Shadowfern nodded and made way out of the camp, walking a bit slowly until the tom was able to catch up with her. When he asked where they should go, the she-cat though for a moment. "What about Rabbit Ridge?" She asked, looking over at him. She had always enjoyed that area of the territory.

The moment the tom mentioned Crystal Cavern Silverfin perked up visibly. Her large, angular ears swiveled forward and her typically half-lidded eyes widened with anxious excitement. Even the fur along her spine bristled up somewhat. There truly was a reasoning behind her suffix of 'fin'. Fishing had always been her passion; it was a bit odd to think about the faint tabby being such an avid fisher when she was so picky about woodland food. She could catch birds and mice, but she wouldn't dare eat them, not even during the harsher moons. But when it came to fish, she could eat that all the time. Usually it was the other way around with CavernClanners, preferring the woody taste of a mouse, but not Silverfin. Fish was her go to meal.
After a moment the she-cat leaned down and drew her tongue quickly over her chest fur to hide the excitement that had been visible. Almost sheepishly she looked back up to Howlingmoon. "That sounds great. We could bring back some fish and some woody prey." A nice variety for the Clan, Silverfin noted.

Shadowfern nodded to Hawkfeather and scampered out of the camp. The she-cat had never thought of herself to be a good rabbit hunter, but she knew that there were other pieces of prey at the Ridge. Specifically mice, but she figured she might be able to find a vole or two. Shadowfern gave a small purr when her paws hit the soft grass. She had always loved living in the forest. She had heard stories about the great clans of the past and how some of them didn't like in the forest. She could never understand that. Shadowfern never wanted to not live in CavernClan. This was her home
~~
When Silverfin perked up, Howlingmoon gave a small purr of amusement. He hadn't expected his suggestion to be taken so quickly, but he didn't mind it. He was glad his suggestion had been so liked.
Howlingmoon nodded. "Sounds good." He said, her voice warm and friendly. "After you." He said, gesturing his tail toward the camp entrance.

Spookpaw gave a small snort and padded after Ravenpaw. She stayed silent. She knew the tom was good, but it was fun to mess around with him. At his next statement she flicked him with her tail. "Nuh-uh!" She exclaimed, shaking her head. "I knew the squirrel was there. I was just testing you." She snorted. She knew the tom was right, but she was never going to admit that. Spook paw's ego was too high. She was always right, and everyone else was wrong. That's just how it was. Hey you guys~ }}
Ravenpaw gave a roll of his eyes before she even finished her sentence. He should've known she would never admit to not being aware. "Hah!" He laughed, whiskers twitching with amusement, not slowing his pace. "Sure you where!" He meowed, her high ego entertaining him. As they grew closer and closer to the campsite, his excitement rose. They still had a little more walking to do, as it was on the far side of the territory, but his tail lashed in anticipation. He wasn't exactly sure what they were going to do when they got there, but whatever it was, he couldn't hardly wait.

Spookpaw snorted at Ravenpaw. She knew that she had;t noticed the squirrel, or really even heard the twig snap, but she was never going to admit to that. The black she-cat followed along Ravenpaw, quickening her pace to match his. She could tell the tom was excited, and she couldn't blame him. She had never even been to the two-leg campsite so she didn't know what to expect, but she had heard stories. "What are you gonna do what we get there?" She asked, looking over at the apprentice. "Attack a two-leg?" Her tone was playful as usual, though she was curious as to what he had in mind.

Nervousness mixed with the butterflies in Ravenpaws belly when he realized just exactly what could happen when his companion mentioned 'two-legs.' But the danger was all part of the fun, right? At least, he thought so. "Exactly!" He joked. "And then I'll steal its food and amaze everyone back at camp." He finished proudly, chest puffed out and head high. After a small chuckle, he then said, "Honestly, I'm not sure. I'll have to see when we get there."

A soft purr rumbled in the back of Silverfin's throat. She had been on patrols and whatnot with Howlingmoon before, but she had never really stopped to do anything one-on-one with him; she had always seen him as a true and loyal warrior, but she didn't really know him outside of just being regular Clanmates. In all honesty the only cat Silverfin truly knew was her little brother. If Leopardpaw wasn't her brother she wouldn't know him outside of being just a regular Clanmate. Perhaps it was a good thing for her to get out and actually do something with another cat that wasn't Leopardpaw.
Silverfin kinked her feathery tail up as she stepped forward to take the lead. She glanced over her shoulder to look at the tomcat. Knowing that he was right behind her, the she-cat went on ahead, slipping out of camp and making her way to the world above ground.

Spookpaw gave a small laugh. "Their food is probably disgusting!" She said, looking at Ravenpaw. "It probably tastes like dung." Spookpaw had no experience with two-legs, and certainly not their food. She had never even seen a human before, only heard stories. Though from what she heard she never wanted to meet one. But this adventure would be fun, right? Spookpaw silently agreed to the internal question. She lived for the thrill of these things. The black she-cat gave a small nod. "I wonder if there will even be any there..from what I hear from the warriors and even Crackedpads it's kind of hit or miss."
~~
Howlingmoon was in the same situation as Silverfin. While he knew all of his clan-mates and loved them all equally, there weren't many cats that he could call a true friend. He was friendly with everyone he came in contact with, but nothing had ever escalated between he and anyone else, even as little as a simple friendship. The only cat he was anywhere close with was Redraw, and that was mainly because the she-cat was his apprentice.
The large tomcat followed after SIlverfin, eager to get to hunting. Howlingmoon knew he wasn't the best hunter around with his large stature, but he wasn't terrible. Simply mediocre in the best sense of the word. The dark gray feline was ready to stretch his legs and take on the forest, conquering every single piece of prey he could find. "So, you like to fish?" The tom asked, glancing at her. His comment was out of the blue and mainly a guess, but he didn't want their journey to feel too awkward.

Shadowfern nodded in response to the tabby. "Sure." She mewed and padded forward, though she slowed her pace slightly so the tom could walk with her. "So, um, how have you been?" She asked. The she-cat had never really been very good with other cats since she was more of a loner, but she knew that she needed to at least try- especially since she and Hawkfeather were going hunting.

RushingwolfThe tom smiled at Shadowfern letting her take the lead. "Good, how about you Shadowfern?", asked Hawkfeather with a purr escaping his throat. "That's good." Shadowfern mewed, keeping pace with the larger tom. At his question she looked over at him. "I'm doing alright." Her answer was simple. She had always been a simple cat, not much to say or do until she truly got to know another. And while she had never really spoken with Hawkfeather, he seemed nice so far. The black tabby had never had many friends in her life, so surely gaining one now wouldn't hurt.

Rushingwolf"Oh okay, just busy with hunting for me and I just recovered my injury from spraining my paw actually.", told Hawkfeather as he flicked his tail playfully to her. The tabby tom glanced at the sky and said," It is a nice day today actually." The warrior continued following the other warrior talking some slow breaths as he walked. Hawkfeather smiled to himself and then looked at Shadowfern again.

Shadowfern nodded at the tom's words. "That's good. Injuries are no fun." She mewed, thinking back on the time she had wrenched a claw. The injury seemed minor, but it had hurt terribly. She had even been out of her warrior duties for a few days because of it.
When the two cats approached Rabbit Ridge, a small purr came into the she-cat throat. She had always loved this place, for the landscape and the hunting. "'Yeah, it really is nice today." She said, feeling the slight breeze through her pelt. The she-cat tasted the air and caught the faint scent of rabbit. She then slipped off, leaving Hawkfeather behind so she could go to catch it.

Ravenpaw laughed, knowing he'd get a reaction similar to the one she gave. He also imagined their food tasted horribly, but he was curious enough to where he would try it. "Don't tell me you wouldn't try a bit if you had the chance." He said, a chuckle in his throat. Two-legs were very scary, at least from the stories he's heard. Apparently, they're as tall as trees and only have fur on their heads. He always thought that was insane, but soon he would know if any happened to be at the campsite. With adrenaline pumping through his body, he responded, "If they're not there I'll just come back another time."

Spookpaw gave a small snort. "Never! I'm no kitty pet." She said boldly, puffing her already short chest fur out as best she could. She was a clan cat, why would she want to try two-leg food? The black she-cat didn't know much about two-legs, but from what she had heard, she never wanted to be near one. But now..for the adventure..she couldn't pass this up. This was willing and it would be fun, right? Spookpaw certainly hoped so. She didn't want to be one of the cats that got captured by one, never to return home to CavernClan again. The thought sent a chill down her spine.
The sound of Ravenpaw's voice snapped the black she-cat out of her thoughts. She tipped her head. "You? This is our adventure!"

Howlingmoon was in the same situation as Silverfin. While he knew all of his clan-mates and loved them all equally, there weren't many cats that he could call a true friend.
Parting her jaws open, Silverfin took a deep breath of the air around her. The musky scent of the woods brought a deep sense of satisfaction running through her veins. This was her home. This was the home of her parents, and their parents, and their parents, and so on. This was the home of CavernClan for many, many generations. The first cats who settled here had been wise to decide on such a place to call home. Their legacy continued on in every step Silverfin took, in every step Howlingmoon took. This was why Silverfin loved her home - every step she took mattered, and every step before her had mattered. It was an amazing feeling to know that she was carrying on such a legacy.
These thoughts were knocked out of her when Howlingmoon spoke up. She turned to look at him, half-lidded eyes growing round with excitement. "I love to fish! The water is so nice to wade in, too. Have you ever tried to swim?" Looking at him the large warrior didn't seem like the type to like swimming, but Silverfin couldn't be for sure until she actually asked. Maybe she would be surprised by him and he did like swimming. She doubted it, but she was curious. "My father loved to fish as well. He always brought back as much fish as he could, remember?" Her father, Sootstream, had not been deceased for that long - perhaps only two seasons. He had died from a terrible case of greencough, not making it only due to being so weak from age. That was what had taken Silverfin's mother, Willowstep. Old age was perhaps one of the easiest ways to go at times, sleeping and never waking up. Willowstep's death had seemed so peaceful, like she had gone without a single notion of pain. But that was enough of that. Silverfin flicked her tail, smiling at the thought of fishing. "I guess you could say fishing is my thing."

Silverfin's great excitement took Howlingmoon by surprise. The tom had expected her to say yes, but not that much of one. He couldn't help but give a small chuckle at it. It was nice seeing someone that excited over something, especially if it was a passion. The way cats lit up when they talked about something they loved was something Howlingmoon could never do without.
The tom shook his head at her question. "No." He said, "I've gotten my paws wet, but I guess I'm more of a tree cat." Climbing was something Howlingmoon had loved to do, ever since he was a kit. He would climb all over the place, and the CavernClan camp made it easy for cats like him to do so. His mother, Snowhawk, was always the one to get after him about being careful and not annoying the other warriors while his father had just stood there and laughed. It was moments like those the tom would never forget. When Silverfin brought up her father Howlingmoon nodded. "Yeah, I remember." He answered. "When I was an apprentice I always thought it was weird how he brought back fish instead of mice or squirrels." Howlingmoon purred warmly, amused by the actions and thoughts of his younger self. The dark gray tom look at Silverfin as she smiled and gave one of his own. "And I guess climbing is mine."

Howlingmoon did look like he was more of a tree cat. Then again, looking him over, Silverfin wondered how he could get such a large body up a tree in a graceful manner. Was he even graceful? Didn't grace go paw in paw with climbing, though? Silverfin cocked her head in thought. Howlingmoon was by no means a fat cat, not at all, but he was muscled and large in body size, larger than a lot of the tomcats in the Clan. Feeling like it could be taken the wrong way in such an easy manner, Silverfin kept quiet, keeping the thoughts to herself; perhaps Howlingmoon would indirectly answer her silent question during their conversation. "I've never really did much climbing. I did once - I was an apprentice and trying to impress my mentor. It didn't turn out too well," she mewed with a soft mrrrrow escaping her. She had not enjoyed the feeling of bark under her paws one bit. After that Silverfin had made a point to avoid climbing as much as she could. Climbing was just one of those things she was picky about.
Talking about her father made the she-cat smile in a somewhat bittersweet manner. Her father's death was still fresh, but her mother's was even fresher. Leopardpaw had only been three moons old when Sootstream passed, but their mother had only passed three moons prior to this very moment. She had been old when she had given birth to Leopardpaw, older than it was typically safe for a she-cat to have a litter. That was the reason why she had only carried one kit in her second litter, and while Silverfin's litter had included two brothers, they had both been killed earlier on in life. A lot of death had happened in Silverfin's life, but she didn't let that get to her. Or she at least tried not to.
"He knew I liked the fish he brought back, so he brought as much as he could. He also loved to fish, so he would do what he loved," the Oriental purred. "He kept the Clan fed in the end." And that's what truly mattered. Silverfin thought about this as she padded on through the woods, ears perking forward with each step that brought them closer and closer to their destination.
[ even though i typed that silver's brothers had died, i can change that and if anybody wants they can make one of their toms be a brother, or you can make a new cat. the only thing is that they have to be gray or silver so ye ]

The sound of Ravenpaw's voice snapped the black she-cat out of her thoughts. She tipped her head. "You? This is our adventure!" Ravenpaw tilted his head slightly. He in particular had spent most of his time in the elders den listening to stories as a kit, as he had no siblings to play with. A good amount were about two-legs, so he had a good amount of knowledge of them. At the same time, though, all these could just be crazy rumors. "I don't think two-legs and kittypets eat the same food." He half said, half pondered. The more he thought about everything he's heard, the more unrealistic two-legs seemed to sound. "Maybe they're not even real..." He drifted off. But he was returned to reality when Spookpaw spoke once more. "If they're not there and you want to come with me again, you're more than welcome to!" He meowed. "I just wasn't sure if you'd wanna."

[ Alright^^ ]
---
Howlingmoon gave a small mrrow of laughter in response to SIlverfin's comment. Climbing was difficult, there was no doubt about that, but it was something he had always enjoyed doing. He didn't let anything stop him, not even his size. And while that could make it difficult at times, it was challenge he was willing to take. "I could always teach you." The tom said, looking over at the she-cat. "It's not hard once you get the hang of it." pun not intended
At the mention of her father Howlingmoon gave a weak smile. He hadn't known Sootstream that well, but he still knew the tom and it was always heart-wrenching when a clan member died. The tom smiled gently at Silverfin's words. "That's good, though. I'm glad that you love it and are able to follow in his footsteps." Howlingmoon didn't want their chat to turn depressing, but he couldn't help but share those words.
~~
Spookpaw gave a small shrug. "You never know." She said simply. Maybe Ravenpaw was right, but she didn't exactly want to find out. Spookpaw looked at Ravenpaw when the tom commented on the two-legs. "I've always heard Crackedpads tell story about them, but who knows. If they were fake, then why aren't we allowed at their campground?" She asked, not really expecting an answer. The lanky black she-cat snorted. "Of course I do! This is our adventure. Once an adventure always an adventure! Right?"

Ravenpaw pondered her answer. She was right; If there was no danger, what was the reason for them being forbidden to go there? She made a lot of sense, and now he started to think that maybe they were real, and so was everything else said about them. To him, it all still sounded pretty insane. But, he was snapped from his thoughts as she spoke again. "Yeah, you're right!" He agreed, nodding his head slightly. But, he didn't have much longer to think about it as he saw their destination through the trees. "There it is!" He meowed, turning his head to her, and his eyes wide as an owls. He dashed ahead, stopping a few tree-lengths before the pelt looking things were set up.

Spookpaw followed after Ravenpaw, staying quiet. The she-cat had always thought the two-legs were real, but now that another suggestion had been brought up, she wasn't so sure anymore. What if they were just a nursery tale? The black she-cat could only hope that there would be a few there to confirm her beliefs.
Seeing the campground through the trees made the apprentice's eyes widen. She hadn't expected it to be so..foreign. Why wasn't their camp underground? And why was it so open? Two-legs really made no sense. The lanky she-cat ran after Ravenpaw and stopped next to him. "I think I see one!" Spookpaw whispered to the tom and crouched down, hoping she wouldn't be seen. There it was. Tall, bald all over except for it's head, and standing on two legs while there were two more by its neck. "It looks so weird!"

Silverfin tipped her head to the side in thought when Howlingmoon offered to teach her. Would it be worth it? The she-cat wasn't so sure; climbing had never been fun in her mind. Climbing left her pawpads sore and grimy from bark chips, but Howlingmoon seemed like such a nice tomcat and perhaps it wouldn't hurt to try and make a friend other than her brother. Maybe it would be the better choice to accept his offer. What could it hurt? "That sounds great, Howlingmoon. Are you sure you would want to do that?" Howlingmoon had an apprentice along with being a respected warrior. Would he be able to juggle all three things - being a warrior, a mentor, and something like a mentor to Silverfin?
Sure, mentioning her parents could grow into a depressing topic, but Silverfin wasn't all that sad about it. Even if her parents' deaths had been relatively not that long ago, the silver she-cat wasn't all that caught up in it. They had been loyal warriors, true to their word and their Clan. They had lived out long, full lives and StarClan was sure to welcome them with open paws. If anything Silverfin was proud of them and felt a sense of happiness that they could be reunited with their own friends and parents. "I'm glad that I can as well," she mewed with a slight dip of her head. It wasn't long after she had said those words when the soft sounds of the stream caught her attention. Silverfin perked her ears up, her pace automatically quickening in excitement.
