"Okay!" Shimmerpaw bounds up to Lilacblossom, excited and ready. Maybe Sleekstar will be at camp by the time we get back! she thinks.

She follows the apprentice, carefully keeping her tongue down, not to damage the herbs. Grass feels soft against her pads. Lilacblossom keeps a careful eye on Shimmerpaw, trying not to look as if she was.

Shimmerpaw feels the medicine cat's gaze burning into her back, and she quickens her pace, keeping the herbs carefully between her teeth, not damaging them. She feels uncomfortable under the gaze of Lilacblossom.

Halfway back to camp, Lilacblossom stopped. Waiting for the apprentice to do so as well. She meowed, "Be careful of this rocky slope!"

"Shimmerpaw, just drop the herbs in my den." She heads towards the den, drops off her herbs, and turns around to see ( @thistlereed 's character). |

Shimmerpaw also turns around. "Oh, hi!" she mews, dropping the bundle of leaves and taking the cobwebs off her paws.

Sleekstar opened his eyes. His refreshing nap made him feel a wholelot better. He would stretch his lithe body out and walk towards the prey pile before deciding to eat a mouse.

Shuimmerpaw walks towards Sleekstar, wanting to ask him about being a medicine cat apprentice instead. Hopefully he'll say yes! "Sleekstar?" she mews as she walk up to him.

" Yes , Shimmerpaw ? " He asks attentive waiting for a response. He looks her deep in the eyes and knows shes not feeling like she belonged. But Sleekstar always knew he was one to help the apprentices and warriors if they ever needed someone to talk too. He licked his lips. (( Sorry for late reply ))

Lilacblossom left Shimmerpaw talking to the Clan leader. Putting down her own herbs, she sorted each one. Gently, picking them up one by one in her jaws, Lilacblossom fit each one in its tiny ledge.

Shimmerpaw pads slowly to the apprentice's den, head hanging. THAT WAS STUPID, SHIMMERPAW!! GET IT TOGETHER!!! She internally kicks herself, trying not to cry as she enters the den.

Sleekstar walks to Spiderfang. He gives his brother a nod. Then he walks up to him and flicks his tail. " Spiderfang , Your apprentice isn't feeling too well so she will be off duties for the next day. "
Spiderfang was in shock but nodded and pads off to the Warriors den. What had he done to upset Shimmerpaw? Why did she feel not as good ? Spiderfang really loved to be a mentor but he understood if his apprentice didn't want to be a warrior apprentice.
