Hey everyone! Sorry for being silent this moon, but I'm plenty active today! Once next moon drops I'll start working on my responses immediately.
The StarClan landmark ideas seem very interesting. The waterfall is also my personal favorite <3

Waterfall it is then, unless a bunch of people come in voting for something else
So now we need to decide name:
Mooncliff, Moonfall, Mooncascade, or something else
AND we need to decide if they drink from the river that comes out of it and then fall asleep OR go behind the waterfall into a cave and fall asleep there
AND we ALSO need to decide whose territory it's on.

I also like the Moonfall, but I think it could be somewhere outside of clan territory, but close by. The Moonstone/pool technically isn't on clan territory, even if you need to pass through another clan's territory to get there.

it makes sense that it would be somewhere just north of YewClan/FlowerClan and that medicine cats would be able to walk along the edges of the creek to get there. Maybe they even meet up around the Green Pond at dusk (or earlier, if they want to socialize a bit) since that landmark touches all four territories.
I think leaving the actual ceremony more open to be evolved upon/described by whoever's cats are participating isn't a bad idea tho.

ALSO jaybun! lazzylake if ya want to do the retirement this moon... it might be fitting. Bubblingstar can never retire himself in game (neither can healers) so its up to yall to pick the moment in the story and let me know so I can weave some file-editing magic before the next moon~ |

Oh and there's also a great opportunity for Frozen, Hay and Pond to have a bonding moment this moon! Do yall have any ideas what that could be about?
Frozenlaurel had a thought bubble about missing cats from his past life, which I took to mean his mate. Would yall like to maybe have him pull them aside and tell stories about how he got to know their mother back in the city?

I'm copying and pasting a previous idea I had for the leadership ceremony to refresh people's memories!
Although it would need to be modified of course for traveling to the waterfall, I think this would still stand as a festival to get more cats involved in interacting with StarClan. Maybe after the leader gets their lives? Just a thought
But yes I'd be fine for retirement next moon! Dappleswipe's prompts seem pretty easy to write for which gives me more time to do planning.

What should the omen be about & who should recieve the dream? It makes sense for it to be Storm but if it was Pond that could be why they're patrolling together. Also should the omen/dream be about Bubbling retiring? I think that would make sense. |

Dappleswipe's mentor and the last deputy was FrostFLECK so it would be a nice full circle moment <3 On the subject of the leadership ceremony, I'm debating on who will sort of give a rundown on how the lives will be handed out since it's an unusual case with Bubblingstar. I mean, Mosspond is right there but I also want to give Cloudystar more depth I hope Bubblingstar would be able to recover before the journey. That's kind of why I want to do a festival at camp to ensure the cats can have interactions with StarClan cats who have passed on. Can those in StarClan be used as NPCs for the post nine lives festival? |
