Shadedfur smiled and let out a slight laugh, before just purring. She stepped forward, "alright! Hunting it is!" She said. Shadedfur turned and placed the two baby voles inside a short hole made by some uprooted roots. She brushed some leaves over them before turning, "come on!, she yowled.
Echoeyes quickly reached the crossing of stepping stones, swiftly jumping onto the first rock which was oddly wide and flat. It was so weird! Windwhisper had made her happy so quickly, though she had been trying the Sam for about a year! Yep, the two had been fighting for a little less than a year. Windwhisper defiantly was diffrent than the others. Echoeyes turned and purred, swishing her tail happily.

"Shh, I didn't mean to make you upset. I'm so sorry." Forest curled around her, purring slowly. He remembered his mother doing this to calm him down when he was a kit so he assumed it would help with Quietsong. Someday she will speak. But for now she isn't ready... Though I do love what I heard. "You have a beautiful voice." Forest meowed, licking the top of her head.

Smokefoot; "Let's go!" He meowed happily. Smokefoot quickly buried his vole, and bolted after her. He was moving a lot faster now, and his muscles getting blood rushing through them. While he was running, he scented the air, tasting it for extra measures to see what was nearby. Then, he looked at his companion. Do you smell anything? You probably have a better nose than I do, I never really followed mine. It's a shock I passed apprenticeship.
Windwhisper; She followed Echoeyes, jumping onto the first rock. Windwhisper didn't take the time to balance herself, but instead jumped onto the other rock. Slipping from it, she didn't try to stop the act, knowing her claws were pointless compared to the rock. Falling into the water, Windwhisper quickly swam back up, keeping herself by the rock. Giving a purr of amusement, she looked at her friend with a smile. "Whoops."
Quietsong; She nodded slowly. Quietsong looked at Forest and pressed her face into his shoulder, breathing in his scent for a while. She just continued nodding, obviously slightly mortified. The trembling had stopped at this point and she was taking deep breaths. Attempting to push all the memories away from her, she let herself finally relax.

Shadedfur stopped, tasting the air and flicking her ears this way and that. She could smell a nice rabbit nearby. She moved her ears to face where the scent seemingly came from. She focused her bright green eyes on the area and eventually spotted the little mammal nibbling on a daisy. Shadedfur went into a stalking crouch, moving forward. She stopped as the rabbit looked directly at her, fox dung! she thought to herself with a pang of announce. well, no time to spare now! she thought before letting out a menacing growl and leaping at the rabbit, she was just a second to late as the rabbit jumped into action and escaped her claws. Shadedfur scrunched her nose up before snuffing. She wouldn't give up this easily! She darted after the rabbit. She knew that running was more of her brother, lightningfoot's specialty, not hers, but she had to try. She was still to slow as the rabbit darted into a small burrow. Shadedfur huffed and shook herself off.
Echoeyes let out a laugh, "are you alright?" she jumped elegantly to the next rock, her paws somehow gripped pretty well. Echoeyes slowed in order to have Windwhisper catch up again, "these rocks are sure slippery huh?!" She then got an idea and began to growl playfully, "it'd be a shame if someone fell IN!" She yowled before bumping Windwhisper back off into the water, where there was less of a current with her flank.

Forest stroked his tail along Quietsong's back in an effort to comfort her even further. "Whatever you went through must have been horrible... but your clanmates are here to protect you now. I'm here to protect you now."

(( Sorry for the late responses! I was really busy. ))
Smokefoot; He watched her run and hunt carefully. Observing her was harder, because he wasn't one for running either. He was more for strength and fighting. However, he managed to keep up to her. Smokefoot studied Shadedfur's movements to use for his own practices. Although she lost the rabbit, he nodded quickly, jumping down from the tree he was watching from. "That was a good hunt. You almost got it!" He meowed, staring at the burrow. "It's just... Fast. But most rabbits are, it can be quite annoying sometimes."
Windwhisper; "Of course." The she-cat crawled back on the rock, shaking off her pelt. "What warrior would I be if I wasn't?" She questioned jokingly. Windwhisper nodded. "Talk about it. I rarely fal--" The silver cat got abruptly cut off as she was pushed into the water. After a yowl of terror, she took a gulp of air to go under. Surfacing, she gave a purr of amusement. "I have to admit, even though I was the one getting pushed in, that was a pretty good one," Windwhisper purred, staring at Echoeyes with happy eyes.
Quietsong; She gave a gentle nod at first, but then stopped herself. They couldn't take them. I love them to death... But... They're ruthless. Bloodthirsty, even... It was terrible, you're right about that... But they can't protect me... Only I can protect myself. It's always been like that, with everything... Quietsong sighed, shaking her head and hanging it in the process.

"You don't think I, the strongest and bravest cat in all the territories, can protect you?" Forest meowed in feint shock. He stuck his arm out and pretended to show off his muscles. I hope I can get her to at least smile. I want her to feel better.

Quietsong; She sighed. No. I do not. She gave a slight roll of her eyes at his arrogant answer. Quietsong gave a slight smile up at him, but shook her head. Her look became kind of playful after that, as it had seemed that all of her fear had melted away, at last.

Quietsong; Her face quickly turned hot, and Quietsong stared at him with a shocked expression. But that shock slowly melted away to reveal elation. The mute cat quickly shook her head, rubbing against his cheek with her own cheek quickly, a gentle purr coming from her throat.

She then sniffed the air, her whiskers quivering, "there's so much life here!" She then paused, seemingly afriad, "how far away are we from camp?" She asked, "I-I think I smell something foul, like fox or...badger maybe? Dont you smell it?" Echoeyes let out a mur-row of laughter before reaching a paw down and splashing Windwhisper. Echoeyes purred before taking a step forward and jumping to the next rock. Echoeyes slipped and hot the rock with a thud, her head went into the water for a split second before she scrambled up. She blinked a few times in confusion before shaking herself off and looking over at Windwhispe, still trying comprehend what just happened.

Forest grew surprised at Quietsong's affection. A purr of his own bubbled in his throat and he pressed against his companion. "Feeling better?" He asked, still purring loudly.

Smokefoot; He gave a slight shrug of his shoulders. "It's just a practice thing. I'm not all that good at speed, either," Smokefoot admitted, gently nudging her in understanding. He watched her find scents, and then looked around. "I believe that we got quite a while away from camp. However, if you smell fox or badger, we should probably tell Snowstar. I very vaguely smell it. But my nose isn't the greatest."
Windwhisper; The other she-cat had just gotten back onto the rock, shaking her fur off, droplets of water splashing everywhere. She had watched the scene go down and gave a cringe. That aught to have hurt. Majestically leaping over to the rock, she managed to keep her ground. "Are you alright?! That looks like you could've gotten hurt." Windwhisper looked over Echoeyes with wide eyes that screamed worry.
Quietsong; She nodded quickly, staring up at him with pleased eyes. There was still a gentle rumble in her throat. Quietsong was very obviously happy at this point, marking a very fast recovery from the remembered memories that she wished to forget. She stayed close to Forest though, even though it wasn't cold.

Shadedfur from a step forward, "yeah...we should check it out...you know from a far," she said sounding curious and distant, "this way!" She said while crouching low.
Echoeye eyes blinked a few more times, the last focused on Windwhisper, "fine," she said while gazing into the she cat's eyes, "I'm alright, I've got a thick pelt," she said while heading herself up. way to impress you new friend, mouse brain! she scolded herself, this whole patrol has been a hot mess! Echoeyes wearily, slowly, and painfully made her way across, "come on!" She said with a purr, trying to hide her embarrassment.

Smokefoot; He grew uncertain with the plan as soon as she said it. He knew they couldn't take on a fox. However, if she was comfortable with tracking something like that down, he trusted her. Smokefoot was willing to help on any way possible. Following her quickly, he kept his senses sharp.
Windwhisper; She honestly didn't notice the falling, barely. She knew that it happened often. In fact, earlier she had fallen. Windwhisper looked at her friends with warm eyes. She nodded. "C'mon, let's keep moving!" She meowed excitedly, jumping over to shore.
Quietsong; She nodded quickly, excited to see his old home. Quietsong looked at the tree, gently strutting over without a sound made on the ground.

Forest padded right behind Quietsong and leaped onto the tree with incredible force. As he made his way up the tree he was thrown into memories of his past. It hadn't been the best; his father had abandoned his mother and him and Forest's siblings were all dead. Except for one. I wonder where she is now... No matter. Clearly my past isn't as terrible as some... The former loner looked down at Quietsong and felt a pang of sorrow. She didn't deserve to go through that. Nobody does. Without realizing where he was going, Forest found himself inside his old hollow. Moss covered the floor and some vines and leaves covered the opening. Forest had built the covering himself to prevent any wind from flowing in. Smiling, he gestured to his home with his paw. "This is - was - my home."

Shadedfur walked forward, half in a stalk and half trotting. She followed the scent, stupping into a bush about three minutes of walking. She looked out and saw the mangy creature across the clearing. She took a sharp breath in, her eyes went windened. All her muscles tensed as she saw the creature, her fur rising along her spine, "yep. defiantly a fox," she said as fear and curiosity filled and overwhelmed her voice.
Echoeyes sighed with relief, she felt warmth and happiness being with Windwhisper, "come on! Let's follow the river up this way. Then we can cros over and just travel the border until we round back around to a crossing closer to camp." She said happily, "race ya to the big bolder on the bank of the river!" She called before taking off gracefully.

Spiderfang smiled at that comment, noddding her head with a small chuckle. "Yes, more food is one of the best things about a clan." She meowed, agreeing with the shecats joke. "Though having to pick ticks off the elders gets quite tiresome when your an apprentice, I couldn't wait to be done with that task when I was an apprentice." She joked around, remembering how much she wanted to learn battle training.

Quietsong; She had watched him jump up, not as impressed as she should've been at the powerful leap. Quietsong shortly followed, climbing up in. She looked around with such an awed look. She was so used to the ThunderClan camp, but this wasn't as big. It seemed more homey to her somehow. But that may just have been that it had Forest's scent on it. Quietsong looked around, and had a small smile. It's really nice in here... I would be able to live here. She gave a quiet nod, looking pleased to be there.
Smokefoot; As he followed her, his nervousness grew. The scent of fox became more evident to him. Giving an uncertain, quiet growl, he began to felt more like his sister. He was being the quiet one, not the talkative one like he usually was. But he realized that as he became quieter, his senses became more aware. Smokefoot thought about it for a few seconds, but then when the fox came into the picture, his fur became a fluff ball. Giving out a quiet growl, his tail lashed. "Now we should really get a patrol to check it out. We already know there's one; Gathering cats should be easy. We really shouldn't take it on our own, either."
Windwhisper; "Ooh..." Windwhisper's competitive spirit suddenly made a reappearance for the first time in a while. She bolted, her legs moving quickly. Her legs were actually very strong from swimming. Her eyes narrowed, eyes on the prize at the end of the day. Windwhisper eventually got to the bolder and collapsed dramatically, panting. "Dear woe, I'm dying."
Poppy; Poppy gave a purr of amusement, growing warm to the cats around her. After all, neither attacked her. And they both seemed fairly nice. The thought that she was going to have to leave both of them at one point saddened her slightly. She would even have been willing to befriend the cats. She probably will never want to see a weakling like me again that she'd have to defend... And she's a clan cat... Her ears drooped slightly, but she tried to perk them up again. Unfortunately, she couldn't do it very well. "That does sound torturous, I'm glad I never had to do that. Clans must be so weird with all those chores to do instead of just hunting and fighting," The Japanese Bobtail commented sweetly, giving a soft smile.

Shadedfur seemed way to interested in the ferrel creature. She was about to take another step forward before freezing and shaking herself off, "Y-yeah! You're right, let's go." She said before baking out of the brush. Shadedfur went back into an almost perfect if it weren't for one hind leg sticking up a bit more than the other, though she played it off like she knew what she was doing."but, quietly," she whispered.
Echoeyes finished a fox length behind her, only a bit out of breath. Echoeyes let out a purr, "don't on me yet!" She meowed. Echoeyes then went over and leaned against Windwhisper, "here, lean on me so you don't collapse or anything. We can get some water," she said calmly and kindly. Her breathing had slowed and was smooth again. "You grow to be able run far and fast at a younge age when you live with two, no, three including my uncle, Mudpool, cats who absolutely love to run." She explained with a slight laugh as she looked back on fond memories.

Silhouette's eyes widened in surprise for a split second before they went back to normal. "So you care for your elders? Interesting." She murmured, half to herself. Elders always have to care for themselves out here... Most of them are tougher than anycat can imagine. But some die because they're too old to care for themselves any longer.
Forest closed his eyes and lied down. The moss surrounded him and it felt like home. I could fall asleep right now. But I shouldn't. Forest motioned to Quietsong with his tail, telling her to come closer.

Smokefoot; He stared at her with suspicious eyes. "You know we can't just attack it, right?" He questioned quietly. He had seen the look she was sending the large creature. And he didn't like it. Smokefoot silently crept away from the fox, careful not to make a single sound. "It's too dangerous, either one of us could be killed," He whispered. I can't leave Quietsong yet, either. She really would be mute for the rest of her life.
Windwhisper; Pressing against her friend, she gave a purr of amusement. "Yes, please. A drink would be amazing. I'm not dying yet, but my StarClan I need to work on my endurance." Windwhisper meowed with laughter in her voice. Taking deep breaths, she listened to her friend. "Oh, that makes sense. Because you were so fast. I mean, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it for a while there!"
Quietsong; Quietsong trotted over, staring at her companion, only slightly confused. Although, she was happy to be closer. But she wasn't quite sure why.

Quietsong; She looked at him, nodding slowly. She went in a circle once, and lied down. Quietsong curled into a ball, hiding under her paws and tail. It was a strange way to sleep, but somehow it helped her. She had one paw over her eyes, and her tail on her head. She just tried to block everything else. It was a natural reaction when she lied down.

Shadedfur jumped as the fox turned to look in their direction, "no talk about attacking it now! Come on!" She hissed quietly before pushing him forward. The fox looked away once more, not seemingly caring at the moment. Shadedfur moved quickly, taking one last unsure glance at the predator before the fox went out ofher sight.
Echoeyes brought her to the bank and crouched down slowly, leading the other she cat to the ground before she lay down, "here," she meowed. Echoeyes eyes crouched her self taking a few laps of water, but she sat up quickly, "you know. I could always help you get your endurance up in no time," she suggested, "and you can teach me something I don't know. Like training!" She said happily. Echoeyes then slumped back down, "that is, if you want."

Smokefoot; As he got pushed, he fell quiet and focused on silence. It was surprisingly not hard for him to do. He kept his eyes on the ground, making sure he wasn't going to step on something. However, Smokefoot moved surprisingly fast considering this fact. He jumped over anything in his way, and managed to stay, for the most part, quiet. He took deep breaths to refocus himself, and always looked at Shadedfur to make sure that she was there.
Windwhisper; Bowing her head and drinking water as if she had not had it in moons, she turned her ears towards Echoeyes so she knew that she was listening. Windwhisper lifted her head, shaking it slightly to let the drops of water still on her muzzle go. "That'd actually be great. My mentor was a perfectionist. The technique I have down, but the endurance and ability to do it all at once lacks. Besides, training with you would be so much fun!" She meowed, her voice laced with excitement.

Shadedfur elegantly leaped on top of the log a few minuets later, she turned and half smiled, "wait till Snowstar and the others hear about the fox," she then went serious as if she was remembering something from long ago. She then cleared her throat and went serious, her voice sounding more grown up and serious, "come on," she said before swiftly jumping back down, and soon after she jumped over the brush aswell, making it to the thorn bush barrier of Thunderclan.
Echoeyes puffed up with excitement, "great! This will be so fun!" She meowed happily. Echoeyes purred, "we need to focus on the patrol first. Oh! If any cat find out about how horribly I took this patrol!" She stressed. Echoeyes decided to change her mood and be happy once more. She shook her pelt out once more before getting up, "need help getting back up?" She asked.
