*Fernstar didn't listen. she bit down hard on Garlicstar's neck.*
*Redclaw launched himself at Fernstar, but it was already too late. Garlicstar was dead.*
*Firepelt watched in horror.*
*Fernstar leapt away from Redclaw's claws.*

Brightwind turned away in horror, looking back for a moment to call out "She's dead!" With anguish as she closed her eyes.
Rockfall couldn't believe it. His leader, out of all the cats in the clans, killed someone? Unbelievable. He tried to tell himself that this was just because Garlicstar was already weakened and old, but in his heart he knew that Fernstar actually did this on purpose.

*Redclaw stared at his dead leader. he then glared at Fernstar* this is unforgiveable.
*Fernstar glared back* and what are you going to do about it?
*Redclaw snarled, but didn't say anything. instead, he put his shoulders underneath Garlicstar and arried her across the tree-bridge.*
*Firepelt followed close behind with the rest of Thunderclan. an apprentice walked alongside her, looking scared to death. Firepelt laid her tail across the apprentice's shoulders.*

The RiverClan leader bowed her head and cleared her throat. "RiverClan, follow me." She mewed hoarsely, padding away back to camp.
Brightriver gave the WindClan tom one last fearful look as she followed her leader on trembling paws.
Stonefall didn't understand... Fernstar had killed a cat! A leader, to top it off! He felt a shiver of dread spike through his pelt.

Stonefall chose not to return back to camp with ShadowClan, and instead slunk off into the forest to find a clan with a better reputation and a not-so-bloodthirsty leader. He stumbled upon ThunderClan's camp, breathless. Looking from behind a bush, he realized they were hosting a meeting.
Brightwind told her entire clan what happened, and concerned murmurs spread among them as they wondered what they should do.

*Firepelt looked around as the cats of Thunderclan were murmuring their hatred and disgust of Shadowclan.*
*Redclaw yowled above the noise.* I must choose a deputy! *the noise died down and Redclaw said* I call upon the spirits of Starclan so they may hear and approve of my choice. Firepelt will be the new deputy. *yowls of congratulation exploded from the clan.*
*Firepelt was shocked. She never dreamed of becoming deputy.*

"Wait!" Stonefall burst through the trees to interrupt the ceremony with a loud noise. "I can't live with a leader who kills others for revenge. Tonight I couldn't bring myself to come back to the clan, who was laughing about your leader dying and how frail he was. It was horrible, talking about a cat who had passed on like that. Will I have the honour of staying in your clan, Redclaw?" He asked.

Stonefall hung his head in shame as all the ThunderClan cats seemed to act wary of him, and went to a corner of camp to mope.
Gorsestar, the WindClan leader, decided to plan an attack on ShadowClan. She had gathered a big battle patrol and decided to ambush them in the dead of night.

*Shadowclan was in their camp, two other cats had left the clan to become loners because of what Fernstar did. Some of the cats of Shadowclan were talking about how they would kill Fernstar themselves.*

WindClan began the attack on ShadowClan immediately the next night. Eventually the battle went on to ThunderClan territory, and fierce yowls could be heard from their camp.
Stonefall took a deep breath as he realized that the scent of blood tinged the air. "There's a fight going on in our territory!" He yowled.

*Redstar peeked his ears.* I can hear it. *he snapped.* Firepelt! Arrange battle patrols.
*Firepelt nodded and selected five cats for each patrol. There were three patrols. Redstar nodded and flicked his tail at Stonefall.* come with me and Firepelt so we can see what is going on. Attack on my orders *he said to the battle patrols.* hopefully we won't need to.
*Fernstar growled as she slashed at a Windclan tom's ears.*

RiverClan had already joined in on the battle at this time, and Brightwind tried to bring as many ShadowClan cats down as she could.
Stonefall gave a curt nod, padding over to the two cats with scared eyes. "I know my clan well enough, they would be smart enough to know some clan would attack them sooner or later. There must be some catch...." He muttered.
Suddenly, dozens of rogues broke out of the trees and bushes to surround the patrols, but seemed to bear no malice to the ShadowClan cats.

*Fernstar looked up and smirked.* you finally arrived.
*Redstar flicked his tail and set off towards the sound of the battle, he was ready to get revenge for Garlicstar.*
*Firepelt followed Redstar while the patrols went up different parts of the cliffs to be sure that they would surprise their enemies.*

Billystorm - Warrior
Ginger and white tom. He is easily sidetracked, and doesn't always think about the big picture. He is originally from Skyclan. He had a mate, Leafstar, and three kits, Firekit, Harrykit, and Stormkit. One day, he was captured by Twolegs and driven in a monster to near Stormclan territory. He was able to escape through a hole in the monster. He is now near Shadowclan territory.
