[ sorry! my SO was over since friday afternoon c: ]
Forest smiled and licked her ear gently. "If you're ever ready to talk, don't hesitate." He purred, wrapping his tail around her. He felt at ease with this she-cat. Quietsong is such an amazing cat. I'm so glad I met her.
Silhouette blinked as she realized the Clan cat had settled down. I wonder what being in a Clan is like... Too many cats though. She nearly shivered as she thought about the many cats in one small area. "Why do you like being part of a Clan so much?" The rogue asked, pinning her ears back against her head.

(( That's alright! I hope you had fun! ))
Quietsong; The small she-cat looked up at him with a newer emotion to her in her eyes. Quietsong wasn't quite sure what it was, but it was new, and in her opinion, wonderful. The ends of her lips barely curled upwards, but it was noticeable if one was watching. She felt her cheeks slowly begin to burn under her fur. She slowly started to nod, which turned into a more firm one. Quietsong moved slightly closer to Forest, unable to stop the quiet purr that had formed in her throat.

Smokefoot; Seeing that she moved over, he sat down next to her. His tail curled around him, finally settling and just lying across his paws. Letting out a short purr of amusement. "Just here to socialize," He meowed, staring down at her with a friendly look in his eyes. "So... What's up?" He questioned, attempting to start conversation with one of the simplest openings ever created. Windwhisper; Windwhisper looked over at Echoeyes, and the relief set in her head. She was no longer standing out like a sore thumb. Her bright green eyes settled on the other she-cat. "Hello, Echoeyes." She greeted, nodding her head to the other cat calmly. Her extra energy had melted away from her kit-like playing earlier, so she had gotten her grace and pleasant personality back. She wasn't sure where the burst had come from, but she did know that it made her feel like a kit to be playing in the water like that. ((Sorry for the late reply! Shadedfur settled herself back down, she tucked both her front, and back legs underneath her, but she left her tail to lay straight out behind her. The she cat sighed, "nothing! Nothing at all!" She said with a grunt. Shadedfur fixed her gaze onto a ladybug that was crawling up a long blade of grass a fox tail ahead of her, "life's been so slow lately," she said with a grunt. She the looked up at the Tom sitting next to her, "I was hoping you would come to give me something to do!" She said with a slight smile, "talking is nice though." She then look away a bit, but still his direction, "you?" Echoeyes purred at the she cats warm response. Most other cats give her a brief hello, or saw nothing at all before returning to whatever they were doing. Echoeyes smiled, "I know you just came from one but, I need a partner for a patrol. This ones a border patrol though. My sister is out on her own," she then narrowed her eyes a bit and looked to the side, "again," she said with a grunt. Echoeyes quickly shook the sour look away and straightened back up to see how the she would respond to her request.

Forest felt his ears grow hot as Quietsong moved closer. His purr grew louder and he licked the top of the she-cat's head. "How are you feeling?" He murmured, his eyes half closed.

Smokefoot; He watched her settle, and listened to her rant about what had, rather, hadn't happened. A gentle purr of amusement retained in the back of his throat as he listened to the she-cat. He understood the feeling. In response of being asked a question, he meowed. "Well, I just finished talking to Snowstar about the new cat... That's about it though." He gave a gentle head sway of neutrality. "You know, if you're looking for something to do, we could always go hunting," Smokefoot suggested.
Windwhisper; The silver cat nodded to her. I was just playing around, but yes, let us believe that I was on a patrol. Good idea. I was productive. Well, technically I was... I managed to catch a huge fish. Nodding, Windwhisper gave a gentle smile. "Sure, it's no problem! I'd be happy to go on a patrol with you!" She meowed, standing up straighter. She had noticed the sour look, and was watching carefully. Is she in an argument with her sister?
Quietsong; Quietsong nodded. Well, I'm a lot better than I was just a little bit ago... I'm not sure how you lifted my mood, but you've done it, Forest. She nudged his shoulder affectionately, to try to show that she was feeling well. Then, she looked up at him and cocked her head with a curious gleam in her eyes. What about you?

Forest smiled at the she-cat and watched her expression carefully. "If you're asking how I'm feeling, I'm great." He purred, looking at Quietsong for a long time before saying anything. "if I'm wrong then knock me over the head with a pebble." Forest laughed, his usual mid-toned voice becoming high pitched.

Quietsong; She nodded to show that he was right, staring right back at him. Quietsong continued to stare as his voice changed, her eyes widening slightly in shock. Did that really just happen? What? I'm confused, how does that happen? She asked herself, even with the knowledge that she wasn't able to tell herself the answer. That's so peculiar... But that's alright. We all have our quirks...

She then turned and began to turn, ready to practically bound out to the forest. So much energy she suddenly had, which was surprising seeing how calm and somewhat flat her personality usually was. Echoeyes purred, he tail lashing with energy, "alright!" She said with a smile. She then turned, "come one!" She called. She bounded to the entrance, made sure Windwhisper had caught up, and then turned once more, "let's start by going along the close by stream, we can cross at the stepping stones," she said half suggesting and half telling.

Smokefoot; Smokefoot stood up as well, stretching his hind legs for a second before looking at the excited she-cat. He shortly followed her out of the camp, and held his nose to the air. To be honest, the tom was quite tired. He hadn't done much that day, but he had made a round around the territory and introduced a new cat to the clan. But he was always willing to help out his clan mates, even if that meant being tired while hunting. Shaking his head to wake himself up a bit more, his eyes narrowed as he began to scent out prey.
Windwhisper; She followed Echoeyes quickly, having a skip in her trot. She had a bright smile on her face, and a gentle purr in her throat. Her eyes had an overall look of being warmth and welcoming. Following Echoeyes out of the camp, she nodded at her suggestion. "Alright, I'm down," She responded quickly, holding her head high and instinctively looking around for any signs of danger.
Quietsong; The she-cat definitely noticed the trace of awkwardness in his voice. She knew her held silence kind of made it hard to socialize with her. She could only give yes or no answers, or respond to positive or negative type of questions. She lifted her shoulders in a small shrug, unsure of his interests. Her head lifted, staring at the sky. You're probably already tired after that walk and our encounter earlier. Do you have anything in mind?

"I could show you where I used to sleep and watch you guys..." Forest mused, wondering if it was really a good idea to tell this she-cat what he used to do. Shrugging, he decided it couldn't hurt. "I didn't know if it was safe to approach you so I waited and watched until I was sure you wouldn't kill me on the spot." The former loner knew more about the Clans than he let on and was slightly proud of it. The Clan cats had never caught him and for that he thought of himself as very sneaky.

Quietsong; Wait, hold on. You were stalking us? Alright... I'm a little shocked. Her eyes widened, but she nodded anyways. You've also peaked my curiosity. How'd you stay hidden so well? How did none of our cats attack you? Quietsong stood up, and began walking, holding her head up high with her shoulders back to appear as bigger, taller, and more powerful than before. It seemed to be working, too.

(Sorry for not being on, life got stressful.)
Well it's nice, you know that other cats who you have grown up with alway have your back. You don't always agree with them or the leader but that's ok, you still your own cat." She explained to Silhouette, her eyes shining as she spoke about Shadowclan, her clan. The clan wasn't perfect but it was her home. "What is it like living out here for you two?"

There's better prey this way!" She said before speeding up and leaping over a thick bush and squeezed herself underneath a large log almost right after. If Smokefoot was to tired, they could turn back, she knew he wouldn't give into his sleepiness like that. So, she had to at least try and tire him out to see if he was actually ready to turn in. Either she would, of course be fine with! Echoeyes purred, swishing her tail gracefully. She crouched down to part the bush to make her way further down to the bank of the river, but stopped short, her fur raised for a second as she noticed her older sister, Redwing lying there while gazing into the water. Echoeyes quickly turned away, "never mind. L-lets start our walk further up the bank," she said while irritatedly eyeing her sister.

Poppy; She listened quietly, and then looked at Silhouette. She knew that she was addressing both of them, but left the answering to her. After all, she wasn't the one that asked the question. Looking down, Poppy waited for the rouge to respond. Unlike her, she was more of a loner. Poppy preferred not to attack cats, but hoped to settle differences without very much argument. Some could say that the Japanese Bobtail was a push over. Others could say she hadn't given up the kittypet ways of cowardice. Hence the reason she chose not to talk about her background. She just stayed silent, hoping that the two wouldn't acknowledge that she was still there and did not answer the question.
Smokefoot; Looking over at her, he gave a small smile at the she-cat. "Coming." He called, darting after her quickly. He wasn't planning on letting his tiredness get to him. Smokefoot was determined, as if he was on a mission of some sort. Staring at the log, he blinked three times. I do not think I can fit in or under there. He concluded, jumping over it. Sticking his nose in the air, he scented for any nearby prey quickly. She said there was better prey over here... Let's see if that's true!
Windwhisper; Windwhisper followed her quickly, with elegance even in her stride. May one even dare to call it a strut. She nearly kept going when Echoeyes stopped, caught up in the moment. But when she noticed that her clan mate had paused in their walk. Following her eyes, she spotted Redwing. "What do you mean? Don't you want to talk to her?" She questioned, looking between each she-cat carefully. "It's better to talk about these things, you know, instead of ignoring them. If you think she's being lazy just sitting there, tell her that she needs to step up and help her clan," Windwhisper suggested, flicking her tail whilst refusing to turn or move. She wasn't a stubborn cat in general. If Echoeyes simply told her that she wasn't ready to talk about it with her, she would move on from the conversation very easily. She was definitely born to be a RiverClan cat; Being elegant, calm, and going with the flow were what she did best, and main parts of her personality.

Shadedfur swerved around a tree before slowing her pace. She opened her jaws to taste the air of any prey scents. She quickly turned, slowing to a crouch. She sniffed from a far at the a small bush, seemingly hollowed inside, but there were also thorns in some places. She turned, "shrew," she whispered, "with babies!" She knew they were going to be a difficult catch, but cats had done it before. She signals with her tail to come closer, "go around so you can get the when the remainders try and escape that way," she said.
Echoeyes looked a bit angered, "stay here," she said before parting the brush. She went and stared into the water like her sister not saying a word. Redwing look away. "I came here to work things out," she said finally.
"Echoeyes, we've been over this. Just give it time for us both to get over it," redwing replied seeming a bit aggravated.
Echoeyes tensed up, "well obviously that's not working!" She snapped,
"what do you mean? It's worked for me!" She said, her fur rising a bit along her spine.
"Well! It hasn't worked for me!" Echoeyes growled,
"Echoeyes!" She snapped, "we made the decision so long ago!"
"We? WE?!?! I didn't know until you forced me out of thunderclan along with you!" Her tone then got low and threatening, "don't think for a second that that was my decision as well."
"Well your happy here! Right?" She said in a fierce tone,
"Yes... no...I DONT KNOW'!"
"Well you should be! It's the way things are!"
"ITS NOT THE WAY THINGS ARE!" She yowled. Redwing quickly scratched Echoeyes across the face, Echoeyes shook herself off as a few droplets of blood fell to the ground. She sniffed a bit as tears formed in her eyes, the fur rising all over her body. Echoeyes looked at Redwings fierce face, it was beginning to change to sympathetic and sorry,
"Echoeyes, I'm sorry-"
Echoeyes ran back through the brush, "come Winehisper, we're going!" She said while looking at the ground.

Forest smiled happily and trotted next to Quietsong. "I guess my brown pelt and forest-y scents helped me hide from your clanmates." He purred, remembering all the times he sat in a tree watching his former enemies. "You know, I'm glad I decided to join you guys."
"Free. But life as a rogue is hard and I'll admit, as much as I hate to, that it can get pretty lonely." Silhouette began, intense blue eyes locked onto the Clan cat's. Most cats shied away from her gaze but she wanted this time to be different. "There's a lot of dangers for lone cats. If we get inured there's nobody to care for us." Silhouette finished, looking over at Poppy expectantly.

Smokefoot; The tom shortly followed Shadedfur, keeping low to the ground while making sure that he made as minimal noise as physically possible. He had scented a shrew, but the children were a complete surprise to him. Moving closer to her as he was signaled, he nodded at the instructions. "Will do," Smokefoot meowed in a whisper, stalking around to stop them. He positioned himself so he could jump any direction except for backwards. Just in case they did try to run around him, instead of to him. Looking up and in the direction of Shadedfur, he waited for her to make her move so he could make his.
Windwhisper; The silver she-cat looked stunned at the conversation, and her ears became droopy along with her tail. She didn't say a word to Echoeyes. But she did give a single nod, and was ready to follow her when she was ready to go. Does she not want to be in RiverClan? The thought gave Windwhisper a distressed feeling. Questions tore at her fur, begging to be asked. Yet she refused to open her mouth for the time being. But... If you're not in RiverClan, we can't be good friends, and you seem like a ni--That's selfish. If she doesn't want to be in RiverClan, let her go back to ThunderClan.
Quietsong; So am I... She nodded in agreement, a happy little pep joining her trot for a moment. Realizing that it was there, she quickly tried to hide her joy. But not even she could stop the purr in her throat, which very obviously gave it away. She looked down, her shoulders returning to their natural position. It seemed to be that she had lost the confident air that had surrounded her just seconds earlier. The moment they had exited the camp though, she didn't hesitate with her purring. Free of judgement from all of her clan mates, Quietsong finally let herself be happy.
Poppy; The Japanese Bobtail slowly looked up, feeling stares burn on her pelt. Staring a Silhouette for a moment, she sighed. Guess I really do have to answer... Well, here goes nothing. She looked right back down and gave her response. "It's... Terrifying at the least. You don't know who you can trust. Cats will attack you for trying to survive, and when they hide pretty well... It's easy to watch your life slip away from you. There's no one to help you escape enemies, or no one to tell you that it's okay when something absolutely terrible happens. You don't have a permanent home, or one that you can call safe in the slightest. As she said..." Poppy motioned to Silhouette. "There's no one to care for us when we get injured. Or maybe there are cats, but they just don't care. Clan cats think of you as disgusting, kittypets think you're wild and alley cats think you're not worth helping. Leaf-bares make you cold inside and wish that something would keep you warm. Or maybe they remind you of how hard life can be with a make-shift den. Just when you think you're dying, the season changes and you're forced to hunt while feeling like you'll collapse at any second. Now imagine that with the threat of death looming over your shoulders at every given moment. That's what it feels like to me." Poppy took a deep breath and stared downwards, shifting her paws uncomfortably. "It's just... Alone and scary."

Spiderfang met the rouges gaze as she spoke, not glancing away until Silhouette did. After they both finished Spiderfang looked at the two sadly, she knew that life on your own had to be rough, not knowing where your next meal was or what creature might be lurking to kill you at any given moment but to hear it from these two cats was sad. She gazed up at the sky, wondering what she should say before speaking. "I assumed that it would be hard but hearing it out of your mouths and the tone you speak from is saddening. I know that you probably have gotten used to life like this but I hope you find a place to call home, be it with a clan maybe or somewhere else." She mewed. She hadn't known the two for long but she felt bad about being so hostile to them now, they really hadn't meant any harm.

"Happy?" Forest asked Quietsong, aware of how different she was now than when he had first met her. I wonder why she's so happy now. Did she see her crush or loved one? Huh. With a shrug, he padded next to Quietsong.
Silhouette watched Poppy with wide-eyes as she spoke. Now it isn't that bad for me. I tend to enjoy being alone. She then turned to Spiderfang as the she-cat replied to both the loners. "I don't mind it out here too much. And I feel like I would get anxious in a Clan. There's a lot of cats aren't there?" She shivered at the thought of such a small space with so many cats. Everything else sounds nice... except for the cats.

Quietsong; She nodded quickly, staring up at him. I just can't always show it. I don't want to be seen as weak. She stayed close to him as they walked. I'm almost close enough to feel his fur... The thought warmed her, but Quietsong kept where she was in fear that getting any closer would be creepy.
Poppy; She looked at Spiderfang and gave only the smallest of smiles at her. She gave a slight nod in thanks. "Thank you..." She meowed quietly and tuning her head towards Silhouette as she talked. Well, maybe there are lots of cats. But that would mean more cats to defend you when you couldn't yourself. More cats means more food... Poppy thought, staring between them as she waited for the clan cat's response.

Poppy took a deep breath and stared downwards, shifting her paws uncomfortably. "It's just... Alone and scary." Shadedfur crouched lower, her dark pelt covered in the grass. She took a few more steps forward before letting out a yowl that seemed to have come more from a panther, or other large cat. She easily dived into the bush, the two full grown voles scattered out to the other side of the bush leaving their three little babies behind, Shadedfur easily killed two, leaving one for the wild, just in case it was old enough to survive. It seemed stupid to her at first, but if it did grow it would be future food for harder times, so she left it be. "Smokefoot," she yowled, "she picked up the two babies and leaped out the bush, a strong of thorns just barely scraping her shoulders. Shadedfur winced but quickly moved on from the quick pain. Echoeyes drooped her ears, she shook the blood dripping down her muzzle once more before speaking, "There's no way you didn't hear that," she said quietly while looking away, "look. It's not that I don't want to leave Riverclan, it's just that it all happened so fast and I never got a say in it. I guess Redwing thought it would be better for me to get away from the prying eyes and bullies of thunderclan from the way my eyes look. My mother, Cherryehisker used to say that I was lucky to be in thunderclan because of how understnaifn they were, but I was bullied anyway, only by kits and aprentices, and older warriors like my father, Copperjaw gave me tough love. I guess the siblings thought it'd be bet for me. They blamed me for it, so they moved back. I just miss them, and my heart belongs with my family. I know that! I'm just not sure..." She explained, "and my sister, Redwing plays it off like its nothing!" She howled. She looked away, tears forming in her eyes. She had promised that like her mother, she would always smile and be happy even during tough times, so she forced a happy sounding meow, "but it's alright. I love Riverclan! I wouldn't want to leave the cats here like you!"

Spiderfang nodded. "I understand, a lot of cats gets annoying sometimes but you don't always have to be around that many. You can have your own space when you feel like you need it." She told the two loners as her tail tip flicked back and forth. "Everyone gets there own space when they need it most of the time, you don't have to sleep in the warriors den if you don't want, I don't all the time. That's just one example though."

Forest glanced over at her and felt the need to move closer. He didn't dare do it in case she didn't want the same though. Instead he just smiled and continued forward. Soon he saw the large tree among many others that he had spent days and nights in. "Here we are." The former loner announced, pointing to the tree with his nose. It looked like all the others but to Forest it screamed 'home'. "That hollow-" He motioned to a hollow halfway up the tree, "- is where I slept and looked out to your clanmates." Ears turning hot, he looked over at Quietsong. "I remember seeing you a few times too. I thought you were really pretty and worth getting to know." Turning his head so his companion couldn't see him blush, Forest looked back to his former home. I'm going to miss it... Maybe I'll stay there some nights.
Silhouette nodded as Spiderfang finished. "That sounds okay then." She paused, thinking of what to say next. "I'm just used to being alone."

Smokefoot; He watched carefully, the shifts of movement passing him quickly. In an instant, he took a leap out from his hiding spot. The Siamese tom's claws stretched out before hitting the vole. Quickly trying to grasp onto the other one, he missed. But somehow, he hit the first one. Hissing in disapproval of his own hunting skills. Quickly killing the first vole, he looked in the direction of where the second one went. A quick assessment of the situation went right past him as he bolted into the forest, following it's scent. Stopping quickly, he realized that there was no way that he could catch up to it. Sighing, he began to trot back. "I can't believe I lost it..." He muttered, picking up the other vole that he had killed.
Windwhisper; She stared at her new friend with understanding eyes as she spoke. The moment she finished, Windwhisper began to nod. "Yes... I understand that. Teasing must be hard to deal with. I understand their reasoning behind what they've done. But I do agree with you in the sense that you should've gotten a say. Redwing shouldn't treat your worries like they're nothing, either. Your worries and your concerns should not be ignored. I know it must be hard to be away from family. But even so, there are difficult things in life that we must all learn to overcome. You can see them at the Gathering... I believe it's soon, too. I'm not qualified to tell you any of this, but this is just knowledge that I want to share with you. It's all going to be okay. But..." Windwhisper took a deep breath. "If it's worth anything, I'm glad you came to RiverClan. I know it sounds selfish, but if you weren't in RiverClan, I never would've gotten to be your friend. So at the very least... You got a new friend coming to RiverClan."
Poppy; The small cat nodded. "Besides, with more cats means more friends. More friends means more cats to defend you," She meowed. "And more food..." She added, flicking her stubby tail with a small purr of amusement. "And who doesn't like food?" She asked happily, with a joking tone in her voice. She wasn't one to usually joke, but being around these two didn't feel like she was going to die anymore. She felt more... Friendly in a sense.
Quietsong; She stopped, staring at the tree with large eyes. Gently padding towards it, she did notice the scent more. However, it was evident how cats could miss it. It was true what he had said. And his pelt must've helped, she would admit. Giving a small nod, she looked at him as he began talking again. Her face began to burn, along with her ears. Staring at him intently, her mouth began to open. Quietsong nearly vocalized her question, but before she did, her mouth snapped shut right before. If you wanted to know me... Why didn't you just come down and talk to me? I would've ta--No I wouldn't have... That's a lie. Giving a quiet sigh, Quietsong stared around at the home that he had lived in.

Shadedfur purred hapily, "nice catch!" She complimented while trotting over to Smokefoot. She titled her head sympathetically, tilting her ears back she touched her tail tip to the tom's shoulder. "Hey," she said in quieter, more soothing tone, "it's alright. We can't catch every peice of prey we find," she meowed. Shadedfur then glanced around, "wanna keep hunting? Or turn in?" She asked while closing her eyes.
Echoeyes felt a flutter of warmth jump wishing her, she perked up. "Hey. Don't worry about it! It was a long time ago," she said, "still bothers though." She then rubbed her cheek against the she cat's in order to show how happy, and appreciative of her new friend's words, "and. Thank you." She purred, "you're really the first real friend I've gotten to hang out with in a long time!" She said with a slight laugh. Feeling much better, Echoeyes suddenly bounded forward, "come on! Another crossing is this way!" She said excitedly.

"You can talk if you want to, you know. Nobody else is around." Forest whispered, pulling Quietsong close with his tail. His ears grew hot but he pushed the feelings of shyness and embarrassment away.

Smokefoot; The tom nodded quickly. "Yeah, I know. But it still would've been awesome if I had been able to catch it." He flicked his tail. "It's more of a pride thing than anything else." He puffed out his chest in mock pride. Giving a slight purr in amusement, he quickly realized that he was laughing at his own joke in a sense. Clearing his throat, Smokefoot awkwardly looked to the side. "But yeah. If you're tired, we can go in. But I can keep going!" He looked a lot more awake now, having caught a piece of prey and felt adrenaline under his fur.
Windwhisper; Giving a gentle purr, Windwhisper watched her friend start looking happier. "It's really all my pleasure. Being your friend is a honor." She gave a little bow, but looking up at Echoeyes with a playful look. Standing up straight, she giggled at her enthusiasm. Windwhisper nodded quickly. "Yeah... Let's go!" She purred happily.
Quietsong; She took Forest's words into consideration. She stared up at him and took a deep breath. I can do this. I can talk. They're not here anymore. You are no longer Co. You're Quietsong. Quietsong opened her mouth. "I--" A shudder ran down her body and memories came rushing over her like melted ice. Her talking quickly became silent as she trembled in fear, standing there and trying to breathe as terrible memories played back. No... Not again...

Forest's face lit up but fell as soon as Quietsong trembled in fear. I don't want to hurt her but I promised myself and Smokefoot I'd get her too. Pressing close to the she-cat, he licked her cheek. "It's okay." He murmured, rocking her back and forth. "It's just me. Nobody is here to harm you."

Quietsong; She shook her head quickly, staring up at him with absolutely terrified eyes. Half of her told her to run. The other half told her she was too weak to run and that she should probably just lie down and wait for the trembling to stop. Her heart kept thumping against her chest, but it sounded like it was in her ear. Taking shaky breaths, Quietsong kept reminding herself where she was, and that she wasn't there anymore.
