"They are ferocious beasts. I wouldn't wish them upon my worst enemy. This is always a dangerous border to patrol. It's the most likely to carry dogs, as well as wandering kittypets and other cats outside the clan who could attempt to bring us harm. We're lucky with each day that a patrol returns to camp unharmed," Ebonysong explained to her apprentice and the three of them continued on with their own patrol. Soon enough the entire border with the Twolegplace had been refreshed and she continued on. "It looks like we're done here. Let's go back to camp," she said with a flick of her tail and she continued on.

(Jump in wherever you're comfortable. The patrol has moved on a little, but you can still pop in! Dawnwarbler is still there after all cx)
Ebonysong halted midstep as she saw Winterpaw's target. She took a few careful steps back and signaled with her tail for Dawnwarbler to do the same. She gave a brief nod to Winterpaw to show that she was allowing her to finish off the hunt, and kept her eyes and ears attentive. She had trained her apprentice a few times in stalking in the forest, but this would be her first time performing a hunt without some recent practice. All she could do was wait and see how the white she-cat would perform.

[[ Ok thank you! Hmm, I noticed that Winterpaw had scented a rouge earlier so I was thinking maybe it could possibly hint at being Lichen? She probably wouldn't appear right away but it could just reference to that in the future that she's close. ]]
Dawnwarbler had followed the warrior and apprentice along, making her comments every now and then as she felt needed. As they were currently hunting, she decided to go off herself to see if anything was nearby. "Well I'm going to try and see if there's something around here. Have fun hunting, and good luck Winterpaw." She briskly meowed before she slipped off in a different direction away from them. Once a bit away the black she-cat paused for a moment and took note on her surroundings. The nearest scent she could catch was a bird, so we went off towards that. Not long after Dawnwarbler noticed a thrush nearby some foliage. Lowering to a hunter's crouch, she quietly stalked towards the oblivious bird. When it moved it's head, she froze. Once the thrush went back to whatever it was doing, she advanced once more. When she was close enough, quick as an adder, she pounced on the bird. She quickly dispatched it with a quick nip at it's neck and lifted it up in her jaws. Her amber eyes looked around for a moment before she padded off to search for Ebonysong and Winterpaw again. It wasn't long until she found them again. Being careful not to disturb them, Dawnwarbler stayed where she was and watched patiently.

Ebonysong had acknowledged Dawnwarbler's brief departure with a nod. She was more focused on watching her apprentice's performance. She made sure to take note of everything that was flawed, and once the kill was made, she rose to her paws. "Nice catch, both of you," she praised as she had noticed Dawnwarbler return not long after her departure. She turned back to her apprentice and flicked her tail. "That was...good Winterpaw," she chose her words carefully. "You made the kill, after all, and every bit of prey is helpful to our clan. However, you need to be lighter on your paws. And while you must focus, try not to be too focused. That's how you forget about your surroundings and alert the prey of your presence. That's how you almost lost this little guy. But, I can see you're improving. As any apprentice, you just need more practice. Let's get going," she smiled and rested her tail tip briefly on her apprentice's shoulder before beckoning to them both and leading the way back.
(Sure Fallen. Anything and everything is welcome to add a bit of plot in the mix cx)

Ashpaw sheathed his claws as well, stalking slowly around his mentor knowing very well the dangers of rushing into a fight without thinking. Had he rushed directly at his mentor, the warrior could have easily sidestepped his charge and retaliated. A risky move like that could easily get him killed if he wasn't careful. Of course, he also knew that thinking too hard on how to handle scenarios could also prove fatal which is why he limited himself from spending more than a few heartbeats without acting. Using the speed he had gained from dealing with his fleet-footed mentor, the dark gray tom did a short hop forwards before darting in towards his Haretooth, slipping beneath him and aiming to land a blow on the warrior's exposed belly and dart out of range before the older tom could recover.
Russetfeather was pleased by the she-cat's silence which left him to enjoy his meal in peace. He had savored each bite of his succulent bird and thanked Starclan for its life that would fill his empty morning stomach. He was quite disappointed once he had consumed the final edible bite and was left with no choice but to bury the remains. Part of him yearned to sniff through the pile for something else to gorge himself one, but he knew better than to take extra prey before he brought anything back. Part of him wished he could go out into the forest and attempt to capture another raven himself. He was confident in his ability to catch forest prey, but he knew that such an idea wouldn't be as welcome considering he was a River Glider and was expected to work alongside the sources of water within the territory. Slightly disgruntled, the russet tom set to grooming his face clean of the "leftovers" that had been left behind on his muzzle.

"Thank you." Dawnwarbler replied—or rather attempted to reply. It sounded more muffled having a bird in her jaws. Her ears twitched attentively as she listened to Ebonysong make a few pointers to her apprentice. She found herself nodding her head in agreement to what she said. Soon she found herself following the two she-cats out again and heading back to camp. Once they arrived she set her thrush down on the pile. Nice little addition to the pile. She thought proudly, a bit smug almost in a teasing way. The black she-cat couldn't help but overhear Winterpaw and the comment made her chuckle. "Well I'll leave you two be then." She meowed before turning away and padding off to her own means.
[[ Alright cool. Plots are always fun especially shippings haha cx So now Dawnwarbler is open again. Anyone wish to rp? All my characters are available~ ]]

Haretooth had remained alert, his eyes never leaving Ashpaw as he watched what his apprentice planned to do. He noted that at least he wasn't stupid, making sure not to just charge right at him as almost every apprentice makes the mistake of doing at least once. He watched as Ashpaw came at him, a similar motion to how the warrior might've attacked himself back in his training days. He grunted as he felt his exposed belly get struck and he was impressed by Ashpaw's growing speed. However, as an experienced warrior, he was still faster. His forepaw quickly slammed down on Ashpaw's spine before he could slip out of range. Haretooth growled and threw his weight on top of him, biting into the back of his neckfur and tugging but not hard enough to break skin or actually wound him.
Ebonysong had led the way back to camp and with a wave of her tail and a nod she bid farewell to Dawnwarbler. She turned back to her apprentice and tilted her head questioningly. "Hm...Well I suppose the day is still young. We could start now, if you'd like. But we'd only be able to get a small amount of training in today," she responded.
(Yes Fallen xD we could still rp together, if you'd like, with different cats of course. I have...Alder and Sniper open right now if you're interested.)

(Be careful of the length of your posts c: )
Ebonysong nodded and turned towards the entrance to the camp. She paused for a moment. "Do you want to eat something before we go out? Or would you rather wait until we get back?" she asked, looking back at her apprentice. She didn't think that the training would take very long, but she didn't know how hungry Winterpaw might be at this time. After all, the patrol had taken some time.

Sniper was trotting along the PinceCLan border, slinking beneath the shadows. He had always lurked nearby, but he never had any motivation to cross unless he saw a lone cat or patrol, well, patrolling. He didn't like confrontation, but clan life itself seemed...fascinating. Not for him, though. That's why he stayed where he was, across the border and respecting them. While imaginary lines meant nothing to him, one rogue challenging a group of cats would be pretty stupid. Regardless, that didn't stop him from pushing those borders a little just for fun.
The black warrior nodded, watching as her apprentice scurried off to pick up something to eat. Ebonysong had settled down to groom while she waited for her apprentice. Once she heard Winterpaw return, she looked up from the burr she was trying to untangle in her fur and rose to her paws again. "Satisfied?" she asked with a purr of amusement. She turned towards the camp entrance and padded to the tunnel, slinking through and veering to the right. She padded through the forest and headed towards the Pine Grove.

Lichen was nearby the Pineclan borders and unbeknownst at the moment, she was nearby the rouge Sniper. She had caught the scent of the borders a few sunrises ago and had been curious about them ever since; however, she was very cautious about them. There were a few instances where she scented a group of cats, like earlier today, so she made sure she was a reasonable distance away from them. Numbers were definitely not in her favor and didn't want to deal with any confrontation. The loner could have tried to find away around by now but she found she couldn't, feeling guilty in knowing that she was curious. It had been a long time since she came across other cats. She would pass by some occasionally, but even that was rare. Lichen was walking along quietly until the noticed something move in the shadows from the corner of her eyes. Immediately alert she lowered herself to a crouch and crawled a bit to hide among to foliage. Her dark green gaze furrowed as she began to piece what she was seeing. What was a rouge doing around here?

Sniper had continued on, not noticing he was being watched at that moment. Funny, considering he was the one who usually did the watching. It was rare that anyone would spot him. He still slipped through, scanning across the border to see if any PineClan cats were out and about. Snorting, he turned away and slid between two thorn bushes after no scents or sounds were carried to his perked ears.
