Smokepaw looked up and shrank as he realized the original she cat was replaced with a large warrior she cat. "Yyyes Russetsong" he said getting up and rushing to get started.

Russetsong smirked as Smokepaw shrank back. She followed Smokepaw as he got started, calling after him, "Start hunting first! I'll help you but you must do the rest yourself."

I love the smell. It reminds me of home, before..." She didn't finish. Instead, she padded forward until she could see the water. She sat down and stared out at the ocean, her whole body still. |

Smokepaw nodded nearly sprinting out into the woods. He paused only to catch scent of a hole. He padded forward jaws parted as he dropped into a crouch. He stalked forward getting within a few tail lengths of the vole before he pounced giving it a bite. |

"I think it's because the waves sound calming." She glanced away, the heat making it's way to her ears. Smokepaw nodded nearly sprinting out into the woods. He paused only to catch scent of a hole. He padded forward jaws parted as he dropped into a crouch. He stalked forward getting within a few tail lengths of the vole before he pounced giving it a bite. Russetsong gave a nod. "Keep going." She sniffed the air, scenting a rabbit nearby. With swift movements, she pinpointed the rabbit, crouched, and chased it for a few foxlengths before catching it. "You can take this back to the camp when you're done." She threw the rabbit on the ground next to Smokepaw. |

Smokepaw stalked the squirrel but somewhere in the forest a bird's cry spooked it and it darted up a tree. He shook his head. "Mouse dung!" He said in a low voice. He started off hoping to find at least a couple more voles and a starling or some other prey because if he didn't Russetsobg would have his head.
