Shit, he didn't want to stay here but he also didn't want to go into a fight and potentially get hurt. What would he do if he got a black eye?! But... the two other volunteers were people he definitely needed to chat with more. And if people from the other houses were coming why not "I can come." he chirped, raising a hand "You'll want me to! I am an excellent support." he nodded. From the battle talk he had paid attention to, having a dancer on field was basic strategy, and a good one at that.

Suppressing an exasperated sigh Konstantin just looked over at Imrie and Agnar. "Fine. You two make sure he doesn't get himself beaten up too badly." He then nodded to Ambrose. "I think these three will suffice. And having Luca along for support will prove helpful. He's no fool even if he certainly likes to make himself look like one." It definitely would be better than sending just another physical fighter and he didn't think Jason was ready for this just yet.

Ambrose looked at the three students coming with. "Sounds good," he said. "Thank you grandpa for letting me steal some students." He motion3d for the three to come along as he was already heading out of the classroom, he had to other classes to interuppt after all! He decided the next ass he would interrupt would be the Black Eagles.

Imrie gathered her things into a neat pile, and left them where she was sitting. She would come back for them when they got back from the assignment. She shot a small glare into Luca's direction, she hadn't interacted with him alot, but she had heard things about him. "I'm not his babysitter," she said towards Konstantin. "Agnar can deal with him." With that she left the room to follow the knight.

"I'd hate for their leader to suddenly become incapable of fulfilling his task." An empty threat, of course, he wouldn't get into a fight over a joke like that. At Imrie's remark he nodded and turned to Luca, giving the dancer a look that clearly said "Behave or else."

"Well, guess we'd best be going now," he said to Luca before he too followed the knight outside. He didn't mind having to fight alongside the dancer but he did wonder if Luca would get on his teammates' nerves with his constant flirting. Imrie at least seemed to be wary of him and Agnar hoped that whoever was going to join their group would be more tolerant of it than her.
(Just noticed it now and couldn't help but laugh: "He decided the next ass he would interrupt would be the Black Eagles." I usually don't care about typos since I make plenty of mistakes myself but this one I just have to point out! Sorry xD Please, please, please don't fix it!)

Just like last time he burst into the classroom interuppting the lesson going on. "Hello," he announced loudly. "I have come to steal a student from you," he said looking at Orryn. Wht does he always look like hes about to pass out? He thought. "I have an assignment to deal with some bandits, and I'm choosing to take a few students to give them some experience." He observed the ones in the room. To see if any showed an interest.

To everyone’s surprise, Megumi stood “I’ll go.” her face was set in the usual scowl, but she wasn’t about to take no for an answer and walked towards the small group. If she had to sit inside with all these humans for one more minute she was going to lose her mind. And if they were dealing with bandits she’d be allowed to beat the shit out of them without getting in trouble. A win win.

"Maybe not talk like that around Imrie. She'd sooner throw you off a cliff than carry you," he told Luca, quickly giving a wink before they joined Imrie outside. He then stood back to wait for Ambrose recruiting the next students, wondering which Eagles would join. It didn't take long for a student to leave the classroom. Oh great. It was Megumi. While she would probably be able to handle herself Agnar didn't look forward to having yet another person around who was likely to be aggravated by Luca.

Poking his head into the Golden Deer classroom he saw it was empty. "Hmm where did they go?" He looked to the other students. "Any idea where your Deer are?"

(Just a post so we have the Deer somewhere and so I know what they're doing.) Greenhouse | DeerThe Golden Deer were indeed in the Greenhouse, listening as their professor talked about yet another plant, all with varying degrees of interest ranging from genuinely invested to bored out of their minds. Some certainly looked like they'd rather be somewhere else. Julius was busy trying not too laugh too hard at something that Neason had said while Callan tried to pay attention but failed to do so for too long, often allowing himself to get distracted by whatever thought crossed his mind. |

Her ears perked up slightly when they got close to the Greenhouse and the voices of the Deers reached her senses.

"Hello Deer," he greeted walking into the greenhouse, watching as Searc slapped Neason in the back of the head over something the boy said. "I have an assignment and I was wondering if any of you would like to join me. It's to deal with some bandits on a travel route." He watched the students, not bothering to l9ok at Philomel, the professor hadn't even seemed to have noticed his presence, the man seemed lost in his talk of some kind of plant. "I'll probably only take one of you, I have a few students with me already. So first one to speak up I'm stealing you."

Imrie narrowed her eyes at Luca. "I won't need a cliff to throw you from. I have a fishing pond right there. Let's throw you in and see if you know how to swim," she said. Luca was already getting on her nerves, she knew this guy would flirt with anything, but this was just annoying to deal with, and having to go on an assignment with him? It would be a miracle if she didn't hit him at least once.

Can't say I was expecting you to like that sort of thing though, it's kinda of cute." he blabbered without any thought of his own physical safety. Luca lacked something in his head that gave normal people a sense of survival apparently. Not than his clothes left much to the imagination anyways. If he was the type to wear a white top getting soaked might be more exciting. Perhaps he should try to that approach some time.

"Sure. Why not," he snorted, rolling his eyes but it was clear that he wasn't as annoyed as he pretended to be. "If only so Imrie won't have to turn into a criminal," he added with a slight grin. At Imrie's remark he briefly glanced at her and Megumi, hoping that Luca wouldn't aggravate either of them enough to put those words into action. At least not until after this assignment. Though Luca's next words made it very likely that she would indeed try something to get him to shut up.

Callan looked up in surprise as Ambrose walked into the Greenhouse, asking the class if anyone wanted to deal with some bandits. Before he could stop himself he nodded and took a step towards the doorway. "I-if that's okay," he added, glancing at the others. "I mean, if anyone else wants to-" he quickly shook his head, not finishing his sentence. He didn't want to keep others from going but now that he had already volunteered he couldn't take it back either, fearing it would make him look like a coward. "So uh... see ya!" with that he hurried outside, hoping his classmates wouldn't hold it against him. As he took one look at the group he was about to join he immediately regretted his choice. He hadn't interacted with most of them yet, finding them intimidating, and Imrie and Megumi did look pretty annoyed already. Oh well, at least he knew Luca. Maybe it wouldn't be that bad. He glanced nervously at the two girls and Agnar and offered a small smile when he nodded to Luca.

He couldn't really blame her though and with a shrug he turned to the pond, ready to help Luca climb out if necessary, acknowledging Callan with a quick "hi" as he spotted him. Then he turned back to the pond. "Can't say you didn't deserve that," he smirked once Luca emerged from the water.

"Oh well, how bad can it be," he joked at Ambrose's remark but grew apprehensive again when Imrie pushed Luca into the pond. Callan watched for a moment before he slowly walked over to Luca, shooting a wary glance towards Imrie. He'd just keep his distance from her for now. "What did you do? She looks kinda ticked off," he asked once he stood near Luca but he wasn't sure if he even wanted an answer. So he quickly tried to change the subject a little. "Uh... can you even dance properly when you're that wet? I don't think- oh crap." realizing his mistake he quickly turned away, taking a few steps back to get further away form Imrie and Megumi. If Luca turned his question into another flirty line he didn't want to be the focus of everyone's wrath. "I'm sorry," he whispered, looking pleadingly at the rest of the group.

Agnar shook his head and stepped back once Luca was out of the water. "Guess that's settled then?" he said to the others, clearly not wanting to put up with another round of this. "Good, we should go then." He looked over at Ambrose, waiting for him to give the order to get moving. Better to leave now before Luca could make this even worse with another remark of his. Agnar slowly made his way over to Ambrose but stopped in his tracks at Callan's question, grimacing at the shorter boy's words. "Oh no..." he muttered, shooting the Deer a glare.

"Let's head off," the knight said, waving his hand in the air. He headed off for the gates glancing over his shoulder to see if the students were coming. Pausing briefly in his footsteps. "We should probably get your weapons if you don't have them already." Giving weapons to some of them seemed like a bad idea at the moment, but they would be needed for when they leave.

The dancer lit up at the comment. He got in close to Callan, snaking an arm around the others waist "I can't have you thinking I won't be useful on this little trip! Perhaps a demonstration is in order." he looked like he was more than happy to play into Callans bad wording and distract the group for a little longer. Their knight babysitter didn't seem all too eager to stop him quickly either.

Megumi was not shy, and she reached over. The Taguel snagged Luca by the back of his neck and pulled him back "Are all humans so wasteful with their time?" she hissed, glaring at him "We're leaving, stop being a philandering for five minutes." she released him and made a show of wiping off her hand on her pants, cringing at the fact she'd really just touched a human. And a human covered in pond water no less.

Callan took another step back but not fast enough to get away from Luca before the latter could reach him. He yelped in surprise, mostly due to the cold pond-water the other boy was soaked with. "N-no, I'm good," he got out. "I didn't mean- I'mnotdoubtingyouoranythingnowpleaseletgoofme!" Thankfully Megumi chose that moment to pull Luca back, giving Callan the desired opportunity to break away from him. He shot the taguel a grateful look and awkwardly hurried after Ambrose, clearly uncomfortable with having gotten some pond water on him. But at least it wasn't so much that he couldn't properly move in his clothes. As they walked they past the training grounds where the Deer had practiced before they had gone of the the Greenhouse. He quickly ran in to grab the shortsword he always used and rejoined the others.

"Just try not to kill each other, okay?" he muttered at Imrie's remark about controlling Luca better. He quickly followed Ambrose, wanting to get this over with before anyone else made an unfortunately worded comment. When Luca took a hold of Callan he walked a bit faster, not wanting to have to deal with any more innuendos for now. They passed the dorms and Agnar quickly went to his room to grab his bow and his quiver, as well as a sword when they passed the training grounds. He would mostly use the latter but he'd use the bow if it would be to their advantage.

Ambrose paused in the entrance hall, looking at the students. "Alright now when we get out there, I want you all to be careful, as you are my responsibility and I don't need your professors yelling at me for you guys getting hurt before the mock battle," he said. "Just mke good choices, and if you need help ask." He gave a once over the students again, to ensure they were ready. "Alright let's head off," he said and turned and walk to the gate, he had sent for a squire to retrieve his horse and to wait by the gate, while he had done his rounds to get students. He was choosing to ignore Luca's flirting antics, but if it continued to be an issue he would send the boy off, or at least keep him separated from the other students.
Imrie-Entrance Hall-Bandit Bashers
Imrie had retrieved a sword and a tomes from her room. She wanted to be prepared for any stance she might find herself in when they fought off the bandits. She eyed the weapon Callan had. "You didn't strike me as a sword user," she commented towards him. To her Callan gave off lance or maybe brawl vibes. She was curious to see how he fought now, maybe he would be a decent opponent to train with.

(Do they even use tomes in Three Houses? I know they used them in some or most of the previous games (plus scrolls in Fates for the Hoshidans) but in Three Houses they don't seem to need anything to cast spells. If we want tomes though I'll edit my post to have Callan grab one as well or we can say it's different for some of the other countries so you don't have to change anything either.)

"Well, I'm more of a mage really," he told her, glancing at the sword he had picked. "But I don't want to rely on magic alone and swords work pretty well for me. Neither axes nor lances go well with my fighting style." Axes were more on the heavier side and lances weren't easy for him to wield. He hadn't tried bows and gauntlets yet but he already knew that he would have trouble with the latter. Swords on the other hand were neither too light nor too heavy and allowed him to move quickly and precise. "You're using magic too, right?" he asked after a moment of hesitation, still finding her a bit intimidating but he was curious enough to push that aside, at least for now. "What kind of magic will you be focusing on?"

Luca grabbed a sword, just in case it came down to it. Hopefully he wouldn’t be forced to actually fight. Honestly he wasn’t terrible, but compared to everyone else his skills were subpar. Luca was also pretty good with throwing knives, but more in a dramatic flair way than a stab someone in the face way.
Megumi | Bandit Bashers
Megumi noted the weapons that the other students chose, but didn’t grab anything herself. She preferred to fight in her beast form. They used weapons in her tribe, but the thought of using weapons around humans made her cringe. A part of her wanted to prove that Taguels didn’t even need weapons. Petty? Yes. But that was on brand for her at this point.

i know thats what the spells are basically are lol, they are the books, and im just i'll use tome sionce its universal for a spell book word, mainly cause im not sure if it will be faith or magic one, so i just put tome till i could decide what type of magic she is gonna use for the battle, maybe faith so we have a person for healing)

(Three Houses is kinda weird in that aspect. If they use spellbooks/tomes/whatever we wanna call it then it's kinda weird that they're never seen in battle, unlike other weapons. But on the other hand if they don't need those then it's weird that each spell has limited uses, aside from a gameplay perspective because magic would be way overpowered if it had infinite uses.)

Being in the same class as Luca and Imrie he wasn't surprised by their choices but he was slightly curious about the other two students. Megumi seemed to want to fight without a weapon but then again the beastkin wouldn't need any. But since Rieka was training in brawl he was wondering if the other two beastkin would pick up a weapon as well. It seemed like that wasn't the case for Megumi. Though he didn't really know much about Sreng and given their history with Faerghus he wouldn't be surprised if some of the teachings of Seiros had found their way to at least some people of the neighbouring country. "I want to learn more dark magic," he then said to her question. "I kinda have an affinity for those kind of spells and I have an easier time with reason than faith. I'll probably pick up a faith spell or two in case I need it but other than that I'll stick to dark magic." |

"A few people followed the teachings of Serios in my village, but it wasn't fully accepted, so those that did were often looked down on, so you had to hide away when you were practicing the faith, but here I have more freedom to learn. But your faith in Fodlan is a very interesting thing." She looked to him briefly, maybe he wouldn't be on her list after all, he seemed like a decent person. She was grateful that she had gotten into the academy part of her doubting if she would be accepted. "That sounds smart," she said. "If you ever need help with learning faith let me know and I can try to teach you."

Ambrose paused when he got to the gate, taking the reins of his horse from the squire, turning his attention back to the students. "We don't have to far to go to get to the targeted route, be careful and keep an eye on your surroundings though, as we never know if they have gained the courage to start attacking closer." "Ah, I see. It does make sense that they don't fully accept it but still, it must be hard to have to hide such a thing," he said as they slowly reached the gate. He'd definitely hate it if he couldn't pursue his interests without having to hide them. "Looks like you can use this year well, then. I know not everyone here is super welcoming but there are some church members who'd be more than happy to teach you more." At her offer he nodded with a shy smile, hoping it wouldn't be rude to accept. He hadn't really thought of seeking out students from other houses yet and probably wouldn't be the one to ask them directly, at least not this early into the year when he barely knew anyone. "If it's not too much trouble for you, sure! Oh, and if you ever want to look more into reason magic you could ask Estelle. She's good with black magic. Or we could train if you want to learn a dark spell."
(You might feel accepted for now but just you wait until the Verdant Rain Moon, dear Imrie. There'll be creepy cultists who use their weird magic to give your blood to their monsters to give them a crest. Same goes for (most of) the other foreign kids.)
(Also, how to have a normal conversation with Callan: just show you have an interest in magic (and/or wyverns and pegasi) xD)

Agnar suppressed a sigh as he looked over their little group. Ambrose probably knew what he was doing and as long as she stayed away from Luca Imrie could be counted on as well. He didn't know much about Callan but at least he wasn't being difficult. As for Megumi, he also didn't know much about her but for now he trusted that she was capable. He just hoped that Luca wouldn't get on Megumi and Imrie's nerves for a while since they both seemed to be the most annoyed with his antics. Still, he nodded at the dancer's words. "Well, at least we do look like we can deal with them," he conceded. "Our group seems balanced enough for this." While they could have had some more variation this wasn't too bad either. Good enough to take on a small group of bandits.
