Duskfeather- Training with Hawkpaw Initially, Hawkpaw wasn’t convinced by the deputy’s words. After giving it a little thought, Duskfeather decided to go for round 2 with the geese. He was probably just gonna get chased away again, like in his apprenticeship, but as least he could prove his point to Hawkpaw. Duskfeather snuck through the fence and entered the yard. He quietly approached the goose and tried to lunge for its neck, its only possible weak point. The goose flinched and turned around, aggressively honking at Duskfeather, while flapping its wings to appear bigger and intimate. Not like it was needed, the bird was already huge compared to a cat. The black tabby stood his ground, hissing at the animal, but as its companions started honking at him too, he knew it was time to make a run for it. He turned tail and ran, being closely followed by the geese. Unfortunately for them, cats are faster and more agile, so we was able to safely get back to Hawkpaw. “And that’s why we don’t hunt them”, Duskfeather said while panting. The deputy and his apprentice were on their way back to the clan camp. Hawkpaw promised to never get close to the geese. Duskfeather was happy he instilled a lesson, but hoped he didn’t scare the apprentice. Fear was not the tool he wanted to use for teaching. "When will i get my warrior name?", asked Hawkpaw. Of course. The question every mentor dreaded to to asked. The truth was there was no clear way to know when an apprentice would become a warrior. “It will happen when both me and Fawnstar decide you are ready for the responsibilities of being a warrior. I know you might be impatient, but you are still young and have much to learn. Early promotions are rare, and usually don’t benefit the cat all that much. All they get are weird looks at Gatherings when they tell others they’re already a warrior”, he said with a laugh in his voice. “You will become a great warrior, I’m sure of it. But there’s no need to rush things.”. Tagging Hawkheart

Hawkpaw replying to duskfeather"- You will become a great warrior, im sure of it. But theres no need to rush things." Hawkpaw nodded slowly- " I guess your right." He said then looked up at duskfeather. Hawkpaw then thought about having a deputy for a mentor. To him he felt pride as being the apprentice to one of the most important cats in all the clan and he asked- " I want to be deputy some day..." Hawkpaw paused. Then continued feeling self-conscience " Whats it like?" Tagging- chocolatemilk7

Duskfeather- Training with Hawkpaw "I want to be deputy some day... Whats it like?“ Hawkpaw asked the deputy. Duskfeather hesitated for a moment before answering. Being deputy was a big responsibility. He liked his position in the clan, but not because he was power-hungry or ambitious. He loved PlumClan more than anything else and being deputy simply allowed to protect the clan better and make sure it survives and thrives. “It’s a complicated job. You always have to organize patrols, making sure that all the borders and checked and enough prey is hunted. Since you are the clan’s second in command, you will often have to make important decisions when the leader isn’t there, like when confronting trespassing cats on patrol. It’s a big responsibility, but I’m happy with my position nonetheless.” Duskfeather smiled and looked up at the sky. “I’m thankful to StarClan that I was as lucky enough as to have an important position in my clan that I love so much.”. Duskfeather thought for a second about what advice he could give to Hawkpaw about becoming deputy. The black tabby also wanted this when he was his age, but with time, he focused on just being a useful and loyal member of PlumClan, and when the time came, it seemed he was the most suitable cat for the position. “The best advice I could give is don’t only focus on becoming deputy. Prove your loyalty and skill slowly, over time. Of course, there’s no guarantee you’ll be chosen; after all, it’s up to the leader, but a warrior who puts the clan before themself will always be a good candidate. Also, you won’t have to worry about rivaling me for the position. In a few years, I’ll retire, and someone else will be chosen.” Tagging Hawkheart

Hawkpaw talking to duskfeatherHawkpaw smiled then said- "I really want to prove my loyalty to the clan more then anything! Helping my clanmates makes me so happy and seeing my littermates having fun even more so!" Then he looked at duskfeather with admiration. "Thanks for saying all this it really helps me see what i want to be! Also..." Hawkpaw paused shyly- "Your an awesome mentor! And i want to be the kind of deputy you are in the future!" WILLOWMOUSE - Hunting with Daisypaw, Fogshard, & Nightpaw! Willowmouse's whiskers twitched as the mouth-watering scent of prey hit her tastebuds. Plumclan's forest was ripe with the fruits of greenleaf's prime; the underbrush in constant motion as rabbits and mice scurried about with their own bounties. Already she could feel the comfort of a full belly. " Daisypaw," her eyes flicked back to where her apprentice trailed behind her, " focus. How many different scents can you identify?" Finding prey was important of course, but even in the height of summer's cradle, being overwhelmed with the promise of food could leave a warrior vulnerable. Even now, Willowmouse could make out the faded scent of fox underneath it all. Cats were not the only predators about the forest, something she hoped to ensure Daisypaw never forgot. She didn't dare include Nightpaw, though she sent a meaningful glance Fogshard's way. How the young warrior trained his first apprentice was solely up to him, but she hoped he would take learn something from her example. Willowmouse remembered how prideful she'd been whilst training Fawnstar. Just the mere notion of advice from the more senior warriors had had her fur bristling. lazzylake Brownie stormshade1

Cloverfur - Border Patrol with Rindlestripe
If Cloverfur had to pick a season as the best one, he would pick newleaf. The weather was almost always great and prey ran well. The clan was almost never hungry in newleaf because the prey was as hungry as they were, but not as sharp. It seemed all of the clans got along better in the warmer moons as well, now that everycat was well fed. Only last moon had his apprentice finally become a warrior, and Cloverfur wasn't quite sure what to do with all the free time he now had on his paws. No longer he had to train his apprentice, and he now got to go on regular patrols. Cloverfur had loved training Goldtangle, and couldn't be more proud of the tom he had grown to be.
As of now, Cloverfur was patrolling the Plumclan border, near the twolegplace with his clanmate Rindlestripe. The two toms didn't talk all the often, but Cloverfur really did enjoy the company of the older warrior.
"Do you smell that?" Cloverfur took another whiff of the scent, but it confused him. It smelled of cat- and herbs. But their not a Plumclan cat. Cloverfur's fur spiked slightly, and he glanced at Rindlestripe. They were close to the border, but the scent was quite fresh. Could this cat still be on Plumclan territory? Were they a threat? It was their job to find out.
Following the scent, it didn't take too long to find the trespasser. The cat was in a twoleg garden, sniffing around the different plants that the twolegs had planted there. It was a calico molly, a pretty mix of brown and white and red. Exchanging a glance with Rindlestripe, Cloverfur quickly made himself seen. "Who are you and what are you doing on Plumclan territory?" He said. Being intimidating wasn't his favorite thing to do, and not something he was very good at it. "My names Vaxx, and I'm a traveling healer"

Hatchpaw Hatchpaw was hanging around the medicine den again. It seemed like this was one of his ‘spots’ now, with how much he visited the cats inside. Havenkit’s wounds were being bandaged with cobwebs now, and the kit seemed to be getting better. Only time would tell, though, and worry etched at the back of Hatchpaw’s mind. As he sat, he heard a spate of muttered curses coming from the medicine den. “Quickshade?” he mewed, his ears straining forwards. “Are you okay?” “Look at it!” She meowed, gesturing wildly at the herbs stores, which she had scattered all over the place. Hatchpaw didn’t know a lot about herbs, but he knew they shouldn’t look like that. The leaves were wilted and completely unusable, as Hatchpaw guessed from Quickshade’s language. He sniffed at the herbs, which certainly smelled off. Havenkit would be in danger if Quickshade didn’t have enough herbs to treat him with! He thought, understanding how important her job really was. “Is there anything I can do?” Hatchpaw asked. “Certainly there is.” Lilacshade meowed, padding up to Quickshade. “The next time I take you out on patrol, we’ll be gathering herbs with Quickshade.” Hatchpaw had to suppress his disappointment that Lilacshade wouldn’t be taking him out for battle training. At least it wouldn’t be hunting birds again. That would be another disaster… Quickshade purred. “I would appreciate the help. Wait for me to clear out the herbs stores first, though. We can’t have this blight spread to the good herbs.” Hatchpaw nodded, casting one last look at Havenkit before leaving. If he wasn’t going on patrol, where would he go? Hm… He caught sight of his littermate Hawkpaw. They seemed to be free at the moment. “Hey, Hawkpaw! Let’s go to the river together!” Hatchpaw meowed, running up to the young tomcat. Fawnstar »
Fawnstar had seven lives to give in service of her Clan. Her Clanmates only had one.
She didn’t know what had compelled her paws to itch with the need to get out of camp that morning. Content just being with her kits in the nursery, Fawnstar had expected her day to pass her by as she watched her litter and played with them during their bursts of energy. But something had pushed her outside of the nursery, outside of camp. She had assumed it to just be an innate need for fresh air, but now she was starting to believe this was no coincidence. StarClan had silently pushed her to leave camp. Fate wanted her outside of camp.
Blood roared as loud as a lion in her ears as she pushed herself to run faster and faster. Claws dug into the wet soil, tearing at newly budded sprouts and darkened ground. The rains had been a blessing for the crops that grew among the fields of PlumClan territory, yet blessings always held thinly veiled dangers. The life of a Clan cat was a dangerous one even among the gifts of nature.
The recent rain had swelled Rushing Creek. Typically full of shallow water, the creek was now more akin to a river than a creek, its water frothing and angry, hungry for anything that dared inch too close to the edge. Yowls of fear had originated from the area, and in an instant Fawnstar had bounced into action. Her Clan had witnessed too many losses in the last few moons - Shinepaw had joined their starry ancestors followed by Nightpaw. Too many young cats had lost their lives, too many apprentices joining the stars before they could understand the joy of earning their warrior names… Fawnstar had recognized Hawkpaw’s voice as he had screamed for help before the current dragged him under. Hawkpaw only had one life to give. Fawnstar could spare a life or two of her own if it meant PlumClan would see one of their apprentices make it to warriorhood.
With no hesitation the tortoiseshell flung herself into the water. Cold shock crashed through her body, the molly’s vision turning white as she entered the water. Paws fumbled, desperate for a grip, yet only liquid flowed between her. Gritting her teeth the leader mustered all the courage she had, mustered all the strength she held within her body. PlumClan cats were not strong swimmers, but a mix of adrenaline and determination kept Fawnstar afloat just long enough for her to catch up with Hawkpaw. Quickly she grabbed him by the scruff and, with a surge of force, the leader forced her way through the surging current, limbs trembling as she finally found a foothold and pushed both herself and Hawkpaw onto shore.
There she fumbled, faltering in her steps. Fortunately both she and Hawkpaw were out of the creek’s grasp. Soaked as they were, they were on dry land.
Fawnstar allowed herself only a second to breathe before turning on Hawkpaw, blue eyes wide. Her fur would have bristled if not for the fact she was weighed down by the water soaked into her pelt. ”Hawkpaw, are you okay? Can you speak?” A million different scenarios were running through Fawnstar’s mind as she looked down at the soaked bundle of brown and white tabby fur near her paws. She tried recalling everything she had been told by Amberdapple when it came to water in the lungs. She tried to recall the protocol for warming up a soaked cat who was too in shock to warm themselves back up. Fawnstar kneaded the ground in worry, pleading silently to StarClan that she had rescued Hawkpaw in time. Praying that she would not have to announce a vigil for a third PlumClan apprentice.

Forestkit .*❁ ________________________________________________________________________________________________* Is regretting eating a fly she caught * Is gentle with Blizzardkit Forestkit ruffled her fur against the wet and chilly spring air. Fawnstar had left the nursery and camp for the day, and Forestkit felt as through she was facing the terrible weather alone. How could her mother leave her to shiver? Forestkit let her head lie on her paws. She could snuggle with her littermates, but it wasn't the same as snuggling with her mother. She felt alone.
As time passed, Forestkit heard a buzzing near her right ear, and then she felt a tickle. She flicked her ear, and watched as a fly took off and began buzzing around the nursery walls. Spring brought dreary weather sometimes, but it also brought life and PREY! Forestkit leaped to her paws, ready to give chase. Could she remember the warriors crouch? She crouched and waggled her rear end awkwardly, but her body felt like it was at least sort of in the right position. Forestkit watched, and waited, and watched some more.
There! The fly landed, and in the same moment, Forestkit sprang forward. She careened around the nursery, chasing after the fly and sending moss flying over the nursery's new residents. She was too focused to notice, and after a few moments of chase, the fly landed again and the she she-kit swatted it against a wall. Stunned, the fly fell to the floor, and Forestkit quickly lapped it up.
Forestkit was proud of herself! She was going to make a great warrior one day! She could hunt, and one day she could teach her apprentice how to hunt... flies? Forestkit wrinkled her nose. Did warriors chase flies? The she-kit was suddenly hot with embarrassment, suddenly aware that the nursery was holding a new kit and queen. Had Leopardcry seen her? Was the queen going to tell the other warriors? Or worse, was she going to keep her from maybe teaching Blizzardkit one day? No warrior wanted an expert fly catcher for a mentor!
The auburn patched she-kit slowly turned around, fixing her gaze on Blizzardkit in horror. The kit was covered in moss scraps!
What have I done? Foreskit thought to herself. She needed to fix this, and fast. With a sheepish grin, Forestkit padded up to Leopardcry and dipped her head. "Sorry!" She squeaked. Gently, she began to pick the moss bits off of Blizzardkit, careful not to nip the new kit with her sharp teeth. She piled the moss next to her and then spotted one last clump on top of Leopardcry. "Ah. Uh. 'Scuse me, I'll get that." She reached a paw slowly and shakily over to Leopardcry's belly and awkwardly swatted the moss off. _____________________________________________________________________________ stormshade1 duskflight

Amberdapple Surprises Forestkit with flowers, Patrol (Feathertalon , jaybun! , lazzylake , tigersdoroar )
“Why, StarClan, can’t we even collect herbs in peace?” Amberdapple said to the sky, but quietly. StarClan was against her, she was sure. First Amberdapple had lost Shinepaw, and now Nightpaw was gone too. And now it was raining. Great. Why? Why were they against her enough to take two apprentices. Amberdapple was so sure Shinepaw would recover, she was so close! And then she was gone! Annd Nightpaw, Amberdapple had grown attached to the young molly. But StarClan had to take her, too! And then the herbs had to all be thrown away, all that hard work, gone. She wanted to cry, to scream, to do something. She had already been frustrated with StarClan, with herself, and the rain had sent her over the edge. She could’ve given Shinepaw more herbs, gone out to collect more, told Nightpaw not to go on the patrol- medicine cats were supposed to know these things! StarClan should have sent her a vision, something! Why didn’t they? Maybe they wanted to punish her for losing Shinepaw. She should’ve separated the herbs – if she had organized them better, they would be fine. It was her fault, all her fault. Amberdapple sat down, telling the rest of the patrol to go ahead, she’d catch up. Why hadn’t she done anything? Being a medicine cat meant she was supposed to protect her clanmates, not let them die. She was a terrible medicine cat, wasn’t she? The rain grew stronger, battering her pelt. She deserved it. She was soaked to the bone, but still, she sat there. After a while, she lay down, face in her paws. Why hadn’t she done more? Why wasn’t she a better medicine cat? Amberdapple didn’’t feel sorry for herself, not at all. She knew that StarClan was fair. They had done this for a reason. What had she done to upset them? “I’m sorry. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Forgive me, please.” Eventually Amberdapple drew herself up. Something caught her eye. A bright flash of colour. She dragged herself forward. The flowers still held themselves up, not falling over in the rain. She reached down and plucked the flower. Maybe one of the kits – Forestkit? – would like this. Maybe I’m not completely useless after all. And with that, she rushed to catch up to the patrol.
Nightpaw Death (Brownie , Hawkheart , chocolatemilk7 ) Nightpaw was trailing behind. Not for much reason other than that she liked to hear the birds. Birds were nice. Tasty, too. Not her favourite, but a close second. What was her favourite prey? Well, she liked squirrels. That was her mother’s favourite thing to hunt, and after Nightpaw joined PlumClan, it had reminded her of her mother. She always liked that little reminder so that her family wasn’t forgotten. She had a brother, too. He had run when her parents told them too. They started off together, and one day he was just... gone. Maybe he was killed. Maybe he had decided to leave her. She wasn’t sure what had happened to him. Nightpaw hoped he was alive. That he hadn’t died. And maybe one day he could join her, and they would be together again. But it wasn’t time to think about it. Because, stuck in her thoughts, Nightpaw must have slowed down, and now she couldn’t see the patrol. Had they forgotten her? She put her nose to the ground, following the scent trail. “Wait up!” Nightpaw called, hurrying to catch up. Suddenly, she heard a crack above her. Instead of running, she slowed, looking up. Something was falling- and then blackness. Deep pain coursed through her body, mainly her back. It was hard to tell- everywhere hurt. She tried scrabbling out of the mess, but her front paws weren’t strong enough, and her back paws... she couldn’t move them. Not because they were stuck – all the weight was on her back – but because she physically could not move them. “Help! Fogshard! Duskfeather! Hawkpaw! Help!” Pain racked through her body as she frantically tried to free herself, but to no avail. Nightpaw’s voice was hoarse from screaming now. In the distance she saw three figures racing towards her. She tried to stay awake, as the figures rushed towards her. She managed to keep her eyes open until the three cats got there and started trying to lift the branch off of her. But she knew it was no use. She was going to die. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be a better apprentice.” Nightpaw whispered weakly, and as she felt blackness closing in, she said, “Bury me by the creek.” Then darkness overtook her.
The pain was gone. Everything, really, was gone. Nightpaw knew she was dead. It would’ve happened no matter what she had done after the branch fell. She was weightless, free to pass through the branches holding her body down. She saw the other cats in her patrols still digging, but she could tell that they knew she was gone. She had made her last request for a reason. She had lived by the creek with her mother, father and brother. And those memories were special to her. She didn’t want to be buried in some patch of dirt where a million other cats were buried. Hopefully her brother was still alive. Maybe he could carry on the family’s lineage. But- no, she could feel it. She would know if he had died. Sunny must still be out there. Maybe... Maybe he would join the Clan. They would tell him about Nightpaw and he’d say, “My sister?” And know he should stay. Suddenly, Nightpaw heard a voice behind her. “Nightpaw?” Nightpaw whirled around. A mainly white tom with yellow and blue eyes, and chocolate patches on his side... Shinepaw. Nightpaw hadn’t really talked to the tom much. She knew that he had died from yellowcough, the same moon she was apprenticed. And he was... Fogshard’s apprentice. But Shinepaw got to saying it before Nightpaw could. “The poor guy. This is the second apprentice he’s lost- not that it’s your fault, of course.” “Shinepaw, I... I... I’m sorry I never got to know you before you, y’know...” Nightpaw mumbled, suddenly ashamed. The young tom flicked an ear casually. “No worries! We’ll have plenty of time to... socialize in StarClan. It’s, not that exciting up there. Oakpelt is not the most exciting, but don’t tell him I said that. He may be intimidating, but don’t worry, he’s a big ol’ softie. You’ll get used to him.” Nightpaw nodded, processing the information. Shinepaw talked fast. “Anyways, are you ready? Don’t worry, it’s not that bad up there. Endless hunting, running... everything. You’ve heard about StarClan.” Not everything, Nightpaw thought. My parents won’t be there. She wanted to see them before the passed on. She nodded, and Shinepaw smiled at her. As the stars took her, she thought she saw the ghostly figure of two cats, their fur not encrusted with stars like Shinepaw’s and now, surely, hers, but more of a wavy, transparent outline. And it was surely her imagination, but she thought she could make out the faces of her mother and father before brief darkness, and the trees and rocks and sky of StarClan rose up around her.
Blizzardkit Born (Brownie , duskflight , tigersdoroar ) Warmth. She wanted warmth. Warmth was good. Yes, it was. That was the first thing Blizzardkit learned in her new life. There wasn’t much to do except sleep and suckle from her mother’s belly. It was good. She enjoyed it. Not that she knew anything else. It was, the best and worst thing in her life at the same time. It was the only thing in her life. A few days later, she discovered something new. Moss. She didn’t know how, but it ended up all over her. She opened her eyes and peered up at the big cat plucking the moss scraps off of her. The other cat was so many pretty colours. The other cat was big, but not as big as Blizzardkit’s mama. Or her dada. Her dada was also big. She’d only met him once – she was probably asleep the other times. She knew that her dad couldn’t have only come once – he, what was the word? Love? Yes, that was it – he loved Blizzardkit’s mama too much. Here’s what Blizzardkit knew at that point: Eating, Sleeping, Moss, Mama, Dad, Other Biggish Cat, and love. Did Blizzardkit love anyone? Yes, she thought sleepily. She loved her mama and dada very much. Then another new thing – a few, actually, were introduced, when her mama left her to go outside. Now, this was strange, because her mama hadn’t left her very much, let alone when Blizzardkit was awake. Outside was new. Blizzardkit had waddled toward the entrance to the den, calling, “Mama?”, before being tugged back by somebody else in the den. Maybe it was Other Biggish Cat. When she woke up from her nap, the next thing was introduced to her: Death. Blizzardkit didn’t really understand Death. How could cats disappear? Would she disappear? No, she- Whoosh. Feathers. Pain. Darkness. Gone. What was that? Blizzardkit was confused, though she forgot it very quickly. What even was a feather? That was something new. Feathers belong to birds. What were birds? How did she know this? All this made Blizzardkit very confused, and so she tried to force herself into sleep. But that sleep came with dreams that shook the young kit. Of big flying birds, swooping down to devour Blizzardkit, their wingspan so vast that a single bird was as big as the camp, and so many birds that they covered the sky. Blizzardkit woke up, scared and confused. But her denmates soothed her. She was okay, she would be okay, everything was fine. And so she slipped into nicer dreams, dreams of... Whatever a kit who has only been alive for 7 days dreams of.
(Am I seriously the only one who does death responses?)

Lilacshade As she entered the camp after a border patrol, Lilacshade was met with the grumbling of Quickshade as she sorted out her herbs, complaining about the blight that had struck the medicine den to Hatchpaw. “Is there anything I can do?” The young apprentice asked. Lilacshade decided to step in. Losing herbs was no small problem, especially when there was a kit in the medicine den. “Certainly there is.” she meowed, padding up to Quickshade’s side. “The next time I take you out on patrol, we’ll be gathering herbs with Quickshade.”
She could have sworn that Hatchpaw looked disappointed for a moment, but the apprentice thought better of showing it in front of her and Quickshade, at least. “I would appreciate the help. Wait for me to clear out the herbs stores first, though. We can’t have this blight spread to the good herbs.” the medicine cat purred, casting an appreciative look to Lilacshade. Hatchpaw sped off at her words, but Lilacshade stayed to help sort out the blighted herbs. “Amberdapple will also lead one of the herb gathering patrols, but we could certainly use another, given the damage done here… Thank you for volunteering.” Quickshade meowed. “Well, it’s nothing…” Lilacshade replied, struck by a rare warmth at the medicine cat’s thankfulness. Quickshade was not the most approachable of cats, though Lilacshade could never thank her enough for how she had worked night and day to heal her after the dog bite. “It’s a warrior’s duty to help her clan, isn’t it?”“Hm. Sometimes warriors need reminders when that doesn’t mean hunting or fighting.” Quickshade purred. The work went quickly, and soon they were ready to patrol. Duststep joined them, and Hatchpaw ran to catch up in time, back from playing with Hawkpaw. “Do you think the rain’s going to be a problem?” Hatchpaw asked in a small mew. There was a persistent drizzle that had been going on for the past few days, and even now raindrops sprinkled her back. “You won’t melt, will you?” Lilacshade retorted sharply. “This is very important work, we’ll do it rain or shine.”
Hatchpaw’s face crumpled. “You’re right, I’m sorry…” He mewed with a guilty look on his face, obviously thinking of Havenkit. Lilacshade suddenly felt bad. Did I go too hard on him? She thought, I can’t stand it when he looks so sorry like that! Hatchpaw wasn’t a bad apprentice, actually. But he was quick to surrender whenever he was criticised, and Lilacshade didn’t know how to fix that. The apprentice turned out to be right about the rain. Soon, the slight drizzle had turned into a deluge as a storm broke above them. “Do we keep going?” Lilacshade yowled over the rain. “No, no!” Quickshade meowed back. “There’s no use, the herbs will be useless if we bring them back now!” So, the patrol quickly sought out shelter under a bush, hoping they could wait out the rain. Cloverfur - Wants to be picked as Havenkit's mentor
Cloverfur wanted to be a mentor again, and with a nursery full of kits, it seemed very possible. There were currently four kits in the nursery, and even though Fawnstar was sure to give the two new warriors an apprentice, that still left two! He even already had a kit in mind! Havenkit, the spotted brown kit had been injured for the last two moons after he was attacked by a hawk in the middle of camp.
Cloverfur didn't know what made him like Havenkit so much, maybe it was the way he was so polite during every interaction they had? Havenkit would probably be a good apprentice when the time came.

Hawkpaw running with hatchpaw to the river and falling in-Replying to fawnstar saving him!" Hey hawkpaw! Lets go to the river together!" Hatchpaw said to him. "Sure!" Hawpaw answered and they both ran out of the camp and in to the forest.Hawkpaw felt the rush of air in his fur and he ran as fast as the wind could carry him! It happened so suddenly hawkpaw didnt now what to do! He felt his paws moving in thin air and his body falling into the ice cold river. He gasped but all he breathed in was water. His head started to swim and his vision became foggy. Just before he closed his eyes for the last time he saw a flash of ginger and the feel of teeth grabing his neck. A sharp pain went up his body as he was luged out of the river. He heard a cat ubove him ask- "Hawkpaw are you okay? Can you speak?" He opened his eyes to see fawnstar looking up at him. He tryed to sit up but fell again. "Im...Im fine." He coughed out. Tagging- Feathertalon (Fawnstar) asrise (Hatchpaw)

Hatchpaw Before Hatchpaw could do anything, Hawkpaw had careened into the river, splashing up ice cold water. Hatchpaw froze in fear before running along the river, trying to grab at his littermate’s flailing paws as his head went under. No! Not you too! He thought, sure that Hawkpaw was going to drown. How did these horrible things keep happening?! In a flash of ginger fur, Fawnstar lept forwards, snatching Hawkpaw out of the roiling current by the scruff, her backing arching against the weight of the water crashing down on her. The leader struggled for a moment before pushing out of the water, laying Hawkpaw on the shore. Hatchpaw ran up to them as fast as his paws could carry him. To his great relief, Hawkpaw was conscious, coughing out water. Hatchpaw practically pounced on him, clinging to him in relief. “Oh, Hawkpaw! Are you alright? Can you stand? Do you need Quickshade or Amberdapple?!” He asked hurriedly. “I’m so sorry for telling you to go to the river, that was such a mouse-brained idea…”

fogshard patrol - Nightpaw, Hawkpaw, Duskfeather
★ It was undeniably an awful day. New-leaf hadn't been kind to PlumClan: first the late thaw, now the interminable rain. The only break they got from the miserable drizzle was when the clouds decided to downpour for a change of pace.
It was one of those times now, when the grey skies grew dark as dusk and the winds went from moaning to howling through the nearly bare-branched plums and cherries. No sunlight had peeked through the clouds this moon to tempt their buds open. Fogshard blinked the rain from his eyes, set his jaw against the wind.
Only the knowledge that he'd be just as wet and miserable in camp as he would be out here kept the grey tabby tom from calling off the training patrol. That, and the deputy Duskfeather was plodding along beside him.
A mighty crack! and crash! came from behind him. He startled, but at first simply thought it was a crack of thunder. Then: “Help! Fogshard--”
Nightpaw! The grey warrior spun so fast, his paws slipped on the rain-sodden grass and mud and he fell, hard, onto his shoulder, but he hardly felt the pain in his desperation to scramble to his paws. He could see a mess of branches, the white of Nightpaw's chin flashing brightly in the gloom.
Fogshard unsheathed his claws, trying to get a grip on the mud and finally hit onto the root of a tree, flinging himself towards the apprentice. A large branch lay across her back, her legs splayed behind her. "It's alright, we'll get this off you," he said, fighting to put a smile on his face to reassure her. He mostly succeeded. "Duskfeather! Can you get the other side?"
Fogshard crouched down, trying to fit his shoulders beneath the branch so he could use himself to take the weight off Nightpaw. "Hawkpaw, help pull her out." He didn't notice the blood until he had squeezed himself under the branch, the metallic tang dim against the heavy scent of rain, but once he did, his eyes went wide. "We've got you, Nightpaw. It'll be okay."
The branch's weight was across his shoulders, all he needed to do was push. StarClan, lend me strength, he thought, desperately trying to shove upward. When Nightpaw's words came, they were soft under the pouring rain. “I’m sorry I couldn’t be a better apprentice," she said. “Bury me by the creek.”
"No, no, no nonono." He pushed harder, growling under the strain. The branch shifted slightly. "Hawkpaw! Pull her out! Now!" he yelled, no longer caring if his panic was clear in his voice. He took a deep breath in, gave the branch another heave. His shoulder ached where he fell, but Fogshard only used that pain to feed his efforts, straining until the branch shuddered upward.
He held as long as he could, his legs quaking under the weight, giving Hawkpaw as much time as he could to free Nightpaw from underneath. But eventually, his strength waned and he was forced to lower the branch before it trapped him too.
As soon as he scrambled out from under the branch, he rushed to Nightpaw's side. Fogshard's eyes skittered over her broken body and he crouched by her head. Her emerald eyes were open, unseeing, raindrops curling down her fur like tears.
He touched his nose to hers and squeezed his eyes shut.

Fawnstar »
StarClan had not been kind to PlumClan in these last few moons.
Tragedy had struck when Shinepaw's illness worsened seemingly over night, the young tom ascending to StarClan before any cat could stop him. Fawnstar's heart wrenched. She could only imagine the pain Rindlestripe must be going through, knowing that one of their kits had not been able to push through, not been able to see it to their warrior ceremony. Images of her own kits, so small and delicate, flashed through her mind. The leader couldn't bear the thought of losing any of her three. She'd fight tooth and claw to make sure her kits were always safe, to make sure that they lived long enough to lay down their own legacy for PlumClan, to make a name for themselves and rewrite history. Her kits were her pride and joy, and should anything happen to them...
Nightpaw had been the second death. Newleaf rains, though mostly light, had been drizzling across the territory with no end in sight. The soil under paw was damp and squelched with every step, tree roots loosening and shifting underneath the earth. Limbs had lost their grip upon their trees, a danger to cats walking underneath them, unaware that tragedy could quite literally fall upon them.
Nightpaw's death had been devastating. A simple training patrol had turned fatal. Who would have imagined a tree limb to be the end of it all for a young cat?
Fawnstar glanced over at her sister, clearly sensing the distress that loomed over her as dark as the rain clouds up above. Between the deaths the herb stores had also been struck down by a plague, an odd blight eating away at everything the medicine cat had gathered. Two apprentices dead and now no herbs should something happen. They were lucky newleaf had arrived, but collecting herbs in this weather was not the most joyful experience.
Slowing her pawsteps, Fawnstar eased beside Amberdapple, brushing her soaked fur against Amberdapple's own water-logged pelt. The leader said nothing, remained silent, but she knew in this gesture alone that Amberdapple would realize she wasn't alone. No matter what happened she would always have Fawnstar. They would always be sisters with a bond stronger than anything.

Golddusk-Is sharping his claws/rogue confrontation Golddusk walked out of camp before he needed to go on a hunting patrol with Cloverfur and Rindlestripe. He decided it would be a good idea to sharpen his claws so that he will be more prepared for the hunting patrol. He spotted a nearby tree just outside the camp entrance and then he walked over to it. He sank his claws into the bark and scratched at the tree until he’s satisfied with how sharp his claws had become. With his claws now sharpened, he heads back into camp to meet up with the rest of the patrol. … Golddusk walked with the rest of the patrol, heading deeper into the orchards. So far, Golddusk had yet to catch anything. The recent rain had made scenting prey harder than it would normally had been. He sniffed the ground, determined to find something to bring back to camp. He then spotted some tracks on the ground. He took a closer look, recognizing those tracks to be those of a cat’s. The scent that hung near those tracks; however, didn’t smell like the scent of any clan cat he knew. The fur on his back stood up on end as a sense of unease grew. This scent clearly does not belong to a Plumclan cat, which meant that this cat could be a potential threat to the rest of the clan if they are still on Plumclan territory. “I found some tracks here! Looks like there’s a cat that had passed by here!” Golddusk alerted the two older warriors. He then followed the tracks, his ears alert as he looked around the area around him for the stranger. Soon, he saw the rogue not too far ahead, eating a bird they just caught. “What are you doing on Plumclan territory?” he said, trying his best to look as intimidating as possible as he confronted the now hissing rogue. @dewbranch lazzylake

Duskfeather- Patrol with Fogshard, Hawkpaw and Nightpaw Just as things started to look better, the rain had started pouring all over the clan’s territory. Even PlumClan’s usually warm and cozy camp had become wet. Between this, the late thaw and Shinepaw’s death, it truly seemed like PlumClan was cursed by StarClan. But… what could they have done to anger their ancestors so much? Duskfeather couldn’t understand. All he knew was that the next generation had to be prepared to face any challenge that came their way. And that was exactly why he was going with Fogshard and their apprentices on a training patrol. The mood was… droopy at best. It looked like no one really wanted to go on patrol. To be honest, Duskfeather didn’t either. But it’s not like sitting in camp was much better anyways. Nightpaw lagged behind the everyone else. Duskfeather didn’t think much of it, until he heard a sudden crash behind him. He quickly turned around as Nightpaw started calling their names for help, a branch crushing in small body. Fogshard took initiative of the situation, directing everyone to help Nightpaw. Duskfeather followed his commands; despite Fogshard being a younger warrior, he was doing everything correctly. Duskfeather tried to stay calm while helping the grey tabby lift the branch. He went under it and with all of his strength tried to move it up. He lifted as hard as he could, but as he gave a quick glance in Nightpaw’s direction, he saw the blood, and realized it was too late. She said her goodbyes, apologizing and giving one last wish: to be buried by the creek. Despite this, Fogshard was in denial, still instructing Hawkpaw to pull her out. It took a few seconds before he too gave up The deputy went up to Fogshard to comfort him. He touched him with his nose and whispered. “It’s not your fault. It could have happened to anyone. No one but StarClan could have known that branch would fall at that exact moment.”. He gave Fogshard a reassuring look, and then spoke again, louder this time so that Hawkpaw could hear him too. “We… should probably honor her final request.”. Tagging Brownie Hawkheart

Hawkpaw answering duskfeather"We...should probably honor her final request." Duskfeather said to them. Hawkpaw was stunned but regained his voice. "ill...ill help carry her to the river." He said to duskfeahter. He was wondoring what duskfeather had said to fogshard when he had lowered his voice but he put the thought out of his mind and picked up nightpaws limp right shoulder. "Can you get the other one?" He asked fogshard quietly. Tagging- chocolatemilk7 (Duskfeather) Brownie (Fogshard)

Cloverfur - Border patrol with Rindlestripe and Golddusk
This moon had not been a been a very good moon for Plumclan thus far. After the late thaw it seemed the only thing that had happened was rain, and Nightpaw had been lost only a few sunrises prior. The young cat had been buried by the stream, which had been her final request, Fogshard had informed them. Now their patrol of three were carefully picking their way through the Plumclan orchards, making their way to the border. Any scent we put down is just going to get washed away by the rain. We could be warm and dry inside of our nests at the moment.
“I found some tracks here! Looks like there’s a cat that had passed by here!” The voice came from his former apprentice, Golddusk. Cloverfur looked up and sniffed, only to find that he was right. "They must be pretty fresh as they haven't been washed away yet. Let's go," flicking his tail to show Golddusk should lead the way. Cloverfur had been right, after only a few pawsteps the rouge came into sight, munching on a bird. The nerve! “What are you doing on Plumclan territory?” Golddusk asked, hissing. Cloverfur snarled at the cat, who had frozen after Golddusk had spoken. They didn't say anything, just looked the three of them over and ran back over the border, leaving their half-eaten bird behind. "Well we might as well each take a bite of that bird the bury the rest- wouldn't want to waste it. Then we can finish marking the border"

Golddusk watched the rogue as they ran away from them until he could no longer see them. And don’t you dare come back again! Golddusk thought angrily. With the rogue gone and out of sight, Golddusk could afford to calm down a bit, letting his fur grow flat against his body and no longer puffed out. He looked at his former mentor, Cloverfur as he explained to the rest of the group what they should do with the half eaten bird the rogue left behind. He nodded his head in agreement with what Cloverfur had said. It would indeed be a waste to just leave the bird there. He walked forward and then took a bite of the bird and then moved aside so that both Cloverfur and Rindlestripe can have their fair share of the bird. lazzylake @dewbranch

Cloverfur - Gets Havenpaw as an apprentice and training patrol
Cloverfur had been surprisingly delighted when he had been given one of Fawnstar's kits to mentor. Havenpaw had been the one he had wanted anyway, now that he would have minded training Forestpaw or Auburnpaw. In fact, his apprentice Golddusk had also been given Forrestpaw to mentor! It seemed things were going full circle.
Now Cloverfur was out in the territory with Havenpaw. He should have asked Amberdapple or Quickshade what he could and couldn't do, and Cloverfur didn't want to push the young apprentice. Instead, he decided to focus on hunting, or hunting theory.
"So Havenpaw, what do you know about hunting? Do you know anything about the hunting crouch or how to hunt different types of prey?" He asked, wondering what the apprentice knew. "Well... not really. But I'm sure that Plumclan hunting grounds are so much better than other clans! Our territory is the best-!" Havenpaw exclaimed, but was cut off by his mentor. "That isn't why we're here. We are here to learn about hunting theory," Cloverfur explained. "Now, let me show you the hunting crouch," he said, sliding easily into it. Havenpaw copied him, doing it almost perfect on his first try. "Good job Havenpaw!" Cloverfur praised. "Soon you'll be able to catch real prey!"
[Just talking to myself for this one! Didn't really know where to end so it kind of cut off abruptly :/]

LilacshadeLilacshade sat lazily in the sun, gazing fondly at Blizzardkit. They were alone in the nursery now that Fawnstar’s kits had become apprentices. Lilacshade usually didn’t like kits very much, but Blizzardkit was a sweet one. There were so many apprentices that all six could barely fit in the apprentices' den, leaving Hatchpaw complaining about being squeezed in. Soon, it would be time for his assessment. A stab of guilt shot through her as she realised that Hatchpaw wasn’t prepared at all. She still had to give him his battle training, and even then… Maybe it was a mistake for Fawnstar to have given her an apprentice while she was injured. Maybe a more able warrior would have been better, she thought with a frown. But no matter. She was good at fighting, wasn’t she? Hopefully she could teach the moves just as well. Lilacshade put on her most confident expression and strode up to Hatchpaw briskly. “It’s time for your battle training, Hatchpaw. You should try your best to apply yourself here, this could save your life in the future.” Hatchpaw nodded. “I’m ready! Can Havenpaw come?” he mewed. Lilacshade shook her head, looking at Havenpaw. The newly minted apprentice had stuck to Hatchpaw like a burr ever since he’d left the apprentice den. But he was still too young for battle training. Besides, she wouldn’t want to put Fawnstar’s kit in harm’s way. “I’m sorry, Havenpaw. Battle training is not the best fit for an apprentice as young as you. I’d be honoured to help train you in a few moons, though.”
“That’s okay…” Havenpaw replied, looking down. But he brightened up quickly, and said his goodbyes to Hatchpaw. The pair made to exit the camp, before being met with Fawnstar. Tagging: Feathertalon (As Fawnstar)

Amberdapple
Patrol (Brownie )
Amberdapple was feeling a lot better than last moon. Her sister’s small gesture was enough for Amberdapple to realize that she was enough, and there was nothing more she could have done for any of the dead cats. It was amazing how much the two could say without words.
Today she was patrolling with Fogshard. Last moon her patrol had, thankfully, gathered enough herbs to refresh her (and Quickshade’s) stocks. She knew Fogshard was probably still grieving. Nightpaw was his second lost apprentice. A moon isn’t long enough to recover from that kind of grief. Amberdapple knew from experience how hard it was to be so close to saving somebody, but having their life slip away from beneath your paws. Amberdapple still hadn’t fully recovered from losing Fogshard’s first apprentice. The poor cat had suffered so much loss; how come both lost apprentices had to be his? Amberdapple couldn’t help but feel sorry for him.
“You okay, Fogshard?” Amberdapple asked, understanding the swirling emotions that he must be feeling. As a medicine cat, she was used to grief. She was never that good at handling it herself, but dealing with grieving cats was easier.
It was hot out, a change to last moon’s endless torrent of rain. It was unpleasantly hot. The dark spots of her pelt were quickly warming. The two began searching for lungwort, and Amberdapple noticed that Fogshard was working hard, even harder than she was. Still, by the end of it, they came back empty pawed. That didn’t boost Amberdapple’s mood at all. The herb stores were low. Hopefully Quickshade had found herbs.
Blizzardkit Is scared after having a nightmare (@)
The nightmares hadn’t stopped. Yes, there had been some nights Blizzardkit had gotten a peaceful sleep, but not many. Usually she had more nightmares. Nightmares of huge birds. Hawks, they were called. Blizzardkit didn’t understand why they were with her, why they haunted her. What had she done to upset them? She had never even seen a hawk before! How did she even know what they were?
Something new had been in her dreams recently. A swift flame coloured creature, with a white chest and black tail. It was larger than a cat, something Blizzardkit knew she should be scared of, but wasn’t. It didn’t do anything really, just sat in the snow, watching Blizzardkit with a scared expression. And when Blizzardkit had turned and begged it for help, it had turned and ran.
She didn’t know if she should talk to somecat about these dreams. They would probably think she was crazy. She was crazy. Cats don’t usually have dreams like that, she was sure. Maybe she would talk to somecat about it. Maybe. Maybe later.

Duskfeather- Hunting with Hawkpaw and Duststep Ah, green leaf. A time of prosperity and peace. A time where every cat had something to eat, and conflicts were rarer. Still, this did not mean it was a perfect season. While Duskfeather disliked the drizzle this new leaf, he would have preferred it over the unmerciful heat this moon. But he couldn’t complain too much. Prey was plentiful. And the deputy was taking out his apprentice to see just how much he had learned about hunting. Duststep was also joining them to help evaluate. Duskfeather lead the two through the orchards, looking for any smells. Surprisingly, he couldn’t find anything in the immediate area. “Let’s split up for a bit. Try to cover more ground.” Duskfeather went off in his direction, searching for prey. He caught a mouse and buried it, and soon saw Hawkpaw nearby. The apprentice was stalking a rabbit. But… something was… off. The rabbit looked weak and sick. The deputy quickly realized it was poisoned. But his apprentice had not. Hawkpaw was just about to pounce when Duskfeather sprung forward. “Hawkpaw, don’t!” He scared the rabbit away with his warning. Duskfeather knew the apprentice would probably be angry or just confused by his actions, but he decided to quiz him anyway. “Do you know why I stopped you from catching that rabbit, Hawkpaw?” Tagging Hawkheart MistyPath

Golddusk-Training with Forestpaw Golddusk walked with his apprentice Forestpaw through the orchard. He can’t believe that he already had his first appentice! He wondered what he should be teaching her today. After thinking about it, he decided that he wanted to teach her how to fight. He remembered his recent encounter with the rogue last moon, so Golddusk decided that teaching his apprentice how to defend herself would be a good idea. Plus, some of the battle techniques he had learnt over the moons when he was an apprentice himself also required teamwork which would be great to use in both battles and border skirmishes. “Alright Forestpaw, today I’m going to teach you how to weave around an opponent and how to use teamwork during a battle.” he said, getting ready to demonstrate how to use these techniques. tigersdoroar
