Spookpaw nodded at Ravenpaw's words. "Yeah.." She agreed, her voice a bit quiet. "They aren't as interesting as I heard, though." She flicked an ear. The elders had always spoken of them being evil and having more to offer, but the ones she and Ravenpaw had just seen, well, they were far from interesting. She gave a small sigh. "Maybe someday we'll see them be more interesting, or if anything, something interesting at all." Sorry my reply is short, my muse is super low rn Dx }}
Disappointment pricked at Ravenpaw's pelt as they walked off. Saddened by the fact that the two-leg campsite hadn't turned out to be the adventure he thought it'd be, he tried to make some light of the situation. "At least you won't have to hear Raggedbite bothering you about where you've been." He offered, giving a small smirk.

Crackedpads gave a small nod and took a bite of the mouse. "How are you?" He asked, pushing the mouse back over after he took his bite.
[ it's okay c: mine kind of is too ah ]
Spookpaw tipped her head. "What do you mean? I'm sure he will." She mewed, flicking her ears. "And honestly, even if he did find out, I'm not scared of him." She did her best to puff out her sleek chest in slight pride. The she-cat actually was a bit afraid of her mentor, but not completely. She knew that he wasn't as harsh as he made himself out to be.

Ravenpaw gave a small laugh. "Maybe he will, but since we weren't out as long it'll be more believable to say we were play fighting or something." He meowed. It wasn't the best idea to lie to your mentor, but sometimes it was the best way to stay out of trouble. "Not scared of Raggedbite? Well, I am!" He meowed, only half joking. He was a large warrior who knew how to fight, although Ravenpaw did know that there was no way in Starclan he would attack a clan mate. But he was still intimidating.

Spookpaw shrugged. "That's true. I'll just throw you under the bus." She teased, gently nudging the tom with her shoulder. Spookpaw knew that Raggedbite would probably never believe it, but maybe he would just along with it and spare her some pain. Spookpaw gave a small laugh. "Well, maybe I am a little. But he isn't that bad." The tom was intimidating, but he wasn't exactly mean. And if he was, Spookpaw knew that he meant it in the best way while mentoring.

Ravenpaw gasped in fake horror, looking over at her. "Hey!" He meowed, nudging her back slightly harder than she'd nudged him. "How dare you!" He added, turning his head back forward and twitching his whiskers in amusement. "And hey, you should be grateful. You could have Hawkfeather as your mentor." He said, only half-joking. Hawkfeather wasn't a bad mentor by any means, just a little... boring. It was always work and no play with him, but at least Raggedbite didn't seem to be too harsh on Spookpaw.

Spookpaw gave a small laugh and stumbled slightly to the side as Ravenpaw nudged her. The she-cat regained her poise gracefully and slid back into her position next to Ravenpaw. At his next comment, the black she-cat tilted her head. "You don't like him?" She asked, her tone a bit confused. "He doesn't seem that bad." Granted, Spookpaw didn't know Hawkfeather all that well. She had only spoken to him a few times, and it was merely in passing.

Twistedtoe heard his denmates question and firmly replied with a, "A bit sad but overall perfectly fine." He took a small bite of the rodent, sadness a pit in his stomach. He shook of the feeling and replied with, "You?" Rushingwolf

Crackedpads flattened his ears for a moment at Twistedtoe's response. "I'm as fine as I'll ever be." He rasped. "What's wrong?" The tom took a small bite of the mouse as he awaited an answer.

Crackedpads gave a slow nod at Twistedtoe's words. "Oh.." He rasped, flicking his ears back. "I'm sorry." The tom's words were quite simple. As much as it looked like he didn't care, it was quite the opposite. Crackedpads had never been good at displayed emotion, especially sympathy for others.

Ravenapaw shrugged. "It's not that I don't like him." He meowed, thinking about his relationship with his mentor. They weren't particularly close, and didn't have the same relationship as other apprentices did with their mentors. Sometimes he got jealous, and other times he didn't care is much. "It's just that we're not very close. Plus he can be a buzzkill sometimes." He meowed with a shrug.

"Oh.." Spookpaw mewed, unsure of how to respond to his answer. "I'm sorry..maybe try reaching out to him more? That might help." Spookpaw considered herself and Raggedbite to have a fairly good relationship. Sure, the two didn't always see eye to eyes, but that was with everyone.

dont worry you're good cx my muse as been awful the past couple days so i totally get it haha }}
Ravenpaw nodded. "Yeah, I probably could try more to make our relationship work." He meowed, walking along. He saw camp approach, and got disappointed in their feat all over again. His small adrenaline rush hadn't been enough to satisfy his thirst for adventure. "It might've been a good idea to catch something just so it at least looked like we were productive." He said with a small chuckle.

[ ah thank you x3 ]
----
Spookpaw gave a silent nod at his words. As much as she seemed like a self-centered, overactive cat, she believed that things were worth fixing. Especially if it was something like a wedge between mentor and apprentice. Mentors and apprentices were together for a while, so there was no point in being miserable during it if it could be helped. At his suggestion, Spookpaw nodded. "Yeah, you're probably right." She mewed, though gave a shrug when she saw the brambles surrounding the camp entrance. "Too late now. Hopefully no one will notice." She mewed, though she had a feeling in the pit of her stomach that Raggedbite would be waiting for her.

Fennecpaw nodded with a faint smile. "That's good." He mewed, flicking his ear. The tabby tom didn't know much about hunting. He had never been good at any of the little games the other nursery kits had played. He was always too busy dreaming about the medicine cat den or trying to help out in there in any way possible. That was all he had ever wanted to do; it was like he was destined for it. If the medicine cat apprentice spot hadn't been open when it was, then Fennecpaw had no idea what else he would be doing. The tom knew he would be no asset to the clan as a warrior.
Fennecpaw tipped his head slightly as Leopardpaw smiled. He didn't think he had done anything of worth, but maybe it was the kindness he had put forth. At the question, Fennecpaw gave a shrug. "Not really. Just sorting through a bunch of herbs." He said, looking up at the other apprentice. "I had to stop to come get something to eat, though." It was odd to imagine a cat wanting to sort through herbs all day instead of going outside and hunting or patrolling the borders. To Leopardpaw his life was about being a warrior, a powerful cat in body and strength. Apparently to Fennecpaw his life was about being a medicine cat, a powerful cat in mind and soul. Leopardpaw thought it was odd, of course he did, but he was glad to have a cat like Fennecpaw to heal the injured.
The gray tabby nodded as the cream tabby spoke up. His tail twitched a few times before he flicked it around his paws, curling it neatly around them. "Sorting through herbs must be like looking for the right kind of prey. If Crackedpads wants a shrew, you better get him a shrew," Leopardpaw laughed softly. "Is that what sorting herbs is like?" The warrior apprentice was curious to know; he would never understand what it truly meant to be a medicine cat, but he could try to get an idea.

Speaking of herbs made Fennecpaw smile to himself. The tom had always wanted to be a medicine cat, ever since he could remember. There was nothing he loved more. He knew that StarClan had put him in CavernClan for a reason, and that was to heal and help others. If Fennecpaw wasn't able to be medicine, then he really had no idea what he would do. He was useless at hunting and fighting.
At Leopardpaw's analogy, Fennecpaw couldn't help but give a small laugh before shaking his head. "That's more like collecting herbs." He said, finally opening up a bit. He tossed the scraps of his prey to the side before sitting up and swiping his tongue over her muzzle. "I could use some help.." He added, his voice returning to the sheepish tone it generally was. "Would you like to help me?"

Leopardpaw perked his ears up, thinking Fennecpaw's question through. Collecting herbs? Leopardpaw had never done that before...he wondered exactly what it was like to go out and collect herbs with the other young tomcat. It sounded like an adventure now that he thought about it. The gray tomcat puffed out his chest, whiskers twitching with wondrous excitement. "I'd love to come with you! I've never collected herbs before, so you might need to show me a few tricks here and there." While he knew how to catch prey and all, he wasn't sure if it was the exact same thing as hunting. It could very well be, but then again, plants couldn't run, prey could.

If he was about to go and collect more herbs, then there was no reason to go back and sort the remaining ones until they had gotten back, Fennecpaw supposed. His eyes lit up as Leopardpaw agreed. The cream tabby hadn't been expecting such an enthusiastic answer, but he wasn't complaining. It was always nice to have such help- especially from a warrior apprentice. All of the ones he had known seemed like they would rather die than help with herbs. Fennecpaw gave a small purr and nodded. "It's not too hard. I'll show you what to look for." He mewed and took a small step to the camp entrance. "Would you like to go now?"
