« Introduction
"Sharpstar, we have a visitor at the Northern border." A grey tabby tom with marbled whiskers and a black nose approaches the leader, lowering his head slightly. "Why haven't you taken care of it? I don't have all day to gossip." Sharpstar turned his burning gaze away from the busying clan below the high-cliff and over to the slope where Aspenclaw stood. "Should I go--" Sharpstar cut the tom off with a wave of his tail and bounded down the high-cliff's slope, dislodging small stones as he landed on the pine needle covered ground. "I'll see to it myself Aspenclaw." Giving his clan-mate a quick nod, Sharpstar disappeared through the low overhang of brambles and thickets; making his way towards the Northern border. « • • • « Bounding soundlessly over the dew frosted forest cover, he kept his senses alert, stopping occasionally to inspect certain things. He didn't take kindly to strangers, and more often than not challenged them as a way to prove his strength to other cats. However, despite this nature, he tends to his clan as if they were his kin; some of them are. He slowed to a settled walk, chest heaving slightly and his muscles rippling under his brown marbled fur. Much like Aspenclaw, both cat's had inherited their markings from the same father, though different mothers. Their father was Oakclaw, a brave warrior who died in the last battle. He halted at the border, and lifted his snout to the air to inspect the scents hidden behind the pine smell.
Approaching from under a shadow, you inspect the cat standing in front of you, narrowing your eyes thoughtfully. "Is this Pineclan?"

« Territory
PineClan's territory is nestled deep within a coniferous forest, filled with towering pines and thin undergrowth. A springy carpet of pine needles rests under-paw, and fungi are quite common, stemming out of the soil. Because there is a lack of nutrients in the dirt, not much undergrowth is able to grow, except ferns and mosses. In the heart of the forest sits a meadow, where the camp is hidden in a steep-walled ravine. Wildflowers dot this meadow and it's the only place in the territory where real, soft grass grows.
Camp
The camp is nestled between two massive walls of a sloping gorge with bright green shrubs and thickets lining to protect the gorge border. The camp as all the main dens nestled within their own stone lined caves.
The leaders den is positioned near the top of the gorge on the sloped side with a trail leading up to it, the den has an ivy cover and a small stream that runs from the crack in the wall to the back of the cave where it creates a filtered pool of water.
The warriors den is similar to the leaders den in terms of position. It's just slightly lower and on the opposite side of the wall from the leaders den. It has bramble thickets lining around it and bright yellow flowers. (Buttercups)
The apprentices den is on then floor of the g0rge, therefore it doesn't require much protection. The apprentices have a warmer den, lined with moss.
The elder's den is similar to the apprentices den. The elder's den is also on the bottom, well protected, and is warmly lined with moss.
The nursery is positioned just under the warriors den and is protected by thorn thickets and brambles. Inside, it has warm moss and feathers lining the stone floor.
Landmarks
Old Cabins - The scattered remains of long-abandoned twoleg nests, the thatch roofs decaying and giving off a dank, musty stench, and the stone walls crumbling. There were once four of them, but now one is just a pile of rubble, the other three getting closer and closer to this fate. However despite the danger of collapsing walls and ceilings, mice and rats flock here, plump with the food they find nearby, and herbs grow around the nests. It is a valuable yet dangerous place to collect resources.
The Ancient Larch - The tallest tree in PineClan territory, a larch tree that towers over the rest of the forest. Its trunk is at least two and a half fox-lengths around, with its branches sturdy enough to hold multiple cats. Because of old age, its bark has grown thick, soft and gnarled, with many foot-holds for cats to climb, although it's discouraged to go too high. No apprentice is allowed to climb unsupervised, because it can be quite dangerous.
Turtle Creek - A creek that runs through PineClan territory, known for the many turtles that make their home in the calm waters. The shores are pebbly and covered in stones, dotted with patches of reeds. The creek itself is shallow enough in some places for cats to wade across, but in other places it's deep enough for swimming.
Deer Paths - A system of well-beaten paths through the forest that deer often use to navigate. These are popular hunting paths for the Clan, as the strong deer-scent covers their own.
Old Badger Den - A dug-out den among the roots of a large pine tree, once belonging to a large badger that the Clan drove out many seasons ago.
The Hollow Tree - A hollowed-out trunk of a great pine tree, where cats come to sleep to speak with their warrior ancestors.
Stillwater pool - A pond of crystal clear water that perfectly reflects the world above it. Medicine cats come here to share tongues with the warrior ancestors.
Training Ground
Training Hollow - A clearing in the pine forest, surrounded by a wall of brambles and ferns. The ground is hard-packed and covered in a springy carpet of dead pine needles, dotted with wild dandelions. This is a popular place for cats to train their apprentices, or simply spar to sharpen their skills.
« Cat Characteristics
These cat's have slender frames for agility and usually sleek coats for swimming in the streams. Many of the cats in Pineclan inherit marbled markings or tabby markings for disguising themselves among the brush and trees of the territory. Pineclan cat's can be described as solitary, secretive, and non-social due to their cautious attitude towards other cats.

« Allegiances
Leader(s) [2/2]
» Sharpstar - Leader - Tom - 43 Moons
- A dark grey tom with black stripes placed unevenly throughout his back, trickling onto his white laced tail. Sharpstar has long bristly whiskers and a somewhat sleek coat of fur. He stands at the average height for a warrior and shows off a muscular build and his eyes are hickory based with traces of dark brown. Sharpstar has an intimidating demeanor, as well as a frame. He tends to gravitate towards order and strength within the clan. Sharpstar insists on every cat pulling his/her weight around camp and ensures that it gets done himself. However, he does show a soft spot for kits and his mate, hoping to have some in the future. [Rainshimmer22]
» Deerstar - Leader - Female - 39 moons
- Named after her soft brown color and white marble-like pattern across her pelt, Deerstar has long, soft fur, with a small but feathery tail and vivid green eyes, which tend to strike anyone who makes eye contact with her. The feline has a small frame, which is very agile and flexible, giving her an odd sense of prowess in both hunting and fighting despite not having the obvious muscular build that most cats do. She holds a more motherly figure within the clan, caring about each and every cat that joins, and is more often than not described as the polar opposite of her mate, Sharpstar. Deerstar bears a high level of grace, patience, and gentleness to her clan, choosing to think over matters rather than act irrationally, and she tends to be highly forgiving of those who have done wrong. However, despite her caring personality towards her clan, the she-cat shows no mercy towards those who have brought harm towards them, such as a rival clan or intruder within their territory. Her brother is Silkwhisper. [foxtrots]
Deputy
» Foxlight – Deputy – She-cat - 29 Moons - Foxlight is a thin long legged she cat with teasing nature. Her eyes are a soft blue that seem to have a thousand and one thoughts in them. She has short soft ginger fur, with a russet color on her ears and along her back in splotches. Foxlight is well known for being light on her feet, which is where she got the suffix -light. Foxlight struggles to accept her own failure, and hates it when others point out her flaws. She is generally good natured, and often will hide her feelings about other cats for the sake of avoiding an argument. Foxlight loves to poke fun at other cats, but always in a friendly manner, she tries her best to never cross the line between being humorous and being demeaning of others. Foxlight tries to rationalize everything, even what StarClan tells them. She can't accept when something goes against logic and gets annoyed when others simply accept something odd that shouldn't have happened. She’s a perfectionist that likes to keep everything in order, but rarely has a plan of action as she prefers to rely on her quick wit and in the moment decisions. She takes her role as deputy very seriously and is always doing her best to look out for the clan. [lordclover]
Medicine Cat(s) [2/2]
Leafrain - Medicine Cat - She-cat - 28 Moons
- Leafrain is small she-cat with a sleek black pelt that quite frequently seems to have small bits of crushed herb stuck to it. Save for a small white smudge on her nose Leafrains' pelt is completely black. Her eyes are a dark luminous shade of green and the reason for her name. Leafrain is far from the constantly kind healer that her own mentor was. It's not to say that she is rude or snappy, but she establishes boundaries and is firm with them. If she tells a cat to rest they will rest or suffer the consequence of her sharp tongue and any other boundaries or actions she sees fit to ensure their recovery. When not dealing directly with her job Leafrain can be far more light hearted, joking and at times even a little teasing. So long as you are not a risk to her patients or clan you have nothing to fear from Leafrain. [Reminscence]
Berrywhisker - Medicine cat - Tom - 27 Moons
- Berrywhisker is a long legged tom with dark brown fur with marbled tabby markings, some of his markings breaking up into dots instead of solid black. He has a cream colored underbelly and cream flecks on his muzzle. He has rounded ears with black tufts on them with a short tail that is about half of the length of a normal tail. He has heterochromatic eyes, one a dark blue the other a dark green. He has a scar running from his hip to the bottom of his paw from a fox attack when he was younger, leaving that leg essentially useless. The tom is a rather sharp type, not sympathetic to patients who don't display severe pain. He is quiet, organized, and rather short tempered. Once you get to know him he is actually a big softie, and he has a huge heart and the tendency to get attached to other cats, which is why he hides his personality with a sour disposition. [Sweetclover1]
Warriors
» Redfur - Warrior - Tom - 32 Moons
- A red brown furred tom with light amber eyes and one white sock on his front left paw. His fur is short and tufts of fur sprout from various places such as his cheeks and ears, like a lynx. Redfur has a soft spot for kits and tends to be a bit stern at times although he's become quite the "kittypet" [Rainshimmer22]
» Cinderflight – Warrior – She-cat – 23 Moons - Mischievous and adventurous describe Cinderflight the best. Cinderflight is a fairly confident warrior, but always worries that she isn’t pulling her weight in the clan. She gets stressed easily during patrols, especially if most of the patrol is spent on the forest floor. Cinderflight must catch as much prey as the other warriors when on hunting patrols, if she doesn't she usually ends up sulking for the rest of the day. She feels most at home in the trees, and often will go out of her way just to be able to spend a hunting patrol in the treetops. Her soft gray fur blends in nicely against the shadows cast by the leaves above her, and although the bottom of her muzzle and neck is white, she refuses to accept that she might be able to hide better in the grass. Her tabby markings are just a shade darker than her gray fur, and are almost indistinguishable in broad daylight. Her eyes are a bright amber. [lordclover]
» Creekheart – Warrior –Tom – 21 Moons - Creekheart is a generally good natured cat and makes it his mission to make everyone happy. He thinks he's hilarious, but most cats would argue that all of his jokes are lame. Creekheart hates it when cats argue and will often try to break the tension with a joke. Creekheart is a light gray lanky tom with darker gray stripes down his back. His tail is almost entirely a dark gray, only having a few marks of lighter gray. His eyes are a piercing blue. [lordclover]
» Silkwhisper - Warrior - Male - 39 moons
- A pure white tom with silky smooth fur. He is Deerstar's brother, and has the same emerald green eyes she has, while also bearing a scar in the shape of an 'x' along his neck. While alike in many ways, such as the gentle and soft-spoken traits, Silkwhisper tends to be a little more sly and sneaky, as well as highly secretive. He tends to lean more Sharpstar's ways of ruling, choosing to prefer power and strength over the caring and gentle form Deerstar has, although he does support Deerstar's choices, even if reluctantly. The tom prefers to be alone most of the time, but he's more than willing to sit down and talk if he's approached, but is most definitely not fond of younger cats. [foxtrots]
Darkfoot - Warrior - Tomcat - 37 moons
A tall, heavy set, broad shouldered tomcat with a short-furred white pelt. He gets his name from the black “socks” on his paws. His ears are tattered to bits and there is a noticeable vertical pink scar that cuts over his lips. His eyes are a blue color that look like marble. Despite Darkfoot's intimidating appearance he is actually very warm and friendly. He likes to mother everyone. He also treats everyone like they are younger than him, even cats that are older than him. He is a big softy but loves to get in a good fight every-now-and-then. He'll actually start fights just for the fun of it. He is a good cat at heart.(His sister is Smewcall.) [glacia]
Possumtail - Warrior - Tomcat - 15 moons
Possumtail is a sickly looking feline. His light grey fur is short except around his neck where it is fluffy and sticks out in wild directions. His legs are lean and long, they are covered up to his belly with black dirt and mud that he has never bothered to clean. What is most noticeable is his furless pink tail that looks like an Opposum's. Possumtail has long crooked whiskers and squinted lemon-yellow eyes. In all honesty, he looks pretty gross. Possumtail is a huge pessimist. He prefers to stay in bed all day, and he will if you let him. He is very anxiety filled and nervous all the time. He has trouble with the simplest of tasks, and will often mess up. He tries to be a good cat though, when he isn't being bitter for no reason. [glacia]
Smewcall - Warrior - Shecat - 37 moons
Smewcall is a chubby little shecat. She has stout legs and a kitten-like face. Her fur is medium in length and very fluffy. Smewcall's coat is a white color, and she has two large black circles that surround each of her eyes and a floofy black tail. She has a pink button nose with black flecks on it and a pair of dark blue eyes that look like marble stone. She looks a lot like the bird she is named after. Smewcall is a little ball of energy. She just about always has a reason to be happy. She's a bit clumsy but doesn't let it get her down. She loves everyone and wants to be friends with every cat. She looks like a kit and still acts like a kit. (Her brother is Darkfoot.) [glacia]
Winterheart - Warrior - 38 Moons
- Winterheart is a black, ice blue eyed tom. He has strong, powerful, muscular legs and is excellent at fighting and climbing trees, along with the rocky outcroppings. His tail is slightly fluffier than the rest of him, and his left front leg is entirely silver-gray in color. The claws on that left front paw are abnormally long, and he tends to use that one more when fighting. Winterheart is often seen as cold, calculating, and mysterious. He will obey orders from higher ranked cats without question, but is prone to speak out and occasionally question authority. Once his walls are cracked and his heart is bare, he is quite caring and loving. He is most loyal to his clanmates, and will protect them in a heartbeat. [Panthermoon]
Larkfeather - warrior - tom - 35 moons
Larkfeather is a broad shoulder, average height tom. His pelt is a short furred light smokey grey flecked with black spots and covered in small scratch marks from battle. His eyes are a dark shade of blue framed by black almost tabby like markings on his face. Ultimately he is not the most displeasing cat to look at but certainly has a rough around the edges look to him. Larkfeather is a firm, harsh tom who expects the standards he lays out to be met. A bit of a traditionalist he dislikes change and comes down extremely hard on his apprentices. His relationship with Mintpaw is next to non-existent particularly since Mintpaw clearly defies the standard of respect Larkfeather believes all apprentices should have. Loyal to a fault however though he may grumble about some of the leader's decisions but he will never challenge them and will support the rightful leaders of his clan with every shred of power he has. Father of Mintpaw, former mate was Robinfur (Deceased). [Reminisence]
Mistystream - Warrior - She-cat - 21 Moons
- Mistystream is a short furred lilac lynx-point siamese. Her eyes are a pale yet clear blue and her tail is long and thin. She has a snow-white coat with well defined silver stripes around her eyes, cheeks, forelegs, on her forehead, and a silver ringed tail. This she-cat has a very calm and peaceful personality, she can be a little stubborn at times, but this is rare. Depending on her mood, Mistystream can become a little manipulative and flirtatious. But usually, she is a cat that will lay down her life for the clan and her loved ones. [Lostmoon]
Stormfire - Warrior - Tom - 25 Moons
- Stormfire is a large, broad-shoulder dark grey tom with long whiskers, medium length tail and bold amber eyes. He has one black front paw and serveral black stripes on his forehead, and tail tip. Stormfire cares dearly about his clan and will protect it, with whatever cost. He is kind, bright, enthusiastic and protective, however at times, he can be in a bad mood and can be really grumpy, and irritated easily. As he is very protective of his clan, Stormfire can often end up in an argument or even a fight if someone disagrees with the word of a clan leader. [Lostmoon]
Rainbreeze - Warrior - She-cat - 38 Moons
Rainbreeze is a medium sized, grey tabby she-cat with yellow eyes. She has a unique, darker grey, swirl colored pattern on both of her sides, contrasting against her lighter grey fur. As a natural born leader, Rainbreeze isn't afraid to speak her mind and hold her own against others who happen to disagree with her. She likes to get straight to the point in conversations, regardless of how others react or feel to what she has to say. She has been known to jump to early conclusions and hold grudges from time to time. [Christa]
Woodstep - Warrior - Tom - 22 Moons
Woodstep is small, brown tuxedo tomcat with short fur and striking yellow eyes. He has a white splashed chest chin, and paws. Woodstep is a firm believer in following the warrior code, and heavily dislikes when others don't, going so far as to tattle on those who do. Despite that, when he isn't hounding others, he is actually pretty laid back in most situations and won't turn down a friendly conversation when offered one. [Christa]
Lilyfrost - Warrior - female - 24 Moons
- lilyfrost is a white and light brown she cat with dark brown patches on her nose and face, her ears are a darker brown along with her tail tip, her coat is a light brown with white fawn spots, her chest and part of her muzzle and legs are also white. She has two medium brown patches on her left leg and toe. lilyfrost's eyes are a bright and soft blue that interchange with a darker more deeper blue, lilyfrost is sweet and shy. She gets very nervous at times when she is around someone she likes or doesn't feel comfortable with a certain situation. She is very fast due to her long legs and has great balance, at times she has the excitement and playfulness of an apprentice, lilyfrost has an adventurous and rebllious spirit which gets her into trouble a lot. She doesn't do it on purpose it just happens, she's has a bad habit at being in the wrong place at the wrong time [Bumblesripe]
Dawnwarbler - Warrior - Female - 27 Moons - She is a black she-cat with amber eyes. Her build is more on the lean side with long legs and a long tail; speed and agility is what makes this she-cat up. Though she and her twin are both mischievous and sly, Dawnsky is the more lively and energetic one. Ever since she was a kit, it was obvious that she would be a vigorous cat. She always on the move and never seems to stop; although in hindsight, it isn't necessarily a good thing. She has a bit of trouble calming herself when she gets in these high energy spikes. It doesn't happen too often, fortunately, but if it were to arise then luckily Duskraven would be able to settle her down. Besides being the spunky energetic she is, Dawnsky is notorious for her clever and creative thinking along with getting in trouble. Being one for adventure, she and her brother are always up for something risky. [ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ]
Duskraven - Warrior - Male - 27 Moons - He is a black tom with amber eyes. His build is more on the lean side with long legs and a long tail; speed and agility is what makes this tom up. Though he and his twin are both mischievous and sly, Duskraven is the more laid back one. That being in a sense he isn't a chatterbox who speaks with no ends meet. Though this cat, he certainly know what to say. He knows how to use his words rather than his claws, and oh he is certainly the charmer. Definitely one to compliment any she-cat. While to most he seems to be just flirtatious, to him it just shows his respect for she-cats. With Duskraven's words and mischievous behavior, he seems to spell out trouble more than his sister. With these two together, however, there is the definition of trouble there. Two siblings with a strong bond and a strong sense for doing something daring. [ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ]
Queens
Honeystep - Queen - She-cat - 39 Moons
- A short-furred, honey coloured tabby she-cat with a brown and golden striped tail and daring green eyes. She has several brownish-gold coloured stripes running down her back and She has a cream coloured chest, paws, inner-ears and underbelly. Honeystep is a determined cat and is protective of love ones, her tongue can be as sharp as steel and she can become very stubborn and sassy. However harsh this she-cat seems to be, on the inside, she is extremely soft and caring around kits and elders. [Lostmoon]
Apprentices
» Acornpaw - Apprentice - Tom - 10 Moons

» Kestralpaw – Apprentice –Tom – 11 Moons - Kestralpaw is a dark brown tabby tom with bright amber eyes. His fur tends to stick up in every direction and refuses to lie flat. He is a very energetic cat that gets up at the break of dawn and stays up until the moon is at the highest point. He's very ambitious and plans to be the best warrior. He can be rash and tends to go head first into situations, but as he grows up he will become more serious and more aware of other's emotions. At the moment he's just an excited apprentice that has to have his nose in everything. [lordclover]
Maplepaw(shade) - apprentice - female - 8 moons
- A dark brown she-cat with piercing yellow eyes. Her fur is short and her tail is rather long. The she-cat is outgoing and eager about her training, always looking ahead to training with her mentor, and whenever one wants to go out and about within the territory, Maplepaw is usually one of the first to jump into the group, even if she's often rejected due to being an apprentice. She's adventurous and curious, and this often gets her into trouble she shouldn't be in, while also earning her scoldings from various cats in the clan. This, however, does not stop her, and instead fuels her desire to explore the vast world around her. [foxtrots]
Rabbitpaw(chaser) - Apprentice - Tomcat - 10 moons
Rabbitpaw is a tall and lean tomcat. He is mostly all legs. His face is slim and he has very large ears with black 'lynx' tufts on the ends of them. His short, coarse, fur is a dark brown color. He has black tabby markings only on his legs and his long tail that look like rings. His eyes are a toxic green color. Rabbitpaw is notorious for being cocky and sarcastic. He has a huge ego. The tall feline isn't afraid of getting into a scrabble either. He is a huge flirt as well, always teasing others, specially his fellow apprentices. He slacks off on his apprentice training and duties frequently. Sometimes you can find him napping up in a tree, hiding from his mentor. Most of the time, Rabbitpaw takes things too far and has to face the consequences. Yet he never learns from his mistakes. [glacia]
Mintpaw - Apprentice - she-cat - 7 moons
Mintpaw, much like her father, has a light smokey grey pelt with streaks of black throughout her fur. Her belly and chin are a dark creamy colour and her pelt is incredibly fluffy. Long legged but with a toned muscle mass she isn't quite small enough to be viewed as little but not quite bulky enough to be seen as strong. Her eyes are blue green in color and rather rounded in shape. | Mintpaw isn't exactly the most respectful of students around. She has a very firm belief of what she thinks is right and isn't afraid to voice her disagreances with her superiors. She's a she-cat with little to no tact about her speaking her mind freely and not always politely. If there is one redeeming factor in her outspokenness it is that Mintpaw rarely lies, and she genuinely says what she says because she believes it is for the benefit of others. Known to be sassy, a tad sarcastic and to outright disobey her mentor at times she's an apprentice who needs a firm paw. Father is Larkfeather, mother was Robinfur (deceased). [Reminiscence]
Thymepaw - Apprentice - She cat - 11 Moons
- Thymepaw is a rather petite she cat with a primarily dark grey coat, her marbled tabby markings barely visible, they are only a slightly darker shade of grey. He has sharp, pointed ears, one that is slightly shredded from a training accident gone wrong. She has a long tail that ends with a tip of white, along with white toes. She has dark green eyes. Thymepaw is a rather outspoken she cat, one who challenges authority and will stand her ground if she believes she is right. She tries her best to be observant and quiet, but that never works out for her, things coming out of her mouth before she realizes what she has said. She doesn't have a speech filter often times and doesn't have the best attention span.[Sweetclover1]
Nettlepaw - Apprentice - She-cat - 10 Moons
- A pretty, sleek furred, light grey tabby she-cat with a white chest, tipped tail, ears and piercing green eyes. Her tail is long, and spikes up here and there, she has a long thin scar across her shoulder. She is a cat that loves to be the centre of attention. She speaks her mind and can be very stubborn, clever, skill full but often bossy. She can also be very manipulative and just a little bit flirtatious, but this varies. She is also always around when a fight is happening, as she finds them very exciting to watch. [Lostmoon]
Elders
Clearwhisker - Elder - Tom - 107 Moons
- Clearwhisker is a large, fluffy, grey tom with large dark grey splotches across his body. He has light blue eyes. Clearwhisker was a calm, nice cat but now he is an elder. He has grown to be quite impatient and snappy, however he loves to tell stories about when he was young and the clan itself. Mate is unknown, Kits are deceased. [Lostmoon]
Cloudygaze - Elder - Male - 69 Moons
- This gray tabby tom is a rather odd cat in appearance with lynx-like tufts on the tips of his ears and a bushy tail along. His build is more lanky than sturdy, not having very much power. Considering his age now, it would be surprising he's growing frail. Now Cloudygaze is a bit on the younger side to be in the elder's den; however, he had to move there for a reason. Not too long ago he began losing his sight, everything becoming a blur. Seeing he couldn't continue with his duties as a warrior he decided to retire to the elder's den early and took on the name Cloudygaze. His original name was Skyrunner, having decided to have on the name Cloudygaze to signify his disability. With his vision failing fast, he knows it won't be long before he's completely blind. Aside from that, he's a humble and soft-spoken cat. He's the cat you'd want to go to if you want to rant about all your problems and feelings. Being an excellent listener with a whole lot of patience, he's earned some respect by a few in the Clan. [ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ]
Loners
Lichen - Loner - Female - 32 Moons
- For a she-cat, she has a surprisingly strong build with strong hind legs that make her an excellent leaper. She has long, pale white fur that givers her an overall larger appearance. At a first glance she seems startling, but looking into her deep green eyes proves otherwise; they radiate an aura of calmness. Looking at her again however, there is a long scar that runs from her shoulder and all the way down her back. The scar was a remind of a horrific event she had gone through long ago, one that remains history and never to be spoken of—in a quite literal sense actually. After having barely survived a fox attack that wiped out her family, Lichen fell to a state of silence. Haven't having encounter too many cats, she eventually convinced even herself that she was a mute. She had been so accustomed to the actions someone with no voice would take that she fell to it. Getting to know her a bit better and past her timid shell, she is a kind and gentle soul. She had only gone through something traumatic that caused her to shy away. [ƑαƖƖєη Sтαяѕ]

[ Foxlight | Deputy ]
Foxlight entered the camp with a slight hop in her step, happy to have completed the dawn patrol without any problems at all. It was rare that happened, most of the time at least one cat would act out or trip up. That morning however went well, she suspected it was because of the distinct lack of apprentices on it. Either way, Foxlight was in a fairly good mood as she made her way to a patch of sunlight. She decided to wait a while before organizing a hunting patrol, especially since the dawn patrol had finished fairly early. She decided to rest in a small patch of sunlight and groom. [ Creekheart | Warrior ] Creekheart drearily padded out of the warrior's den, having to suppress a yawn as he sat on the edge of the ledge. He glanced around camp lazily and watched as a few cats entered the camp, most seeming wide awake. He was up early enough to see the dawn patrol return, which was rare for him. He usually preferred to sleep in and go on a later patrol. He considered to leave camp to hunt a little before the first patrol left, but decided against it. [ Cinderflight | Warrior ] Cinderflight woke up to an aching tail. Creekheart hadn't been quite as graceful leaving the den as he had thought, he stepped on her tail as he left. Cinderflight blamed herself for having a den so close to the entrance, it was a mistake, every warrior new that. However she was fairly new to being a warrior, she didn't have much choice of nest placement. The only older warrior she knew that had a nest nearby was Foxlight, but she suspected that was just because she wanted to keep an eye on the camp even as she went to sleep. She fought to go to sleep for a bit after Creekheart got up, but she ended up unable to fall back asleep. Drearily she headed out and into camp. [ Kestralpaw | Apprentice ] Kestralpaw was just a moment to late to join the patrol, when he left his nest he saw the last warrior leave. He was a little disappointed to be left behind, he almost always managed to be on the patrol, but quickly cheered up at the possibility of cleaning his nest. He spent part of the morning gathering fresh moss and laying it out in sunlight for the dew to dry. He waited impatiently beside it, practically quivering with anticipation. For what, he wasn't certain yet.

(Agh, I'm off to a slow start.)
Rabbitpaw had found himself a spot in front of the apprentices den. His green eyes were half lidded with dark circles around them. He yawned and reached up a hind leg to scratch at an itch on his neck. He watched his fellow clanmates exit their dens and start their day. He debated on going back to sleep, this was way too early for him. He cast the apprentices den a half-hearted glance, eyeing at his warm nest inside the cave. He longed to be back asleep.
Smewcall and Darkfoot were sharing tongues in the clearing. It was Darkfoot's idea to get up this early, he had dragged his sister along with him. 'The early bird catches the worm,' is what he said as Smewcall reluctantly followed. Right now Smewcall was laying down with her chin propped up on her front paws. Her eyes were closed and she was purring as she slowly fell back asleep. Her brother laid pressed against her side, cleaning her ears and messy bed-ridden fur with his pink tongue. His sister's purr slowly trailed off and subsided as she fell back asleep.
Possumtail was dead asleep in the warriors den. He was knocked out. Sleeping like a log. He was sprawled out in his nest, taking up a ton of room with the long legs of his. His muddy fur left clumps of dry dirt all inside the den and his nest, flaking off every time he rustled in his sleep. His mouth was opened a tad as he snored loudly. It was a surprise that he did not wake himself up with his loud snoring. Rabbitpaw squinted his eyes and his ear twitched when he registered Possumtail's snores. A low growl escaped him as he clenched his teeth.

» With a bounce to her step, Maplepaw had begun to bound out of the apprentice's den in her usual joyous mood. She hummed a little to herself, then looked around as the sun hit her brown pelt. Her eyes scanned the camp before she let them fall on Rabbitpaw, to which she gave a toothy grin. "Hi!" She squealed, "It's a nice day out, isn't it? Oh, I can't wait to head out and train! I've been waiting for... for... For a whole night!" She rambled on, then sitting and trying to quell her eager paws. She then huffed. "How's your training been?"
Deerstar stood at the base of the ravine, sitting in a shaded area with a small fish in front of her. Her bright green eyes scanned the camp, watching the clan buzz with its usual life, to which she smiled slightly before she began to eat her meal. She wanted Sharpstar to wake, so she could spend just a few moments together before they'd have to tend to their leader duties of the day; not that there were many, the clan was flourishing as of now. The gentle she-cat sighed and continued to eat, only moving once more to discard the remains.

Rabbitpaw perked up once Maplepaw bounced in. His ears flexed to face her and he leaned in a tad with interest. "Well would you look at you, aren't a little ray of sunshine this morning?" He curled his long striped tail around his paws neatly, looking at the sky. He hadn't thought about the weather, he was too absorbed in tiredness, but he guessed it was okay. Better than leafbare's cold chill. He tilted his head to the side, trying to think of an appropriate answer. He knew how much the shecat liked training, his answer wouldn't satisfy her but he wasn't going to lie. "Ehhh, I dunno' I'm kind of getting tired of this whole training thing." He raised a forepaw and rotated his paw in a circling motion as he tried to explain, "It's just really... boring. I wanna' be a warrior already, y'know?" He met her yellow gaze and softly smiled.

Mintpaw groaned as Maplepaws' squealing awoke her, "Can't she at least try to be quiet" Mintpaw mumbled as she pressed her paws over her ears trying desperately to block out her denmates chatter. But it seemed that her attempts were pointless as Rabbitpaw responded to Maplepaw's enthusiastic question the noise chasing the last wisp of sleep far from Mintpaws' reach. Resigned to the fact she most certainly wouldn't be getting back to sleep anytime soon the smoke coloured apprentice got to her paws and joined Rabbitpaw and Maplepaw outside the apprentice den. "Rabbitpaw you never feel like doing work" Mintpaw yawned a slightly annoyed edge to her voice.
Larkfeather had awoken early thanks to Possumtails' snoring. How any cat could sleep through that racket he never had been able to understand. Stretching is muscles outside the warriors den Larkfeather spotted Deerstar and made his way over to the leader. Unlike the rest of the clan who seemed sadly content to just sit and watch the day go by Larkfeather was ready to get started with the day. Then again he had always been like that, constantly hunting or patrolling as if there were nothing else better to do. "Good morning Deerstar" he greeted her with a respectful nod of the head, "Would you like me to take one of the patrols out this morning?" He offered.

Thymepaw slipped out of the apprentices den, letting out a large yawn, still drowsy. The tabby hadn't slept well the night before, there had been a thorn in her nest that she couldn't find and spent half of the time she should have been sleeping searching for the sharp thorn that had been poking her. The she cat shook out her fur, still feeling the phantom scratches on her pelt. She could see Rabbitpaw and Maplepaw at the entrance talking and padded up to them, hearing the last sentence Rabbitpaw spoke. "Yeah, I feel that," The apprentice mewed with another yawn.
Berrywhisker was settled in the medicine cats den, wondering what he could do for the day. He had already taken out all of the herbs that had gone bad, and considered going out with Leafrain if she wanted to. The tom still wanted to go on some type of border patrol, be a warrior, but knew it wasn't feasible so he didn't want to dwell on it much.

"Good morning, sleepy heads. Did we wake you?" His sneer could be heard in his voice when he greeted the two shecats. He chuckled, hiding his neck in his shrugged shoulders. "Well, you're not wrong." Rabbitpaw pressed his paw to his muzzle to hide his sly grin. "I'll probably skip training today too, you three are welcome to join me, if you like. Just don't be a snitch and tattle on me~" His tail that was curled around his paws flicked back and forth as he plotted his plan for ditching his mentor yet again.

Blinking open weary eyes, Redfur watched Foxlight as she had seemingly just returned from another successful hunt. ‘As if we needed another.’ Scoffing sarcastically to himself, Redfur bounded down the ravine slope to greet his mate who had started to groom herself in a sunny spot of camp. “Successful hunt?” He purred, appearing at her side to nuzzle her. He settled down beside her, tucking his tail around his front paws. “I think border patrols would be a bit more useful.” He pointed out, whiskers twitching. “Pretty soon, we’ll all become fat kitty-pets.”
Though irritable and sharp, Sharpstar had awaken to quite a pleasant mood. He didn’t detect any sign of stress within his clan from where he sat in the empty cliff carved cave. A trickle of water ran from the crack in the roof and down the wall to pool in a crevice in the floor of the cave. Emitting a sigh from his parted jaws, Sharpstar exited the cave with a slightly changed demeanor, slightly. His ears were still focused backwards and he had a somewhat distraught appearance to him, but he always brightened up for Deerstar. “I’ve slept in, again.” He murmured, taking a confident seat beside her. “Have I missed anything?” His gaze raked the camp, and his eyes sparkled with a rare look of relaxation.

» "Well, you'll certainly never be a warrior if you keep skipping." She meowed, raising an eyebrow and tilting her head. "I mean, I get that too... Sometimes..." She said, trying to sound believable, although most wouldn't believe her. "The tiredness, I mean. But... you gotta get to training or you'll never be a warrior! Imagine how it'll feel to have your clan chant your name!" She paused, "Rabbitfoot! Rabbitheart! Rabbitbreeze!" Maplepaw grinned, watching her fellow apprentices, her bright eyes meeting their gazes. "I'll be Maplebranch. O-or maybe Mapleleaf! Or Mapleshade!"

» "No. But..." Deerstar motioned towards Larkfeather. "Just assigning some hunting patrols. Silkwhisper, maybe? He can go with you. I think it's best if we remain in groups. A precaution." She meowed softly, "Speaking of which, maybe you should get something eat? It'd be a bad thing to head out on an empty stomach. But do let Silkwhisper know that he'll be heading out to hunt with you." The she-cat added on with a small, friendly smile. "Feel free to get another cat. Maybe an apprentice, if you want, they've been slacking a little." Her eyes then shifted onto Sharpstar again, smiling in a small greeting. "Sleep well?"

Rabbitpaw hummed in thought, she did make a good point. He brushed it off, the leaders would never delay his warrior ceremony. "I'll be fine. They have to make me a warrior. Besides, all that matters is the final assessment. But I do like the sound of Rabbitbreeze. Ooooo' or Rabbitleap." He smirked at the thought, quite content with the idea of him becoming a warrior and getting a super cool warrior name to go with it. Maybe then his clan mates would finally respect him and stop treating him like a kit. "What about you guys? What do you think your warrior names will be? You gotta' have some dream-name, right?" He glanced over to Thymepaw and Mintpaw, cocking and eyebrow.

» "You won't get it if you don't train. Betcha don't even know how to properly catch a squirrel!" She bragged, giving another grin. She liked challenging her clanmates, and Rabbitpaw was one of her preferences. "You'll probably stay in this den forever with your slacking attitude." Maplepaw meowed, rising to her paws and playful bouncing a little. "Deerstar would most likely postpone it. Or or maybe Sharpstar would make you pick ticks off the elders forever with your laziness!"

"Hmm... Maybe Thymesong? No... Thymewhisker. Yeah, I like that one, Thymewhisker." She mewed with a purr, mind on the final assessment. They where bound to give it to her at any point now, she was almost 12 moons old. "I can't wait till the assessment, its so close I can feel it, but Maplepaw has a point, if you skip training you'll never pass. You'll be the only apprentice in the den" The tabby mewed teasingly, wanting to be a warrior already. She was tired of having to go out with a mentor, she would much rather explore the territory on her own, plus it would give her an excuse to boss around the other apprentices. Part of her wanted to make Rabbitpaw clean out the elders den just because she could when she got her name before him.

Leafrain stretched waking from what had been a rather pleasant sleep as the sounds of the camp drifted into the medicine cat den alerting her to the fact the day had officially begun. Sitting up she drew a black forepaw quickly across her whiskers and moved over to Berrywhisker twitching her whiskers in greeting, "Anything interesting happening yet?" She asked him. Between the two medicine cats Leafrain rarely felt as though there was too much for her to do. Herb stocks always needed refreshing but more often then not the gathered herbs would rot before they could be used. Sometimes the cycle of collecting, sorting and getting rid of seemed more the monotonous.
Larkfeather nodded his head once to Deerstar before making his way back to the warriors den to look for Silkwhisper. Sticking his head inside the den he spotted the other tom and gave him a prod, "come on hunting patrol" he hissed so not to disturb the other warriors before withdrawing from the den and fixing his gaze on the gathered apprentices. Noting the chatting group Larkfeather made his way over, if they had so much time to chat then they had enough time to hunt.
Mintpaw rolled her eyes, "Maplepaw if you keep chatting the way you do you'll talk Sharpstar and Deerstar's ears off before you become a warrior" she meowed catching sight of Larkfeather. "Oh no" she groaned "look who's coming, maybe you'll have to do your training after all Rabbitpaw" Larkfeather always assigned the apprentices with tasks. It seemed common knowledge that the tom expected an apprentice to be busy at all times working for the clan.

» Maplepaw snickered, not paying much mind to Mintpaw's remark. "Well, I hope you have fun skipping!" The she-cat giggled softly, watching as the warrior approached, Silkwhisper not trailing too far behind. The snowy white tom groggily padded after his clanmate, watching the apprentices before sighing. "Chatting up a storm won't get any clan duties dealt with. You all should be changing the moss in the nests, or helping Leafrain, if she needs any." The tom meowed, his gaze settling on Mintpaw a moment before shifting to Rabbitpaw. He knew that the apprentice was known for slacking, and he only smirked slightly as he realized that he'd be taken out.

Rabbitpaw narrowed his eyebrows, his eyes slowly revealing how mortified he was. They were actually convincing him that he might never become a warrior. The gullible kid actually believed it. His ears flattened back on his head in defense. "I do too know how to catch a squirrel," he meowed harshly. His vivid green eyes had a sharp glint in them. His dark brown fur on his shoulders and neck prickled hot. "And if I can't become a warrior then I'll run away and become a rogue! And I'll give myself my own warrior ceremony. Hmph," he closed his eyes and stuck his nose up in the air. He was not going to have it. He opened up one eye to peak at Larkfeather that was making his way over. His pupils shrunk when realization hit him. "Oh no," he said in a low voice. Rabbitpaw stood up, "Alright, guys, I gotta' go go go!" He pranced in place before speed-walking in the opposite direction of Larkfeather. 'No way, I am not going to be caught by this guy,' he thought bitterly.

Sharpstar nodded in approval, motioning towards Rabbitpaw and Maplepaw. “I think it’s best if you take Larkfeather, Darkfoot and Maplepaw.” Whiskers twitching, Sharpstar averted his gaze from the apprentices and towards where Smewcall and Darkfoot were sharing tongues. “I’ll gather Smewcall, Rabbitpaw, Silkwhisper and Cinderflight.” Sharpstar gave a quiet huff in response to Deerstar’s command, leaning forward to nuzzle Deerstar affectionately on the cheek with his nose. “You’ve always been bossy.” He purred.
Whisking his tail across the ground, Sharpstar bounded swiftly down the rocky slope of the ravine, paws prickling with the adrenaline that coursed through his veins. He stopped at the base of the outcrop and raised his head along with his tail. “Quarter sun patrols will be announced now.” He ran his gaze through camp, his eyes bore a gaze of excitement and boldness as his voice had shown.

[ I'm back, sorry !] [ Foxlight | Deputy ] Foxlight smiled and chuckled at Redfur's remark. "Hardly," She said and touched her nose to his cheek in greeting. "All I got was a small mouse," She said, a pinch of bitterness in her voice. She had almost caught a plump squirrel, but it had escaped a moment to soon. She chuckled again and shook her head. "I guess that's for the best, I'd hate to see you turn into a fat kitty pet," she purred teasingly. She turned her attention to Sharpstar as he began to speak and listened intently, but her gaze flickered back to Redfur a few times.
[ Cinderflight | Warrior ] Cinderflight made her way towards a better position to hear Sharpstar as he began to speak. She found a spot not too far away to listen in and waited patiently with her tail over her paws. [ Kestralpaw | Apprentice ] Kestralpaw had dozed off since he had first left the den, but hearing Sharpstar's voice he opened his eyes and padded towards the center of camp with a small yawn.

"Not so fast Rabbitpaw!" Larkfeather called out to the escaping apprentice but the young tom was already gone. Larkfeather growled and fixed his gaze on the remaining apprentices. Out of all of them at least Thymepaw and Maplepaw did some work, Rabbitpaw was simply slack and Mintpaw had yet to learn any respect. He would have given Mintpaw a good lecture about her respect had Sharpstar not called the clan meeting. Taking a calming breath he turned shrugged his shoulders at Silkwhisper signalling he didn't know if the patrols would be changed and joined his clan.
Mintpaw huffed at Silkwhisper's comment, "well if someone took me out training once in awhile maybe the duties wouldn't be such a drag" she muttered just loud enough for the warrior to hear. She met Larkfeather's gaze definitely as he surveyed the apprentices and then flicked her tail in irration before following Thymepaw over to the gathered cats. Honestly would it kill the cats in this clan to actually teach her some warrior moves once in awhile. Maybe then the normal apprentice duties might become somewhat bearable.
Leafrain held back a soft laugh at the comment. In many ways she felt the same. Though she would never truly wish harm on her clanmates sometimes it felt as though all the training she and Berrywhisker had went to waste. "Well I guess it's back to herb collecting," she meowed "I found a new patch of horsetail near the border if you wanted to come". Only a moon apart in age Leafrain knew that Berrywhisker had wanted to become warrior, perphas patrolling along the border while looking for herbs might lift his spirits a bit.

Redfur scoffed in fake annoyance, flatting his ears for exaggeration. "Me a kitty-pet?" A cold trickle of pleasure ran throughout his body as if ants had crawled under his skin. He gave her an amused look, licking her softly across her muzzle. "You've always managed to impress me. Whether you bring back that sad excuse of a mouse or a plump juicy squirrel or rabbit." He flashed her a playful look before turning his attention to Sharpstar. "We'd better gather. Wouldn't want to get on his bad side." Still emitting a soft purr, he waited for Foxlight to get up.
