Thunderfall was observant but honestly he couldn't be bothered most of the time with the antics of idiotic youths. He was stressed, rightly so, and his mind was else where. The fur along his spine bristled, indicating a rather negative train of thought crossed his mind. The timing must be perfect he thought grimly, ears flattening. They needed to make it to Mulberry Ridge, hopefully in time for him to observe Redstar's patrol. He wanted to know what was going on in terms of the investigation and it infuriated him that he was not being included. Thunderfall wasn't one to cross lightly and he would remember this– wait a minute. the large male thought. "Where is Littlespark?" He glanced over his shoulder to see the empty space in the formation that the female once stood in. He stopped, "We do not have time for games." He growled out, voice low, grating and grumbling. His rage bubbled, like a watery steam vent ready to blow and this little detour did NOT help.

With dread making his fur spike, Stagleap guiltily turned back to Thunderfall when the older, scarier tom spoke. Oh no! I shouldn't have let Littlespark run off! What have I done?? he thought to himself in a rush of fear. What if they executed her? Apart of Stagleap knew he was being stupid; executing cats for merely playing games would be ridiculous but he couldn't get it out of his mind. He stared blankly at Thunderfall for almost thirty seconds before answering. "I don't know where she went!" He yelped out foolishly. He was quick to cast his eyes to the ground and halted in his walking. His fur was puffing out despite his attempts to flatten it. "...Maybe she went home?" He wished he knew what Littlespark was trying to do. He didn't like seeing Thunderfall angry as much as he thought he would.

( GUYS I DON'T HAVE A PLAN. This wasn't the plan omgee xDD Making me use my brain now, lol )
Littlespark purred to herself as she trotted away from the patrol. It wasn't in her plans to leave the group but honestly, it was hard to be around Thunderfall. He had always seemed to be somewhat reasonable, not that they were had much reason to interact with each other since he was five years old and she was only three years old. They have been on patrols and he has always kind of been there through the shadows of her apprentice hood. Yet ever since Sapphiresky had been murdered, the tom has been a storm cloud. You can see a storm cloud coming on the horizon. It would look vengeful yet you were not sure when it would strike.
She briefly felt a pang of guilt for leaving Stagleap with Thunderfall but the year old tom would be fine. She trotted up the slope before springing into the leap to land on a narrow edge. The mottled white and ginger feline twitched her tail as she expertly began to trot along the ridge. She could hear her clanmates as she moved, there was really only twelve tail-lengths separating them even though it would appear like more since she has higher above them. Littlespark could catch flashes of them through the Mulberry bushes, they were getting closer and closer to their destination.
Littlespark could hear Thunderfall's growling words and she couldn't let help the loud snort that erupted from her. She moved a little faster, so that she could reach the ledge that hung a little over the path. She leaped up onto it with ease, her muscles shifting gently under her pelt. "Calm yourself, Thunderfall," she meowed in a dismissive tone. She wasn't going to let herself get scolded like a newborn kit by some grumpy tom, even if he was grieving and the new deputy. He was also terrorizing poor Stagleap, the young tom seemed to be shaking like a leaf. She let out a huff, briefly wondering what Redstar was thinking about making Thunderfall deputy. He might have the experience but he certainly doesn't have the heart, especially not anymore.
"I would never abandon the patrol," Littlespark couldn't help growl at Thunderfall, her honey ambers sharp and cool. She was hardly playing games. Playing games would include her throwing sticks and small pebbles at the patrol from where she was at now but no. She was mature and confident warrior. She swished her tail and turned around, starting to make the motion to move back onto her path. "Hurry up! Otherwise, I will beat all three of you guys there!" she called over herself as she disappear out of sight back onto her own secret path. 'Toms', she thought to herself. She could feel the annoyance bubbling under her fur.
( OKay, is that good? Understable? I wrote a little more than what was planned but it happened. )

{{ I think that was a good response. A + }} Stagleap dipped his head guiltily while Littlespark scolded Thunderfall. I shouldn't have suggested that she'd leave the patrol! he thought unhappily, his tail swishing under him. I should've known that would be rude. Even though she was directly scolded Thunderfall, Stagleap still felt somewhat responsible, as he had been the one to say that she might've went back to camp without even thinking about what Littlespark would think if she heard him! Honeyblossom was always telling him to think before he spoke, and he had messed up again. He sighed softly and readied himself to continue following Thunderfall, as he felt that Littlespark wouldn't want him following her.

Thunderfall snapped his teeth at Littlespark, but said nothing. At least, he said nothing to her. "I'll rip that female's ears off her head" he growled out, voice low and angry. Objectively he knew that she wasn't THAT much younger than him. But she acted like a kitten fresh out of the nursery. Most did. It drove him nuts.

Stagleap awkwardly flicked his tail, silently listening to Thunderfall speak. He was always actively trying to avoid being judgmental, but he couldn't help but wonder why Thunderfall was chosen as deputy and as a mentor. Surely, Slypaw couldn't be learning any good behaviors from watching Thunderfall, could he? Stagleap shrugged off the thoughts, and instead attempted to take Thunderfall's attention off of Littlespark. He didn't want the friendly she -cat to lose her ears, after all. "Should we get going?" he asked quietly. "To Mulberry Bridge...? Maybe?"

Littlespark swished her tail as she moved along at a fast pace. She knew she shouldn't have had hissed at Thunderfall but she had never been the type to just roll over and accept anything. No-one was going to stand up to the rude tom and it would have to be done eventually to stop him from going on a warpath. The white she-cat shook her head and started to start the trek down where she figured Thunderfall was going to pause the patrol to issue where they were specificing going to be hunting and how long until they meet up.

"Yes, Mulberry Ridge" Thunderfall shook his head, trying to get back on track. "We should hurry. Spread out when you get there." With that he lengthened his strides and quickened his pace. It wasn't far, he could see the incline that would lead to the top of the hill, and their destination. "Come on then," he called out and shot off like a hummingbird after a choice flower. His paws collided with the earth, thudding angrily as his pace and posture suggested he was still quite peeved at Littlespark. Now though, nearing the top, he slowed down to a crawl. To hunt, one must be near silent.

Littlespark paused for a moment, trying to remember how get down from the path safely. Her amber eyes flickered around the ledges and she hummed to herself, before crouching and leaping to a ledge. She let out a grunt as she landed a little hardier than she meant to. She twitched her tail before making another leap and then another before her paws were pawed on the ground. She shook her head, letting out a laugh to herself before looking over her shoulder at the way she came down. 'That was little different,' she thought to herself before sprinting to join back up with her patrol. Littlespark slowed down to a light jog once she caught their scent. She slipped around a mulberry bush, almostly silently as she shifted her weight around expertly on her paws. Otherwise the mice would hear the vibrations and spook before they could even start hunting.

Are I and Littlespark still going to have a hunting competition? Stagleap wondered to himself as he, too, sped up his pace to follow after Thunderfall. By the time they arrived at Mulberry Ridge, Stagleap was struggling to catch his breath a little bit. He always held his breath when he was feeling anxious and that tended to backfire on him whenever he was trying to run or hunt. Now, he supposed, he was feeling anxious that Littlespark be mad at him, which truly was a terrifying thought. The strong she -cat had chewed out her own deputy and Stagleap feared that she might be more scary to him because he wasn't as high ranked as Thunderfall, having become a warrior only a short time ago. He sat down heavily when he was a Mulberry Ridge, and decided to sit there until he got his breath back. He kept his ears perked for prey that he could catch, and maybe Littlespark so he could apologize.

Littlespark let out a very soft purr as she took note of the patrol. 'Right on schedule,' she thought with an amused twitch of her whiskers. The mottled she-cat padded over to Stagleap, since she enjoyed the younger tom's company. She ignored Thunderfall's huffy attitude as she fell back into place with Stagleap. She glanced at the tom in concern as she noticed that he was taking in deeper breaths. Littlespark frowned and flashed her eyes towards Thunderfall, noticing that the tom made no motion to check on Stagleap's welfare. She brushed her fur against the tom's in a comforting gesture, "Are you okay, Stagleap?" she asked him with a quiet voice, not to disturb Thunderfall when he was going into hunting-mode-activated.

Stagleap flinched when he felt Littlespark's fur. Needless to say, her sudden appearance had taken him by surprise, but he relaxed when he saw that it her. He breathed heavily once more before answering in a somewhat awkward, stunted way "Yeah. I'm, I'm fine just sometimes I hold my breath when I'm anxious." he told her. Saying the problem outloud made it sound silly and he turned his eyes to the floor and changed the subject. "I'm sorry I, that I didn't stand up for you earlier." He told her guiltily. He felt horribly uncomfortable bringing up his mistake, but it felt better than having to explain his self -inflicted breathing problem.

( foxdance, I like roleplaying with you. you are a good noodle o3o )
Littlespark let out a snort in disbelief before she could stop herself. It seemed like her usual brain-to-mouth filter was working today. "You don't have to lie to me," she meowed softly and gently nudged Stagleap with her shoulder. "I won't judge you," she purred, brushing their fur together in a comforting manner and she shrugged her shoulder in a dismissive manner at his apology, "You are alright, Stagleap, " she meowed with a twitch of her whiskers. She could tell by the way his gaze flickered away that he wasn't interested in continuing their previous part of the conversation. There was a sharp yet playful glint in her eyes, "I have known Thunderfall just a little longer than you and I am quite capable of picking my own battles," she meowed with a grin. Littlespark has always been a rather bold she-cat, something that her mother never agreed with but her mother was content to be a queen and frankly, a horrible warrior. Littlespark had always strived to be better. Better than her mother, better than her father and many warriors that have come before her. To do that, she had to be strong and willing to push past boundaries that others wouldn't dare to cross.

Stagleap was lucky to have not noticed Littlespark snort at him, because otherwise he would've over thought it and remembered it for moons to come, but at the moment he was glad that she wasn't mad at him. He had been very concerned that she would push him of a cliff or something like that and he'd be very sad, and dead. "Ok. I'm glad you're not mad." he told her honestly, although he was sure he would regret it later. "...Are we still having a hunting competition?" he asked a bit reluctantly, drawing himself away slightly, in case she refused.

( No problem <3 Good noodles are the best c; haha )
Littlespark cast a glance towards Thunderfall before looking back to Stagleap, "I don't stay mad for long," she meowed with a small laugh. Her honey amber eyes were glowing with warmth. She nodded, "Of course we are." she meowed before slowing down to a stop. "I bet we should start now," she meowed with a small laugh and then she started to pad away to hunt in peace. "Good luck, Stagleap," she called over her shoulder as she disappeared behind a mulberry bush. There had to be some rabbits hiding around here, Littlespark thought to herself, feeling rather determined to win this little fun competition.

{{ nyello again }}
Breezeflower had finally managed to drag herself out of her nest, and was now eating a plump mouse. She knew that she had slept in to late, and had most likely missed out on all of the patrols that were going out. Breezeflower let out a sigh of disappointed, and took a bite of her mouse. She of course, could try and go on a hunting patrol with another cat, if they were up to the task, but the camp seemed mostly empty, so that option was unlikely as well. She was afraid that she had missed out, and would have to sit in camp and do nothing for half the day.

{{ Agreed. Who do you want to win the competition? I don't mind either way }} "Oh! Yeah, okay." Stagleap answered, but only after he watched Littlespark walk away. He didn't exactly register that they were still having a contest and he flattened his ears in embarrassment after realizing. He doubted that she heard, but he still felt bad. He lingered on this for a few more seconds before snapping back to reality and sniffing the air to hunt. Hunting was one of the things that Stagleap was actually decent at; fighting, socializing, and existing seemed pretty hard for Stagleap to do, but hunting came rather easily. He caught the faint scent of a rabbit, but it appeared to be coming from where Littlespark had went. He turned around and went on to search for more prey elsewhere.

( Stagleap. He needs the confidence boost. xD
hello swift! -waves- )
Littlespark let out a purr of amusement as she caught Stagleap's final words. The mottled she-cat slipped away from the patrol, following the scent of the rabbit. It was starting to turn faint but it would freshen as she moved farther into the ridge. She stepped lightly on her paws, her amber gaze darting around for any signs of a rabbit. Her eyes brighten as she caught sight of a piece of fur that snagged on a mulberry bush. Littlespark dropped into a crouch and slowly started to creep forward until she could see the rabbit, settling under a bush. She moved closer and closer before leaping towards the rabbit. It saw her and started to run but it was only a short chase before Littlespark swiftly brought it down with a neat blow to the neck. She purred to herself, pleased with the rabbit and she mumbled a quiet prayer of gratitude for the catch. Littlespark grabbed the rabbit by the scruff and dragged it over to a bush to hide it from other predators and scavengers.

{{ I bet Stagleap will like that. }} It took a bit longer than Stagleap expected to find any prey. He sniffed the air repeatedly, but to seemingly no avail. He was okay with going slow, however, as he was sure that he'd mess up something and it was doing him good to prepare as he walked. Finally, he caught the scent of a bird. He hoped it wasn't in any trees, because he was horrible at climbing. Luckily for him, he caught sight of the bird, pecking at the ground, but his heart sank when he saw that it was a raven. He didn't like messing with ravens: failure to catch them resulted in a life -long enemy, as he learned once when he was an apprentice. He was sure that there was still a raven out there somewhere, hating his guts. Well, its the only prey around here. So it'll have to do. Stagleap thought, his tail flicking nervously. He dropped into a stalk, and went around it, so he could attack from behind. He made sure to be extra careful, getting as close as possible before he flung himself forward and grabbed onto the raven, which began to screech. He cut it off quickly by killing it. He dropped it onto the ground. He whispered gratitude for the prey. After a second, he asked StarClan to make sure no other ravens saw him killing their friend. HoneyblossomHoneyblossom was sure that she hadn't fallen back asleep but it turned out she had. When she could no longer hear Stagleap's jittering, it was pretty easy to do, but she was awoken when she realized that Breezeflower was no longer in the den. Oh no! Honeyblossom thought, quickly rolling to her paws. I don't want anyone to think I'm lazy! I need to get moving. She groomed herself as fast as she could; even though she didn't want anyone to think her lazy, she also didn't want to be thought a slob, either. She peered out of the den. She waited a second before strutting out casually, making her way to Breezeflower. Sitting next to her, she huffed. "I figured you'd wake me up, Breezeflower!" she whispered harshly, her ears flattening. "Cats will think I'm lazy if I can't even get up in the morning."

Breezeflower chuckled once Honeyblossom began to whisper to her. Techinacly, Honeyblossom should be able to wake up by herself. She was a warrior, after all. "I think that you'll be okay," Breezeflower purred, turning her head to her aggravated sister. "If it makes you feel any better, I didn't wake up to long ago. We can be lazy together," she mewed, hoping that perhaps being funny would brighten up Honeyblossom. If not, Breezeflower could always make herself laugh.

Honeyblossom rolled her eyes at Breezeflower. Sometimes, it surprised her that she was even related to Breezeflower -she was so careless compared to Honeyblossom, and didn't even seem to give a single seconds worth of thought to what her image was to her clanmates. She scowled as answered, "Great. Now all of our clanmates are going to think badly of both of us!" she snapped grumpily, barely able to keep her tail from lashing, "What a joy this is." She ended rather sourly, glancing around to make sure other cats were out of ear shot.

Littlespark let out a hum and padded away from the rabbit she had just buried. She sniffed the air, trying to find another scent. She wrinkled her nose as she started to head deeper into the bushes, being mindful of the gorge near by. She could hear chirping close by, and hopefully she would be able to catch another piece of prey.

Stagleap spent a few minutes wondering where to put his crow, where he wouldn't forget it. He eventually decided on burying it near the main path, because if it were anywhere too far off the path, he would lose the crow and never see it again and all of his clanmates would starve because of his forgetfulness. He buried it quickly and as he sniffed the air for another piece of prey, he reminded himself of the crow's location. He caught the scent of mice and was quick to follow them, carefully slinking to the ground and walking carefully. He forgot how far away a mouse could hear, so he figured it was best to go slowly and quietly for a better chance. He eventually caught sight of a little mouse tail disappearing around a bush and he wiggled closer to the ground as he prepared to close in on it.

Littlespark stalked through the mulberry bushes, being mindful of how close she was getting to some of them. She didn't want to rustle a bush and give away her location. The mottled she-cat moved closer to the sound of chirps and glanced around, looking for the bird. 'Aha,' she mused inwardly as she spotted the sparrow on the ground, pecking for bugs. She creeped a little bit closer before springing into a leap, knowing that the bird would see her and she would have to readjust her jump. She managed to catch the bird by it's wing and bring it to the ground. Littlespark gave it a sharp nip before picking it up and carrying it back to where she hid the rabbit.
