Spookpaw rolled her eyes at the tom. "My name isn't Spookpaw for nothing!" She proclaim, twitching her big ears with a smirky smile. She stayed in her same position, watching him closely, eyes still bright and jovial. Before she knew it, the tom had her pinned down on the ground and she did her best to turn her neck to look back at him. "I didn't think you'd actually strike back!" She said, rolling her eyes. "Since when are you a fighter?" She huffed, though there was still a playful tone to her voice.

Ravenpaw let out a fake evil laugh of victory before releasing his fellow apprentice, beaming with triumph. "Me? A fighter?" He meowed, laughter filling his voice. "We all know I am no fighter." He admitted with another small giggle. "But I do like to get my revenge." With that, he sat down on the ground next to her and licked his paw and rubbed it over his face and whiskers. He didn't let his guard down, however, and every few seconds he would glance back over at the dark she-cat to make sure she wouldn't get revenge for his revenge.

Two similar figures were walking back into camp together, prey clamped tightly in both of their jaws. Two long-legged felines, one fairly taller than the other, made their way to the fresh-kill pile, placing a sparrow and vole on the pile. With the prey out of their jaws, the taller feline turned to the shorter, smiling very briefly. "Well done, Leopardpaw. You've been learning a lot under Poppystar."
The smaller of the two, Leopardpaw, puffed his chest out in pride at the she-cat's praise. Even if Silverfin was his older sibling, the apprentice looked up to the feathery furred female. She was, in his opinion, a prime example of the warrior he strived to be. With their parents gone to StarClan, Leopardpaw also somewhat saw Silverfin as a mother in some way. While she took after their father more than their mother - Leopardpaw took after their mother - her personality was much like the she-cat that had birthed them. But enough of that. Leopardpaw smiled up at Silverfin. "I have. Poppystar is an amazing mentor, and not just because she's leader!" He added with a mrrrow of laughter. Even if Poppystar wasn't leader Leopardpaw would still see her as an amazing mentor.
Silverfin offered yet another smile. She was glad to see how well her little brother was coming along with his training. "Keep this up and you'll make one of the finest warriors in the Clan." With that Silverfin turned to pad away, but not before flicking her tail over the tom's back in a familiar dismissal.
Leopardpaw watched as she walked off, pride still bubbling warm in his chest. She was right. If he kept up like this in his training, he would become a great warrior.

[ my child has arrived ]
---
Spookpaw rolled her eyes at the tom, though she couldn't help but laugh along with him, though hers was normal. "Maybe with practice you'll get better. That move wasn't too bad!" She said. When the black tom let go of her, Spookpaw got up and turned back to the tom, shaking out her pelt. The she-cat took a few steps forward and sat down next to tom, beginning to groom her pelt. She had no intention of pouncing back on Ravenpaw, even though it had been enjoyable.
~~
Howlingmoon was lying on the ground just outside of the warriors den as Silverfin and Leopardpaw padded into camp. He watched the two cats, studying how they walked into camp with prey. He knew that he should go out and hunt, but part of him didn't want to be alone while doing it. "Hey Silverfin." He spoke, sitting up. The large tom knew that she probably didn't want to go out and hunt again, but surely it wouldn't hurt to maybe go on a walk? Howlingmoon was itching to get out of camp and feel the breeze through his pelt.

Upon hearing her name, Silverfin stopped, ears perking up and swiveling forward. Her amber-green eyes caught sight of a familiar face soon after, and a smile of greeting wrapped across her thin muzzle. "Howlingmoon, how are you?" The tabby questioned as she padded over to the large male. Howlingmoon was a fine warrior in Silverfin's mind, an interesting warrior to be around. She did, however, wonder what exactly he had in plan. Just a chat? Or perhaps something more productive?

Ravenpaw shrugged. "Maybe. Not likely." He meowed, only half-joking. He knew he'd most likely never be that great of a fighter, but he made up for it in other ways. A moment later, he got an idea. "Do you have any training sessions planned with Raggedbite today?" He asked a little too casually. He knew Spookpaw was one of the more fun apprentices, so he hoped that she'd be up for one of Ravenpaw's mischievous escapades.

Howlingmoon perked his ears when Silverfin padded up to him. "I'm good." He answered. "You?" The tom shook out his thick pelt and sat back down, wrapping his tail over his paws. He hadn't really thought of what to say, and he didn't really know why he had called the she-cat over. And without knowing what to say, he didn't know if he should invite her to go out and hunt or take a walk. Taking a walk didn't seem very productive in his mind, especially since he hadn't gotten to hunt or anything yet, but maybe if they took one he could hunt along the way. The tom knew he was overthinking things, but he couldn't help it. Maybe Silverfin would be able to ease his mind.
~~
Spookpaw gave a small nod, practically half of one, at his words. She knew that Ravenpaw wasn't the best at fighting, but she knew that he could get better with practice. When the tom perked up, she was distracted from her thoughts and tilted her head. A confused look came across her prominent features. The she-cat silently listened to him, and a smirk appeared over her lips at his question. "Not that I know of." She mewed, green eyes lighting up. "Why?"

Ravenpaw smiled at her answer. "Cool." He meowed, acting very nonchalant, hoping no one was eavesdropping. "I was just thinking, maybe..." He trailed off, thinking twice about his idea. But, this was Ravenpaw, so that second thought didn't last very long. His voice dropped to a low whisper as he leaned in closer to her. "Wanna come with me to the two-leg campground?" He asked, eyes lit up with curiousity and excitement. He'd only been there once, when Hawkfeather first showed him the territory when he was just 6 moons old and first made an apprentice. But he wanted to see it again, maybe venturing closer to it than he first had.

Even if she came off as distant and cold to her Clanmates at time, Silverfin did truly care about the well-being of her Clanmates. These were the cats she hunted and patrolled with; without them she wouldn't be a true Clan cat. She relied on them as much as they relied on her, and she accepted that and knew that. Silverfin prided herself on being able to do a lot by herself, but she knew, in the long run, it was the Clan that held her together and made her who she was.
While she was somewhat hesitant to get too friendly with the large tomcat, Silverfin was open enough to show that she cared about him like a Clanmate should. "I'm glad to hear. I'm doing fine as well. The prey has been running well," she mewed with a gesture toward the fresh-kill pile. "It would be worth to go out and try your luck." It was almost as if Silverfin had read his mind once she brought up the topic of hunting. And while she had just returned from a swift hunting trip, she would not be against going once again.

[ Sorry for that poof! ]
---
When Ravenpaw started whispering, Spookpaw leaned in slightly so she could hear the tom better. She already had excellent hearing, especially with her large ears, but since he was being quiet she didn't see why not. At the tom's question, Spookpaw's eyes lit up and she pulled away to look at him. "Totally." She mewed, a smirk on her face. Hopefully Raggedbite wouldn't care too much if she left camp, and if he did, it was a consequence she was willing to risk.
~~
Howlingmoon was a kind tom, and it seemed that most cats in the clan realized that. He had never had a bone to pick with someone, and if he did disagree with someone or if someone was acting strangely toward him, he had no problem with going up to that cat and talking about it. While he was usually calm and caring, Howlingmoon did have one weakness. He could be very protective. Probably a bit too protective. Even though he didn't have a mate or kits, it sometimes translated onto his clanmates.
The large tom gave a small smile at SIlverfin's words. He was glad the prey was doing so well. The clan was going to need all they could get with leaf-bare approaching. When she brought up hunting, that made Howlingmoon perk up his ears. He was a bit relieved that he didn't have to be the one to bring it up. "Yeah..I probably should." He said. "Would you like to go? I know you just got back, so if you don't that's alright."

As she agreed, Ravenpaw's excitement grew and his heart sped up slightly. "We should go now, while the others are busy and no one will notice us leave." He meowed, looking around and seeing the rest of the clan preoccupied by their own things. His tail lashed in excitement; These were the kinds of things he did all the time and was known for, yet he never grew tired of the thrill.

Spookpaw nodded at Ravenpaw's suggestion. "You're right." She said and stood up, glancing around camp. "Let's go before anyone sees." With that the black she-cat padded away, light on her paws. They were right near the camp entrance, so she was sure that they would be able to get out before being noticed; that is, if they hurried and were quiet. And while Spookpaw didn't think it was against clan rules for apprentices to go out on their own, she wasn't entirely certain. She just knew that if Poppystar found out about where they were going, they'd be cleaning bedding for weeks.

Ravenpaw nodded, looking around him to make sure nobody was watching or secretly listening in on their conversation. He couldn't hold back a small smile of mischief as he headed out of camp entrance beside Spookpaw. Trying to make as little noise as possible, but still be quick, he tread lightly yet kept a pace at a slight jog. Once they made it out of camp entrance and were in the territory, he felt more confident but still kept a decent pace. "If anyone asks, we're just going hunting." He meowed to her quietly, ears pricked in case there were nearby footsteps.

Spookpaw padded forward, her paw steps light on the dusty ground. She knew that she would be able to slip past the clan seeing as StarClan blessed her with a willowy and light body, but she wasn't sure about Ravenpaw. Though, why suggest something if you couldn't carry it out? When the two slipped out of camp, Spookpaw relaxed a bit, though she was still on high alert. She knew they needed to be careful until they got far enough away from camp. When the black tom beside her spoke up, she looked over at him and nodded. "Sounds good." She whispered back, swiveling her ears around to try and pick up sounds.

As they moved further into the territory, Ravenpaw was growing more and more relaxed. The further they were from camp, the less likely they were to get caught; He knew from experience. As he walked, his flexed his claws into the earth, itching to possibly catch a glimpse of two-legs. He'd never seen them before, and he's heard strange stories about them. Suddenly, he hissed in fright as he heard a twig snap. He laid his ears flat and pressed his body to the earth. But, as he scented the air, he could only detect squirrel, and a few seconds later he saw it scurry away ahead of them. Embarrassment flooded him, and he gave his chest a few licks before meowing, "It was just a squirrel."

Spookpaw slowed her pace so she could walk next to the tom. Feeling the breeze through her pelt caused her to give a small purr, her eyes lighting up as she saw the tree leaves rustling. Green-leaf was her favorite season, and she was proud to admit it. When Ravenpaw hissed, Spookpaw was snapped out of her thoughts. Instinctively she jumped, back arched slightly and eyes narrowed, ready for whatever might be taking place. When she noticed the squirrel ahead and Ravenpaw's explanation, she gave a small giggle, calming down. Spookpaw lightly batted him over the ear. "Maybe Hawkfeather should teach you some tracking skills, too." She teased, her eyes glittering in amusement.

Alrighty, have a good night ^^ }}
Ravenpaws ears stayed flat for a moment as his embarrassment passed. "Hey!" He meowed in indignation, though his whiskers gave away his amusement and lightheartedness. "My tracking skills are just fine!" He said confidently, lifting his head and tail as he walked forward, trying to regain his confidence. "I just wasn't paying attention is all." He argued, which was only half-true. He was paying attention, but was more so making sure they didn't get caught. "And you didn't scent it either." He pointed out with a grin as he gave her a quick glance.

When it came to supporting her Clan, Silverfin didn't mind doing anything more than once. She was totally fine with going out to hunt once again, it would make her feel productive, especially after she had only brought back one sparrow earlier. While she and Leopardpaw had not really been hunting, more or less spending time together, they had brought back a bit, but she needed to really get out there and catch something. So going with Howlingmoon, a kind tom that Silverfin would like to spend some more time with, was no big deal. If anything, the Oriental was more than ready to get out there.
"Do you have anywhere you would like to go? Leopardpaw and I just went around Rabbit Ridge. No rabbits, but a few other things," the silver she-cat informed. "We could try somewhere else." While Silverfin didn't really mind where they went, a part of her silently hoped that Howlingmoon would suggest somewhere near a fishing stream.

Spookpaw gave a small snort and padded after Ravenpaw. She stayed silent. She knew the tom was good, but it was fun to mess around with him. At his next statement she flicked him with her tail. "Nuh-uh!" She exclaimed, shaking her head. "I knew the squirrel was there. I was just testing you." She snorted. She knew the tom was right, but she was never going to admit that. Spook paw's ego was too high. She was always right, and everyone else was wrong. That's just how it was.
~~
Howlingmoon stopped to think for a minute. He had planned on going to Rabbit Ridge, but since Silverfin had just gotten back, the tom decided against it. He blinked and tipped his head. "What about on the way to Crystal Cavern?" He asked. "There are a few streams along the way, and of course woods, so there's a variety." The large tom had never prided himself with being a good fisher, but he knew Silverfin enjoyed it- or at least he guessed it. Her name was Silverfin after all. There had to be a reason behind that.

Shadowfern lazily laid next to Crackedpaws, flicking her tail against the ground. The light colored tom was talking her ear off about going out to hunt, and now Shadowfern was seriously considering it. The black tabby she-cat gently placed her paw on the elder's tail after reconsidering her though. "You know I can't do that." She sighed, watching him. She hated telling the older cat no, especially considering his situation.
The she-cat gently pressed her nose to the elder's cheek in a comforting motion. "I'll be back to come see with you later, so you want anything?" She asked, her green eyes comforting. When the tom rasped a simple 'no', Shadowfern nodded and got up, padding away. She hated seeing Crackedpads in such a vulnerable position. The two weren't related, but Shadowfern felt as if she owed the tom something. He had always been there for her, and when no one would talk to her, he would. She loved the tom as if he were her own father. As she was mindlessly walking, the quiet she-cat bumped into Hawkfeather. "Oh!" She exclaimed, taking a step back. "I'm sorry! I wasn't paying attention." Her dark tabby pelt heated up and she lowered her head a bit. She had stumbled over her words slightly and was just adding to her embarrassment. Shadowfern had never felt like she was very good with other cats. [ well i ended up accidentally editing the post instead of quoting it xD but here 'tis~ ] SaveSave

Shadowfern nodded quietly at Hawkfeather's forgiveness. She had always heard of the tom being snappy, and his gentleness surprised her. She shook her pelt and lifted her head, standing back in her normal stance. "Yeah, sure." She answered, flicking an ear back at his question. The tabby she-cat turned and headed toward the entrance of the camp.
