Orryn-Professor's Rooms-Professor Professor Philomel Orryn gave a slight nod, he was aware of the students needing to do jobs around Garreg Mach frommhis time as a student. "I don't think any of them would have a real preference," he said. "When are you thinking of the three of us meeting though?"
"I am not sure what Konstantin is up to," Philomel said, looking thoughtful, "So after class, I imagine?" Class would be starting in about an hour if his pocket watch was correct, "Then we can draw up a roster over tea," Which tea out of my extensive collection is the question! |

Orryn-Professors Rooms-Professor Philomel Orryn perked up at the mention of tea, he always enjoyed the calming aura tea gave off, and with all the different blends you could do with the tea. "After class sounds good," he said. "The last I saw of Professor Konstantin, was last night, I think in his room?" He glanced behind him out the window, hoping the sun light could provide some clue for what time it was, it would be bad if he was late for the first day of class like he had been for the house meeting, he was a professor now after all. |

He still felt off being referred to as a professor, as part of him still felt he was undeserving of the title. He shook out his head to clear the negative thoughts as he headed for his desk. He glanced at the profiles as he thought over a lesson plan, he wrote it down so he didn't risk forgetting it. |

Kind of a shame though. You're really missing out." He kind of shared Rekka's fascination with the food that was served here. Maybe not to that extend but it definitely was one thing that would make his time here more bearable.
Konstantin | Professor's RoomKonstantin sat in his room and looked to his students' profiles once more to get a better idea of what everyone's current skill level would be, based on what was known about them. Some already seemed to know exactly what they wanted to focus on while others would need some time to figure it out. Not that it mattered too much during the first month but it was good to see that some already had a clear path in mind.

Philomel approached Konstantin's door and knocked once. After checking in with the last of the three professors, he would head down to the Golden Deer classroom to preemptively set some things up. The first lesson was naturally going to contain a lot of admin, but he wanted to make it fun too if he could. Bored students would not learn after all.

A sharp grin bloomed across Silkes face "That's what I like to hear! Standing down after one single fight would reflect poorly against us. Let us continue until one of us proves who's the best!" she exclaimed loudly, dropping down into a fighting stance as well. Now that she'd gotten a bit more used to his fighting style, Silke tweaked hers ever so slightly. The other was good at blocking and attacking, not just relying on his sword to attack. She lifted a hand, gesturing for him to attack first. It was only fair, she'd attacked first last time after all.

Luca waived idly, "It's all good, I've gotten over it." he listened to the other speak, tilting his head slightly to the side in interest. He knew how the other felt. Luca had never been great in a direct combat situation either. He never trained combatively when he was young and it showed "I see, that's understandable. We're more similar than it seems!" the dancer smiled before taking a bite of food "We can be bad at direct combat together." he added with a laugh.

His tail swished happily behind him "I agree! Other kitsune just don't understand how good things can get. They don't like outside stories, outside food, or even outside people. I just don't get it. There's so much to see, learn, and experience." he munched on the food in front of him "Though, everything is expensive." he scowled "I never would have thought a single night in an inn would cost so much before travelling here."

all good!) Searc-Training Grounds-Silke Searc knew she had fast reflexes, which meant he had to be careful with his hits. He gripped the sword and charged in, usually he would go for a leg sweep, but felt she would be expecting that, so he aimed for a strike down for the gauntlets keeping in mind that hands that they were attached to, if his strategy he was thinking of could play out the way he hoped it would, he could follow this with a kick. Jason-Dining Hall-Luca Jason smiled a bit, with a small laugh. "I suppose we can," he agreed. "Sides I'm sure there are people in the house that are good in close combat. Sides ranged fighters are good as well, they can help weaken enemies." He took a bite of the food, his eyes lit up a bit, the food tasted amazing, it might even have been better than his mother's cooking. |

Silke twisted sideways, spinning and just dodging the sword that came down where she was staking moments before. She pivoted off one foot and swung with her gauntlet, aiming for Searcs shoulder. Recovering from a dodged move was easier when your weapon was your fists. Axes were especially hard to balance again if you were knocked off balance.

"True!" Rekka agreed, greedily eating away at his food "I heard that the Black Eagles house lead specializes in close combat, I hope I don't ever have to face her." he joked, knowing for a face she could easily destroy him in a one on one fight "I guess we'll see more from our house when we start training."

I love that!! That they still end in a tie, who should take the first win?) Searc-Training Grounds-Silke Searc jumped back to avoid her hit. He almost lost his footing as he had been to focused on getting away. He went back in aiming for lower this time, more in her knee area. Searc used an attempted punch in hopes to cause at the very least a diversion from his sword attack. Jason-Dining Hall- Jason tensed up a bit, it would be terrible to be in a close combat fight with that leader. He didn't know much on the Black Eagles leader apart from what he learned from eavesdropping on students, and from what he could gather was that she was in many tournaments for fighting. "True we would. Do you think k we will win this mock battle thing?" |

Jasmine | Training Grounds | Rieka Jasmine grunted in disappointment as the Wolfskin managed to dodge the blow but was also satisfying that her opponent seemed to have good reflexes. When Rieka began to retaliate she quickly jumped back, lifting one arm to block her strikes, and then stepped to the side. While Rieka's blows were easy to deal with Jasmine was glad that her opponent hadn't transformed. She probably would have been forced to try a different approach. But now was not the time to think about that. Knowing she couldn't stay in one place for too long Jasmine began to move around again and suddenly moved in from the side, throwing out two quick blows as she was within range.
Nora | Stables | Adora"Sounds like a smart decision." Nora's family was different in that regard. Her father had insisted that she learned to wield a weapon. Part of the reason was probably that they were in possession of one of the relics. "You're right. Honestly, if I didn't know some magic already I probably would have picked up bows too."
Julius | Dining Hall | RekkaJulius grinned and gave a quick nod before he took a bite of his meal."Looks like you're really different from the other kitsune then. Not that that's a bad thing, of course." He focused on his food for a bit but he still listened with great interest, making a mental note of Rekka's inexperience about the world. At the mention of the outrageous prices he laughed. "You haven't seen anything yet. Check out the marketplace when you have the time. You wouldn't believe how much some of the stuff costs."

Rieka swivelled around to face Jasmine again, throwing out a couple of jabs to try and parry her back. Metal clinked as the gauntlets clashed, but the wolfskin was quickly overwhelmed. There was no attempting to win against someone who was clearly more experienced so instead, she resolved to observe her opponent's technique. If nothing else, she could learn from this. After stumbling backward, she righted herself and aimed towards the outer edge of Jasmine's gauntlets, hoping to push them together and immobilise her for a short moment.

Adora shrugged insouciantly, "Perhaps I could teach you some bow techniques," She offered. Teaching Nora a skill that could be used against her wasn't exactly a pleasant idea. Still, it was necessary for her to blend in and feel part of this class even if it meant showing her hand at times. She didn't need to be a good teacher, "And you could show me some of your magic," She smiled at her, face lighting up as if an idea had struck her, "Actually, I was thinking of going and exploring the town after class. It would be a shame to walk around all on my own..."

She knocked aside his punch with one hand, using her other to go in for an attack. It seemed that both attacks would hit, but whoever hit first would take the win this time around. Silke was impressed that he had gone so far as to start hand to hand combat in an attempt to open her to an attack. Many others would stick just to their weapon.

"I hope so! It's what we deserve." Luca nodded "But until we see more of the skills other houses may have we won't know. Especially with the introduction of the beastkin, I've never seen them fight before." he mused idly, remembering the few students he'd seen with ears and tails.

The kitsune made a face and sighed "I fear for my wallet." he would complain about the expenses, but get excited and buy something anyways. His tourist tendencies matched with his shallow wallet really didn't end up being a good combination. Rekka finished off his plate of food "I think classes are starting soon, so many students are still out and about though."

He forced away the grin that wanted to present itself on his face from making first contact, and it became easier when he felt the contact of her attack. He moved away from her. "Looks like I made contact," he commented, as he stabbed the sword into the ground, stretching his arms out a bit. Jason-Dining Hall-Luca Jason gave a small frown, it was true that they would need to see the other houses to know if they could win. "I haven't either," he responded. "What doo you think they use? Since they normally don't use weapons?" He had seen the students with ears, they were hard to miss, when compared to the other students at the academy. He took a few more bites of food. |

Jasmine | Training Grounds | RiekaJasmine grinned as she kept going at it, staying on the offence this whole time. It was clear to her that Rieka was less experienced than her but she loved seeing some fighting-spirit. An opponent that didn't give up was always worthy of her respect, no matter their skill level. Her eyes widened in surprise as Rieka suddenly changed her tactic and tried to immobilise her. While she quickly recognized that trick she hadn't fought many opponents who tried it and thus wasn't quite prepared. Jasmine loosened up a little as the Wolfskin's gauntlets connected with hers but a split-second later she forcefully pushed back, stumbling a little, as she grunted a annoyed yet impressed "A smart one, huh?" Nora | Stables | AdoraNora thought about it for a moment. It wasn't like she actually needed to learn some archery skills but she also wouldn't say no to an opportunity to learn a new skill. "We could do that," she agreed with a smile. "I don't know if I can actually teach you a bit but it's worth a shot." At the mention of exploring the town she nodded eagerly. "I would like to come along then. None of us had had much time yesterday, after all." Julius | Dining Hall | RekkaJulius shrugged with a carefree smile. "Since you're going to spend a year at this place you might learn how to haggle. I'm sure some of us have some experience with it." He quickly finished his meal and glanced around the dining hall. "You're right. We should probably get going soon. I don't know about everyone else but I wouldn't want to be late."
Konstantin | Professor's Room | Philomel"Of course. It's about the duties, isn't it?" They would have to discuss which students would be paired up for which duty and when. Konstantin had already expected that this topic would come up sooner or later. At Philomel's question he gave a quiet, good-natured chuckle. "I am not really picky so feel free to choose what suits you best. Though I wouldn't say no to either the Four-Spice Blend or Crescent-Moon Tea."
(I can't believe I looked up the game's teas for this xD Hm. Now that I'm at it I might pick tea preferences for my other characters too, even if it'll never come up.)

A smile tugged at the corner of Rieka's mouth at Jasmine's compliment. She didn't, however, let herself miss taking advantage of her opponent's stumble, trying to get another good blow in while she could, "You're a strong opponent," She said breathlessly. Most of the poachers she encountered back home weren't nearly this dangerous. Their blades and traps were no match for the wolfskin fighters. It had been a while since she had felt challenged like this.

"Then it's a date," Adora said happily. She peered into the stalls at the horses and pegasi, "I've been looking foreword to going shopping," We'll need to rely on the town for any supplies we can't get here, she reminded herself. Ingredients for poisons and the like primarily. Reconnaissance and bonding at the same time - two birds with one stone.

Soon she would be allowed access to the Cavalier class and from practising she had learned that bare-handed combat and horseback riding didn't really go together, as much as she would have loved that. "Are you gonna practice here every morning? If so feel free to chat me up when you see me. Well, if you're not challenging your rival houses." Nora | Stables | Adora"As do I. There's so much to see there." Nora glanced into Danya's stall one more time and then turned back to Adora. "I think classes are starting soon. Should we get going or is there something else you want to do before?" (Geez, Adora, don't do anything drastic. Why would you waste money on ingredients for poisons anyway? Just ask Vincent to cook something.)

She would need to train hard to keep up with her classmates.

Silke was surprised to find that his attack hit first. Had she really been moving so slow. She scowled and took a step back "Again, I wasn't paying attention." she insisted, eager to show her true skill. Silke was so stubborn and competitive that they'd be here for a while if she wasn't told off. But one more couldn't hurt. Once Searc confirmed, she charged him again, taking the first attack this time around. She stayed on the ground this time, attacking first with a swift uppercut.

After breakfast, Megumi had retreated out of the dining hall. She'd been relaxing outside when she glanced at the sun. It was about time for her to head in. She scowled and scoffed, not wishing to return to the humans inside. Shaking her head, she stood and stretched. Megumi headed swiftly towards the Black Eagle classroom, her stride long and quick.

"I believe they have stones, but I also wouldn't be surprised if they used normal weapons as well. I'd love to see them in their beast forms though..." he mused, wondering if their fur would be soft or not. Most others would care about their ability, but Luca was easily distracted by such things. Maybe Rieka would show him if he asked nicely. He finished off his meal, polishing off the last of the food on the plate.

"Yeah! I'm curious what a real class will be like! What will it focus on, how will it be taught. Things like that." he stood and took his plate over, setting it down in the correct area. He noted that a few students were sitting around, but they also seemed to be finishing up. Rekka turned and waited for Julius to finish up.

Searc-Training Ground-Silke Searc barely had enough time to attempt a block from her sudden attack. He was bad at blocking uppercut styled attacks, as he found it hard to read if it would go through completely or if another attack would veer it off it's course. He had no problem going as many rounds that it would take, it just meant he was able to get lots of training, and maybe will be getting a better idea of how she fought come time for the mock battle. Jason-Dining Hall-Luca Jason blinked abit at the mention of them using stones. What kind of stones? He thought quietly to himself, as he finished off his own food. "We have a beastkin in our house right? maybe they can transform so you can see? If they are comfortable doing it that is," he suggested to Luca. |

Now that the students were slowly making their way to the classrooms Jasmine would either practice some more, this time with an axe, or she would go to the marketplace to watch the blacksmith again. "Alright then, you might want to get going now," she said with a quiet laugh. "The first real day is never too exciting but that's just how it is."

Nora shrugged at this. "Probably. I doubt it'll get really interesting before the mock battle." She sighed and then led the way to the classrooms. "Speaking of which, I hope the other houses won't be too easy to deal with. Where's the fun in one-sided battles?"

"Now you're getting me all hyped up too," Julius complained with an amused smile as he put his plate on the stack too. "Don't get your hopes up though. It's the first lesson and I think there's a lot of formal stuff to be taken care of first. Oh well, let's get going already." He walked over to the door that led to the courtyard, waited for Rekka to follow, and then continued over to the building with the classrooms.

"I will, thank you," Rieka dipped her head to Jasmine and joined the stream of students heading towards the classrooms. Today was off to a satisfying start. She had a training partner and not even one within her own house. A knight in training! She took a seat at one of the desks, wondering what this first lesson would be about. Jasmine had suggested it wouldn't be very 'exciting' so did that mean there were more rules to go over?

Adora's eyes took on a gleam, "They better be half-decent!" She exclaimed as they made their way to the Black Eagles classroom. Or it'll be difficult to hide the fact that I've already had some training, "Not that I would necessarily mind an easy win... but you're right. There's no fun to that," Her mouth quirked up into another smile, her voice taking on a theatrical tone, "I'm sure I'll be a great asset to our inevitable victory. "

Nora | Courtyard -> Black Eagles Classroom | Megumi (briefly), Adora"It'll be an interesting battle for sure. Especially with the beastkin around." Nora wondered if they would get a chance to practice with one of those before the mock battle. As far as she knew no one here had any experience in dealing with any kind of beastkin. At Adora's proclamation she laughed. Good to know that some people here were that confident in their abilities. "Oh you better be!" she half-joked as they moved through the courtyard and neared the classrooms. "We'll teach them not to mess with us." As she said that Nora spotted Megumi heading for the classroom as well. "Good morning," she greeted the Taguel before she finally entered the classroom.
Vincent | Courtyard -> Black Eagles Classroom | Open
Upon seeing some of his classmates making their way to the classroom Vincent decided to follow their example and head there as well. He greeted the other three as he passed them, giving a quick nod and a polite smile. Then he waited for a bit to let them choose where they wanted to sit. He didn't really have much of a preference and since they had gotten here first he thought they should be the first ones to decide.
Callan | Fishing Pond -> Golden Deer Classroom | Open (briefly mentions Rekka and Julius)Callan glanced towards the dining hall a couple times, watching some of the other students passing by. There were still a lot of people around but heading over to the classrooms was probably not such a bad idea. He quickly made his way up the stairs to the dining hall and headed straight for the other exit leading to the courtyard. As he passed Rekka and Julius he greeted them with a quiet but friendly "morning" and a shy smile. Once he had reached the classroom he quickly chose the leftmost desk in the back row, figuring this would be where he would stand out the least.
Agnar | Bridge -> Blue Lions Classroom | Imrie, Rieka (briefly)Agnar made his way back to the reception hall once he had enjoyed the view from the bridge some more. He quickly headed for the exit that led to the courtyard and immediately walked over to the classroom of the Blue Lions. "Hey there," he greeted Imrie and Rieka as he got there. He was slightly surprised that he was one of the first but it didn't bother him either. |

Blue Lions | Fion ♔
Fion had turned up at the classroom a little later than the others, a consequence of reading late into the night as he often had back home. Once he was there, next to the blue banner that signified the Blue Lions, he politely greeted Imrie, Rieka and Agnar. It was a relief to see that he wasn't late and that Professor Konstantin hadn't arrived yet.
Golden Deer | Estelle ✯
Estelle had spent the early morning hours finishing her letter to the Observatory. She had written of the people she had met the day before, of Garreg Mach itself and of how much she missed Altair Eaver and the other astronomers. Now she had the letter tucked into her uniform, in hope that she could find a way to send it after class. As she entered the classroom, she said a cheery "hello" to everyone, then tried to decide where to sit.
Black Eagles | Grimm ✧
Grimm was one of the last Black Eagles to stroll in. He yawned, gave his classmates a lazy wave and sat down at a desk a few rows from the back. Brushing a hand through his dark hair, he watched as everyone chattered with each other.
Blue Lions | Rieka ❆
Rieka returned Agnar's greeting, her tail swishing over the seat impatiently. They were still missing a few people including Luca from yesterday. She was looking foreword to being able to train with Professor Konstantin one on one though that was unlikely to happen during this lesson, she guessed.
Black Eagles | Adora ➳
Adora winked at Nora, "Then I won't let you down," The mention of the beastkin was a good reminder. She knew that the taguel was a student she would need to monitor just as the other Agarthans would be paying close attention to their house's respective shifters. It might be worth talking to her next... She chimed in with Nora's greeting to Megumi, "Good morning," She ended up taking a seat in the middle row.

With his sword low to protect from the uppercut, she twisted on her feet. She lashed out with a strong kick, hitting his sword in an attempt to force him back a few steps. Once that attack had made contact, she once again aimed a punch at his shoulder. Normally she'd aim for the face or stomach, but Silke wasn't looking to do lasting damage. Just a few bruises here or there.
Megumi | Black Eagles Classroom
The Taguel didn't look happy to be greeted by a human, but she greeted them shortly in return. Megumi sat near the back of the class and near a window. She wasn't happy to be here, and was surprised that out of everyone she'd been chosen to attend on behalf of her tribe. Hopefully it would go by fast and she'd be done here.
Luca | with Jason
"I'll as Rieka! I bet she'd be willing to show off." Luca nodded. As they headed towards the class he commented "I think Rieka is a wolfskin, then there's a Kitsune in the Golden Deer, and finally a Taguel in the Black Eagles. I hope their ears are as soft as they look." he added a bit wistfully. They soon arrived to the class.
Rekka | with Julius & Callan
"Good morning Callan!" Rekka greeted, tag swishing happily. He sat besides Julius, but close enough he could also talk to Callan if the other felt up to it. After all, Callan had been one of the first people he'd spoken to and Rekka already considered him a close friend.

She acknowledged Grimm with a nod and then took another look around to see who was still missing. But since there was still some time left it wasn't really an issue. They were still waiting for some of their classmates but he wasn't too surprised to find that the house leader hadn't arrived yet. From what he had seen and heard of her, and from what he had gathered yesterday from talking, he guessed that Silke was probably at the training grounds. Julius | Golden Deer Classroom | Rekka, CallanJulius gave a quick wave when Rekka noticed Callan and when Estelle entered the classroom. Since they were his classmates he would keep an eye on them as well. While they were of no importance to him it would be good to know everyone's strengths and weaknesses. "Looks like you already made some friends yesterday," Julius remarked to Rekka. "If you keep this up this class will be united in no time."
Callan | Golden Deer Classroom | Rekka, JuliusCallan turned towards Rekka and Julius, glad that he was welcome to jump in on their conversation if he wanted to. He nodded at Estelle's greeting and after a quiet but friendly "Good morning" he motioned to the nearby seats, wondering if she was going to join them or choose a desk further away. At the dancer's remark he nodded with a slight smile. "It's still morning and you've already found one more person you get along with," he said to Rekka.
Agnar | Blue Lions Classroom | Fion, Luca, Jason (briefly)
Agnar nodded to Fion as the house leader entered the room, going for a polite "Good morning" this time instead of the more casual way he had greeted Rieka and Imrie. While one's social standing wasn't supposed to matter all that much at this academy he supposed he shouldn't ignore it completely. He waved when Luca and Jason arrived, greeting the former with a grin and the latter with a quick nod.

sorry for being gone for a good chunk of the day, for me, i was just getting caught up in a class im behind in, and have been neglecting to do the work to catch up) Searc-Training Grounds-Silke Searc winced slightly when he felt the hit on his shoulder. He clicked his tongue annoyed that he had gotten hit. Which meant they were at a tie once again unfortunately. "We need to go again, it's another tie," he commented, hoping that she would agree for one more round. He was aware that classes were starting based on how empty the training grounds had gotten, but this would bug him if it was just left. Jason-Dining Hall->Blue Lions Classroom-Luca Jason walked along side Luca as they made their way to the classroom. He took note of the three beastkins that were listed, one of each kind it seemed. "I feel they would be since they look like fur," he said, but he didn't know much on beastkins so for all he knew it was hair. He looked around the classroom, taking note of the people currently inside. |

Estelle moved to sit nearby the small group. There were still a number of people she wanted to get to know better aside from those whom she had already spoken to. In fact, she hadn't really scratched the surface. Julius was one such person. She smiled at Callan and Rekka, "First day of class!" Her voice was excited, her fingers playing absently with the fabric of her skirt. She looked at Julius thoughtfully and guessed, "...Juuulius?"

Adora traced lines and shapes into the wood with her nails. She listened to the conversations going on around them, trying to pick out points of interest, "Looks like our house leader is going to be late," She murmured and glanced towards the doorway, paused for a moment then asked: "Should we invite some others into town with us?"

Julius nodded as Estelle approached them. "Mhm. Julius Farley. Nice to meet you." Now that she had joined them he could get a better look at her. She was a noble, no doubt about it. Not that he didn't know that already, having done some research on almost all of his classmates before he had decided on whose place he was going to take. Still, he couldn't let anyone find out about that. He'd have to act as if he knew next to nothing about most of them. So he looked thoughtful for a moment, mentally going through the names he had heard yesterday. "You must be... Estelle," he finally said and gave an apologetic smile. "Ah, sorry. I haven't really talked to anyone yesterday so I hope I don't get anything mixed up."

Nora glanced at the others. "Lessons haven't started yet though. And she's not the only one we're missing." But if she was being honest she would have expected the house leader to be a little more punctual. "Anyway, I hope they all show up soon. I'd like to think our house leader is at least somewhat reliable," she said, her tone suggesting that she wasn't entirely serious though. At Adora's question she nodded. "If someone's interested, sure! I don't see why not."

Silke looked ready to agree but when she noticed the time she scowled "Ugh!" she barked, stamping her foot into the ground with frustration "I have to return to the classroom, but I don't plan on letting it end like this." she fixed him with a look and grinned "Our fight will have to be continued after classes. Take your time to think up a good counter. I don't plan on losing again." she took off her gauntlets and set them aside before walking over to Searc. She held out a hand "I'm Silke, you'd better expect a good rematch."
Normally she wouldn't care, but even the hotheaded Black Eagle understood that she needed to be there for the first day. Any other day though... it wouldn't be hard to convince her to skip for a fun fight.
Luca | with Jason
"Good morning Agnar~" Luca greeted, smiling fondly at the other. He then returned his attention to Jason on their conversation "Once Rieka arrives I'll introduce you two! I'm very good at convincing others, so perhaps I'll try and ask her to show off." Luca had known her for all of a few hours, but he was convinced they were already close enough. He'd most likely end up with a rejection, but even the thought of that didn't seem to bother him.
Rekka | with Julius, Callan & Estelle
"Of course! Everyone here is nice!" Rekka said with a wag of his tail. He totally didn't understand the elders of his tribe and their dislike of humans. He listened to Estelle and Julius talk briefly before nodding "It's still the first day, we all still have time to get to know each other." some groups seemed to be forming, but they were still new enough he thought they could all get to know each other before people truly split into small groups.
