Shadewillow felt dizziness and fear overcome her, and she panted slightly from her quick sprint with the herbs to the scene of the fox attack. Everything was a blur but she tried to make sense of it and do the best she could.

Amberheart whimpered pitifully. "It hurts," she croaked weakly.

Brindlewing and the patrol Arrived. He sniffed the area for anymore foxes. Looks clear He saw a red tuft of hair cling to a bramble bush. He padded up to it and found a den. Padding inside he smelt the foul odor of a fox, looking down he saw a little cub. not even a few days old. he picked it up and returned to camp with it. "Featherstar, what do i do with this?"

Gullpaw ran after Shadewillow, and to the sight of the fox attack. His eyes widened, first at Amberheart and then at the fox. That's that he smelled on Brindlewing! He ran towards Amberheart, panicking. He couldn't say anything.

Shadewillow nodded. "I know, I'll get to you in a moment." She promised with a slight fearful tone to her voice as she quickly rummaged through her herbs. "Eat a few for a moment, okay?" She asked, pushing a few poppy seeds to Amberheart.

He glanced at Maplefern and ran over to her. "U-uh...." He panicked, and looked over to see what Shadewillow was doing. Right, poppy seeds! He took a few from her herbs and pushed them to Maplefern. "H-here... E-eat these, p-please." He glanced around, worrying.

"Good job, Gullpaw. Keep up the good work." Shadewillow said briskly, continuing to chew up a poultice and work on Maplefern's splint quickly.

Amberheart licked up the poppy seeds, barely able to move.
Featherstar stared at the cub in astonishment. She shook her head fiercely to shake herself out of it. "Leave it out in the woods. It is still a kit, and will not hurt us. Take it away from the camp and leave it."

Gullpaw ran back over to Amberheart, shaking. He couldn't say anything. He grabbed some cobwebs, and sloppily put them on her wounds.

Shadewillow worked more efficiently now, rushing over to Maplefern with a bundle of assorted leaves. "Eat these, you'll stop coughing up things." She promised, turning to Gullpaw. "Keep on going, Gullpaw!" She chided him while continuing to tend to the rest of Maplefern's wounds.

Maplefern groaned loudly. She was laying in a small puddle of blood. Her leg felt like it would have never work again.
brindlewing returned to the scene. He padded to his sister. He smelt the stench of blood strong on her. Sitting beside her, he purred. "You are gonna be okay. Maybe banged up a little, but okay." he tried to comfort her. He liked her head and remembered when they were kits.
"Don't feel sorry for me!" She coughed. "I shouldn't have fought this battle. i should have ran, i had a bad feeling....Now....I- i won't be there for you, Brindlewing" Maplefern croaked, She felt tears slide down her face, parting her fur as it went.
Brindlewing dipped his head. "You have always been a good sister, and a good friend. Please. You will make it." he cried to her
