( Oh no... ) Lightningstar tried to run faster but was no match for Oakwind. She closed her eyes to avoid some dirt he had kicked in her direction. At this point, she knew she was going to lose, but she kept running anyway. Racing Oakwind was actually pretty fun. (I'm back! I now have a little more mercy for Oakwind.) Oakwind blindly charged forward, only having one goal in his mind. He had to beat his leader, and show her one thing that he was actually good at for once. Instead of disappointing her with many failed attempts to bring prey back to the clan, he could give her something to be proud about, since a good runner is always something you should have under your ranks. As Oakwind barged forward, still blindly moving his paws forward, he didn't exactly notice the entrance to a rabbit's den. In just a few moments, Oakwind suddenly had a sudden halt, one of his paws vanishing into the ground. A sudden shot of pain burst in his leg, but was mostly centered in his right paw. He let out a feeble meow, the pain in his paws making his eyes water slightly. But that wasn't the only reason his eyes were collecting tears, as he was quickly realizing that he had embarrassed himself in front of his leader... again.

"Okay, fine," Riverheart said with a sigh, realizing that he couldn't change his apprentice's mind, "but you have to job of cleaning the nursery for a moon." The black and white tom padded over to the river to join the other cats.
Lightningstar continued running until Oakwind suddenly stopped. She tried to stop but ended up tripping over her own paws in order to prevent herself from crashing into him. She noticed that his paw was stuck in a rabbit hole and heard his meow. "Are you hurt?" She asked, concern in her voice.

Oakwind whipped his head around, trying to disguise his apparent pain. He slowly lifted his trembling paw out of the rabbit hole, wincing slightly when his paw brushed against the dirt. With careful moves, he lifted his paw up to his face, his eyes scanning over the fur. It was partly stained with blood, one of his pads being puncturing by a sharp rock. His paw was slightly twisted in a way that was hard for Oakwind to describe. He blinked his eyes quickly, trying to make the tears forming in his eyes soak into his fur. He tested his paw on the ground, letting out a loud screech when he paw came in contact with the ground. He turned his head to Lightingstar, nodding his head shakily. "I think so..." He meowed, his paw shaking slightly Good job Oakwind, you embarrassed yourself yet again.

Lightningstar watched Oakwind with concern, wincing when she heard him yowl. "Are you sure?" She asked. "It's twisted weirdly, and you seemed to be in pain when you stepped on it. I don't want you to hurt it worse."

Riverheart turned around when he heard Stormpaw's protest. He felt a little bad doing this, but the apprentice needed to learn his lesson somehow. "A Clan works together to survive. You can't do that if you're never nice to your Clanmates," he told his apprentice.

Patchriver leaped. She aimed to miss the kits and instead landed right in front of where the tomkits were. She grinned and gave chase as they ran off. She mad sure to go slow, about a coupe of mouse lengths away from Scorchkit. Still, those siblings could run. She had forgotten the amount of energy kits contain. The she-cat almost felt sorry for their future mentors. She growled playfully as she increased her speed.

Bramblepaw looked into the river, hoping that seeing the fish would help him find the answer to Sparrowfeather's question. He thought the fish looked kind of like trout, but he wasn't completely sure. "It is trout?" he asked.
Emberpaw noticed Stormpaw seemed a little angry about something. He and Riverheart had gone of and talked about something that he didn't appear to be happy about, considering that fact that he was sitting far away from his mentor. Emberpaw went back to catching fish. It wasn't really her buisiness.

"Was that a question or an answer?" Sparrow feather mewed, whiskers twitching in amusement, nodding to the other mentor as he passed by. He considered stopping Riverheart, asking what was wrong, but deciding otherwise. River heart was a more experienced mentor than he, he could handle Stormpaw... Probably.
Stormpaw saw a trout pass by, and he struck the water, the fish flying into the air. The tom leaped forward, noticing he had hit the fish a little too hard and it flew away from him instead of towards him. The tom caught it, all four legs in the chilled water. He shivered, backing away, slipping as a rather hard current hit his legs.

Bramblepaw looked into the river as one of the fish leaped out of it. He swiped at it with his paw, flinging the fish onto the land. He killed it quickly with a slash of his class and looked at it. The fish was definitely a trout. "An answer," he told Sparrowfeather.
Emberpaw swiped her paw, about to catch a fish, when she noticed Stormpaw was standing in the river. She was about to ask him if he wanted help getting out or something when he was hit by a current and slipped. "Stormpaw!" She shouted, frozen in horror. He's going to drown!

I don't want you to hurt it worse." Oakwind let out a small sigh, making sure to keep his paw above the ground. "Okay, fine... It really hurts, Lightingstar." He meowed quietly, his pelt burning with shame. I have done it yet again! Why do I always have to embarrasses myself?

"Do you need to go to the medicine den?" Lightningstar asked Oakwind. "I can help you walk there." She really hoped his paw would heal. The black she-cat had really liked racing him.

Oakwind nodded his head, limping towards Lightingstar. "I think so..." He said, trailing off at the end of his sentence. He was worried with the thought that maybe his paw wont get better. What if he had really injured it this time? Even if it got better, would it ever be the same?

"Here," Lightningstar said, walking over to the side gf him with the injured paw. "Lean against me." She looked at his paw. "I'm sure it will heal, it might just be twisted or sprained or something."

Oakwind nodded again, pressing his fur against Lightingstar's black fur. Oakwind took another look at his paw, his eyes sparking with hope. "I sure hope so... I would hate for my paw to never to be the same." He said, his voicing trailing off slightly.

( sweetclover1 We have a medicine cat, but Foxtail could know some herbs and help Oakwind. ) Riverheart heard Emberpaw's cry and looked over. He saw a fish moving around wildly. He was confused until he realized that the fish was in a cat's mouth. Stormpaw! He ran after Stormpaw, but the apprentice was already far away when he had started running. Emberpaw ran after Stormpaw, her teeth clenched around a long, thick branch. She was going as fast as her legs could carry her, trying to keep up with the current. She help out the branch, hoping he would be able to grab onto it so she could pull him out. Lightningstar looked at Oakwind's paw. She wanted to say something, to tell him that it would heal, but she was no medicine cat. She didn't know if it would heal or not and she didn't want to lie to him or give him false hope. "I hope it heals too," she said instead.

Oakwind nodded, pressing against Lightingstar as he stumbled back to camp. His paw was throbbing, and each movement shot a bullet of pain through his paw despite of tucking it against his chest. I hope it doesn't take us to long to get back to camp...

Bramblepaw was about to go after Emberpaw when Sparrowfeather stepped in front of him. He was about to run after her anyway but figured that his mentor must have had a good reason to be doing this. Still, that didn't stop him from wondering what it was. "Why did you do that?" He asked. "She could fall in and drown!"
Emberpaw sunk her teeth even deeper into the branch to strengthen her hold on it. She pulled, walking backwards quickly at first but slowing down as it took more and more energy to pull Stormpaw out of the river. I really hope this works...
Lightningstar walked slowly, not stepping forward unless Oakwind did. She didn't want to rush him or upset his balance for fear that it would hurt him even worse than he already was. She could tell he was in pain and wished she could do something more to help.

"She might, but if you jump forward you could fall in and drown. Trust your sister, okay?" He mewed gently, watching the female apprentice carefully. If things got too bad, he would jump in and help, but he wanted to see how Emberpaw could handle herself in this situation.
Stormpaw finally got himself out of the water, collapsing into the muddy bank of the river, spitting out the fish and gasping for air. "Th-thanks," He coughed, having breathed in some water. The grey tom looked brown.

Bramblepaw understood what Sparrowfeather was saying and he didn't run after Emberpaw. He was still worried about her, though. He tried to see what was going on, if she was okay, but she was only a small ginger and white spot in the distance.
Emberpaw let out a sigh of relief when Stormpaw got out of the river. He wasn't going to drown and she wasn't going to drown, not today. "Do you need to see Kinkfeather?" She asked.

"Well, you should probably lay down in the sun or something to help you dry off," Emberpaw suggested, knowing that she probably wouldn't be able to convince him to go to the medicine cat's den.

The two kits raced around camp, passing the stone between each other. Okay, so maybe it had turned into a keep-away-from-the-warrior, but still keep away.

Ravenwing settled down, tail flicking from side to side in boredom. Let's see, she came back to camp from hunting, went to teach her apprentice how to swim, and then her apprentice basically got handed over by her to her sister. I'm a mousebrain, aren't I? Ravenwing thought with a sigh.
Tawnypool watched, sighing. In the meantime she had clawed her way up a tree to be isolated. After what she did to Ravenwing, she didn't think her sister would ever forgive her. It was just a little scene right? No harm done? Tawnypool didn't think so. She lied on a branch, tail hanging and lashing.
