Your tail swishes around to the loud bush, a faint ruffling noise it heard as you approach it, you can feel your hairs starting to brisle. You brush it off and continue on your way, still you feel a gaze on your pelt, swiftly turning again you see a small ginger kit and a large chocolate tabby. "W-who are you?" You ask, cursing yourself for stuttering in front of these cats. "I am Volestar and this is Foxpaw", only then do you remember how hungry you were, "I have to go.." You whisper, starting to back up away from these strange cats. A small one starts, "You are trespassing on our territory, but not meaning harm, and you aren't a Clan cat. So that gives me the right to attack you" You start to bristle up waiting for an attack that never comes, "Foxpaw! Don't scare our guest" The Tabby begins to turn to you, "Young one, you show promise, would you consider joining AlderClan?" You flick an ear, trying to pick if you would be welcomed to the Clan and if you want to be around them. With hesitation you whisper "Yes". "Then welcome to the Clan of the sneaky and cunning"He said leading you with a flick of his tail, you come across a clearing of trees with many cats inside greeting you with mainly happy glances. "Everyone shall welcome our new Clan mate...." Forum Rules - - Please follow all Forum Rules. You can read the Forum Rules here Literacy - - I'm not asking that you write a novel, but I do expect correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. What I mean by that is dnt tlk lyk dis. It's annoying and hard to understand. If you want to use "&" instead of "and" that's completely okay. When you're not roleplaying, you can use text talk as much as your little heart desires. Activity - - Please don't join then never come back, you'll be wasting your time and mine. I understand if you're busy and can't come on everyday. I do ask that you try to come on once a week to roleplay. If you don't roleplay for 3 weeks, without prior notice, I'm afraid I will have to delete you. But you can always rejoin. Respect - - My most important rule. Be nice. I hate bullies with a passion. If you are mean to someone you get a strike, 3 strikes and you're out and cannot rejoin. End of story. Kit-Killing/Stealing - - Kit-killing is not allowed by any outside users. It is allowed within the clan only if it is part of a plot that I, and the user roleplaying the kit, allows it. Kit-stealing is not allowed under any circumstances and will be reported. Roleplay - - When you're not roleplaying, use (), [], {}, OOC, or something to help others identify whether or not you're roleplaying. Like I said before, text talk is not aloud during roleplay, but is aloud when you're not roleplaying. Also, keep all roleplay PG/PG-13 Spam - - Do not spam or advertise. "_______ come to _______" every once in a while is okay, but don't make a habit of it. Characters & Realism - - No Mary-Sues or Gary-Stues. This is a realistic roleplay, so I want all characters to be realistic. So no perfect characters, please. No cats with powers, wings, or pink fur. Also, try to make the warrior names realistic as well. For example, please don't use the names Dragonclaw or Magicpelt. There is no character limit. You may make as many as you can handle. But if you make 3 or more characters, I ask that you don't make them all the same gender. I'm not going to ask you to make a tom for every she-cat, but I want the gender ratio to be somewhat even. I'm not expecting it to be exactly even but I don't want it to be 1 tom for every 6 she-cats. Also, you cannot start out as a StarClan cat or Dark Forest Cat. If you are going to start out as a queen, you must have a mate and kits/be pregnant or have a backstory on what happened to your mate and why you do not have one at the time of joining. And if you want to make a kit, you should make another cat of another rank, and can only make a kit without a mother if there is an open queen willing to foster a new kit. And since there always tends to be too many apprentices, there should only be one apprentice per every three warriors. Have Fun! - - My second most important rule. I made this roleplay for the enjoyment of myself & others. If you have an idea for a plot to make this roleplay more enjoyable, please tell me. There are no bad plots. I will do my best to try to use that plot. Sorry if these rules seemed harsh.

Welcome to AlderClan. The home of the sneaky and cunning. Some would call us unreliable and rude because we put our Clan before others. We aren't the ones to go into head first battle and prefer an ambush. But just because we act this way does not mean you should never ask for help, so though being unreliable does not mean we would help in a time of need. We normally have brown, black, silver and sometimes blue-gray. It is highly unusual to find a ginger cat here and they will normally not be Clan born. Season - - new-leaf [ ] green-leaf [ ✕ ] leaf-fall [ ] leaf-bare [ ] Prey - - Mice - Common Voles (Common) Squirrels (Common) Starlings (Common) Magpies (Common) Wood pigeons (Uncommon) Thrushes (Rare) Rabbit (Rare) Predators - - Foxes (Common) Badgers (Common) Dogs (Common) Wolves (Rare) The forest used to not be inhabited by a strong Clan, but by small groups of loners and rogues, occasionally joined by a straying kittypet. Although there were already two Clans nearby, no cat thought to form one of their own for a long time. During one particularly cold leaf-bare, many cats were struggling, their loved ones dying from widespread sickness and hunger. A few grouped together, but not into a Clan, to help gain prey. One cat name Alder, a loner, had lived hearing stories of Clan cats from his parents until they died during that cold season. He knew how they helped each other survive, and got through good times. However, it seemed impossible to form a Clan, when cats would die so much. One night, he dreamed of cats with stars in their pelts, including his parents. They gave him the name Alderstar and told him to form a Clan, and the following day, he began. It took quite awhile, gaining only up to two cats per day, although on most there were none. Alderstar made a full Clan soon before the end of leaf-bare, and moons later the descendants of the first AlderClan cats live on, caring for each other as was necessary back then.

Territory - - AlderClan's territory is a surrounded by large trees. It has a few clearings with rivers and altogether a very confusing place, you jumping through trees and then face first in the mud. The Camp The camp is in the middle of the territory. Under the camp is a small lake that the cats drink from. The lake is hidden by vines growing from the huts. Abandoned Twoleg Obstacle Course The abandoned twoleg obstacle course is near the camp, it has a circle of stumps that the cats use to get the apprentices to learn how to leap from wood to wood with getting hurt or falling. Next to that, there is a rope across two trees that they use for balance. This is a place that mainly apprentices and their mentors will visit for training. The Stream The stream is an unusual phenomenon, it swerves around the trees until it circles around the lake under the camp and then goes to the lake. The clan cats use it find small prey as it takes a drink. The water is a brilliant blue color and is what they use to easily tell where they are. The Clearing The Clearing is a space with orange and brown leaves falling to the ground, through surrounded by trees it is not a hunting zone. Instead, it is used for space so the medicine cat has a somewhere grow their herbs. It smells sweet, leading the kits to play around here. The Training Spot The training spot is used for teaching apprentice has to attack and defend themselves. It has moss all over the ground so they don't get hurt. If you get on top of a roof of a hut you can see into it. It has rocks and thick grass surrounding it. Rimu Spot The Rimu spot is a spot near the edge the border filled with Rimu trees, these trees have many little branches covered in leaves all over it. When you hit the top there are a bushy bit of leaves. The cats use it as a place to relax and play around. This spot is very important to them as there are no other places with theses trees that they know of. Tree Tunnels The tree tunnels is a group of trees that have fallen and have become hollow on the inside. AlderClan can find many animals here, they use it as a space to teach apprentices how to hunt prey. It can also be used to hide when being attacked as they are well hidden. They are located near the camp. Camp - - AlderClan's camp lays in old and abandoned twoleg tree-house camp. It has twig bridges going from tree to tree. Small huts are perched above branches at different heights. They can climb up to the top of their dens to get a lookout to spot enemy clans. There are no ladders meaning only cats who can climb trees are able to get up. The nests are filled with moss growing on the sides of the trees only because it is slightly harder to get it from the ground. The Bridges The bridges are covers in moss for grip and are set all over the camp. It has many claw marks decorate the wood as cats leave them behind when they are made warriors. The moss on the bridges will not be removed. Leader's Den The leader's den is the highest hut. It was originally made for the inhabitants to sleep in. From the inside, you can tell that the reason they left was that of an attack, there is a deep hole from digging, which is the purrfect place for the leader's nest. There are remains of some of their equipment which the cats would use as the leader's nest padding. Medicine Cat's Den The medicine cats den an old storage hut with few shelves. Over the years vines have grown to provide medicine cats the purrfect area to store their herbs, surprisingly the shelves are used as nests for sick cats and the medicine cat and apprentice. It is quite small and cozy. Warriors' Den The warriors' den is in the living quarters. It has warm red paint on the walls that are slowly peeling off. It has a platform in the middle of the wall to make two floors. It has a ladder between them to make it easier to get to. It has some sheep wool as carpet left from twolegs. Apprentices' Den The apprentices' den was a training room, it has lots of small platforms and targets. It is a large room give the apprentices lots of space to practice things. AlderClan has made a space so they can learn to climb trees. The nests are in a corner of the hut for more space. Nursery The nursery is in the old winter hut. It is one of the warmest huts other than the Elders' den. There are padding on the walls to keep the cold air out. There are many nests over the floor with a small area more moss balls and playing. It is connected with the elders' den so the kits can have stories. Elders' Den The elders' den is the other room of the winter hut. It has padding on the walls and over the roof. The middle is filled with nests and a massive pile of moss in the corner of the hut for their beds. It is connected with the nursery so that the kits can have stories and the elders can complain easier which was not on purpose. High Ledge The high ledge is where the cats go in the clan meeting. It's located on top of the leader's den. They can get up to it by going into the leaders den and climbing up the wall until you find the hole in the roof, then they climb through and get to the edge. Fresh Kill Pile The fresh kill pile is located on a platform in the middle of the camp.

Leader - - Volestar Volestar is a large chocolate tabby with a scar above his left eye after a battle. He has amber eyes and massive claws. Volestar is a caring cat to all of his Clanmates, but before you warm up to him he can act extremely cold and unhelpful. Volestar is a tom. When Volestar was a kit his mother and father passed away and he was given to another queen to raise him. From that moment to chose that he would become the leader and make his mother and father proud in StarClan. 48 moons Vinyl Deputy - - Willowclaw Willowclaw is a broad shouldered blue-gray tom with three white paws and white ear tips, and bright green eyes. Willowclaw has a very commanding, somewhat serious personality, and doesn't take well to cats who aren't clan born. To him, his loyalty to AlderClan is everything, and he isn't keen on showing leniency to those who threaten his clanmates. He has a brother, Spottedclaw, who he looks at as too childish. 37 moons Birdflight
Medicine Cat - - Emberpelt Emberpelt is a bright ginger tom with green eyes. He has a bushy tail with a white tail tip and black paws. Emberpelt is a friendly and capable tom. Not much makes him angry, and he has a lot of restraint and tolerance for any cat. He refuses to deny aid to any cat regardless of their background due to his own circumstances. Due to the color of his pelt, Emberpelt was often looked at differently by his clanmates as a kit, who suspected that he was not clanborn. Emberpelt was aware of this, and longed to find a way to change his clanmates' image of him. This eventually came to pass when StarClan visited him and Volestar in a dream, explaining that he was clanborn, and that his unique pelt was because of his destiny to heal. Moved by this dream, Emberpelt became a medicine cat apprentice shortly afterwards, eventually becoming a full medicine cat. Emberpelt also developed a knack for hunting, and while out gathering herbs, it wasn't uncommon to see the medicine cat return to camp with a mouse or squirrel. 30 moons ~Skyblaze~
Medicine Cat Apprentice - - Fawnpaw She's a light brown she-cat with a white chest, muzzle, stomach, socks and speckles on her back and forehead, with amber eyes. She's also fairly small, and her fur is sleek and shiny. Fawnpaw is very clever, and works hard with no moans. She is usually very calm and accepting, and if she shows any sign of irratation, it's usually only the flick of her short tail. The most of her irratation is caused by the distrust of her clanmates, because she wasn't born in the clan. Instead, she was brought in by her loner mother, and she doesn't remember her previous life. This varies from not letting her hang around them, to not talking to her. 6 & a half moons bubblingtsunami Warriors - - Kestrelflight Kestrelflight is a gray and white tom with green eyes. He has short fur and a long tail. Kestrelflight is an introverted and quiet tom, preferring to keep to himself. He can come off as snappy or grumpy when approached and has little patience. He isn't really mean, just misunderstood. He doesn't mean to be snappy, but is just shy and somewhat awkward around other cats. Any cat who takes the time to break past his barriers will learn that he can be funny and even somewhat charming. But to date, no cat has attempted to do so. Truly, this young warrior is just lonely, and wishes for a friend who is willing to take a chance on him. 17 moons ~Skyblaze~
Lionfern Lionfern is a lithe young she-cat with golden fur. Her feet are completely white, however, and huge considering her size. She isn't the biggest, but very strong. Her main strength is her speed, however. Her curious nature has made her an avid climber, and she loves the feeling of racing through the forest and chasing prey up trees. Lionfern is a resourceful she-cat who seems to have an endless amount of energy. She can work for days without sleep, and will stop at nothing to complete a mission. When her loyalty has been won, she will remain loyal for the rest of life, unless you betray her in any way. The road to a cold shoulder and biting remarks is short from there. Born and raised in the clan, Lion is extremely attached to the place and the people there. Her loyalty can lead to her being overly hostile to outsiders, however. 18 moons Dragoness
Spottedclaw Spottedclaw is a handsome broad shouldered silver spotted tabby with green eyes and one white paw. His brother is more muscular than he is, but he is faster. Spottedclaw is pretty easy going and doesn't focus as much on the responsibility of a clan. He doesn't always listen, and while his heart is typically with his clan it doesn't stop him from causing trouble. 37 moons Birdflight Blackberry Blackberry is a pretty slender cream furred she cat with black paws and a nick in her ear. She has green eyes and a long tail. Blackberry is a new warrior, and eager to prove herself as a capable warrior, which sometimes clouds her judgment. She hasn't quite settled into her new role in the clan, but she has dreams of being someone great. 20 moons Birdflight Ambersky Long furred russet tabby tom with white paws and chest. He has one brown eye, one blue eye. This affects the ability to hear on his left side, the side with the blue eye. He can still hear pretty well, but sometimes his ear almost turns off and he can't hear for a while. It eventually revives and he can hear once again. He is broad-shouldered and tough, with a disposition for fighting. He is a strong cat, but with his ear, he sometimes loses fights. He is working on improving himself every day. 24 moons ~Tigerblaze~
Brambleheart
Brambleheart is a tall, lean, tortoiseshell tom with a handsome, angled face and tall ears. He is dark gray and dark ginger with white paws and pale green eyes. He has long whiskers and short, soft fur. Bramblehearts's back left paw is twisted and scarred due to an incident from which a tree fell on him at the age of 9 moons. Due to his injury, his training has lasted longer than the other apprentices. Because of this, his confidence is damaged and he limps around. Brambleheart is charming and kind. He always has a joke to make and is known throughout the Clans for his handsome winks. 16 moons Rustyspatula
Name DESCRIPTION Age Screenname Apprentices - - Foxpaw Foxpaw is a small ginger Somali with a white underbelly and tail. Her eyes are a leafy green and her nose is a rosy pink. Foxpaw is a very adventurous cat who is quick and doesn't normally think of a plan. She-Cat. Foxpaw was born to a litter of two in leaf-bare, but her her brother died from the cold and lack of food, Foxpaw was too young to remember and no one talks about it so she doesn't get upset. 7 moons Vinyl
Swift{Paw} Swiftpaw is a cream and brown tabby cat with calm green eyes. Her brown tabby markings are marbled, giving her the "swirl" part of her name. Her face is mostly cream colored, with a brown "M" above her eyes and a vine-like stripe under each eye. All her whiskers are white, which is pretty and a little strange, but even stranger will be her warrior name. It's a toungetwister that boggles kits and apprentices, so being her kind-natured self, she allowed her clanmates to call her Swirl. However, she wishes for her clanmates to use her full name during gatherings and important patrols for formality's sake. "Swirl" used to be her name when she was a kittypet. She abandoned her kittypet life when two young male twolegs moved into her kindly owner's house. The newcomers tormented Swirl for "fun," such as throwing her in the pool (fortunately, she was able to save herself). Swirl knew she had to get away, so she fled and became a loner. Eventually, she found AlderClan and joined, going under the name of "Swiftpaw" for her speedy hunting and quick, smooth fighting. Her swift and silent nature most likely derived from her fear of the new twolegs, for she had to learn how to hide. Despite her paranoia of her former owners, Swiftswirl is a laid-back, easy-going she-cat who treats everyone with reverence and respect, despite the fact that she isn't always respected for being a kittypet. This is because she is thankful for the place AlderClan provided her with, a new beginning and a relatively peaceful life. She hopes to make AlderClan feel like home for everybody. To do this, she wants to make sure her clan mates have nothing to fear, so she does her best to practice her skills, mentor apprentices to a T (even if they aren't her own), observe mentors in their teaching, visit kits and tell them what to be wary of as a cat in general by sharing her stories. These stories do haunt Swiftpaw, though, and often she can freeze up when she has a flashback or senses something bad. She's stubborn to admit when there's a problem because she doesn't want her clan mates to be scared, and this reluctance could cost her rank altogether. 24 moons philosopher
Buckpaw A strong, widely-built tom with thick, long cinnamon fur with white on his chest and neck, and his paws. He has a flattened face and snub nose, a slight underbite, and wide-set amber eyes. While not quick-thinking, his intelligence lies with learning and retaining skills in depth. He is hardworking and loyal, and holds to rules strictly, which conversely can lead to him being harsh and demanding towards himself and others to hold to them above all else. Although he is brash and stubborn, however, he is very sociable and sensitive and will stand up to anything for the sake of his clan. 8 moons videocassette

Battle Moves - - Back kick Explosive surprise more to catch opponent from Behind. Judge opponents distances from you carefully, then lash out with you back legs, taking the weight on your front paws. Back rake A bit like Belly rake, if your a SkyClan cat this move works best. If your fighting a cat from the front, jump over the cats head and score your claws down their back. Belly rake A fight stopper. Slice with unsheathed claws across soft flesh of opponents belly. If your pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back in control. Double death bite Seems dishonorable and is only used against very evil cats. A partner and you take on one cat. Once you've got a hold of your opponent, your partner helps hold down enemy cat, and you both bite hard down on enemy cat's throat. Two pairs of jaws will cut off airway and cat will choke to death. Like I said, it's considered dishonorable and would only be used against evil cats like Tigerstar. Dizzy dance Only can be preformed by a extremely small and quick cat against a larger and at least somewhat slower cat. The cat charges head on then swiftly leaped sideways, ducking under the cat then as soon as the cat preforming this attack is out from under the other cat it spins and leaps over it. Then once More spins but rams the side then jumps over/goes under the cat and rams the other side then land one final blow by leaping onto the cat's back and grabbing the scruff with teeth and using your free paws to batter the cat's head. This attack should in the end result in a dizzy or confused enemy. Dizzy tackle A great move for swift young warriors facing older, larger warriors. You run in circles around them at top speed until their to dizzy or tired (if the were chasing you) to keep up. Then you tackle them. While they are down, attack. Caution, standing directly over them makes you vulnerable to the Belly Rake. This is a One-on-one move and is not recommended in a place with many foes. Front paw blow Frontal Attack. Bring your front paws down hard on you opponents head, claws unsheathed. Front paw strike Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw at the body or face of your opponent. Claws unsheathed. Killing bite A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes considered dishonorable. Used only as a last resort. Leap and hold Ideal for a small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto the opponents back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent paws and in the position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Leap-and-cover Ideal for making your opponent feel much pain, leap onto your opponent's back and put your paws over their eyes. For the moment the opponent is blinded, sink your claws into the soft skin around their eyes. If your opponent doesn't run away, take advantage of their temporary blindness and perform leap-and-hold move. Making sure You never know if a opponent is actually dead. When an opponent goes limp, they become vulnerable, so make sure they are really dead. Bite and slash. Claws unsheathed. When you think they have gone to StarClan, pray and leave. Partner fighting Warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting the others back while fending off an opponent o either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be whirlwind of danger for attackers. Play dead Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned. Stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxed his grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw off an unwary opponent and you are in the attacking position. Scruff shake Secure a strong teeth grip in the scuff of your opponents neck, then shake violently until he or she is to rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, which are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them. Tail trip The opponent moves to you and at the right moment, trip them with your tail. Teeth grip Target your opponents extremists- the legs, tail, scuff, or ears- and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap and hold, except your claws remain free to fight. Unbalancing act If a cat is going to bring down all its weight on you while rearing on its back legs, role towards your opponents hind legs to unbalance him. Upright lock Final, crushing more on already weakened opponent. Rear up on your back legs and bring full weight on your opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This move makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so requires great strength and speed. Battle Tactics - - Approach from behind your enemy The advantage is gaining the higher ground is that you can charge at greater speed at the enemy, who will be weakened by having to fight uphill. Use the light from the sun The sun should be behind you to dazzle your Use the light from the sun enemy. In green leaf, the midday sun is especially bright and cruel to cats who are used to sulking under the cover of the trees. In leaf bare, the low sun hovers around the eye line like a troublesome bee, keep your enemy from facing it, and they'll have trouble seeing an attacker from any direction. Know were the wind is coming from If there is a strong wind, it should be blow from behind you toward the enemy, blinding them with dust and holding them back like a current of a river. If you wish to preserve the element of surprise, the wind should blow from the enemy position toward you so your scent is carried away from them. Conceal the size of your force The number of cats in your battle patrols can be hidden to confuse the enemy from a distance. Cats packed tightly together will appear as a small attacking force, encouraging the enemy to be over confidant and make poor strategic decisions. Alternatively, is cats are spread out in signal file, they will look like a solid border of warriors, which will seem impenetrable to an advancing enemy. Attack from both ends of the Enemy first If both ends of the enemy line are defeated, the cats in the center of the line will have to fight the two fronts. Even if they are outnumbered, the will be out flanked, vulnerable, and in disarray. Keep fresh warriors in reserve Always have adequate reserves of fresh, fit warriors behind the battle line. They will be able to replace injured warriors, launch a separate attack if the enemy tries to encircle your forces, or fend off a surprise enemy from the rear. If the battle is in your favor, finish it by sending your reserve warriors behind the enemy line to surround them and demand surrender. Feigned retreat and ambush A group of strong cats charges at the enemy, screeching, then turns and withdraws. Repeat this until the infuriated enemy finally breaks it's line and gives chase. Then the trap is sprung. Other warriors positioned in rabbit holes and other dips in the ground-out of enemy eyes line- attack as soon as your opponents have gone past. The enemy will be forced to stop and turn around to fight the unexpected threat, as they do the retreating cats must turn and charge back at them with full speed. The enemy is caught between two bodies of attacking cats and will quickly surrender. Water Combat - - Double-Front-Paw Splashes water into the face of the enemy. Underwater Leg Sweep (Front of Hind) The opponent will not see it coming under the water so won’t have a chance to brace himself before losing his balance. Push-Down and Release Almost all non-XeoClan cats panic if they are submerged, while XeoClan cats know how to hold their breath underwater. This move can be used to secure a decisive victory, because it’s most likely to make the opponent surrender. Underwater Clinch Uses warrior’s weight to hold the opponent below the surface, with a firm grip that enables the warrior to bring his enemy spluttering back to the surface before forcing him under again. Tail Splash Temporarily blinds opponent by flicking water in his eyes. Underwater Push-Off Crouching and erupting out of the water into opponents, using surprise and impact to knock him off balance. Sandpaw Splash Using noise of water splashed at a distance to create a decoy, leaving opportunity for a surprise attack. Above-Ground Combat - - The Sky-Crusher Landing with all four feet on top of an opponent, flattening him like a leaf. The Flick-Over Landing with front paws outstretched to sweep the opponent off his feet and roll him onto his back. The Kick Kicking down hard as the warrior nears the ground, then using momentum from landing to spring away before the opponent can retaliate. The Slice Dropping down with claws unsheathed for maximum injury. The Branch Swing Holding on to the branch with front claws and swinging hind legs into the opponent’s face. The Reverse Branch Swing Holding on to the branch with back claws and striking with front legs through the swing. The Trunk Swing Sliding down the trunk and springing off at head height, using hind legs to push off and clear opponents. (Good if tree is surrounded.) The Reverse Climb Climbing backward up the trunk as the opponent advances to gain advantage of height; often followed by Trunk Swing. Surprised? - - Move quietly and communicate using tail-signals. Cracking twigs, startling birds, and rustling bracken will tell the enemy exactly where you are. Keep downwind of the trespassers so that your scent doesn’t give you away. Look for freshly broken twigs, overturned leaves on the forest floor, remains of prey, or a clump of fur caught on a bramble. Any animal that moves through the forest leaves behind signs that it’s passed-and signs like this could lead you straight to the invaders. Keep your mouth open to search for unfamiliar scents. Be careful: If there is scent when there is no breeze to carry it through the forest, it could mean that your enemy is very close by. Light-colored pelts are easily seen against brown and green foliage, so stay in the thickest cover. Keep low-the enemy will be looking for movement at normal head height, not close to the ground. Never miss an opportunity to perfect your tracking ability. In the nursery, kits sneak up on their mothers and pounce with their moss-soft paws. Apprentices leap out on one another from behind bushes and tree stumps. These are more than just games. One day, these skills could save your life and defend your Clan.

(Here!)
Ambersky moved silently through the undergrowth of the bushes. His tail flicked with concentration, his eyes wide and watching for any sign of movement. And then... There! A bird perched on a rock, picking at what Ambersky could only assume was a worm or bug of some sort. He took one step and... his paw landed on a large leave, crunching under him loud enough that the bird shot off. He moved to try and capture the fleeing creature, but to no avail. It was long gone. His moment had passed. He took a deep breath and huffed it out in annoyance. I suppose I'll just head back to camp. I'll get better. There is always room for improvement. He padded away from his failure, hoping no one had seen his mistake. After all, he was only supposed to be checking the borders. If he returned with no fresh-kill, no one would think twice about it.

(Thanks for adding me! ^^)
Batpaw sorted through the herbs by sent and gently dabbing the piles with his forepaws. Judging by the smell and feel of it, they were low on Chamomile and Coltsfoot. He checked the supplies once more before getting to his paws and turning out of the medicine cat's den. He'd need someone to go out with him if he was going to gather herbs. Irritation bubbled in his gut when he realized he'd need someone just to get down the trees without breaking his legs. The young tom stayed low to the ground, not unlike a hunting crouch, and made his way to the edge of the den, stopping when the tips of his paws hung off the edge of the hut. He still wasn't confident around the long falls after losing his sight.

Foxpaw scurried back to camp, just in time to see the young tom trying to get down from camp, "You need help Batpaw!?"She giggled watching him get a fright. She started climbing up the tree, watching Batpaw in anticipation.

Batpaw could hear approaching paws stumbling towards the camp from below and opened his mouth in an attempt to catch their sent before they announced themselves. It'd been a lot easier pairing a cat's face with their smell when he could still see their faces. He was struggling to remind himself which name matched the sent of the cat below when she called to him. He flicked his tail in irritation, sure he would have known it was Foxpaw if she'd just given him a bit more time to think. He opened his mouth to answer her question, but snapped it shut when he heard her amused laughter. He flattened his ears and let out a hiss before slinking back and away from the ledge. How dare she laugh at him! "Not from you." he spat once she made it to the top of the tree and he heard the thud of her paws landing on solid wood.

Foxpaw tilted her head in confusion, "Why not Batpaw?" She asked, it only then dawned on her of how rude she had been too poor Batpaw for being blind. "Oh I'm sorry Batpaw for laughing at you, but I would have laughed at anyone if I scared them" She whispered.

Batpaw gave her another hiss, but this time half-heartedly. Foxpaw and her brother had been born just a day before Batpaw and his brother, and because of that the two were practically littermates. They'd started training at the same time which lead to them training and hunting together for a moon. Thanks to this, Batpaw's fur flatted out from where it'd been bristled a moment ago and he looked in her general direction for a few moments before turning his head away and flicking his tail. "We're low on a few herbs." He mumbled as he started absently picking at the wooden planks below his paws. "I need to go down to the clearing."

Leading Batpawn down paw by paw they till they eventually get to the bottom, "So what were you doing without a warrior going down there?" She questioned because normally he would have someone with him for things like this, she also waved to her mentor letting him know that she was taking Batpaw to the clearing. "Let's go!" She yelled

Batpaw scrambled messily down the tree, his claws and panicked attempts to dig into the bark sending stray sheds down on Foxpaw, who he'd let go first just in case she had to break his fall. "I wasn't planning on going down alone." He snapped a bit harsher than intended. Some part of him knew se didn't mean offense, but the other half told him she was mocking him with that question. He could hardly make it down the tree! Batpaw opened his mouth to tell her to wait, but decided it was best to just follow. He bounded after the other apprentice, feeling a high in the way he was finally able to fully stretch out his legs and run through the forest for the first time in nearly an entire moon. He felt panic start to rise in his chest as Foxpaw got a bit too far ahead of him and he was starting to have trouble picking out her sent from the rest of the forest. The rustling of leaves under her paws didn't do much help with it being drowned out by bird calls and squirrel chatters. He got so caught up in the sents and sounds that he stopped trying to detect what was in front of him. With a yowl of surprise, Batpaw felt his right forepaw sink into what must have been a rabbit hole and stumbled to a messy stop in the dirt.

Holding in the urge to laugh she went over to him and helped him out, "If you couldn't smell me you could have just yelled" She said knowingly. After that she helped him clean off all of the dirt on him. "You all good now?"

Batpaw ungraciously yanked himself free from the rabbit hole and started to lick his chest fur as he heard Foxpaw rushing back towards him. "Unlikely you would have heard me." he mumbled before carefully testing to make sure he could stand on all fours. His paw wasn't hurt. With that, he shook his pelt out and sent specks of dirt that had been holding onto his fur flying into the air. He huffed at her question and set a slower, yet still productive, pace. "Fine." He answered her and made his way for the clearing, just wanting to get back to the camp and forget about the ordeal from the safety of his nest.

Foxpaw felt a little hurt from the replies she was getting but kept walking, Why is Batpaw so annoyed today, I did say sorry for laughing and I had been near by the whole time we were walking. "Sooo.... What herbs are you getting anyway" She said trying to make small talk because she hated the silence...

"Coltsfood and Chamomile." He answered sharply. Batpaw paused in his steps as he heard scurrying in front of him. His paws itched to drop into the hunter's crouch and to try to catch the small animal making the noises in the grass ahead of him... but... he glanced over his shoulder at Foxpaw. He'd already done a fine enough job of embarrassing himself in front of her today. Did he honestly need to do it again?

"Want some help with that?" She whispered, remembering that Batpaw still liked to hunt and battle like a warrior. She saw in his glace that he was questioning himself, when she saw the animal she realized it was the same mouse that she had scared away.
