"No, you are right," Estelle quickly reintroduced herself for him, "Estelle Eaver. Just as Rekka said, there is plenty of time for such things!" The name 'Farley' was yet another that wasn't immediately familiar to her. Another commoner most likely, "I look foreword to getting to know you!" She beamed, her attention briefly being drawn to Rekka's fluffy tail. I am envious. His ears and tail are so cute, she thought. Of course, she had noticed them yesterday too and had even considered asking questions, but she hadn't wanted to push her luck after he had so graciously allowed her to hold his beaststone.

Adora's mouth curled up at the corners, "Well... I suppose it could be nice if it was just us. Two pretty ladies walking through town... a sight indeed," She replied coyly, then began to scan the faces of her housemates. The original Adora von Sangrey had supposedly been something of a flirt, all too friendly with the nobles and a receiver of many gifts from many admirers. Keres had found it difficult to replicate this although, after two years, it came fairly naturally to her now, "Buuut, who do you think would want to come with?"

Rieka's ears twitched. She could have sworn she had just heard someone say her name. Ah, there's Luca. Had it been him or perhaps the boy next to him? She couldn't place his name even though she recognised his face from the house meeting.

Nora tried to keep a straight face but she couldn't really hide the amused glint in her eyes. "Well, if you put it that way..." she said as she glanced around the room. "I suppose just the two of us would be enough. If we're just talking about the Eagles I can't really think of anyone who'd be interested anyway. Not that I can say for sure."
Julius | Golden Deer Classroom | Estelle, Rekka, Callan
"Oh, I think I've heard about you! Well, not you specifically but you're the ones with that observatory, aren't you?" Julius had indeed heard some people talk about the Eaver Observatory so it wasn't that strange for him to know of it. "I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like. It sounds really incredible!" Fortunately for him he didn't even have to lie about that. He did have some appreciation for such things, after all. Not that anything those surface-dwellers could build could even compare to what his people were capable of, of course, but it was still interesting to him. He glanced at Rekka and then back at Estelle. "Anyway, I hope we all get along. Our class seems fun so far!"

Callan nodded at Rekka's words. The kitsune was right, so far everyone seemed nice. At least in their small group. He wondered what his other classmates were like, not having tried to approach any of them this morning. He remembered Estelle talking to one of them yesterday but since he had stayed out of that conversation he couldn't really tell anything about Searc, or anyone else for that matter. "Yeah, I think I like our class so far. I hope the rest gets here soon."

Adora had to stifle a small stab of surprise. It wasn't often her advances were accepted so quickly, and she had expected to be brushed off or simply ignored. She chuckled to herself, "Just us then," The idea didn't appear to disappoint her, "There's no point in bothering everyone else, don't you think?" She tried to remember whether she had heard anything about Nora's family before. Don't they hold relatively high status in the empire? Higher than the von Sangreys at least. She had looked into a number of the students that were attending this year, but the details were escaping her grasp.

Estelle seemed excited to hear that Julius knew of the Observatory, leaning foreword slightly, "That we are! The largest observatory in all of Fódlan!" She said proudly, a hand wandering reflexively to the letter tucked into her blazer. The opportunity to talk about what she loved was clearly very much appreciated, "Are you interested in the stars, by chance, Julius?" At Julius' final words about getting along, she agreed fervently. It was so much fun to talk to everybody. There was no-one whom she hadn't enjoyed talking to and she was starting to think that maybe there wouldn't be.

Searc-Training Grounds-Silke Searc was disappointed there wouldn't be another round, but he understood why they would need to go to class. He put the sword away before returning to her. "I'll be looking forward to it, but I don't plan on losing either," he commented. He shook her hand. "I'm Searc, it was great sparring with you. You are by far one of the best that I've gone against." He gave her a small bow and headed for the exit. Jason-Blue Lions Classroom-Luca Jason tilted his head to the side. He could see why he would be good at it, Luca seemed to be the kind of person that people tended to like right away....or maybe it was just due to the boy's charming aura. "Would be cool to see," he commented, part of him was curious on it, and it would help him with keeping tabs on the wolfskin. "You seem close with a lot of people and we have only been here a day." i'll get things up for the my other characters later) |

Silke practically preened under the praise "Of course, I am the best I know of." and with that she headed off towards the classroom. She thankfully seemed to make it before their professor. When she poked her head in, all she saw were here fellow students. Silke was a bit of a mess, some dust on her clothing and skin from the fight, but she was smiling "Good morning everyone!" she exclaimed, greeting everyone "I will be in the training grounds after classes today, come and test your strength if you dare."
Luca | with Jason
"I am the pinnacle of a people person, I would die without the companionship of all the lovely people here." Luca nodded. He spotted Rieka and waved at her "Oh! Rieka! Come here, I'd like to introduce you to Jason. And can I say, your hair is looking wonderful today, I have fallen for you all over again." honestly his flirting was safer to not take seriously. He was such a playboy after all.

Rekka listened to the two talk, ears perked with interest. The stars huh, it wasn't a topic he was well versed in "I'd love to go to your observatory! I've never been to one before! Is it interesting?" he asked, genuinely excited at even the thought of going to something like that.

Silke's loud entrance caused Grimm to raise his head from his arms. Was training what had kept her? She did look a little... dusty. It was true that he wanted to get some training in and Silke sounded like she might make a good match. "I'll take you up on that." He hoped she knew that he wasn't going to go easy on her, imperial princess or not.

Rieka's twitching ears swivelled. Luca was calling her and there was someone she didn't know next to him. His words seemed somewhat overly familiar, but she took it as a joke and laughed. "Jason, hm?" She reached Luca and Jason, scanning the latter's face. He was around yesterday I think.

Estelle nodded eagerly. To her it was the most beautiful place she knew and plenty interesting. "Maybe if we get a mission that will take us close to the Observatory, we could all go." She outlined the basic functions. Stars technically weren't the only thing they observed despite the Eaver Observatory primarily being known for their research on the celestial. "We look at all sorts of natural phenomena like the weather too! And the building itself is really high up."

"I suppose not. Unless someone happens to got into town to and insists on joining us." Nora chuckled lightly at that. "Not very likely though." She turned her attention to Silke for a moment, greeting her with a cheery "Good morning!". At the house leader's challenge to all of them she nodded, hoping today wouldn't be the only opportunity. "She really takes her training seriously," she remarked to Adora. "What about you? Are you going to take her up on her challenge? Not today, of course, but I think she'd be up for it on other days too."

Vincent just waved and nodded when Silke greeted them. It looked like he had guessed right, Silke seemed to have been to the training grounds already. He wondered if he should train with her today but there were just so many other things to do here. Maybe he could decide after class.

"I sure am! My number one passion may be dancing but I also love having some time to just relax and look up at the night sky." Another thing he didn't have to fake, not entirely at least. The first time Akakios had left their underground-city one of the things that strengthened his resolve the most had been the beautiful sights there. And from what he had gathered Julius seemed to have an appreciation for the stars as well. "Not sure why but looking at the stars always seems to give me what I need at the time. Confidence, hope, patience.. stuff like that." When Estelle brought up the possibility of going somewhere near the Observatory for a mission he nodded eagerly. "Sounds good to me! I'd like to go there too."
Callan | Golden Deer Classroom | Rekka, Estelle, Julius
Callan listened as Estelle and Julius talked. At Rekka's question he glanced at the kitsune and nodded. "It definitely sounds that way," he said. The way Estelle described it made it sound like an interesting place. He turned to Rekka again. "So, you don't have anything like that in Morfis or is it just something the kitsune have no use for?"

Agnar looked from Luca to Rieka and just rolled his eyes, a quiet chuckle escaping him. He had already suspected it yesterday but now he was sure the dancer couldn't speak one sentence without flirting. It was just something they would have to put up with and so far no one seemed to be too bothered by it. Curious about what Luca and Jason needed Rieka for, Agnar glanced towards them but decided to stay where he was.

Just another filthy surface-dweller to my eye and yet she's pretty important to this lot. I doubt she's as good a fighter as she wants everyone to think... "Practicing with her might be good for me. It's been a while since I got the chance to use my bow on a moving target." She looked back at Nora. "What do you think the other house leaders are like? The prince, and the duke's son?"

Fion glanced around from where he sat, trying to decide on someone to talk to. He was feeling awkward just sitting there on his own whilst everyone else had grouped up and were conversing. Agnar didn't seem to be talking to anyone so he settled on him. "Hello." He hadn't really spoken to anyone yesterday apart from Pierce and Silke, both brief conversations.

Philomel was on his way to the classroom of the Golden Deer. He had been thinking about a way to make the first lesson ever-so-slightly less boring and had been struck with an idea thanks to his talk of tea with the other professors. In fact, he held a pot of tea leaves at that very moment. An expensive blend which he had bought from the merchants a couple of days ago.

"I'll challenge her for sure. If she's half as good as she says she is going up against her would be great training." At Adora's question Nora thought about it for a moment. "I've talked to Neason for a bit yesterday. He's the house leader of the Golden Deer but you probably wouldn't know it from the way he acts." She laughed a little and shook her head before growing serious again. "He's not too fond of his standing, or the nobility in general. At least that's what I gathered. I wouldn't be surprised if he befriended the commoners of his house in no time. I haven't seen the Lions' house leader yet though. But if he's anything like Silke or Neason we're in for an interesting year."

"Hello," Agnar replied, not sure if that would suffice or if he was expected to be more formal. Regardless he kept a respectful tone, neither sounding too casual or too distant. Since they were classmates it probably wouldn't be good to treat Fion too differently. "You're Fion Lamaire, right? Sorry. Prince Fion I mean." As much as he wanted to act the same way as he did around the others he had met so far it didn't seem right to do so right now. But then again he could just let Fion decide how he wanted his classmates to act around him. It would definitely make things easier. "Pleased to meet you. My name is Agnar Víðir Elvarsson. I'm one of this year's albinean students."

"Oh really?" Adora murmured. Interesting. There were a lot of nobles in the empire who thrived off of their standing, people who found the idea of interacting with commoners disgusting. She couldn't see any of them saying anything to jeopardise their statuses. She could understand the sentiment... in a way. "A mentality like that will make him popular." Now, what did she know about Fion? That there had been no small amount of consternation in regards to his pursuit in the healing arts and that there was still discord surrounding his appointment as heir to the throne. Jason would know more from his time living in Faerghus. "Sounds like a motley trio already. I just hope Silke is more than a match for them."

Fion nodded, his expression mild. "Agnar." He echoed. "Just Fion if you please." At least he wasn't as nervous around him as Pierce had seemed. Albinea was a place he had visited once or twice for diplomatic purposes, but he wasn't very familiar with the people there. It was actually something of a relief to be talking to someone who wasn't from Faerghus. He probably does not have an opinion of me as of yet. "I am pleased to meet you as well. Albinea is a beautiful place though too cold for some. The last time I was there, it snowed up to the knee." He said in an attempt to engage him in friendly conversation.
(My assumption is that Albinea, Morfis and Sreng would all have some form of leader/ruler/etc.? Since they are different countries?)

She didn't know how Silke would fare against the others of course but given how seriously she seemed to take her training there probably wasn't much to worry about. "I'm curious about our other classmates though. They're probably no push-overs but the same can be said about everyone else. I don't think there's anyone here who wants their house to lose." Agnar | Blue Lions Classroom | FionRelieved that Fion didn't insist on such formalities Agnar nodded with a brief smile. "Alright then." He was a little surprised to hear that Fion had been to Albinea but now that he thought about it he supposed it made sense for the future ruler of the Kingdom of Fearghus. At the mention of the cold and the snow Agnar chuckled. He'd heard quite a few people who had visited Albinea say something similar. "You'd think people from the kingdom would be used to the cold but then again it's still quite a difference," he said. "The snow can be hard to deal with sometimes though. We know how to handle it of course but it can still make things harder for us. Let's hope you never have to deal with our snowstorms during your visits. Most people who come to our country don't seem to like them very much. I wonder why." He shook his head with a slight grin. For all his talk about the downsides of his home it was clear that he loved it there.
(They probably do. Since there isn't much information in the games we can pretty much do whatever. But yeah, them having leaders, rulers or something similar makes sense.)

Considering this topic exhausted, she shifted and took on a questioning look. "You don't happen to have an interest in the theatre do you? Been to a few shows maybe? Ogled at the actresses?"

"Yes, I am starting to think I was lucky to only have snow up to the knee." Fion said, mildly amused at the prospect of being caught in an Albinean snowstorm. Personally, he loved the snow, but he could remember a number of the people in his retinue complaining about it at the time. His father had insisted he be heaped high with layers of fur and cloth. "I also missed out on the frost bite thankfully. I can not imagine why you do not get more visitors." He added with a wiggle of his fingers and a wry smile. "I do admire the resourcefulness that must come with such harsh conditions though. That is to say... I am impressed that you can handle the extremes on a daily basis."
(We can play it by ear if it ever comes up owo)

"We've never really had a use for it. There's more dusty libraries than anything interesting." Rekka said with a nod. The importance of magic certainly led to the way his hometown had been built. Though, looking at the starts at night was always nice, so he just assumed that he'd enjoy an observatory either way.

She was different from what he was expecting her too look like. He listened to Luca talk, he certainly seemed like the kind of person that would need people around. He turned his attention back to Rieka, trying to lock into his memory of her appearance so it would be easy to find her. |

Estelle listened to Julius talk, nodding constantly. It was nice to meet someone who held interest in the same things she did, and what he said about the stars giving him what he needed for certain situations struck a cord with her. "Oh, you dance?" She asked, feeling that it was only polite to ask him about his passions. Her dancing experience was mostly limited to balls, and so, whilst she wasn't bad at it, she only really knew how to waltz.

"Most people seem to wonder why we even bother and don't move somewhere else. Not that I dislike Fódlan, of course. There's so much to see here and while it may have its own problems, like every other country, it seems like a good place to live."

"That's too bad. There's not much to do, is there?" While the 'dusty libraries' did sound kind of interesting to Callan he supposed that it could easily become boring if there really wasn't too much of anything else. He took a moment to listen to Estelle and Julius before he looked to Rekka again. "Looks like there's really a lot for you to discover here then."

"I do. It's probably unlike the dances you might know but I certainly wouldn't consider it a lesser form," Julius told her. "It's... hard to describe, actually. I know it sounds strange but in my experience it seems to make people want to try harder. Some have told me it gives them the strength to keep going. Others said it makes them more efficient, that they feel like they can do twice as much as they usually could." He shrugged. "It might make no sense right now but I believe you'll know what I mean once you see it. It'll definitely have its use at the end of this month and during any missions they'll assign to us."

"Rieka, I have to ask, do Wolfskin often let others touch their ears and tail?" he asked without hesitating. Thankfully Luca wasn't so forward he'd touch someone without their consent. That was simply in poor taste and against what he stood for. Flirting shouldn't be something that made another uncomfortable "And will you be shifting during battle practice? Or is that something you reserve for close battles?"

Rekka nodded with agreement. His attention was drawn back over to the other conversation as they spoke of dance "I've heard of that." he mused "That dancers are capable and useful on the front lines. Adora gave her a dubious look, then laughed with her. "Ah, I see. It would be nice if there were a theatre in town," She mused, resting her chin on the palm of her hand, red sash moving slightly in the wind coming from the open door. "You see, I have acted in ... a few shows. I quite miss the stage." So far, she had only been the leading role in one production. For others, she often played a friend to the hero or heroine, an accomplice to the antagonist or even just a background character. The real Adora had not been picky about the roles she took.

Fion nodded in agreement. "I hope we are able to make you feel welcome," he said sincerely, thinking that if he were to spend an entire year away from his home country, he would feel incredibly homesick by the end of it. Or maybe it'd be freeing. "I hear that we also have a student from Sreng and a wolfskin so I have been trying to familiarise myself with the customs of these other places, but there is only so much I can pick up from books." Feeling the need to act like a house leader, he continued, "And, uh, as your house leader, please feel free to come to me if you have any concerns."

Rieka gave Luca a questioning look. "I guess... back at the tribe." Her tail lashed behind her and she glanced at it. "Most humans aren't bold or stupid enough to try." The comment wasn't exactly directed at him nor meant to be taken as an insult. Humans who did attempt such things often wanted something from them. Their pelts for a coat, their tails for a scarf. "I could. Did you want to spar like that?"

You must have played a lot of different roles. Having to not only memorize all your lines but also play the role in a convincing way takes a lot of work and practice, I imagine."

Agnar nodded at the mention of the other foreign students. He hadn't met Imrie yet but he had already talked to Rieka yesterday. The Black Eagles also had students from Sreng and Albinea and the Golden Deer had one from Morfis, at least that's what he had heard. So he wouldn't be the only one who had to get used to this place. "I'm sure we can tell you some things as well if you ever want to learn more," he said. At Fion's next words he grinned briefly. "Hey, don't make that offer lightly. Who knows how many of us will take you up on that?" Then he grew serious again and nodded. "But honestly, thanks. I'll keep that in mind."
Konstantin
Seeing that it was almost time for the lesson to start Konstantin began to make his way to the classroom. Most students would probably be there by now. At least if they didn't want to be late on their first day.

A well-informed king would make a better ruler and so on. "That could be troublesome," he admitted. That said, he liked to help people even if he wasn't the best at going out of his way to talk to them. "Good, I am glad. We are all going to be fighting side by side for the foreseeable future so I want everyone to feel that they can rely on me."

Philomel swept into the Golden Deer classroom, Mal on his shoulder as always. "Good morning, everyone!" He called out as he made his way to his desk at the front. "It seems that we are missing a couple of people." He observed, seeing a few empty seats. The professor would give them a minute or two to arrive before starting the lesson proper.

When Professor Philomel entered the room he looked over. He turned so he was sitting forwards in his seat, ready to listen to whatever their teacher had to say. Rekka had never been a 'good' student. Not bad either, but never motivated. However, in a new setting such as this he did have much more motivation to pay attention.

Philomel, after waiting a few moments for the stragglers, carried on, "Yes, good morning and welcome to your first day of class," he said and quickly wrote his name on the black-board for any students who were having trouble remembering. "I am afraid today will not be particularly riveting, but please do listen." He proceeded to explain a number of rules that he hadn't at the meeting. Rules such as: do not ride someone else's pegaseus, horse or wyvern without permission - students looking to practice riding or flying will need to ask a knight or a professor first.
"Now, onto the notices. For those with an interest in fishing, the fishing pond can be utilised starting from tomorrow morning. Other than this, the choir festival is also on tomorrow. If singing is more your speed, do consider going along. All notices are on the bulletin board if you want more details on anything I have mentioned."

Searc-Golden Deer Classroom- Searc had settled in the back as he thought over his fights with Silke. Her uppercuts would be an issue but if he could get the hang of blocking those types of attacks. He didn't bother looking over to the Professor when he started talking, so far just rules and notices, it wasn't anything he would be partaking in so he felt no need to bother with choir practice or fishing. Neason-Golden Deer Classroom- Nerason was nearly late but he seemed to have gotten there right when the professor began talking. he took a seat in the back just to avoid causing any issues for any of the others. He listened to the rest of the rules, they all made sense, similar to rules his parents had in regards to the riding classes animals. He wasn't certain if he would join in the other two activities but it should be fun. Ciarra-Golden Deer Classroom- Ciarra settled into a desk up front. She listened as Professor Philomel gave off more rules, a bit of her was curious to check out the choir practice, as it sounded like it could be fun, though she didn't consider herself a good singer, it would still be a fun experience to have while at the Officer's academy. Alastair-Black Eagles Classroom- Alastair entered the classroom, everyone seemed to be there, and part of him felt bad for being among the last ones arriving. He stretched as he took one of the desks in the front of the classroom with a small hum, no reason being upset over the whole thing, it was only the first day. He noted the professor not being there yet. Elara-Black Eagles Classroom- Elara settled in the back of the classroom, it felt more comfortable to be able to see everyone. She rested her head on her arms, as she thought to herself. She hoped that it would be a simple day today. She looked to the other students, she knew she would need to talk with them to be able to get along with them for the year, but they all seemed rather intimidating to talk to. Orryn-Professors Rooms-> Traveling to Black Eagles Classroom- Orryn headed from his room to the classrooms, he knew he would give the rest of the rules, let them know of choir practice and fishing being open tomorrow and than let them ask questions if they had any. He had two different plans for the day, that he would share with the students and let them choose what they wanted for the day, it was only the first day so he didn't want to overload them to much. Pierce-Blue Lions Classroom- Pierce entered the room, he got turned around only once but managed to find his way to the classrooms. He watched his classmates for a bit before heading inside. Pierce noted the professor not being there, so he was hoping to talk to some more of his classmates before their professor arrived. Imrie-Blue Lions Classroom- Imrie was glad the others were showing up, she watched them for a bit. She hoped the professor would get there soon so class could start. She would worry about getting to know her classmates afterwards, part of her didn't see the point as it was only for a year than they all would go their separate ways, but she saw the benefit of getting to know the others, after all she would be with them for a whole year. Jason-Blue Lions Classroom-Luca, Rieka Jason listened to the to talk. He felt awkward on chiming in, but he was content on listening to them talk. He glanced over whenever other students would walk in. He then looked at the other students that were sitting at the desks, looking to see if there was anyone he should talk to after the classes were over for the day, he knew Rieka would be one of them, but was there someone else that he could speak to. |

He would just ask whoever seemed to be the least intimidating, surely he could do that. At the mention of choir practice he smiled slightly. It sounded fun so maybe he would attend.

With that he gave a brief nod and quickly looked around to see which seats were still free. "Looking forward to train with you," he told Fion and then chose a seat in front of the middle row. The lesson would probably start soon, now that all his classmates were here.
Konstantin | Blue Lions ClassroomMere seconds after the last student arrived Konstantin entered the classroom. Seeing that everyone was present he made his way to the front of the room. Not that it was much of an indication of everyone's reliability but it was still good to know that no one was late for the first day. He greeted the class with a "Good morning, everyone." and waited for everyone to settle down. Once the students had stopped chatting amongst themselves he went over any rules that he hadn't mentioned yesterday and informed them about the choir festival and the fishing pond. "As for the year in general, all our students will be given several duties. Everyone will be doing each task at least once during your time here." He listed a few examples like working at the stables or kitchen duty. While he and the other professors would discuss the details later it would still be better to let the students know what was expected of them. It would make things easier to explain for when everything was decided."But more about that tomorrow. And before anyone asks: No, you can't swap undesirable tasks with someone else so don't even try it."
("The only exception would be if you're so inapt at something that you're a threat to everyone's lives. Like me at cooking. There would be no survivors. Wait, why am I telling you this?")

Philomel read out a few more notices concerning the marketplace and again: no walking around alone at night. Each bulletin board, along with the regular notices, had the nighttime rule scrawled upon it. "I am only reiterating it for those of you who may have missed some of the meeting," he assured them lightly, then proceeded to go over the roster that the professors would be writing up later that day. "If there is anyone with a interest in helping out in a particular area, I am happy to take it to the meeting. That, of course, will not allow you to avoid doing other duties." He wagged a finger and broke out into a sunny smile. Mal went over to peck the hand of a student who looked suspiciously like they may be sleeping. "I do believe that is everything?" Peering at the parchment littering his desk for a moment, he spread his arms wide. "Does anyone have any questions? Big or small, no matter."

"Likewise," Fion returned. Even if healing is my primary focus, it can not hurt to train my sword and reason skills now and then. Though short, he had enjoyed his conversation with Agnar. He doubted that everyone would be so easy to talk to. As Konstantin went over the rules and notices, he listened attentively. Neither choir or fishing appealed to him much. He would much rather spend time in the library or around the cats of the monastery.

Estelle smiled at the mention of the choir. She liked singing very much and could already see herself going there tomorrow. Fishing, on the other hand, was not quite her style. The reference to the nighttime rule brought back thoughts of the night before when she had spoken with Vincent.

Silke | Black Eagles Classroom
Silke had no questions on her end, so she waited to see what her other classmates might say. She yawned and stretched back, cracking her back along the back of her chair. Honestly she didn't want to be in class and would much rather be training. But she didn't complain and instead waited for her chance.
Megumi | Black Eagles Classroom
This class was of no interest to Megumi. Her poor personality was easily read on her expression, and she sat with her arms crossed across her chest. A permanent scowl had made it's way onto her face, and she was looking out the window as the professor spoke. But her ears were swiveled towards him, indicating that she was listening.
Rekka | Golden Deer Classroom
Rekka listened with interest, eager for the class to begin. He shifted in his seat, tail occasionally swishing from side to side and ears twitching. It wasn't easy for him to sit still, but he was obviously interested in whatever was being said.

Orryn-Black Eagles Classroom-Students Orryn walked into the room, the sleepy aura that usually followed the male seemed to be gone, as he made his way to the front. Setting the papers on to the desk that was set aside for him. "Alright we just have a few more rules to go over," he stated giving them all a calm smile. The rules were similar to what Professor Philomel had given, ie no riding another person's pegasus/horse/wyvern without the permission of the rider, among the a few others. "As of tomorrow fishing in the pond in front of the dining hall and choir practice in the cathedral will be available for you to partake in, and there will be notices pinned up on bulletin boards to let you know of anything going on. You will be expected to work around the academy, nothing to serious, just things like stable duty, cooking, and weeding for example, and no you can not change with someone else. The only exception for you not to be able to do the job given to you is if you are sick or injured, but feel free to give me a preference on what job you would be interested in doing, and I can bring it up when the other professors and I discuss the assignments. Now before we get into what I have planned for the day, do any of you have questions? Be it on the rules, and I will answer them the best I can." |

Grimm tapped his fingers on the desk lightly, looking ever-so-slightly bored and yet still attentive enough to be paying attention. Maybe he would check out the fishing pond at some point. He could always use anything he caught for cooking practice after all, and considering he was tempted to volunteer for dining hall duty, it didn't sound like a bad idea.

Nora had no questions either and as for working around the academy, she had no preferences either. Since it seemed like everyone would have to do every task at some point it wouldn't really matter anyway.

Julius glanced at the others, wondering if they would volunteer for something or not. He didn't really care about the tasks so he felt no need to voice his interest in anything. The repeated mention of the nighttime rule didn't bother him, at least not visibly. He sort of knew why it existed but for now he had to pretend he didn't find anything strange about it.

Agnar listened as some more rules were listed and nodded at the mention of fishing and the choir festival. Maybe he would attend the latter. As for the tasks, it didn't really matter to him what he would have to do first. Some things sounded more interesting than others but he would get to do those too.

"Before we get started there's another thing I'd like to mention," Konstantin said. "Since we'll assess everyone's skills during the mock battle this month's training will be less focused. I expect you to use this time well, to find out what you want to focus on. Some of you have a clear goal in mind already but those of you who don't know yet or only have a vague idea should take this month as an opportunity to find something that goes along with your interests or abilities."
