"I have never been to the ocean." Dusktalon mewed shuffling his paws. He had seen the large water in the distance but has never really gone right up to it. "Possibly, I was gonna gather some herbs for the medicine cats. Did you want to come with me?" Pinefrost asked. He could use the company. Lilyspeckle gasped. "How? It's so beautiful!" She began heading for the entrance. "That's it! We are going to see the ocean!" |

Cinderpaw resisted the urge to wiggle her haunches and crept forward. In one fluid motion, she sprinted to the mouse, snapped it up, and killed it. Turning back around, she held the mouse triumphantly in her jaws. Rosebriar watched the apprentice as she used her unusual tactic to catch her prey. It was different from the stalking most cats used but it was effective this time. "That was a good catch. (Where did you learn that method?) " she complimented the apprentice as she looked at Russetsong out of the corner pf her eye. |

"Oh, well, I picked it up from Smokepaw." Cinderpaw said it so breezily, she didn't realize that her own mother was disgusted by the merging.
"You what? Russetsong asked. Her voice was eerily calm. She hated MountainClan cats ever since a patrol jumped her mate."Cinderpaw, I told you never to go near those MountainClan scum."

Rosebriar paused. She was surprised by the utter disgust Russetsong spoke of the Mountainclan cats with. (Awesome idea.) "Well it is good for her to pick up stuff from the other clans because we are all together now." She didn't want to cause problems but she wasn't sure why there was such hostility where there should have been pride.

Smokepaw woke up and stretched as far as he could parting his jaws in a large yawn. He noticed how late it was and tried to look as if he already had a job to do as he strode confidently out of camp. He decided that he was going to head off to the far end of the territory to hunt where not many cats would have lately.

Me and Thistlepaw were practicing hunting techniques and he joined in. I figured it was alright!" Russetsong curled her lip. "We want nothing to do with them! They are slimy and fox-hearted and have no respect for anyone but their own. I don't want them to kill you too!" |

She bounded along behind him thinking of where some of the herbs would be. |

Pinefrost makes his way through the entrance and looks back at Echostep. "So where do you wanna look first?" "Maybe out by the pine grove. There should be plenty of coltstail and other things around there" Echostep suggested taking a second to strech. |

She trotted off to find them with a glance back at her apprentice. She knew she would be if but it worried her that Russetsong was so angry about the 'paws sharing hunting techniques. |

Russetsong pounced for the rabbit, but she landed short and scared it off.
Cinderpaw watched her mentor trot away and turned back to her mother. She noticed the rabbit skittering away. "Bad luck," she mentioned.

Rosebriar spotted the mouse and stalked forward. she pounced and caught the mouse but fell sideways with a loud thump. She stood as qucikly as she could setting the mouse down and licking her ruffled fur.

Russetsong flicked her ears forward as she heard a vole. Crouching down, she tried to mimic Cinderpaw's stance, figuring it should be worth a shot. After all, it wasn't Smokepaw's fault her mate was attacked and killed. let her tail wave slightly, trying to blend in with the ferns that were rustled by a soft breeze. Once the vole was in sight, she leaped. This time, she kept her eyes on the vole so she landed right on it, killing it on the spot. With a meow of triumph, she padded back to Cinderpaw.
Cinderpaw glanced at her mother as she crouched. Fighting down a purr, Cinderpaw turned back to her catch. Her mother was mimicking Smokpaw's technique! Cinderpaw gave Russetsong a purr as she padded over with the vole in her jaws.

( whats new? I'm setting up some new clans because I am obviously not in enough. There are never too many clans to be in  )) Rosebriar made her way back towards the rest of the patrol hoping they had caught more. On her way back she smelled rabbit so she sat down her mouse and followed the scent. |
