Ambersky shook himself a bit. He didn't want to show up to camp dripping wet! He'd look like a wet rat. He was not excited about explaining to other cats what happened. "I'm going to stay in the forest a bit. Find a sunning spot to dry off. I'll be fine now if you wanted to do something else." He replied. He had some of his energy back, so he knew he'd be fine if he was by himself. He didn't want to hold Willowclaw back from his duties.

It had been mere days since Swirl left her twoleg home. Now she found herself sitting on a rock, basking in the sunlight, at least 5 miles from her old home. That was quite a distance for a cat, less of a distance for Twolegs, but for now, Swirl felt safe. Still, her mind was buzzing with reflection upon her flight from home. Was it the right thing to do? Would the nice twoleg miss her? Was she truly safer out in the wild?
...would she be all alone now?
(I was thinking Ambersky could maybe spot her)

( Fangirl Realist sure I can have him do that!) Ambersky started to pad away from Willowclaw, looking for a nice place to sun himself, in order to dry off. He had moved quite a ways that he was now close to the border of Alderclan territory. There was a group of rocks that Ambersky knew would work perfectly for the task he was thinking about. As he neared the rocks, a new smell came up to meet him. He stopped cold in his tracks. Was that... A rogue? He smelled again, No, more like a kittypet. He thought to himself, crouching low in the grass. He couldn't see the cat, but he knew they were where he wanted to go. He thought about heading back to camp, to get other warriors. But of course, he'd have to tell them why he was all wet still and why he was heading that way. He pushed closer to the mysterious cat, and when his eyes laid on them, he realized it wasn't even that old. Young, even. Maybe apprentice age. And it was a she. Good thing I didn't go to the camp for reinforcements. Having to explain my appearance and that I felt threatened by a young she-cat kittypet would have been very embarrassing. He pushed out from the forest to the clearing with the sunning rocks, on high alert for any other cats that may be around. Kittypets usually ran in small packs, but this one seemed completely alone. It would be easy to scare her off, but a small voice inside Ambersky told him not to. To see if this she-cat was okay, then if it came to it, escort her off of Alderclan territory. "Eh-hem." Ambersky cleared his throat, giving his position away.

"I'll do a little hunting then," Willowclaw told him. "I'll be in the area, so call if you need anything." He headed a little bit into the woods, picking up the scent of a thrush.
Spottedclaw placed a bit of weight onto Bramblepaw's injured leg, and then swipped his paws down his side.

Bramblepaw managed to scramble away and then rounded and tackled himself onto Spottedclaw's shoulders, pinning him down to the best of his ability.

"Remember to guard your hind leg!" Spottedclaw advised, rolling with the weight of the apprentice's attack. He shook him off and rolled to his paws. "You have to be nimble, dive in and out. Any opponent will go straight for your leg if you give them the chance."

Bramblepaw composed himself and nodded, ruffling his fur. "Okay. One more time?"

"One more time. And this time, try to strike and move; avoid tackling me," Spottedclaw told him.

Bramblepaw nodded curtly. Positioning himself to attack, he allowed himself a few seconds before lunging forward, smacking Spottedclaw's side with both paws, and rolled away. He coughed and sputter before rising to his paws.

"Good," Spottedclaw meowed, a little winded from the blow. "But don't give your opponent a chance to attack; this time, when you come at me, attack, move, then try and knock me off my paws."

Bramblepaw nodded again and crouched down. He leaped toward Spottedclaw and shoved his weight onto the tom's shoulder before rolling away, tucking his injured leg in and lashing out at Spottedclaw's legs with his other leg.

(I will) Spottedclaw fell to the ground with a huff. Quickly he got to his paws, excited. "Great! Willowclaw may be a stick in the mud, but he did teach me that your weaknesses can be your strengths, if you work with them."
"Foxpaw," Willowclaw meowed gently, padding up to the apprentice, "Are you okay?"

(haha it's fine, Willowclaw isn't used to dealing with sappy so it should be fun) Willowclaw stiffened for a moment; he hadn't expected tears. "Umm, I guess no cat really thought to. Sometimes...sometimes we are so used to death, that we forget it hurts to lose someone."

"Well yeah," Willowclaw told her. "One of my littermates, Specklepaw. She died when she was an apprentice in a battle with DepthClan."
(I would like one of my cats to be the deputy)

(Ok that works) "Oh no it's fine, that was seasons ago," Willowclaw told her. "But with time, all wounds heal. As far as a deputy, no cat can tell Volestar what to do or when to appoint one, but I hope it's soon. When the other clan's see weakness, they start getting bold."

"Sure," Willowclaw told her, "So long as you can keep up." The challenge was playful as he made his way for the camp entrance.

"That just mean's you'll have to work harder!" he called out to her, putting more power in his paw steps. He broke out into a brisk sprint.

Willowclaw slowed to a stop, watching Foxpaw. "Impressive. Always work smarter, not harder. If you can't overpower an opponent, out smart them." He glanced around the forest. "Now let's see those hunting skills."

Bramblepaw grinned and nodded in thanks, flopping on the ground. He breathed heavily, thankful to have a break. "Man, I think that's enough fighting for today. Is that alright with you?"

Willowclaw slowed to a stop, watching Foxpaw. "Impressive. Always work smarter, not harder. If you can't overpower an opponent, out smart them." He glanced around the forest. "Now let's see those hunting skills." "Where will we be hunting?" She asked, Hopefully, the animal doesn't hear me this time! She only then took the time to scan her surroundings for prey. Spotting a small vole she dropped down into a hunting position her tail laying flat on the ground, creeping up behind it, waited for the perfect moment and then, pounced forwards claws sinking into its flesh, with a quick bite killing it. Smiling proudly she said "How was that?"
