[ Bramblepaw | Apprentice ] Bramblepaw twitched her ears as she heard Featherstar speak, but didn't immediately bound over. She was excited to leave, but she didn't want to overwhelm him. Slowly Bramblepaw stood and stretched out her legs, glancing around camp to see where the other apprentices were.
[ Fernshade | Warrior ] Fernshade dipped her head in agreement and searched the camp for Acornpaw. She hoped that she could lead a patrol later on in the evening, she wanted to help out more with patrols since there was currently no deputy organizing them for Featherstar. She was so used to the routine of patrols, she doubted anything would surprise her now. Fernshade padded towards Acornpaw as she spotted him and said, "Ready for a morning hunt?" With a quick look she spotted the others that would be joining them for the hunting patrol. It would be best if they could head out at the same time and split off from there, so that they could arrange where they'd each be hunting.
[ Foxstrike | Warrior ] Foxstrike hardly acknowledged Featherstar's assignment, the only indication he gave was a flick of an ear and a shuffle closer to the entrance to keep an eye on it. He was still in the process of waking up. He yawned and shook off his pelt, staring blearily around the camp as the warriors all moved to find their apprentices. He was glad he didn't have an apprentice yet, it seemed like a lot of work. After a few moments of sitting in the sunlight he'd finally started to wake up. SLowly he glanced around to find someone to talk to while he guarded the camp.

Meadowpaw perked her ears and quickly scampered outside of the den. "Hello mentor!" She meowed happily, prancing around the warrior's paws. "What's the plan for today?"
Acornpaw dipped his head respectfully. "Of course. I can't wait to catch something for Featherstar!" He purred enthusiastically, looking towards the Clan leader. He knew the tom was going through a lot of stress and would love a piece of his favorite prey. "Do you know what his favorite prey is, Fernshade?"

[ Fernshade | Warrior ] Fernshade chuckled softly at Acornpaw's enthusiasm. "That's very sweet Acornpaw," she said warmly. "But Featherstar can hunt for his own food, I'm sure Rainpelt would appreciate something though. He might even give you a story in thanks." She looked towards the camp entrance to check and see if any of the other warriors and apprentices for their patrol had gathered yet. She didn't see any quite yet, but she did see a few warriors with their apprentices. "You can ask him if you'd like, I'll wait by the camp entrance."

"Okay!" Acornpaw purred, enthusiastically leaping up and rushing towards Rainpelt. "Rainpelt?" He meowed into the elder's den, hoping he was in there.

He was glad he didn't have an apprentice yet, it seemed like a lot of work. After a few moments of sitting in the sunlight he'd finally started to wake up. SLowly he glanced around to find someone to talk to while he guarded the camp. Featherstar gazed towards Bramblepaw . He wondered if he was doing a good job teaching his apprentice everything. His first apprentice, Tigerflame, seemed to have turned out okay. He rolled his eyes, Not that I had much to work with. He felt slightly guilty for thinking low of Tigerflame and shook his head. But he's still a good warrior. We all are. He padded across the clearing towards Bramblepaw, calling out to her, "Good morning Bramblepaw. Are you ready for today's patrol?" Meadowpaw perked her ears and quickly scampered outside of the den. "Hello mentor!" She meowed happily, prancing around the warrior's paws. "What's the plan for today?" He knew the tom was going through a lot of stress and would love a piece of his favorite prey. "Do you know what his favorite prey is, Fernshade?" Speckledsky made a meow of amusement, watching Meadowpaw for a few seconds before replying. "Today we are going hunting in Butterfly Meadow with a few other apprentices." she pondered, waiting and guessing Meadowpaw's reaction. "Okay!" Acornpaw purred, enthusiastically leaping up and rushing towards Rainpelt. "Rainpelt?" He meowed into the elder's den, hoping he was in there. The elder was lying peacefully in the soft leaves of his den when Acornpaw's voice intruded his thoughts. He blinked his eyes open, and stared a few seconds at the apprentice. I wonder what this young one wants. he thought, excited at the different possibilities. He licked a few rough spots in his dull gray pelt and got up, his back aching a little. "What is it, Acornpaw?" he asked, reminiscing to when he was an apprentice. He chuckled softly to himself, thinking, Many moons have passed since then.

"Oooo!" Meadowpaw pranced around, giving a little hop every now and then. "I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait!" She cheered, excited to be with her fellow apprentices. "Are all the apprentices going?" She asked, pausing for a moment to catch her breath.
Acornpaw smiled at the elder, taking a moment to settle beside him. Dipping his head in respect, he asked, "What's your favorite prey, Rainpelt?" If it's a small creature I'll have to catch him two... I want him to be content and full!
