Featherstar lounged across the branch of his "den", although it was quite a bit more open than a traditional den. At least the leaves kept most of the rain and weather off of him; not that the Clan had to worry about rain lately. Besides, having an open den had its perks. He could keep an eye on the activity of all his clanmates when they were in camp, and he didn't feel cramped or crowded in. I suppose I should get some patrols and such started soon. He thought as he gazed at the gleaming sun peaking out of the horizon.
Orchidpaw stretched her whole body as she exited the apprentices den. The sun was just rising over the camp and she wondered about what tree she could climb today. Her favorite ones were in close proximity to Butterfly Meadow, where she could sit and watch the colorful butterfly creatures fly all around from a distance. She continued to daydream, blocking the entrance to the apprentices den.
Rainpelt carefully climbed out of the bush that was his den. He noticed Featherstar laying on the leaders tree, and gazing down at the clearing. "I thought I raised that cat better." he grumbled quietly to himself. He had expected to see Featherstar already down from the tree and organizing cats and patrols. At least that was how it had worked with his leader, the leader before Featherstar. But, in his opinion, the leader was soft on his clanmates. "I suppose he can afford to be." he thought out loud to himself. Nowadays, living was a bit easier.
Tigerflame was curled up in a snug ball, still half-asleep. He peaked one eye open. Just a few more minutes... he thought to himself, as he yawned and re-positioned a little.
{{ So to anybody who wants to RP; you don't necessarily have to initiate action with one of my characters though. }}

Stormpaw sneezed and jolted awake. He yawned. Any minute now, I will be called on an important patrol. The gray apprentice lay in his nest, eyes closed, and waited. He popped a blue eye open. No warriors prodding him or asking him to get up for the dawn patrol. He sighed and stood up, stretching. Maybe I'll just settle for watching the sun rise, Stormpaw thought, and turned towards the entrance of the apprentice's den. He snorted in amusement. "Orchidpaw, got your head in the trees again?" Stormpaw meowed lightly, poking his head out of the gap in the entrance Orchidpaw wasn't blocking.

She stepped to the side, allowing the entrance of the apprentice's den to be open again. She couldn't believe that she had gotten lost in her own head - again. It seemed it always happened that way. "What adventure do you think you'll have today?" she stared at him, awaiting a reply as she sat down and licked a tuft hair that was sticking up.

{{Ha, yes, I am sure she is very excited ^.^ }}
Featherstar stretched out across the thick branch, trying to shake the sleepiness from his body. He carefully gripped his claws into the bark of tree, and landed on the sandy ground. It's time to get going. he thought, looking to see who was awake. He yelled out across camp, "All right up and at em'!" Luckily the sun was still low in the sky, making him feel confident that they had the whole day ahead of them to gather prey for the day and complete other daily activities, while, as always, evading any predators that could be lurking nearby.

Goldenfrost lifted her head from her front legs and rolled on to her back, parting her jaws into an enormous yawn, her legs stretching out in different directions. She got to her paws and shook the sand and leaves from her pelt. She then slink out of the low hanging den and blinked a few times to adjust to the light. "Good morning, Featherstar." She called over respectively.
Sunblaze snorted as he trotted back into camp from his early morning herb hunting. He'd been up long before dawn in search of special leaves he needed. He's never reveal what they were either. His jaws were full of twigs and leaves of various textures. He padded straight to his den and deposited them into his store. After doing so, he sat back and began organizing the store.

Sandyclaw woke up abruptly, having had a weird dream. Though he couldn't remember it he felt as if it wasn't important. Besides, he had more pressing things to worry about such as training his apprentice and feeding his Clan. With a large stretch, Sandyclaw let out a tired yawn and padded out of the den. He spotted warriors and his leader so he waved his tail in greeting. Sandyclaw decided his apprentice should wake herself up today. Glancing over to the apprentices den, he grunted in approval. There was motion inside and the warrior just hoped it was Orchidpaw waking up.
Meadowpaw opened her eyes. Laying next to her was her brother Acornpaw. Prodding him harshly, she yelped at him. "Get up lazy mouse!" With a start, Acornpaw's eyes shot open and he jumped up. "What is it, Meadowpaw? Is something wrong?" With a mrrow of laughter Meadowpaw shook her head. "No, but I love seeing your reactions when I wake you up!" Anger flitted over Acornpaw's face before he composed himself. "I'm gonna go get an early start." He grumbled, pushing past the other two apprentices and dipping his head in greeting. Meadowpaw rolled her eyes and sat up in her nest. "How are you two?" SHe asked Orchidpaw and Stormpaw, blinking sleep out of her eyes.
Acornpaw's tail flicked angrily as he made his way to the center of camp. Meadowpaw woke him up like that every morning! It irritated him to no end. Stupid Meadowpaw. I wish she was like she was before... The apprentice let out a sad sigh. Sitting down, he began cleaning himself in quick strokes to forget about the past. I love my sister. I just wish she didn't change. Stupid father! Anger coursed through him. Reminding himself where he was, Acornpaw stopped growling and began cleaning his face.
Eaglefeather trotted out of the warriors den having been woken up by Sandyclaw's abrupt movements. Happiness filled her as she realized what a wonderful day it was. "Hello clanmates!" She called out, prancing towards the medicine den. "Hello Sunblaze!" She called into it and began towards the freshkill pile. "Anyone want to share?" Eaglefeather chirped, looking around camp and smiling. Today will be a great day!

[ Fernshade | Warrior | 48 moons ]
Fernshade had awoken early that morning and had been enjoying a patch of sunlight until she heard Featherstar's call for the clan to wake up. She stood up and stretched out her limbs before heading towards him, eager to start the day off with a patrol. Fernshade always loved being on the dawn patrols, it was reassuring to see the little changes in the territory immediately. It helped that Fernshade was also an early riser, but she suspected that came with age. She was a senior warrior now, and she quite liked it. Fernshade liked that apprentices and even young warriors granted her respect, something that was hard to come by as a new warrior. She knew Foxstrike wouldn't mind that, she could tell he preferred being an apprentice to a warrior. She much preferred warrior and watching over others.
"What patrols will be heading out this morning?" Fernshade asked curiously, dipping her head in greeting as she approached Featherstar and Goldenfrost.
[ Foxstrike| Warrior | 15 moons ]
Foxstrike had been resting pleasantly when he heard Featherstar yell across the camp. He groaned into his nest of moss and simply buried his head under it. He sat up with a jolt as he heard pawsteps outside of the den. He pracically tripped over himself to get outside before his mentor could- he stopped halfway through the den entrance and simply stared. He'd nearly forgotten he was a warrior now, and had been for over a moon. It still felt strange to him, but he was growing to like it. He turned back around and flopped into his nest. As a warrior without training to worry about, he decided sleeping in was well worth it. He had stayed out on the dusk patrol after all.
After a few minutes Foxstrike felt guilt consume him and he begrudgingly trudged out into camp once more, sitting with a huff outside of the warrior's den.
[ Bramblepaw | Apprentice | 9 moons ]
Bramblepaw had been fixing up her moss nest when she heard Featherstar call. She eagerly hopped out of the apprentice den and cast her attention to her mentor, listening hopefully for her name. She hoped that they would have a training session that morning or perhaps go hunting, really anything but sitting in camp would suit her just fine. She wouldn't mind cleaning out the elder's den either and listening to a story, but that was something better suited in the evening when she was already tired. Usually elders got fed up with her questions, so when she was tired it was easier for her to keep quiet.

"Good morning, Goldenfrost; Fernshade." Featherstar nodded his head politely. "Because of the cooler weather today, I think that some of the apprentices and mentors should go hunting in Butterfly Meadow. The rest will need to go on a border patrol." he began to explain his plan of action. "Goldenfrost, Stormpaw, Bramblepaw, and myself will go on the border patrol. The rest of the apprentice-mentor pair will go hunting." he paused for a moment, hoping he made the right choices. "Foxstrike, Eaglefeather, and Tigerflame can stay guard in camp."
Speckledsky yawned, acknowledging most of what Featherstar was saying. If only I could wake up first... she thought, licking some pieces of moss off of her pelt. She gazed over at the apprentices den towards her apprentice.
"I'm wonderful, how are you, Meadowpaw?" Orchidpaw replied gleefully, ignoring her mentor's stare and Featherstar's authoritative voice. She couldn't wait to discover a good tree to climb. That was the best way, in her opinion, to catch birds.

Stormpaw's ears twitched at Featherstar's words and his fur spiked with excitement. "I don't know, but hopefully I'm not on apprentice duties today! It would be great to learn new battle moves." He blinked, and lowered his voice, seeing his mentor. "I hope Goldenfrost didn't hear that, or she might get the idea for me to change the bedding." He repositioned himself outside of the apprentice's den. "You know, you should show me your favorite lookout spots sometime. It must be so cool to see lots from a tree."
He paused to hear Meadowpaw and Featherstar. Border patrol! "I'm great, Meadowpaw!" He said, bouncing joyfully. Hopefully they would find something exciting.

Sandyclaw dipped his head and meowed loudly for his apprentice. She seemed distant and sometimes the tom wondered if Orchidpaw would be better as a medicine cat. Shaking himself, he began to trot towards the apprentices.
Eaglefeather nodded and smiled at Featherstar. Good. I can get some extra rest in before I go on a hunt.
Meadowpaw smiled and nodded to her two fellow apprentices. "I'm glad you guys are good!" She purred, bouncing around the den. "I hope I can do some battle moves later!"
Acornpaw stayed in place to wait for his mentor to approach him. He usually did this so they could start whenever his mentor was ready; he didn't want to seem impatient.

"The ones by Butterfly Meadow are the best; luckily we're going towards there today." she sat down, and glimpsing Sandyclaw from the corner of her eye she got a nervous feeling. "Here comes Sandyclaw." she laughed, shaking it off. "Perhaps we will sometime later today." Orchidpaw replied to Meadowpaw, shrugging. She herself wasn't too keen on fighting.

Speckledsky padded across the clearing. She spotted her apprentice, Meadowpaw by the apprentices den, and headed towards the beautiful green leafed den. She had always admired the dens of the camp. Finally she reached her destination, "Meadowpaw?" she blinked, waiting for her apprentice to respond.
