had actually accepted. For a moment she had a worried thought, what if she had just condemned Rabbit to his death? Of course she talked big, that was part of her strength, but if the time came would the two of them really be able to defend themselves from Giovanni? Her face scrunched up for a moment, as she was deep in thought. Her concentration was broken and she looked Rabbit directly in the eyes. "Good." It was a simple response, though there were so many more things she could have said to him. And for the first time in awhile, Red gave a genuine smile.

Rabbit seemed to almost begin to reconsider, but he gave up, making eye contact with Red."Thank you," he whispered other as if his previous declaration had ran him out of breath. He still seemed sardonic and cynical as always- but it wasn't as evident as it had been moments earlier. He couldn't think of much else to say- but he did know that the hard part was to escape Giovanni for at least a while- that cat knew every trap and trick that could be used.

Red stared at him for a moment before flicking her tail, beckoning him forward. "Come, its time you explore your new home, Cutthroat Corner." Red assumed he had been there before, though it would be entertaining to see how he reacted to the atmosphere. To givee him a bit more of a fright Red added "I would stay next to my side, many cats will try to rip you to pieces, due to your connection with Giovanni." The ginger she-cat hissed the last word as if it pained her.

Rabbit jumped in fright at the mention of Cutthroat Corner, but attempted to compose himself. He clawed holes in the outfit he had on, took it off, and smeared it with his blood, knocking over a few nearby objects to complete the illusion that he had died. "I may not be a trickster like my master, but I know a thing or two about the trade," he meowed. He looked extremely nervous- almost as if he were suffering a panic attack- as he imagined what could happen- his limbs being torn off, sliced open into shreds of meat, his head rolling across the floor, claws impaling him right through, being stabbed in the ribs and bleeding to death, a silent cat from behind him snapping his neck with one swift bite... He almost wanted to turn back- and he almost did- but he decided not to, even though he was visibly shaking.

Tiger ⎮ 12 moons⎮ F Description ;; Tiger is an American Bobtail cat, another one of the larger domestic cat breeds. She has the standard look, powerful haunches and legs, wide heads, a fluffy ruff of fur around her neck, and a fluffy pompom of a tail. Her markings are not too extraordinary, her being dusty tan, on her ruff, underbelly, under her tail, and other common cat 'points.' She had dark tabby markings, similar to those of a tiger, a thick black stripe down her back and tail with grey in the dead center of her stripe, with striped legs and tabby markings branching off or near her black stripe. Her feet are white, as is the splash on her muzzle and chest. Her eyes are a pale amber color. Personality ;; Tiger is very blunt, almost cold, in the fact that it can take her a while to warm up to some cats. She is very reluctant to share what she has, believing that survival depends on her ability to provide for herself, and not rely on others. She is wary of living in groups, because in reality she fears making close bonds. Faction ;; Rogue, Terrorizes the docks. Companions ;; She may not be interested in being in a Glaring before the journey, but will want to join the Glaring when the journey starts.
Quill ⎮ 6 moons⎮ F Description ;; Quill is a munchkin breed, meaning she pretty much looks like a cat version of a dachshund. Her torso is round and barrel-like, and long. Her legs are short and stout, but she can run surprisingly fast. Her tail has been docked, leaving her with a bare rump. She is a typical brown tabby color, with an all white chest, legs stockings, and underbelly. Her widely set eyes dusty brown eyes. Personality ;; Quill seeks acceptance from other cats, but is wary as she can hunt, but cannot fight very well. She tends to befriend the cats she meets, disguising her nervousness as thoughtfulness or cheerfulness. Faction ;; Loner, Roams the Park Companions ;; Looking for a Glaring to Join

Red watched, pleased that he shuddered in mention of her home. She was glad he was still the meek cat she had first met. Giving him freedom hadn't changed him whatsoever. As Rabbit made it look as if he had been killed she nodded her head approvingly. "Good thinking." She meowed roughly, not willing to give a better compliment. Flicking her tail impatiently the ginger-shecat noticed for the first time how frightened Rabbit looked. Is it my fault? She wondered. Hopefully Rabbit wouldn't be too shaken up, though that was unlikely.

(@battle Scars: will add your characters once I get home)
Rabbit almost smiled at Red complimenting him- only for the traces of the smile to fade once he remembered Cutthroat Corner. That was the place where his father had sent his mother and sisters off to once he realized they were of little purpose to him- the place of no return. He hated the thought of it- it was also where Giovanni could kill and get away with it instantly and easily. He wasn't going to get to like it any time soon, as far as he could tell- but he bit his tongue and said nothing.

Red loped ahead, not wanting to make small talk. Rabbit's unease was obvious, but Red wasn't going to move just because he felt nervous about Cutthroat Corner. Her tail twitched impatiently, as the trip was taking a bit longer than anticipated. "Do you know how to hunt or fight? Any bit of knowledge at all?" She questioned.

"I know how to hunt, I'm just not the best at it," said Rabbit quietly. "And I know some of the more basic fighting moves- I flee out of cowardice most of the time, so I just don't practice them and get worse from them." He paused before continuing, mumbling under his breath so Red wouldn't hear. "Giovanni was always good at battle, so fearless you would have thought he didn't know what fear was. I wish I was more like him in that regard."

"So your not completely useless after all." She mused. This was as close she would get to "friendly banter" though her humor was mostly dry and dark, not entertaining in the least. "Starting tomorrow, we shall drill some basic fighting movements. If you haven't practiced your probably awful." It was a blunt statement, though it was probably the truth. "For now, I'll take care of hunting, though eventually you will learn. Most days we can scavenge for food, so hunting isn't too important."

Rabbit nodded, not making much eye contact with Red. He had something else on his mind- the tall, dark figure of his father yelling at his mother that she was useless was the only thing he could see. His mother and his sisters wandered off into the alleyways of Cutthroat Corner, never to return again. Rabbit shuddered- what happened to them, and more importantly, what would happen? The first question was answered quickly when he caught a familiar-looking corpse. It, too, was short and scraggly, with a stumpy tail- it was one of his sisters. He was about to run to the corpse's side when he realized he couldn't do such a thing in front of Red. As he walked by it, his gaze focused on it, and he seemed to not even blink in shock and fear. Red wouldn't be the one to advocate weakness, so he pretended it was nothing. If he pretended to be something, then he was something- it wasn't much of a difference to other cats, and he wanted to impress Red anyway.

As they walked onward Red turned her head. Her lip curled in disgust as she saw the corpse. "If that cat couldn't survive, it must have been useless." The ginger she-cat growled. One less enemy to kill For a moment she thought of Giovanni, and how she had fallen for him and his tricks. "If we meet Giovanni out here, will you be able to face him?" It was a sudden question, but one needed to be answered. In battle she couldn't have Rabbit suddenly turn on her. She doubted he had it in him, but it was something that needed to be asked.

"If she and I came from the same parents, I must be useless as well," meowed Rabbit quietly to nobody but himself. He shook his head. "I'd want to- to be honest, I've always wanted to fight back and then be more successful than he ever could be. I would fight him easily if it we learnt for my lack of bravery and lack of knowing how to battle." It wasn't his will to be a servant- he was bound to his master by reputation and manipulation, but if he wasn't he'd definitely leave. He hated servant life- it was he bane of his existence and all of his existence.
