"Yay!" My first gathering! I can't believe it! I wonder what it'll be like? Echopaw was bursting with excitement as he followed Poppyshade out of the camp.

Dropletleaf bounced up and down when she heard her name called. "Yay!" She realized that all eyes had turned to her. Sinking to the ground in embarrassment, she blushed.

Lionpaw turned around at the sound of Dropletleaf letting out a small exclemation of joy. He smiled to himself. It was relieving to see that the older warriors were able to feel excitement, too. Sometimes as a kit he had thought that he didn't want to grow up because he never wanted to lose his sense of fun and simple happiness. Luckily for him, that didn't seem to be going to be a problem.

Peppermint; Whipping around, the young cat realized that her ears shouldn't have failed her twice. This time, she could've sworn she heard something. Her tail nearly quivered, but she attempted to stay strong and made sure that she was being intimidating. She held her head high, but her small size and obvious lack of any sort of protection or way to escape a predator. Taking a deep breath, she appeared to be preparing herself. "H-Hello..?" Peppermint called hesitantly, and nearly kicked herself for stuttering. She knew she was on territory of other cats, but she also had to survive. If she explained that, surely the cat couldn't hurt her. Right?

Poppyshade was flattered. She blushed. With a flick of her tail she moved forward. " Briarstar , I accept and I will protect my clan till the bitter end " Her fur ruffled.

Lionpaw looked up at his mentor with shining eyes. He was so darn excited, and very happy that both his mentor and his sister would be going with him. While he had no problem with trying new things, it was nice to know that he would be surrounded by friends when meeting so many unfamiliar cats. "You can bet! I can't wait to meet the other clans!" he said, grinning from ear to ear. Now that he knew Dropletleaf was just as happy as he was to go to the Gathering, he allowed himself to show his excitement.
Otterpaw was overjoyed when she heard her name being called out, but she managed to keep her happiness to herself, except for a tiny smile and flicker of her tail. The best part was that all the other apprentices were going, too, and she searched around her for some of them. However, when Briarstar announced who the deputy was going to be, she straightened her spine and focused on him again.
Riverheart listened intently as Briarstar announced the new deputy. When Poppyshade's name was called, she nodded approvingly. The older she-cat might be a bit rude at times, but she was a hard worker and very loyal to the clan. They would sometimes lead patrols together, so Riverheart knew that Poppyshade would make a good deputy.

"Yes, please can you do that?" he said, bouncing happily up an down. He had always wondered what the other apprentices were going to be like. For some reason he kept imagining them as really different from himself, scarier almost.

Briarstar leaped off of SharpCleft, and padded up to his lovely mate, Riverheart. How lucky he was to have had her choose him out of all the toms in FernClan. She had beatiful gray fur, and was a loyal warrior that he knew he could confide in.
"Do you think I made the right choice? Of deputy, that is" He asked, slightly nervous. His tail twitched. "I mean, she's a good warrior and all. I can't help but wonder if Lichenstar would approve..."
His eyes shifted quickly from green to amber, from amber to blue, from blue to a yellow, and then returned to green. The leader usually did this when he was nervous, though it was quite distracting.

Peppermint; Giving a small yelp, her head whipped towards the cat that had just suddenly appeared there. Had he teleported? She was aware that the clans had powers, but she wasn't sure which power each had. If she knew, she probably would stick to OwlClan or HawkClan, where she'd be more likely to be accepted and released. The fur on her back and tail spiked as she began to feel threatened. Trying to form words on her tongue, she felt herself tripping on her words. Taking a deep breath, she looked at his eyes and tried to meet them. Fear swelled. He already didn't like her. And that was what she was afraid of. This is why she isolated herself, so she wouldn't be disliked because there was no one to dislike her. "I--Um, hunting. Just hunting," She responded, trying not to stutter or sound shy.

Riverheart touched tails with her mate, trying to comfort him. Her eyes changed colour, mimicking his, in an attempt to say 'it's okay'. "I think Poppyshade is an excellent choice! A bit old and grumpy, yes, but extremely capable and with the experience that you still lack."
