Elmheart finally said, "So, since we all don't seem to be doing anything, and we were talking about apprentices, why don't we take ours out for a little training, sister?" Hickoryfoot looked a little surprised, but shrugged. "Um, okay... Where are they?" Turtlepaw looked up. "I'm here." "I think I'm going to go out for a solo hunt." Rosebriar said walking off. |

Rosebriar disappeared silently off into the woods like a shadow clinging to the trees.
Turtlepaw looked up at the mentors.
Dawnlight and Volepaw returned from hunting with a rabbit, squirrel, and two nice between them.
The kits continued to run around with Willowtuft watching.

Rosebriar disappeared silently off into the woods like a shadow clinging to the trees. Turtlepaw looked up at the mentors. Dawnlight and Volepaw returned from hunting with a rabbit, squirrel, and two nice between them. The kits continued to run around with Willowtuft watching. Hickoryfoot looked over at Volepaw before padding off in his direction. "Any more energy you need to work off?" she asked him. "We were planning on doing a little training," said Elmheart to his apprentice. "Are you up for it?" |

If you want you could describe it and that's what I'll put. ) Volepaw trotted up by the mentors excited to be able to train. He was full of energy and wanted to soak in every detail so that he could be an asset to his clan. Turtlepaw padded after the others worried about whether she would do well at training or if she would be shown as a failure in general. |

Turtlepaw padded into the clearing behind the rest of the group. She wasn't moving quickly. "If you say so." She mewed morosely.

"Do you think you could beat Volepaw in a sparring match?" It was an interesting question. They weren't that far into their training and hadn't learned many battlemoves, but Elmheart had a look on his face that said he had something in mind. Hickoryfoot blinked at him, not following at all, but will to listen. |

He stood across from Turtlepaw waiting for her to attack. Turtlepaw stood and mimicked Volepaw' s movements though hers were less fluid and confident. She watched him and tried to figure out the best way to get him off balance. |

Volepaw watched Turtlepaw trying to guess her first move. Turtlepaw darted up to Volepaw and smacked his nose with her paw before slipping under his belly and pushing upwards and grabbing at his hind leg. (Sorry my brain wandered.) (It's fine.  ) Elmheart's whiskers twitched and his eyes narrowed a little as he watched. Hickoryfoot crouched down, watching her brother almost as closely as she did the sparring apprentices. Her brother never glanced at her, his tail flicking. What was he up to? How long would he let the apprentices spar before he brought out the rest of his plan? |

(Lol I was waiting for my sparring partner to reply but it's me.)
Volepaw felt his paws slip under him and growled fighting back to get back to his feet.
Turtlepaw pounced on him raking her hind legs at his belly and pinning him to the ground.

Turtlepaw pounced on him raking her hind legs at his belly and pinning him to the ground. ( cx Whoops.) "Good," muttered Elmheart. Then in a louder voice he said, "Turtlepaw, now, see the position you have Volepaw in? You've got to switch with him." Hickoryfoot tilted her head, twitching her whiskers. Hum...interesting thought. It would put Turtlepaw in a position that she would have to get out of. |
