Introduction: You are walking through a heavily pined forest. There is an uneasy feeling in the pit of your stomach. You have heard the legends of cats that walked like the olden Dukes and Duchesses. They wore crowns, necklaces, rings, and ear-rings like the two-legs did. The ones that fought in an arena to win such treasures, the taste of blood sharp on their tongues. You came to this forest seeking out their camp. You wanted some of the treasure, fame, and glory for yourself, to be a hero and leave a long legacy behind once you joined your ancestors in the stars. Crack! You surge into the air with fright. It was just a stick you stepped on. Sighing with relief, you continue your dangerous journey. The sound of wolves howling in the distance is enough to make your fur stand on end. Soon the sun begins to sink over the horizon. It is getting dark, and you feel as blind as a mole in the daylight. You spot a bramble bush and quickly dive into it. The crying of the wolves and the bears' growling sends you into a nightmare filled sleep. You wake up to the sound of birdsong, glad to have survived the night. As soon as you step out of the bushes a blue figure knocks you to the ground. You look up. It's another cat, a tom to be precise. You can see the muscles rippling under his thick, shiny coat and gulp. The tom's violet eyes are blazing with anger. "What are you doing here?" he growls. "I'm looking for a group of cats called EmeraldClan," you say. The tom's eyes fill up with surprise and amusement. He gets off of you. While you are slowly getting to your paws, he says, "So you've heard of us. I'm surprised that you've made it this far. Normally a kitty-pet like you would of froze to death or got eaten by a predator." The tom pauses before continuing, "I am Sapphirestar, chieftain of EmeraldClan. Normally I don't let in outsiders, but you've proven to make an excellent warrior. Would you like to join EmeraldClan?" You nod, eyes full of excitement. "I'd love to join, thank you," you meow. Sapphirestar nods and motions for you to follow him. "Come, let's go to the camp."

History: Long ago, the Ancient Egyptians worshiped cats like gods. They made crowns, jewelry, and other goods for the cats to wear. The King of Egypt decided to send a gift to the German Duke (At the time it wasn't called Germany though). The King sent cats crowns, jewelry and goods to the Duke so that his cats could also feel like Kings and Queens. 20 years later the castle was abandoned, the castle's many cats along with it. They formed a Clan and let other cats join. Pretty soon they were thriving under the rule of Emerald. Emerald's ancestors gave her nine lives and she became Emeraldstar. 10 generations later, EmeraldClan continues to thrive and prosper under Sapphirestar's rule.

Rules and Clan Code
Rules
1. No god-modding, power-playing, or spot-lighting.
2. Follow forum and ghost rules. They are my rules.
3. Be kind out of roleplay. I hate bullies.
4. When out of roleplay, use (), {}, or [].
5. No using or killing other peoples' characters without their permission. I will ask the member whose characters you say you have permission to roleplay or kill. If they say that you were not given permission you will be banned for a week. I hate when people lie to me.
6. Please have realistic pelt/ eye colors. I will let people have violet and blue/violet eyes though. Characters must have flaws and weaknesses as well. No exceptions.
7. No swearing. Use cat swears like foxdung and mouse-brain instead.
8. Keep it PG-13 at the highest. This is a kids' website. No detailed kit-birthing, excessive gore, etc. Be appropiate.
9. Please be as literate and active as you can. I understand that you all have lives outside the forums, but please be on at least twice a week. Four times if you have a high role. If you make mistakes in spelling and grammar once in a while it's okay.
10. Do not create prophecies, omens, and;/or cats with powers without my permission and the members' characters involved's permission.
11. Do not excessively break the code. Three strikes and you're out sorta deal.
12. Follow the rules above. Three strikes and you're out.
13. I do cleaning every Monday. Make sure you are active.
14. Have fun!
Warrior Code: The Principles a Warrior Must Live By
1. Defend your Clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from the other Clans, but your loyalty must remain to your Clan, as one day you may meet them in battle.
2. Do not hunt or trespass on another Clan's territory.
3. Wise-ones and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders.
4. Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to StarClan for its life.
5. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.
6. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after receiving their
warrior name.
7. A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.
8. The doyenne will fight for the title of chieftain will when the chieftain dies or retires.
9. After the death or retirement of a doyenne, the new doyenne must be chosen
before moonhigh.
10. A gathering of all three Clans is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There shall be no fighting among Clans at this time.
11. Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if that kit is from a different Clan.
13. The word of the chieftain is the warrior code.
14. An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win his battles, unless they are outside the warrior code or it is necessary for self-defense.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kittypet.

Traditions, holidays, and customs
Traditions
Fighting in the Arena to win treasures from Jewel Ruins is an ancient EmeraldClan tradition. One cat would challenge another to a duel and the Clan would watch. The guards are busy guarding the camp and the ruins itself. Apprentices 10 moons and older also compete in the Arena. The Clan's Chieftain will also arrange matches for cats that say the'd like to become Gladiators.
When an apprentice has passed his/her hunting assessment, he/she must fight a warrior, guard, or a scout other than his/her mentor in order to make it fair and prove a challenge. If the apprentice wins, he/she becomes a warrior, scout, or guard. If the apprentice loses, he/she must train for two more moons before trying again.
On the moon of Prey-feast 8, cats will hunt all day long and feast on many mice, squirrels, birds, and rabbits. The feast lasts until Sunup most times.
(More to add later)
Holidays
New Season 1: To celebrate the first day of New Season, cats will eat berries, grass, and other non-prey items instead to let the prey come back.
Colored leaf 22: To celebrate the beginning of Fall Season, kits will play in the leaves. Apprentices, warriors, scouts, and guards will decorate the camp with orange, red, and yellow gems and leaves. Later, a small feast is held.

Treasures, battle moves, and medicine.
Treasures:
Gold (uncommon)
silver(somewhat common)
bronze (common)
rocks (very common)
gems (common)
jewels (common)
Crowns (extremely rare, high ranks only!)
jewelry (uncommon)
bedding (very common)
Battle moves:
Back Kick: Explosive surprise move to catch opponent from behind. Judge opponent's distance from you carefully; then lash out with your back legs, taking your weight on your front paws.
Belly Rake: A fight-stopper. Slice with unsheathed claw across soft flesh of opponent's belly. if you're pinned down, the belly rake quickly puts you back in control.
Front Paw Blow: Frontal attack. Bring you front paw down hard on your opponent's head. Claws sheathed.
Front Paw Strike: Frontal attack. Slice downward with your front paw ar the body or face of your opponent. Claws unsheathed.
Killing Bite: A death blow to the back of the neck. Quick and silent and sometimes called dishonorable. Used only as a last resort.
Leap-and-Hold: Ideal for small cat facing a large opponent. Spring onto opponent's back and grip with unsheathed claws. Now you are beyond the range of your opponent's paws and in position to inflict severe body wounds. A group of apprentices can defeat a large and dangerous warrior in this way. Watch for the drop and roll counter move, and try to jump free before you get squashed.
Partner Fighting: Warriors who have trained and fought together will often instinctively fall into a paired defensive position, each protecting each other's back while fending of a opponent on either side. Slashing, clawing, and leaping together, battle pairs can be a whirlwind of danger for attackers.
Play Dead: Effective in a tight situation, such as when you are pinned, stop struggling and go limp. When your opponent relaxes his grip, thinking you are defeated, push yourself up explosively. This will throw of an unwary opponent and put you in an attacking position.
Scruff Shake: Secure a strong teeth grip in the scruff of your opponent's neck: then shake violently until he or she is too rattled to fight back. Most effective against rats, which are small enough to throw. A strong throw will stun or kill them.
Teeth Grip: Target your opponent's extremities-the legs, tail, scruff or ears-and sink in your teeth and hold. This move is similar to the leap-and-hold except your paws remain free to fight.
Upright Lock: Final, crushing move on already weakened opponent. Rear up on back legs and bring full weight down on opponent. If opponent does the same, wrestle and flip him under you. This move makes you vulnerable to the belly rake, so it requires strength and speed.
Drop and Roll : If an opponent is using the Leap-and-hold, drop and roll to the ground as quickly as possible, thus effectively squashing the other cat.

Coniferous forest- Large forest consisting of mainly spruce and pine trees.
Deciduous forest- small forest consisting of maple, birch, oak, beech, and holly trees.
Moonfalls- three waterfalls cascading into multiple pools. The cats enter through a hidden cave at the bottom through a screen of water. The cat drinks some of the water from a smaller waterfall pouring into the pool. the cat drinks from the pool and lies in a nest made of sacred pheasant feathers beside it, touching its nose with the cavewall, glittering with many white gemstones. The cat closes its eyes and shares dreams with StarClan. Fishing in the falls is forbidden, as is horse-play.

Allegiances
Chieftain: Sapphirestar- large, muscular, blue-gray tom with violet eyes. His coat is thick and shiny. He wears a golden crown studded with sapphires on top of his head. Sapphirestar is kind and caring towards his Clanmates and would gladly die his remaining seven lives for them. He is wary and distrustful of outsiders, and tends to be careful on who he lets join the Clan. He is stubborn, and once his mind is made up it is very hard to change it, but that doesn't mean that he won't take advice from senior warriors, Wise-ones, and his doyenne before making that final decision. The masculine is patient and understanding, often taking his time just to listen to what is troubling a cat and try to comfort them the best he can, and at the same time trying to help fix their problems. He is a take-action cat, and can't stand to sit around and do nothing when he could doing something with his Clanmates. He only asks of his Clan what he's willing to do himself, going on patrols, and insisting for other cats to lead them to see what they can do on their own. He likes to oversee the daily activities of his Clan, whether that be playing with the kits, watching over the apprentices' training, or listening to the Wise-ones' stories. Sapphirestar has a soft spot for queens, elderly cats, and kits, often checking in on them to make sure they're okay, or help out. He prefers peace with the other Clans, but that doesn't mean he isn't willing to leap into battle in the blink of an eye for his Clan. The tom is very friendly and talkative, often seen chatting away with pretty much any cat willing to talk to him. Sapphirestar is 45 moons old. Rubyfire is his sister. (RPed by Stormheart123)
Lives left: Seven
Life one: Killed by a wolf in battle.
Life two: Drowned rescuing kits in the river.
Life three:
Life four:
Life five:
Life six:
Life seven:
Life eight:
Life nine:
Doyenne:
Icywillow- A lithe, light brown she-cat with light blue eyes. She is a very graceful fighter, taking time to plan out each and every move, and never leaving herself undefended. She is a good hunter, but she prefers to hunt alone. Sometimes she will leave the camp for the entire night, and come back in a dazed state of mind, with little prey to show for her efforts. She is kind to her clanmates, but incredibly opposed to outsiders. She can get very spacey sometimes, as if she's not really there in the clan. (RPed by Dawnrise42)
Slashpelt- A pale grey she-cat with icy blue eyes and scars all over her pelt. She has no extra markings and her on pads, nose, around her eyes and inside her ears her skin is black. Although she has scars all over, a particularly long one runs along her right side, and one crosses over her left eye, but miraculously left the actual eye undamaged. Slashpelt is a smallish she-cat, but under her grey pelt her muscles are strong and ripple when she runs, making her a small but deadly opponent. She is very lithe and light and quick on her feet, preferring to either scare the heck out of her opponents with her rage or dodge their attacks and tire them out. She has plenty of stamina and agility, so she often uses leaping attacks. She wears a small, silver plated chain necklace with an aquamarine pendant, the same color as her eyes and a single earring in her right ear with an opal in the center. Slashpelt tends to be solitary and reserved but gets along well with Rubyfire, and Latesky. She has no patience for babbling apprentices, but she cares for kits, but doesn't really want to have kits of her own. She is shy and reserved, but when she's with her friends she's humorous, sarcastic (but in a funny way) and likable in general. She is all out terrified of water, the complete opposite of her brother, Saffronsplash. Slashpelt fights furiously in battle and goes into a rage at her enemies, striking fear into their hearts and leaving them cowering, despite her small size. She is fierce and never backs down from a challenge, stubborn and brave. She gets angered easily, and only a few cats really put up with her all the time. Saffronsplash is her brother. (RPed by Katzu)
Seers:
Jadestorm- A long-furred white she-cat of about 45 moons old with jade-green eyes, hence her name. Her build is frail and her body is skinny, but is well hidden by her thick fur. Jadestorm is a very quiet cat, getting nervous easily. She is slightly paranoid and gets scared by little noises frequently. She is also very intelligent with herbs and knows most of them well. Most cats think of her as someone who keeps secrets on a daily basis and doesn't want anyone knowing them, because of her jumpiness.
Seers to-be:
Ruin-guards:
Timberfall- a large, heavily muscled tom with dark brown fur with a lighter brown tabby pattern. His belly, throat, chest, paws and the tip of his tail and cream colored and his eyes are bright, fern green and sparkle when he laughs. Timberfall is friendly, welcoming, battle-ready and tends to be very flirtatious, but has never really found a she-cat he really likes. He is intelligent and good at planning, but didn't want to be a Doyenne as he was interested in the Ruin Guard duty from the day he was old enough to explore the territory. He prefers to hunt alone, and at night, and loves just sitting by himself and looking at the stars. He's very strong and is always willing to fight for his clan. Timberfall doesn't get close to very many cats, but he is extremely loyal and protective of those he does love, so when you befriend Timberfall you will have a companion for life. Goldenstream (Mother, deceased during birth) Sparkflight (Father, died in battle) Flitterfall (Sister, hit by a monster but survived, no-one knows where she is). (RPed by Katzu )
Scouts:
Latesky- is larger than Slashpelt, but only by a little bit, with thick, soft, black fur with a bluish sheen and white flecks and spots, making her look like a patch of midnight sky. Her eyes are similar, but a more purplish-black shade, and with silver flecks instead of white. Latesky wears a sort of bracelet on her right leg, studded with lapis lazulis, amethysts and onyx. Latesky is stealthy and sly, she's excellent at making plans and is very clever, and is often sent to spy on enemy camps, because of her assassin-like appearance and personality. She enjoys being in the company of her few friends, and is inclined to snap. She has a very sharp tongue and is quick-witted and smart, but has a soft, gentle side to her that is very rarely seen. Her sister Nightstone was killed in battle and her other sister, Onyxfire, left the clan and became a rogue called Onyxx. (RPed by Katzu)
Smokefrost- a gray tom, with darker, faded spots along his forehead and back. His underbelly is a lighter gray, almost white, and his muzzle and chin are the same color. He has a long, fluffy tail, and golden brown eyes. He is a mostly quiet cat. He keeps to himself, sometimes sharing his opinion on Clan matters. He doesn't like to argue, and would rather stick with his family than friends. Smokefrost is not the best hunter and is pretty clumsy with his paws, which is why he is a better scout. He has great eyesight and a keen sense of smell. His brother is Emberstep, his sister is Driftwhisker, and his mother was a rogue named Daffodil. Crush on Rubyfire. He likes Rubyfire because she is the half he could never be. (RPed by Spooky Flintkit)
Warriors:
Rubyfire- bright dark ginger she-cat with light amber eyes. Her fur is medium in length and she is the size of an average cat. She is lithe, yet muscular. A silver necklace adorned with rubies hangs around her neck. Rubyshine is determined and brave. She never gives up, and fights every challenge like it's a battle for her life. She is fierce and hot-headed, often snapping at cats when they are rude and annoy her in an instant. She is impatient when it comes to standing by and doing nothing. She needs to be kept busy, she can't relax. Some part of her is always twitching, even when she sleeps. The feminine fights like a lion in battle, often letting out all of her newfound rage on her enemies, leaving them scarred and cowering in fear. She trains herself until the point of extreme exhaustion, and her muscles are completely fatigued and sore. Rubyshine expects the very best performance of herself and others, often pushing and encouraging other cats to push themselves as hard as possible and always practice when they can. She is hard-working and very strong because of it. The molly hates being told what to do and how to do it, even if she can be a little bossy herself. Rubyshine also hates it when told to shut up or be quiet, it makes her want to tear the cat who told her to shut up's pelt off. She prefers to complete tasks in her own creative ways than do them how she's shown to do them. She is 42 moons old, and sister to Sapphirestar. (RPed by Stormheart123) Apprentice, Volepaw
Saffronsplash- a silky, long-haired calico tom with one deep forest green eye and one sparkling amber eye. Underneath his fur, inside his ears, on his pads and around his eyes his skin is pink, which makes it seem like he and Slashpelt are from completely different parents. He only wear a small earring in his left ear at the very top, studded with small, rainbow gems. Saffronsplash is definitely more socially accepted than his sister and enjoys being around his friends and loved ones, and can keep a conversation going for quite a while when he feels like it. He has a good sense of humor and a bright and bubbly personality which makes him likable and fun to be around, even for the most unsocial cats. A trait which most cats like about him is that he knows when to stop talking; most cats with a personality like his would just go on and on and on forever, but he seems to sense other cats feelings and vibes and knows exactly what to do to cure it. One problem he has is that he tends to spend more time in the water than pretty much everyone he knows, so he often ends up spending a lot of time alone because of his love of swimming. He is a lot more timid than his sister and prefers to back down from a fight rather than get hurt or hurt someone else, but he is fiercely protective of his loved ones. Slashpelt is his sister. (RPed by Katzu )
Emberstep- a pale colored tom, with dark russet tabby patterns. He has a naturally bobbed tail, with silverish eyes and a small pink nose. He is the lighter-hearted of his two siblings and is quick to tease an apprentice if he trips on a pebble or steps on a stick during a hunt. He always wears a smile and is really playful. Honestly, Emberstep is never serious. Because of this, often times he is considered dishonorable. Like the cat version of 'boy who cried wolf.' He is never sent to deliver messages or anything of importance for fear of messing it up with one of his 'annoying pranks.' His brother is Smokefrost, his sister is Driftwhisker, and his mother was a rogue named Daffodil. Crush on Icywillow. If he found out that another cat liked Icywillow, he'd honestly get serious, and defend her with his honor, which sometimes is nothing. Icywillow is the only thing he is serious about. (RPed by Spooky Flintkit)
Driftwhisker- a light lilac she-cat, with lynx-like ears, and a small bobbed tail. She has a white underbelly and chest, with white toes. Her eyes are a grayish silver, and her muzzle and chin are white. Driftwhisker is always desperate to prove herself and has inner walls built up so she doesn't get hurt. She tries to always seem calm and collective, but sometimes she freaks out, and doesn't know what to do. However, every time she faults, like missing a vole when hunting, she pushes herself to make up for it and would catch three rabbits to replace that vole. Her brothers are Emberstep and Smokefrost. Her parents are deceased, and her mother was a rogue named Daffodil, whom she looks exactly like. She lined her nest with daffodils to remind herself of her mother. (RPed by Spooky Flintkit)
Apprentices:
Volepaw- A light brown tom, with a light undercoat and yellow eyes. He is a very handsome cat, and admired by most of the clan. He is a good fighter, and he hates outsiders of any kind. He can tend to be arrogant or overly ambitious sometimes, but he always stays loyal to his clan. (RPed by Dawnrise42) Mentor is Rubyfire.
Mistpaw- a light grey tabby tom with soft, thick fur. His dark blue eyes have a noticeable cloud in them, hence his name. He has dark grey leopard spots and a white striped tail. He is small in comparison to his brother. He is closest to his brother, Volepaw, but besides him Mistpaw like to keep to himself. During social gatherings, Mistpaw prefers to keep quiet, but when he does speak he tends to be very awkward. His farsightedness makes him a poor hunter and fighter, but he is very smart outside of his warrior training. Mistpaw has a great memory and is very observant of the things he can see. He is occasionally jealous of his brother's abilities, but he tries not to show it. He often wakes up in a cold sweat after one of his strange dreams. Volepaw is his brother. He has poor eye sight. Mentor is Saffronsplash (RPed by Dawnrise42)
Halfpaw- pelt is unusually colored, one half of her is a creamy, orange/gold color and the other half is pitch black. Her pelt colors divide neatly in the middle on her whole body, making her look like two different, even, halves of two different cats. The eye on her black half (her right half) is a pale, grass green and the eye on her cream half (her left half) is a pure, sky blue. Halfpaw's personality is very similar to her pelt, she seems to have two different sides to her. One is grumpy, snappy and sarcastic, with a bit of stubborn pessimist thrown in, and the other is optimistic, kind, sweet, friendly and without a care in the world. She doesn't have an exact fear, but she's afraid of dying and leaving her friends behind. (RPed by Katzu
Topazpaw- A fierce and formidable shecat, with bright and alert gray eyes. Her fur is a scruffy clean white. Her ears are pierced with bronze, and one blue gem. Topazpaw takes her role in the clan very seriously, and adores training as an apprentice. She is very loyal and would take a secret to the grave! She often finds herself at loss for words, and it's hard for her to understand jokes, so she doesn't bear well around impatient people although she tries her best. A bit of a coward, she tries to face her fears every day (but fails most of the time.) She comes accross as over eager and easy to please, which she is! She's also a lesbian. A nasty scar lines her left thigh, ripped flesh from when she got in a fight with a rogue. Her ears are large, granting her slightly better hearing, but her sense of smell is a bit off.br])
Queens:
Kits:
Wise-ones:
StarClan:
Shadowed Thicket cats:
Rouges:
Onyxx (Previously Onyxfire)- a pitch black, thick-furred she-cat with unusually long legs and a tail, which makes her a silent hunter and a good stalker and assassin. Her eyes are a deep, beautiful shade of malachite that seem to stare straight into your soul and know all your secrets before you even know them yourself. Onyxx is shy and quiet and doesn’t speak much, but she speaks with her body language and facial expressions instead. She tends to avoid social gatherings and often just sits at the edge of the group, avoiding most conversations, but despite her quiet appearance she is a loving, genuinely sweet cat with a good heart, although her silence and staring eyes are sometimes extremely frustrating and make you feel uncomfortable and can make being around her a trial for most cats. Latesky is her sister. (RPed by Katzu )

Can I be Doyenne? Icywillow- A lithe, light brown she-cat with light blue eyes. She is a very graceful fighter, taking time to plan out each and every move, and never leaving herself undefended. She is a good hunter, but she prefers to hunt alone. Sometimes she will leave the camp for the entire night, and come back in a dazed state of mind, with little prey to show for her efforts. She is kind to her clanmates, but incredibly opposed to outsiders. She can get very spacey sometimes, as if she's not really there in the clan.

(Dawnrise, I prefer that Volepaw's mentor is RPed by a cat not RPed by yourself, because it's more fun that way, and opens up more roleplay opportunities with other people. If you'd like, Rubyshine could be his mentor or Wolfblaze who is a male cat I am about to make )

(Also, your character's are welcome to wear any jewelry that is not rare, so no crowns or tiaras. And if you want to have your cat wear more than one thing, we can arrange an area match for them )

I will post some starters.)
Sapphirestar stretched his limbs. The blue-gray Tom had nothing to do. He grabbed a squirrel from the fresh-kill pile and began to eat underneath the shady branches of High-tree. The masculine tore chunks of meat of the rodent and swallowed, his gaze sweeping the camp, watching his clanmates do their daily activities. As he finished his breakfast, he began to groom his thick-fur, loosening the debris from his pelt.
Rubyfire tapped her foot impatiently. She was bored out of her mind. She needed to do something, anything! The fresh-kill pile was good-sized so hunting was pointless. Maybe she could teach Volepaw some battle moves, but she didn't know where he was. Battle training was extremely important, for how else was he to fight off intruders trying to take Jewel ruins?

Volepaw smiled as he saw a squirrel nibbling on a nut a couple of fox lengths away. He got into the hunting position and slowly crept forwards. Ever so silently he bunched his hind quarters and jumped. He landed right on top of it and killed it with a bite to the neck. "Nice" he thought as he walked back to camp, "This will make Rubyfire proud."
