 You have been running for what seemed like hours.
Your chest heaved and ached with the effort that had been needed to make it this far. Your fur is ruffled and on edge from fear, and your legs are ready to buckle. You don’t know which feeling to follow; your fear, or your exhaustion.
Far back into the forest, you were attacked by something; you don’t know what it was, you had never seen it before. But it scared you more than anything had ever scared you. And it had left a large scratch in your flank. You’d left it far behind you, but your fear had kept you going all this way.
Finally after deciding you’re safe, your body can’t hold itself upright anymore. You collapse onto the ground with a heavy sigh, hoping to get some sleep. Unfortunately, you get very little of it. Shortly after you doze off the rain starts, and in minutes you’re freezing and completely soaked to the bone. You sit up, frustrated, and start to move on to find shelter.
“Are you okay?”
The voice nearly scares you out of your fur; you jump, shouting in surprise. You turn to face the newcomer, ready for a fight. But the she-cat standing in front of you doesn’t seem to be looking for a quarrel.
She’s a small white she-cat, with a soft expression and a smile that makes you feel more relaxed. Her fur is fluffy and she almost looks like a cloud, but the strangest thing about her is her two different colored eyes. One eye is a piercing gold, the other is a soft light blue. Her overall appearance and presence makes you feel safer, and you relax slightly.
She notices you’re staring at her and she pricks her ears. “I’ve been watching you for a while; you’re not in very good shape. That’s a bad bear scratch on your side.”
“Bear?” You repeat after finding your voice from being scared so badly. She nods in response.
“You need to be careful of them around here; they consider this place their territory when it’s really ours. If you get to close to them, they’ll lash out at you, guaranteed.”
“Whose territory is this?” You ask, confused.
“That wound could get even worse if it’s not treated,” the she-cat went on to say, ignoring your question. “If you come with me, my medicine cats can patch that up for you. I don’t want to send you on your way knowing you’re hurt.” She smiled softly and waved her tail for you to follow.
“I’m sorry, what?” You refuse to move. “I don’t even know who you are. Whose territory is this? Where am I?”
She smiles and turns to look at you. “My name is Goldenstar. And the territory you’re standing in is RainClan territory. Unfortunately, you are trespassing. However, I’m willing to take you to my Clan for food and rest, and help for your injuries. And then, after you’re patched up, and have a full belly, maybe we can discuss you staying with us?”
You blink in surprise. She was offering you to stay with the Clan? You had heard about the Clans, but you had always believed they were vicious, selfish cats who hated outsiders. This was a completely different story.
You feel like you can trust this she-cat, despite only knowing her for such a short time. Her offer is welcoming, and your stomach growls at just the thought of food. You had never stayed in one place for long before; but maybe this time, you can make an exception. You smile at her and nod.
“I’ll come with you.”

About the clan
Rainclan cats are typically lithe in size but often have thick-sleek fur. They are great when swimming to catch their prey and went catching prey on land which provides plenty of opportunity for food.
While cats always differ, Rainclan as a whole is generally an accepting and kind clan. However, due to their trusting outlook, they are quite strict to those who break rules. TerritoryTwo-Sister's Rivers:
The two rivers wrap around the territory, forming it's borders. It can be dangerous at times and floods easily during the near-constant rainstorms.
The Great Oak:
The Great Oak is the tallest tree in the forest- partly because it sits on top of a hill. Hidden at the base of it's roots is a fox hole with a curving tunnel that leads down into camp. The camp is well protected by the dangers of floods.
The Bear Caves:
Our primary hunting grounds runs well with prey. Even in leaf-bare it is quite active with rodents. However, we do have to watch for the bears that like to spend time there.
The Sun Rocks:
This lovely expanse of stone gets wonderfully warm in the sunshine. It is a favorite basking place of many cats.
The Training Grounds:
A nice clearing near the river. The ground underfoot is soft and springy which makes it great for training. Apprentices can even learn to fish in the river.
Firefly Meadow:
This is a large meadow filled with moss and soft grass. It is lovely in the day time but at night it's even more beautiful as thousands of fireflies light up the night sky like stardust.Prey/PredatorsPrey:
RainClan hunts mostly small rodents such as mice and shrews. Occasionally rabbit can be found among the brush in the dense forest. Fish is caught often in the rivers that surround the territory.
Predators:
Cats must always be aware of the threat of deer, moose, bears, and foxes. Occasionally dogs and twolegs from the city can also be a threat.

 Leader:
Goldenstar- lovely white she-cat with two different colored eyes; her left is brilliant golden-amber and the right is soft blue. She has a gentle face- slender in size, big eyes, and an overall kind appearance. She has fluffy fur and a long tail; in general she looks soft and cloud-like. Goldenstar is as gentle as she looks. Though small in size, she makes up for it in passion and personality. Though she can be a bit wild and excitable at times, she's usually quiet and calm- there's a calming presence about her that seems to radiate all around her. Her mother used to say that her eye was gold because before she was born she'd looked into Starclan- it's not true of course but it somehow always stuck with her and fueled her undeniable faith. Ripplestorm- Handsome long haired light gray tom with some black near his face and parts of his pelt. He has light blue eyes and a muscular build under that fur. Ripplestorm is noble and fair cat. He likes to keep himself busy doing what he can to help the clan. Ripplestorm has a way of saying just the right thing. Though don't let his easy going nature fool you. Ripplestorm can be quite cold and blunt about things. Ripplestorm can talk in a way that can make you feel really guilty or sorry about something. Usually this only comes out on bad days or unless you really tick him off. As a apprentice, he really looked up to his mentor. So much so that he copied some of his personality. (Hawkeyes258 )

Medicine cats:
Fernecho- tortoiseshell she-cat with fern green colored eyes. Very kind she-cat, cares a lot about her clan and would do anything for the clan. (Tigerlily)

Warriors:
Firestrike- Opposite her littermate, Firestrike looks most like her father. She is a small ginger shecat with paler ginger hairs mixed into her coat which gives her a fiery appearance. Her fur is thick and fluffy, often catching burrs when she walks in the forest. She has eyes that resemble sunshine on a waterfall: pale green and that reflect sparks of pale silver and blue in the light. Firestrike has a long tail- it drags the ground even when she attempts to hold it high. Her ears are smaller than most cats’ and very slightly rounded at the top. Where Firestrike has her father’s appearance, she inherited her mother’s, fiery personality that sometimes gets her into trouble. Yet, despite being so feisty and rather hard to handle, Firestrike is so much more. She is a dreamer- often found staring off into a world only she can see. She tends to be a bit bipolar sometimes- In minutes and without warning, she can go from her normal bubbly self to not talking to anyone and seemingly upset for no reason. But this doesn’t stop her from loving her family unconditionally and with every fiber of her being. (*MorningGlory*)

Windlash- Windlash is a large, thick-furred, gray tom. His eyes are very rich, dark amber. Windlash has the same ear shape that the rest of the family seems to have- small and slightly rounded off but unlike his sister, he has tufts of feathery fur sticking up off the top of his ears. Windlash is of a calmer, laid back personality but, he to has moments when he is nearly as feisty as Firestrike. Windlash is a little shy sometimes but given the chance, he could be a great, caring friend. His top skills rest in battle, whereas, he finds hunting a little more difficult due to his large frame. Sunstripes - Sunstripe has medium length golden brown fur with dark tabby stripes. He has dark green eyes. Sunstripe has a muscular build and has a few scars on his body. Sunstripes is a smooth talker and uses this to talk his way out of situations. He is arrogant and likes to brag about what he can do. He loves to flirt with the she-cats and gets a bit of a kick out of it. He is the type to think others are inferior to him and underestimates what others can do. Despite these flaws, Sunstripes is a hard worker and loyal to his clan. Sunstripes is afraid that he will be alone and won't find anyone. He won't admit it but he hopes to find a she-cat that will capture his heart. (Hawkeyes258 )

Graystorm- Graystorm is a large gray tabby tom with green eyes. He has a white muzzle and paws, and a long tail. He has a small scar behind his left ear. Graystorm is good-natured and easygoing. Although not a new warrior, he is still pretty young and is often prone to playfulness. He is loyal, and can be protective when caring for a cat. Despite this, he can be a little naive, especially when it comes to situations that are beyond what he is used to (~Skyblaze~)

Ravenwhisper- Mostly black she-cat with a white underbelly, paws and tail tip. She has bright green eyes and a little niche in her left ear. Ravenwhisper has a skinny yet somewhat slender build . Ravenwhisper is sneaky, opportunistic and selfish at times. She likes to do things her way and doesn't care much for the Warrior Code in general. Ravenwhisper knows how to make herself look good and will not hesitate to stab you in the back. She is a prideful she-cat and hates to ask for help. She likes to break away from tradition in order to mix things up.

Cherrypetal- Tortoiseshell she-cat with green eyes. Cherrypetal is one of those cats who is naturally and simply.. pretty. Not exceptionally pretty just, pretty. Her fur is thick-ish and kitten-soft even though she's grown. Her green eyes are the kind of green one would see in the forest at sunrise. She still wears her collar from her days as a housecat. Even though the bell can give her away, she's still a great hunter and can sneak up on anyone and anything. Never before has one seen such a variety of personalities in one cat. Cherrypetal is caring beyond measure yet she is also firm. She is independent but is always willing to help where she can. She is also as feisty as an ocean wave during a storm and her temper can sometimes get the best of her. Formally known as Julia.(*MorningGlory*)

Poppyleaf- A cream-colored she-cat with white and black markings covering her pelt. She has big amber eyes that make her look like an owl. She has a scar on her lip from getting stuck in a thorn bush as a kit. She's hyper and giddy, and wants to see the entire world and explore everything she can. She can be very sassy, especially when someone tells her she's wrong. She has a fear of outsiders. When she was a kit, she snuck out of camp to explore. A rogue found her and tried to take her until a patrol discovered them and chased the rogue away, saving Poppyleaf. She left the incident unscathed, but since then she is very untrusting of any outsiders. She has no family. (Stormcrescent)

Vinewhisker- Dark gray she-cat with large black stripes that swirl all over her body. She has bright green eyes and a slender looking build. She has a small little niche in her right ear. Vinewhisker is reserved and thoughtful. She doesn't talk much and likes to watch and observe things. Vinewhisker is pretty trusting of others and will give others a second chance. She keeps her feelings bottled up and feels too scared to tell anyone about them. Vineswhisker tends to speak up some if you are close friends with her. She has a fear of badgers. (Hawkeyes258 )

Darkpelt - Huge, nice looking sturdy built sable brown tabby Tom with black stripes and short thick fur and a white chin. He has forest green eyes, a long scar going up his right front leg and has huge paws.
Darkpelt looks tougher than he is. He has a big soft spot, especially for kits, although he can be very straight to the point, blunt, and very sarcastic. He can be too protective when it comes to his kits, but always means well. Although he seems to always have a calmness around him, he loves playing games with the kits and apprentices. He won't sit back and let others help when there is trouble and always speaks up to what he feels is right even if the majority doesn't agree. He has a hard time thinking of looking for love, scared he will be left again. (Bark)

Coralmoon- A rather pretty she-cat. She's lithe and petite with long fur and a thick, fluffy tail. Her fur is a pale cream color with pinkish tipped fur which gives a marble colored appearance. Her tail and ears are the same pink color. The most intriguing thing about her is her eye color. Her eyes are pale blue-gray with a purple tint. Coralmoon is usually pretty quiet though she talks to anyone who talks to her. She tends to be a bit naive and stubborn but she thinks before she does anything; however, that doesn't always come with the best results. She's a naturally loving character and is protective over every one weaker than herself. Despite being loving there's oftentimes she'd prefer being alone. She doesn't know her past as she suffered an injury that caused amnesia before she was taken in by the clan. Often times, she likes to imagine what her world was like before. {Morningglory}

Beechpaw- Beechpaw is a light brown tom with a white muzzle and a long tail. He has green eyes and large paws. His back right paw is missing a claw from an accident as a kit. Beechpaw is a mischievous and playful tom. More surefooted and confident than his sister, he often devises plans that usually end up getting in trouble. He enjoys lightly teasing others, but is very self-deprecating of himself, almost to the point of feigning innocence. Despite his penchant for mischief, He is genuinely friendly and enjoys getting to know other cats. He can be a little braggy, especially due to his natural talent for battle training, but this is mainly to make up for his embarrassment at his hunting skills. He often finds himself tripping over his own paws when going for a catch.(~Skyblaze~)

Honeypaw- Honeypaw is a bracken-colored she-cat with blue eyes. She is smaller than her brother, and has a couple black stripes along her pelt. Honeypaw is a bubbly and friendly she-cat. Like her brother, she is extroverted and playful, and enjoys making new friends. However, she is less confident and more self-conscious than Beechpaw, and is more prone to getting flustered and thinking about other cats' opinions of her.(~Skyblaze~)

Barkpaw- Small, sturdy built she cat with short but thick sable brown fur and faded white stripes on her back and tail. She has big forest green eyes, large paws for her size, and a large tear in her left ear from an accident.
Barkpaw is motherly and kind to her clanmates, and will always help when she is needed. But she is blunt and very sarcastic, and sometimes a little too stubborn. She will not baby or sympathize with anyone who she doesn't feel needs it and quite often uses "tough love" instead. Barkpaw also loves exploring and being silly with friends. She is very clumsy and she can be nervous around queens due to the fact that her and her litter mate were abandoned by their mother.She is very close to her dad Darkpelt and brother Slushpaw and when it comes to skills she is a strong fighter, although not perfect, and excellent at hunting in the water (Bark)

Pinepaw- pale brown tom with darker brown stripes in a tabby pattern. He has abnormally large ears that seem too big for his small body, and a pair of bright blue eyes. Pinepaw is very friendly and kind. He is generally quiet and subdued but, can be surprisingly stubborn when he wants to be. He will never abandon his opinions, even if they make him unpopular.
