[ I kind of want Kestralpaw and Nettlepaw to have a rivalry now xD ]
[ Kestralpaw | Apprentice ] Kestralpaw frowned slightly, but only for a second. "My paws were meant for fighting," He said, gently swatting playfully at the air near Nettlepaw. His paws usually ended tangled and scratched up, and when he used his mouth he scratched his tongue.

The young apprentice snorted and lifted her head back. "Well my paws were meant for both hunting and fighting, it just so happens that I'm better at fighting rather than chasing mouse-brained squirrels up trees, which is pretty much useless."
(( Yeah, me too, it'll be exciting to RP XD ))

"Ain't nothing wrong with a lil' bit of training," Darkfoot replied to Cinderflight. He glanced around camp, is gaze dotting from cat to cat. "It sure would be nice if we could bring Acornpaw along, but I ain't got a clue where he got to." His ear twitched in thought as he wondered where his apprentice was, he was always losing track of him. "Anyways, let's be on our way." He looked to Cinderflight expectantly, waiting for her to lead the way, his marble blue eyes holding a kind of particular warmth they always held.

[ Kestralpaw | Apprentice ]
"Oh yeah? Well I think hunting is more useful than fighting, you need food to have energy and if you don't have energy you can't fight," He said matter-of-factly. He pretty much repeated what his mother had told him when he said he wanted to be the best fighter ever. He had practiced hunting and fighting evenly, but he was still better at fighting. [ Cinderflight | Warrior ] Cinderflight nodded and began towards the camp exit, her gaze flickering back to others once to make sure they were following. Since being assigned to the patrol her plan had changed, she now planned on heading west and circling around to the ancient tree for hunting after they had checked the borders. "Honestly," The grey she-cat rolled her eyes, she stared at Kestralpaw, her tail moving with the breeze. "But how would you ward or predators? Let's just admit it, they are both as important as each other," She scoffed, "But I still find fighting more interesting,"

» Maplepaw grinned and looked at the warrior expectantly before glancing at Thymepaw. "Yes! " She mewed in excitement, "Let's go! I've been waiting all day to do something productive." The she-cat rose to her paws, bouncing a little on her feet before she began to make her way up the ravine, only glancing back at her clanmates on the patrol once she reached the tom, just before the exit towards the forest.
Deerstar bounced down, onto the soft earth once Sharpstar had finished his announcements, looking around as cats dispersed while others stayed behind to chat before they'd tend to their duties. She loved the buzzing clan, and she couldn't wait for what was in store in the future. With a small yawn, the she-cat gave her mate a light nuzzle before he'd leave, sitting underneath a small shady area at the base of the ravine.

Winterheart padded into camp, two mice in his jaws. The black tom carried them to the fresh kill pile and set them down, then padded to an ideal corner of camp to groom his dark fur. He saved his left leg for last, grooming the silver fur rather quickly. His icy blue eyes were narrowed, more in relaxation than ferocity.

[ Cinderflight | Warrior ] She was glad to see that Maplepaw and Thymepaw were both excited to go, and only offered a mrrow of amusement before she headed out of the camp. Cinderflight padded through the forest, glad to feel the slight bounce of the pine that littered the bottom of the forest floor. She peered up at the tree branches, a small part of her wanting to climb up and scout ahead. She kept her paws on the ground however, wanting to stay close to her patrol and keep an eye out on the apprentices. As they approached the border, she scented the air once before turning her head to the apprentices. "Do either of you know why I chose to come to the west border first?" Cinderflight asked Thymepaw and Maplepaw. She wasn't certain if either of them had already talked about being downwind even on border patrols, but she figured their enthusiasm was to learn and help the clan and even if they did know it would be a good time to practice. [ Kestralpaw | Apprentice ] Kestralpaw nodded, despite wanting to argue for hunting. He figured it was a lost cause, and he didn't want to argue with warriors nearby, especially since Creekheart said he would be around. Kestralpaw glanced back at the warrior's den as he approached it and let out a soft groan. "Where do we even begin?!" The warriors den seemed filled to the brim with nests, and neither of the sides seemed easy to expand.

Sharpstar returned the soft nuzzle, emitting a quiet purr from his parted jaws. "My patrol will be leaving now." Flicking his tail, Sharpstar's narrowed gaze scanned for his scattered patrol. "Smewcall, Rabbitpaw, and Silkwhisper. We'll be heading out now." His sharp yowl bounced back through the ravine as the slate colored tom bounded leisurely towards the camp entrance, occasionally glancing back for his gathering patrol. "Silkwhisper, keep an eye on Rabbitpaw."
Redfur purred, tackling Foxlight with aggressive kitten licks. "I'll be heading out to survey an old fox den. Sharpstar wanted me to check it out." He paused, sitting back on his haunches. "Your welcome to come if you'd like." Whiskers twitching he added, "I'd like the company."

» Maplepaw stiffened at the question. Her mentor hadn't yet taught her why, nor mentioned it, and she tilted her head in embarrassed confusion. "N-no. I never knew, uh, why." She meowed in reply, watching the warrior intently, wanting an explanation. "Is it so that any possible intruders don't know of our presence?" She asked after a moment, only giving the small guess.
"I know. Be careful out there." Deerstar mewed gently, her voice low and smooth, as it usually was. She gave his nose a light lick, tail twitching behind her small form. "What should I do while the clan works? Watch over them?" She asked, knowing that she wasn't one for really making orders. She, hwoever, would do so if it required her to.

He cocked his head slightly, whiskers twitching at her amusing habit of taking orders despite being a leader herself. "The patrols are all that I had planned to get done today." He responded, focusing his ear attention forward. "Just stay here. Theres no need to worry about the patrols." His heart warmed at the thought of Deerstar worrying about him, or even the clan for that matter. He didn't see the point in worrying.

» She chuckled quietly, looking down at her paws, her tail curling around her paws. "Well, I was planning on staying. I just wanted to see if you had thigns to do - maybe so I could get to them. Two birds with one stone, yeah?" She looked at him then. "Well, regardless, don't get hurt. Don't need you losing a life." She then let out a small laugh, joking a little, despite knowing that she probably shouldn't joke about that.

Stifling an amused snort, Sharpstar flicked his tail impatiently. "Theres a fox den a few tail lengths from the backside of our camp, near the fallen tree. I gave Redfur the order to fill it back up, anything to scare that mangy fleabitten fox out of here." He turned away, picking up a soft trot as he made his way towards the camp entrance, weaving through a small gaggle of clanmates. "I'm sure he wouldn't mind help." He called back, just audible enough to be heard over the soft winds that swept low in the ravine.

[ Cinderflight | Warrior ]
Cinderflight smiled, pleased that Maplepaw had tried to answer despite not knowing and had been correct. "That's right," Cinderflight said in response to Thymepaw, her voice warm and full of pride. She loved hearing apprentices answer correctly and be energetic about it, it was nice to see future warriors in the making. "Remaining downwind will make sure we have the jump on any possible intruders, but it will also make it easier for us because it'll be much easier to know if someone has crossed the border since the wind will carry their scent further than it normally would." Cinderflight didn't add that she had used this as a way to breeze through border patrols, she assumed neither warrior with them would approve of that. [ Foxlight | Deputy ] Foxlight laughed at Redfur's attack of kitten licks, and only lightly swatted his shoulder in response. She hesitated only a moment before nodding her head. Deerstar was staying in camp, Foxlight wouldn't be shirking her duty if she left camp to check out a fox den. She liked to keep up to date on the fox dens anyway, and having seen it would ease her mind. "Sounds great, I'll tag along then," Foxlight purred.

Redfur emitted a short purr of satisfaction and beckoned Foxlight to follow him. "We should be off now. We'll be able to make it before the patrols return." Breaking into a light lope, he turned his head to call back to her. "Can a fat kittypet outrun you?" His voice was laced with clear amusement as he referred back to their previous discussion.

Foxlight feigned a hurt expression at his challenge. "I would certainly hope not," She said before falling into a slow jog. She bumped her shoulder against his lightly before quickening her pace to run the short distance to the entrance. [ sorry this is short ]

(( here! Sorry it took me so long to get on today -.-" Also just letting everyone know I probably won't be on tomorrow ))
Leafrain bounded alongside her fellow medicine cat. Really when the two weren't fulfilling their duties they were almost like kits at times. "Doesn't it feel good to be out of camp?" She meowed whiskers twitching cheerfully. The black she-cat closed her eyes for a moment drinking in the fresh scent of pine and enjoying the warm green leaf air. It was a shame the warm whether wouldn't last forever, perphas they ought to look for any new patches of tansy that might be growing soon too. They could protect the precious plants from the animals that might eat it during the warm seasons then collect it once leaf fall started.
Mintpaw peeked her head inside the den glancing around, "Since it's a cave we can't do much but maybe clear away some stones" she said but even then it didn't seem as if there were to many stones to move. "But we could extended the bramble bit" Mintpaw suggested backing out of the den to get a better look at the entrance. Unless Sharpstar was expecting them to dig through stone they could build the brambles out like another room to the entrance of the cave, "though it wouldn't be very water proof...".
Larkfeather joined the end of Cinderflight's patrol as she made to leave the camp. He followed the rest of his clanmates in silence thankful to have something to do.
