Howlingmoon nodded at Silverfin's words. "Of course! Unless you don't want to do it. I wouldn't want to force you into it." The tom knew that not all cats enjoyed climbing trees, and he didn't want to make Silverfin do it. She seemed perfectly happy on the ground and in the water and if she wanted to stay like that then so be it. Howlingmoon didn't want anyone to be uncomfortable.
The large tom walked along with Silverfin. He was a bit surprised that the mention of deceased cats, especially parents, wasn't turning depressing, but in fact, almost reassuring. It was nice to be able to speak about these things without sadness overcoming you. Howlingmoon knew that Sootstream and Willowstep had lived fulfilling lives and were in StarClan, so why be sad? He gave a nod at Silverfin's words and looked ahead. A small stream was peeking through the trees and he could feel the silver she-cats excitement. He gave a small chuckle and quickened his pace to match hers. "I guess we should split up? That way you can fish and I can go hunt something else?"

Well... Learning to climb a little better wouldn't hurt. Leopardpaw was a decent climber, and when the two siblings went out on hunting trips together Silverfin did feel a bit out of place when he would dart after a squirrel right up into a tree. Maybe learning a few of the basic climbing skills would be a good idea... "It sounds like fun. If you have time, I would love to learn." And she truly would.
Silverfin, along with being excited somewhat about learning how to climb, was exceedingly excited about fishing. She started bounding over to the bubbling stream, a deep purr vibrating along her throat. "Hmm?" The she-cat stopped only when she heard Howlingmoon speak up. "Oh! Uh, sure. If that's what you would rather," she replied somewhat absent-minded, already more attentive to the aspect of fishing than her companion.

Howlingmoon nodded at Silverfin's acceptance. "Just tell me when. If I'm not busy I'd be happy to help." He mewed simply, flicking an ear.
The large tom followed after the she-cat, though his pace was much slower. He had never been one to get excited over water- he didn't even like to get his paws wet. The tom padded up to the water's edge and bent down, gently lapping at the water to get a small sip. After his suggestion, Howlingmoon nodded. He could tell the she-cat didn't want to be bothered, so why try? Howlingmoon padded off a bit into the trees, in search of his own prey.

Silverfin nodded to the tomcat. "Sounds great," she mewed as a faint smile slipped over her muzzle. She wanted to learn how to climb, but she wanted to concentrate on fishing now. Fishing was her thing, and she wasn't going to let any other thoughts intrude as she did what she could do best.

[ I honestly haven't thought of it xD I guess we could have there be a few around uwu ] --- Spookpaw followed after Ravenpaw, staying quiet. The she-cat had always thought the two-legs were real, but now that another suggestion had been brought up, she wasn't so sure anymore. What if they were just a nursery tale? The black she-cat could only hope that there would be a few there to confirm her beliefs.
Seeing the campground through the trees made the apprentice's eyes widen. She hadn't expected it to be so..foreign. Why wasn't their camp underground? And why was it so open? Two-legs really made no sense. The lanky she-cat ran after Ravenpaw and stopped next to him. "I think I see one!" Spookpaw whispered to the tom and crouched down, hoping she wouldn't be seen. There it was. Tall, bald all over except for it's head, and standing on two legs while there were two more by its neck. "It looks so weird!" Ravenpaws eyes widened as he crouched down, suddenly more scared than he thought he'd be. It looked nothing like he'd ever seen before. They were huge, and there were smaller versions of it near its head. "Are those its... kits?" He questioned, face turning sour as they walked. Looking around, he noticed something glowing in the corner of his eye. "Is that fire? Why aren't they running?" He asked, taking a pawstep back. The stories were true; These things were strange, to put it lightly. He noticed a few more further away, not as big as the other one, but not as small as the ones by its neck. "The stories were all true..." He drifted off, his eyes dilated and fur on end.

[ Alright, I'll make a started c; ]
----
Fennecpaw was sitting just inside the medicine cat den sorting herbs. His plumy tail was resting just outside the den and had the occasional flick again the ground with the tip. The tom was doing what he always did. His life was revolved around the medicine den, even as a cat. This was all he had ever wanted to do, and it thanked StarClan every day for making it possible. The lithe tabby tom stopped what he was doing when he felt his stomach rumble. He had wanted to get this all done in one sitting, but there was no way he could stop his hunger. Maybe he could even find some help in the camp...
The cream tabby tom got up and turned out of the medicine cat's den, poking his head out. He cast his pale green gaze across camp before stepping out. Fennecpaw wasn't one for talking to others and generally didn't want to. It wasn't that he disliked other cats, in fact he truly loved them, he just never considered himself to be good with them. He was hesitant at the thought of having help, but he knew it probably had to be done. The tom shook his head slightly and padded up to the fresh kill pile. He grabbed a small mouse and settled down to eat, hoping this would be quick so he could get back to his work.
~~
Spookpaw shrugged her black shoulders at Ravenpaw's questions. The she-cat wasn't really sure what to say, but for some reason she was interested. Why weren't the running from the fire? Why were its kits on its shoulders? The lanky she-cat crept forward a few steps and turned her head back to Ravenpaw. "Don't you wanna get a closer look?" She mewed, her voice low and quiet. She didn't want the two-legs to hear her. For some reason they couldn't sense them, though Spookpaw wasn't necessarily upset about that. Maybe they just didn't have a sense of smell.

Ravenpaws eyes kept flicking back to the fire to make sure it wouldn't spread, but it was surrounded by rocks, and didn't look like it would go anywhere. He watched the two-leg kits play, narrowing his eyes as they passed around a circular-looking thing. He turned his head towards Spookpaw with a grin on his face at her suggestion. ""I thought you'd never ask!" He whispered with enthusiasm, not waiting another moment to creep forward in a stalking position. He stayed very aware of his surroundings; There was no way he was about to be hunted by one of these things.

When Ravenpaw perked up and agreed a smirk came across SPookpaw's face. "Good! I thought you were a scaredy-mouse for a second." She teased, shooting him a playful look before creeping after him. She wasn't sure what these creatures were doing, and she didn't know if she would find out, but it would certainly be interesting to have a closer look. The black she-cat crept forward, then stopped at a short distance away. She close enough to see better, but still far enough away not to be seen. "What do you think they're doing?" She asked Ravenpaw quietly.

Ravenpaw laughed quietly. "Me? A scaredy-mouse?" He repeated, a smile forming on his lips. "Who do you think I am?" It was a rhetorical question, as he didn't pay attention to her response, if she decided to give one. Instead, his focus turned back to the two-legs as he crept forward a few more paw steps. He was dangerously close, but he wanted to get the full effect of what they were doing, and what the campsite was like. "I have no idea, but they look happy. At least the kits do." He meowed, looking at the smiles on their faces as they ran and jumped around. The bigger ones, however didn't seem to be having as much fun, but they did make a weird noise once in a while as the spoke to each other.

Spookpaw rolled her eyes at Ravenpaw's response. He had been the one with wide eyes and puffed out fur, not her. She wasn't going to bring that up, though. The she-cat crept after him and crouched beside him in the grass. She peered through the foliage and watched the two-legs, a confused look on her face. They were a breed she would never understand, and she was happy about that. She enjoyed her clan life and didn't want to worry about anything else. Spookpaw nodded at his words. "Yeah. I guess."

Ravenpaws narrowed eyes widened when he saw a few of the kits looking in their direction, but they didn't give chase, or just didn't notice them. Shaking out his fur slightly, he began to back away. "Ready to go back?" He asked, although he probably would leave whether she went with him or not. He wasn't understanding anything they were doing, plus he didn't want to risk getting attacked or taken away. Maybe he'd go back in leaf-bare, when no two-legs were there to get a look on the inside.

Spookpaw narrowed her eyes as the two-leg kits looked in their direction, her sleek black pelt rising slightly. She didn't want those two-legs to come any closer, and lucky for her and Ravenpaw, they didn't seem to notice them. She gave a small sigh of relief and shook her head along with Ravenpaw. "Yeah, let's go." She said. "They're boring." The two-legs weren't doing anything worth watching and the she-cat didn't see the need to stand around and watch for more. Spookpaw turned and began padding back in the direction they came, looking back over her shoulder to get one last look.

Ravenpaw quickly agree'd as he slunk out of the bushes and headed back towards camp. His tail trailed on the ground, and he didn't care to hide his disappointment. "That was pretty anticlimactic, huh?" He offered with a small, forced chuckle. Sighing, he continued on, his pace considerably slower than what it had been on their way to the campsite. "At least we found out that they actually exist." He meowed, trying to make light of the situation.

Even after Silverfin had left, Leopardpaw had stayed put. He was proud of the catch that he had caught, even if it had just been one mouse. It was still something. He had been in training for three moons now. Over that time he had learned a lot from the great Poppystar; she was an amazing mentor, passionate and caring, yet strict when she needed to be so he could learn what he needed. In a way she reminded him of Silverfin. But while he saw Silverfin as exactly what she was - his big sister - he somewhat saw Poppystar as a second mother figure. After Willowstep had passed away, his mentor had been the only other female he had been close to. Sure, Poppystar was his mentor, but she also meant a lot to him.
Anyway, back to the point of why he was at the fresh-kill pile.
Leopardpaw himself wasn’t all that hungry. He was just sort of being himself, eyeing his catch with pride glinting in his soft gaze. He would have probably sat there for a good while if not for movement catching his attention in his peripheral. He sat up, not wanting to be rude if some other cat was there and he remained silent.
”Fennecpaw!” The gray tabby chirped, smiling warmly at the typically quiet medicine cat apprentice. ”Nice day, huh?” He questioned, wanting to start up some sort of conversation.

Spookpaw nodded at Ravenpaw's words. "Yeah.." She agreed, her voice a bit quiet. "They aren't as interesting as I heard, though." She flicked an ear. The elders had always spoken of them being evil and having more to offer, but the ones she and Ravenpaw had just seen, well, they were far from interesting. She gave a small sigh. "Maybe someday we'll see them be more interesting, or if anything, something interesting at all."

Hearing his name made Fennecpaw jump. The tom hadn't been paying much attention to his surroundings, only the mouse that was in front of him. Was something wrong? Or was this another mere joke being played? The cream tabby looked in the direction of the sound and found Leopardpaw. "H-hello Leopardpaw." He mewed, his voice a bit shaky as he began speaking. "Yeah..very nice." His tone was soft and quiet as he spoke, not bold and confident like most of the cats in the clan. Fennecpaw had never seen himself as a strong cat, especially as a kit. He was always picked on and tossed aside by the others for his since of individuality, but that had all changed when he was selected to be the medicine cat apprentice. He found his sense of self, his comfort zone. He had finally begun to feel like an asset to the clan.
The slender tom scooted over slightly, doing his best to look inviting. "So, um, how are you?"

A warm smile spread over Leopardpaw's face when Fennecpaw acknowledged him. "I'm glad to hear. They prey has been running quite well. They must think that today is just as nice as we think it is," he purred with a happy curl of his shorter than average tail. Once he stopped speaking he went silent for a while; he didn't know just a whole lot about Fennecpaw, but he knew the cream tabby was soft-spoken for the most part, shy and quiet. He never really interacted with other cats unless he had to, and usually when he had to that was when he was practicing and learning under the supervision of his mentor. While Leopardpaw knew he himself could never be a medicine cat, he admired the cats that could do it. He thought Fennecpaw was an honorable cat, and one to be respected at that.
Leopardpaw's smile grew somewhat as Fennecpaw scooted over a bit. "I'm good. What about you? Learn anything interesting today?" The warrior apprentice was curious to know. He didn't understand much about herbs, but it was cool to know that there was something out there, something as simple as a plant, that could heal a cat as well as it did.

Fennecpaw nodded with a faint smile. "That's good." He mewed, flicking his ear. The tabby tom didn't know much about hunting. He had never been good at any of the little games the other nursery kits had played. He was always too busy dreaming about the medicine cat den or trying to help out in there in any way possible. That was all he had ever wanted to do; it was like he was destined for it. If the medicine cat apprentice spot hadn't been open when it was, then Fennecpaw had no idea what else he would be doing. The tom knew he would be no asset to the clan as a warrior.
Fennecpaw tipped his head slightly as Leopardpaw smiled. He didn't think he had done anything of worth, but maybe it was the kindness he had put forth. At the question, Fennecpaw gave a shrug. "Not really. Just sorting through a bunch of herbs." He said, looking up at the other apprentice. "I had to stop to come get something to eat, though."

Crackedpads was lounging outside of the elder's den, gently thumping his tail against the smooth ground. The creamy-tan tom gave a small sigh and rested his chin on his forepaws, looking out across the camp. While he vision was almost gone, he could make out the basic shapes of what was happening around him. The elder wished everyday that someone would be willing to accompany him outside of camp, but there answer was always, "Not today, Crackedpads." The tom had been an elder for many moons now, but he had still not gotten used to it.

Hearing his name, Crackedpads lifted his head and turned it in the direction of the noise. "Twistedtoe." He thought to himself as he made out the voice. "Hello Twistedtoe." The tom rasped in return, voice raised slightly. As the tom came in his direction, Crackedpads sat up into a crouch. "Thank you." He mewed, giving the elder a thankful lick on the ear.
