Raventwist had to think about that one for a moment. He remembered not having many friends as a kit and even less so as an apprentice. While these feelings had been quelled as he got older and found a steady place as a warrior, he had to admit that he got lonely sometimes. "I suppose I do occasionally. But I'd assume that all cats would. It's natural to wonder if you're where you're meant to be or who you're meant to be with." Raventwist chuckled and looked at her, "Is that sufficiently philosophical? I sound like an elder."

No problem c: And if you're talking about Rainstar and Lynxstep then I agree, in moon terms there's a big gap but in reality it's only a year and a quarter difference between them which really isn't much. ]] So most everyone thinks Rainstar and Lynxstep would be perfect for each other? Or am I interpreting this wrong? XD ] (Ah, I meant Cloudedpaw and Lynxstep, oops! I'm sure Rainstar and Lynxstep would be very nice together too, though!) |

Raventwist fought back another frown, keeping his expression as warm as he could while he recalled his littermate. "I did, but, sadly, she didn't live past her third moon. Her name was Swallowkit. She was an incredible talker, and quite smart for her age. She actually used to talk for the both of us. Unfortunately, she died after a bout with greencough."

Rainstar didn't notice Stormfire approaching her as she was lost in thoughts, deciding which warrior names would suite who. She flicked her ears, hearing familiar paws pad closer. She sat up, blinking to clear the thoughts before she faced who she noticed to be her deputy, Stormfire. "Stormfire?" She flicked her tail, wondering what he had to say. "Is anything wrong? Your patrol was supposed to be back earlier and I noticed Badgerstripe looked a bit exhausted in the shade as well as Lynxstep. |

"Well" Stormfire looked up at Rainstar, "We kind of came across a fox while we were hunting. it attacked Badgerstripe so I stayed with Badgerstripe and thanks to Lynxstep, he chased the fox out of the territory." He added, "Unfortunately I found the burrow that would most likely belong to the fox we an into. We are not sure if the fox will come back. So I was thinking of sending out extra patrols around the border or?" HE stopped waiting for Rainstar's opinion.

Paleheart snaps his teeth closed against the blackberry leaves; giving them a quick tug, he places the mouthful next to his paws in the loose piles of herbs, some meshed together from all his collecting. Ear twitching, he nearly grins at his successful harvest of herbs, uninterrupted by any stray prey or curious Clan members.
"Too many bees," he mumbles to himself, glad no other cat is around to hear him. "Too many bees in this territory, always have to get more blackberry leaves..."

Rainstar turned her attention to the forest, rather the unforgiving forest. She didn't sound surprised as probably Stormfire would've expected her to be. "Was the fox a male with a missing eye?" Her tail swayed behind her as she turned her attention back to Stormfire, her gaze locking with his, but a slightly worried glint to her own. "And most importantly, is every cat alright?" She studied his expression. "Is it something I need to see for myself?" She pointed that question towards the burrow part.

Eager to get away from all of the apprentice nonsense, he picked himself up losing his appetite after all of that. He flicked his tail, eyes scanning the clearing for his apprentice. Although an irritable tom, Redfur had humor and was a valuable member of the clan in terms of strength, maybe not so much brains though. |

Raventwist answered her apology. It was easier to accept grief from others when they weren't the same cats who had practically asked 'why couldn't it have been Ravenkit?' when his sister died. And hearing about Troutkit let him accept her pity even more. Hearing about Ferntail's sister, however, made him curious, even if it was quite inappropriate. "Is she? I assume you're uncomfortable telling me who?" He asked softly, figuring that she wouldn't want other cats hearing. |
