Shadewillow applied a bit more of the herb poultice and then dressed Amberheart's wounds with fresh leaves. "You should get back to camp, I will escort you and when you arrive, take it easy please." She said with a relieved sigh, nudging Amberheart to her feet gently.

Shadewillow gave another nod of gratitude, leading Amberheart back to camp and supporting her the best she could on her rather thin frame.

Shadewillow stopped in camp, right in front of a shaded tree. "You can rest here." She advised. "If you feel strange, come to me immediately. I'll check on you soon."

Shadewillow dipped her head respectfully and padded into the medicine cat den, fixing up the messy herbs that she had scattered while rushing to the scene of the fox attack.

Making her way hasitly onto shore, Ashstorm's panic grew as she noticed that Shadowkit wasn't responding. "Shadowkit? Shadowkit? Come on sweetheart, make a noise" she crooned, placing him on the shore, nuzzling and licking his fur the opposite way to warm him up. The movement would also help to expel any water taken in.

Ashstorm nearly sagged with relief, pausing in her ministrations before starting them up again for a moment. "What were you doing out of camp Shadowkit? What if I wasn't here to save you?" She asked the tiny tom, sitting back on her haunches with a frown. She could distantly hear screeches from camp. It sounded like Autumleaf noticed that her kit was gone.

Ashstorm's whiskers twitched at that unexpected news. It wasn't everyday that a kit caught a mouse. "What about the water, kit? You shouldn't be going near there at all. If I wasn't here for you, how would your mother feel?" She mentioned, flicking her tail towards camp. "Lets go gather your mouse and head back to camp Shadowkit. Your mother is starting to sound frantic.." she said, nudging the kit up to his paws.

Stormy blue eyes softened at the sight before her and she sighed. "Its not me who you should be apologizing to, its your mother. Lets go, alright?" Ashstorm said, touching his shoulder with her tail tip for a moment before motioning for him to lead the way.

After the duo retrieved the mouse, Ashstorm led the way towards camp. "You know, this is an impressive mouse for a kit your age" she murmured lowly to the damp tom, nudging him into camp first.

Shadowkit looked up at her proudly, unable to speak with the mouse in his jaws.

Brindlewing shot her a quick glance. He watched her stand on three legs. Brindlewing turned around and jumped up.

Maplefern tried to stand on all four, but the pain hurt a little too much. She eventually stood up on all four without major pain.

"You need to lay and sleep" Brindlewing ordered. He saw his sister roll her eyes.

"You act like im a hurt kit in the nursery. Im fine" Maplefern meowed, not sounding croaky anymore.

"i only do it when you make bad decisions. Almost always" Brindlewing smiled.

Maplefern smiled, she liked when her brother was overly protective. It made her feel like her mother and father her alive once more. She felt hyper after her long needed sleep. "I feel better, i feel like hunting. But Featherstar and Shadewillow won't let me...." She looked down at her paws

Brindlewing looked at Gullpaw. "She is fine, She looks and feels better. She has a stick secured to her leg." He meowed.

Maplefern's Fur stood on end. She got in defense mode. "Youngster.... Don't tell me to go anywhere. Im a warrior and your a apprentice. Once Shadewillow dies or retires, then i will listen to you" @display name

Brindlewing felt bad for the young tom. He saw the youngster leave. "Maplefern! You don't talk to youngsters like that."

Gullpaw slunk away from them, and to the main part of the camp. He shook, the surprise of the fox attack still fresh in his mind. He sat.
