muse is kinda iffy so replies aren't the greatest this moon, but something is up at least~ Brownie - just wanted to let you know that, starting tomorrow, i'll be pretty busy for the rest of the week, so i may not be able to post anything for next moon ^^; |

I’ve got no clue why Stormmask is going after Pondspeckle, but wth? I don’t remember them interacting that much.
Spottedfur seems to have turned into the grumpy old man that I expected. It’s funny how the kits are annoyed with him.
I’ll try to get up posts tonight or tomorrow. I’m hoping for tonight mostly.

Yeah I think its best to delay. I've been knocked out a bit as I adjust to the antibiotics I'm finally on plus with the holiday.. like I was about to come on here and at least post my plans if I didn't have enough time to type it out. Delaying a bit would help me be able to get it out after all  |

I just saw we're delaying, so it's not super relevant now, but I'll give an update on Monday too. My cat was hospitalized today and my dog passed away on Sunday, so it's been a rough week. Hopefully he'll be okay and I can post on Monday but we'll see. I may need some time to like, cope ya know

Hi everyone, little update from me. I'm currently dealing with a hurricane passing through and lost power, so my morale is a bit low. Needless to say, it's looking rough out there. Responses will likely be slow today. Don't worry, I'll still comment on the moon at least!

i wonder if heavy's is due in part to her acknowledging she's the senior most warrior (other than Bubblingstar) that isn't in the elders' den and is realizing she's never had an apprentice or anything of the sorts. She's getting older and wants to pass on her knowledge to others
it's a work in progress thought bubble, i'll probably get more of a lore drop when i work on replies later

Hazelpelt did a 180 with her personality there, wth.
I've had a cat that went from bloodthirsty, to ambitious and then insecure before in clangen.
I'm so happy that Slatefoot & Hazelpelt got apprentices though ;w;.

since Cometchaos is gone for the next 9 days or so, I can start the patrol with Stormmask, Slatefoot, Foxpaw, and Shadepatch.

I like how much attention Cinderdapple and Hayfeather have been getting from Dappleswipe recently. The former looks so much like Stemriver; I think Dappleswipe compares her to him a lot. Perhaps that could be basis for their argument?

I don't know if you know how Clangen personalities are generated, but they have this system of four "facets": lawfulness, sociability, aggression, and stability, each ranging from 0-16. Interactions your cat makes and the patrols they go on can change these values. Each personality trait has a range of values that are acceptable for that trait, but once one of them goes over or under the accepted range, the trait is rerolled to a new trait that does fits the new ranges. Insecure has high lawfulness and aggression and low sociability and stability Vengeful has high aggression, but low sociability and lawfulness and very low stability (0-4). So apparently her stability and lawfulness dropped enough to fit vengeful range. idk how much of this is "we simply need mutually exclusive ranges" lmao but maybe that's helpful to drum up some potential thoughts? It's not like she hates anyone in the Clan. Perhaps it's simply that she's losing confidence in Bubblingstar's leadership now that he's injured and elderly. I also often swing "vengeful" to mean "overprotective" in contexts where that makes more sense. ^^ and he's being a good leader!! Feathertalon while I have the ranges open... that means heavy's sociability facet increased, moving her out of the "0-8" sociability of insecure to "8-16" of ambitious. It's likely her other facets remained similar or the same. whispering Hayfeather's Oblivious trait was high lawful, stability; very high sociability and low aggression. Loving has a slightly higher tolerance for all lawfulness, stability and aggression, so he could have shifted upwards in any of those categories by 1-2 points. If he keeps moving that way, it's likely his trait will change again soon. chocolatemilk7 Drizzlemimic was strict (high ranges, over half lawful/aggression/stability, under half sociability) to loyal (very high lawful, any sociability, middling aggression/stability) likely one of his traits dropped below 8 and rolled him into a broad catagory. (I love seeing the game mechanics haha. They aren't documented very well, but it's fun to poke through the dicts and code and figure it out) |

Ohhhh! Knowing that makes it make more sense to me! Heavy’s been shown to take in a lot of kits and newcomers so her sociability going up makes sense. Maybe now she feels more secure in her place within the Clan since she has a stable relationship with a lot of the cats. Feeling like she truly belongs makes it possible for her to show another side of her and I guess that side is ambition!
