[[ So Beauty and the Beast last night was amazing. I really liked the movie a lot! Now I have a reply here for Rush, but I can't remember if there was anyone else I needed to respond to. If not, then is there anywhere I could jump in? I still have Batpaw, Owlpaw, and Elkpath available. ]]
The elder cracked a small smile. "Well good to know I'm able to keep someone company." Graystone replied. He gave a chuckle, amused by Soothawk's embarrassment of his sudden departure. He nodded to the protector in confirmation and replied, "No worries Soothawk, you may leave. I had a feeling I was about to intrude on something." He then turned his attention to Nettlemask. At his question, marbled tom's head tilted slightly to side as his gaze furrowed thoughtfully. "Well life for me has been slowing down a little," he meowed. Graystone shifted subconsciously to a more comfortable position. "Though I can guarantee there must be something at least a little more exciting with you." He gave a genuine smile indicating he wasn't trying to pry some information from him. A protector like Nettlemask must have more things happening than an elder like himself.

(( kestrelheart is open! she's in the clan just chilling somewhere
and i might end up drawing a lot of the cats in the clan! i'll prob have a set lineart that ill make, of course, but itll be fun. ))
Ospreypaw flushed with the praise and sat down to watch his friends hunt, moving his tail side to side while he waited and watched. Sagepaw was a brilliant hunter- she just needed to slow down and master ambushes instead of starting from further away and allowing her prey to escape. He himself was good at observing and knowing how to do things, but at actually doing it besides healing he was horrible- he couldn’t fight, even if he was against a kit. Amberstep watched with narrowed eyes, not quite sure she was still pleased with Sagepaw. She never took things seriously and was constantly disrespectful- but she waited for her to catch some prey, carefully eyeing her movements while she searched for exactly where the prey was.
-
Mistwatcher purred in amusement, the sound coming out soft and a bit rough. “Of course I would love to teach you, Honeyteller. Everyone should have knowledge of the other branches of the Clan, even if they aren’t good at it. I’m not good at fighting, but at least I learned how to dodge correctly, right? I can teach you and my tenderpaw both while we’re on trips. It would be a pleasure.” He happily noticed how the rain was lessening until it was back to a sprinkle, a surprised sound coming out from his mouth until he groaned when it just went back to raining heavier. “Joy,” he said flatly before chuckling. “This might last longer than I expected.

Scarlet & Ember; outskirts of GroundClan A red and brown feline seemed to be walking aimlessly through the trees. Scarlet was very aware of the border, she could smell the variety of cats along the trail. She didn't seem to pay much attention to it however. Her lips curled in disgust. Now why would so many cats choose to live together? The idea just seemed absurd to the she-cat. After all, she had been on her own since she was only eleven moons old. Scarlet had only just arrived to the area days ago, she had yet to see any other cats. As each day passed she ventured closer to the marked territory, now she was right on the edge, walking along the outskirts. She paused to rub a paw in the dirt, pondering whether she would go further. Scarlet wasn't planning on staying long, she was passing through - or at least, trying to.
Cobaltshard & Gingerear; Camp Though he had been awake for some time, the blue-grey tom was just now emerging from the protector's den. He hadn't been assigned to any early patrols and while it probably wasn't responsible of him to wait so long to do something; he didn't seem to be embarrassed. Looking across camp at all the bustling felines, his pale green gaze rested on Gingerear, who seemed quite at peace. I hope she won't mind me bothering her. The tom though amusingly. Trotting up to her, tail held high, he meowed, "I hope you aren't sleeping, Gingerear." Cobaltshard circled the she-cat once. A chirpy mew following, "That would be pretty impressive." He sat down in front of her and nonchalantly wiped a paw over his right ear waiting for her to respond.

Ember was sleeping in his new den, in the hollowed out trunk that he had made for himself. He had smelled the border, of course, but it was faint. He had been traveling his whole life, and it seemed strange that any cat would mark their territory- so, of course, he had assumed it was a harmless animal that he could either hunt or climb a tree to escape from. He awoke at the faint smell of an approaching cat, snarling when he registered it and awoke fully. He stalked out of his home and growled at the new cat as they approached him, bristling. "Go away," he snapped. "This area is mine for now." He was tired, snappish, and not kind at all- like usual. He didn't meet cats often, and they generally weren't the kind he liked. As he was staying here at least for the moon, he refused to yield to the oncoming shecat.

Hearing the sound of a voice caused Gingerear to open her eyes. Blinking, she looked up at Cobaltshard and gave an amused purr. "Of course not." She mused, sitting up and licking down her ruffled chest fur. "Unfortunately I'll have to pass on that talent for now." The ginger and white she-cat smiled gently before giving a small yawn. "Was there something you needed? I'm open to help." Certainly the tom needed help with something, why else would he have grabbed her attention? Whether it was a patrol or hunting, Gingerear was up for her. Her little rest had been just enough to where it hadn't left her as tired, or even more tired, than how she had come into the little catnap. It would do her good to get out of camp again.

hey everyone c:
Fogpath widened her grin a bit as Cherrystorm said he was doing well. She was glad that the clan seemed to be doing well, as well as the individuals. She'd heard of some tension between the tom and Sagepaw, but it didn't seem to be getting to him too bad. Unless, of course, he was just hiding it, which was a possibility. Either way, at least on the outside he seemed fine. Snakefrost however didn't think about it that much and instead focused on what he said afterwards. Fogpath's eyes brightened at the idea of hunting, and even Snakefrost cracked a small smile. They gave each other a glance before Fogpath meowed enthusiastically, "We'd love to!" Neither of them had any plans for the day, and Icetail hadn't put them on any patrols. Fogpath flexed her claws at the thought of capturing a juicy mouse before realizing she hadn't eaten yet. She made a mental note to eat as soon as they got back, as she didn't want to eat before she at least contributed something to the food pile. Snakefrost stood up and shook out his fur, sending a couple pebbles flying from his fur. "Shall we leave now?" He asked, assuming that they would.

{{ oh shh its fine Rush ^u^ }}
Scarlet & Ember; Edge of GroundClan
Scarlet stopped abruptly in her tracks at the call of the tomcat. Her pelt bristled when she noticed him and her face scrunched up in a sneer. "As far as I'm concerned, no land belongs to anyone!" She has stood by that firmly throughout her whole life and felt it silly to try to stay on one patch of land for a given time. Scarlet couldn't remember the last time she slept in the same bed twice. Even if she stayed in one area for a few moons, the cat was constantly moving around. She had learned early on that movement means life and to stay put will only get you killed. Scarlet debated her next retort but it came out anyways. "If you haven't noticed, a group of cats has already attempted to lay claim anyways." Her tail tip flicked, it was contradicting but she hoped the tom would feel threatened by the other cats in the area.
Cobaltshard & Gingerear; Camp
Dawn patrol had long been done and he didn't think it would hurt to do another once-over. He could go hunting too but he wanted constant movement and had no desire to prowl for furry little things. Realistically he should have just joined the dawn patrol, he shrugged the thought away. No use pondering what's already been done. Besides, now he would have some time to chat with Gingerear. The tom tilted his head. "I wanted to know if you would like to go on a quick patrol with me?" His voice had a cool, cheery tone to it.

"Sure." Gingerear replied happily, waving her orange tail behind her. "It'll do me good to get back out. The weather has been so nice recently that it's been hard to find excuses to get out!" She mused, a sparkle in her amber eyes. The white she-cat stood up and shook out her pelt, signaling that she was ready to go. Gingerear was larger than the average she-cat, but not fat. Underneath her dense pelt was an array of muscles, all of which had been sculpted by the rocky terrain she had found so easy to navigate throughout her life. She was simply born to be a GroundClan cat. "Are you ready to go now?" She asked, looking over at the dark colored tom, facing the entrance of the camp.

"This clearing is mine," he hissed, hackles raising and teeth bared. "I could care less about whatever group of cats attempted to lay claim. The scent isn't fresh." He could care less about the territory, but he needed to wait for someone he had agreed to meet around this area as the next moon started. Ember would wait until then to book it, since he had gotten there early. Maybe the cat he was meeting would be early, too, but he didn't know. They were a shady type, always lurking in twoleg places and preying on kittypets. "Now, you can leave, just stay out of the clearing or something. I don't care, but this is mine."

Sand Falconmist slowed her pace as she headed back to camp. She decided it might be better for her to take in the fresh air on the way home. Besides, it was a nice day and prey was beginning to be plentiful once more. Maybe she could catch something else on her way back, and bring even more back to camp.
The tabbied Egyptian Mau silently padded through the territory, only stopping when she heard a cat call out to her. She put the squirrel down at her paws and tasted the air. "Palefox?" She called out, waving her tail through the air. "Over here!" She hadn't expected to run into another cat on her outing, but why wouldn't she? It was a nice day, after all. Others had to be just as eager to get out as she. Hearing his clanmate's call, Palefox glimpsed up to see their waving tail in the air, appearing somewhat muddled to him thanks to the scenery before him, full of lush greens and muddy browns. Coming to a halt, he began to search for a path to get to Falconmist without having to waste any more energy on running around the forest like a lost kitten. "Coming!" he shouted, getting back to his paws and hurrying in the direction of Falconmist.
It didn't take him too long to track the she-cat down as he was able to recognize where she had stopped. Soon enough, he was only a tail-length's away from the tabbied feline, giving his surroundings a good look in case anyone else was around. It appeared that it was only the two of them-- at least for now. "Falconmist! I knew I heard someone," the long-furred protector commented, plumy tail flicking behind him. "What are you doing out here? Are you on a hunting patrol?"
What if she was on a hunting patrol that had passed through without his knowledge? He could have joined them, but he didn't notice any other cats that were close by and hunting. Taking a deep breath, Palefox waited for a response eagerly, pleased that he had found someone along the way; being alone in the woods wasn't exactly his favorite thing in the world. Though that was a story for another time.

She added the last part of her statement a bit bitterly. She was unsure of why she had even said it originally, but she knew Palefox wouldn't judge her. Plus, protectors needed practice too. Badgerpaw - -
One could say Badgerpaw wasn't interested with the daily duties that took place in his day for he was acting sluggish. He hadn't done a thing today except for sneaking a piece of prey earlier that morning. Otherwise, his time spent in camp had been mundane and idolent. Lying on his side outside the tenderpaw's den, the snowshoe pawed at the solid, cold cavern floor. To be honest, he was bored out of his mind and felt like he could go stir crazy any moment now. There has to be something to do around here, right? the feline thought, ears flicking. Maybe I can find Echobreeze and train? Or bother another tenderpaw..
The more Badgerpaw contemplated on what he could do, the more he realized he could have done this hours ago. Sunrises even! Letting out a soft snort, the tenderpaw finally found the strength to sit up, his clear blue eyes scouring GroundClan's camp for someone.. anyone, at this point.

No matter what another cat thought of her, Sagepaw was going to prove to the whole patrol that she was an outstanding hunter. She was quick on her paws and agile, able to twist and turn while still keeping up at a steady pace. Nothing could get past her - that’s at least what she wanted to think of herself. She certainly was growing up to be a hunter like her father, but she wasn’t quite as talented as he was just yet. Before leaving the patrol to catch the warbler she had scented, Sagepaw made a show of scanning around for anything lurking in the shadows; she then followed up by scenting the air. Nothing but prey scent and rain. Secure in her decision to now take down the bird, Sagepaw slipped off a few fox-lengths away. Just beyond a small huckleberry bush was the warbler Sagepaw had smelled. The she-cat grinned - that bird was going to be hers. Lowering her slender body close to the ground, Sagepaw stalked forward. When the warbler was a simple leap away from her, she bunched her hindquarters and pounced. Within moments the ginger tabby had a limp bird in her jaws, amber eyes sparkling with victory. Displaying her kill with pride, Sagepaw trotted back to Amberstep and the others.

This was honestly like a dream come true to the omen-teller. She had never had the chance to follow her own desires of becoming a healer. Being an omen-teller was rewarding in itself, but had she not been star-kissed, Honeyteller was sure she would have never made it to even becoming an elite. ”Thank you so much, Mistwatcher.” Out of her joy the orange-spotted feline pushed herself up to her paws and leaned forward to tap her nose lightly against the tomcat’s shoulder. Even if he wasn’t going to completely train her - and Honeyteller would never ask that much of him - she was more than happy to even get the chance to shadow Mistwatcher and Galepaw. While she was already up on her paws, Honeyteller padded near the exit of the hollow. She stuck her muzzle out, her nose scrunching up when a few raindrops splattered against it. ”You could try to brave the rain,” the she-cat pointed out with a joking tone to her voice. ”Or maybe I could hold up a large fern over you if this lasts longer than expected.” This time there truly was seriousness in her words as she was actually contemplating it.

While Cherrystorm had a little fall out with Sagepaw earlier in the morning, he was trying to push that little squabble out of his mind. By leading a hunting patrol the tabby was sure to get his mind off of things that troubled him for a while. Doing something he enjoyed would surely keep his mind off of everything that bothered him such as Sagepaw’s rebellious attitude toward him. A stream of relief washed over the ginger tabby when both the littermates agreed to join him on the hunting patrol. Now he had a full patrol to take out. Perfect. Cherrystorm gestured with his thin tail for the two to come along. ”I believe we shall,” he responded with a nod. ”Is there anywhere in particular you two want to go? I was considering going to the base of Startoucher peaks. As far as I know no patrol has been there for a few days to hunt.” There had been a fox seen in that area a few days prior, but this would be the perfect chance to hunt and check for any signs of the fox if it was still around. And if they ran into the wily creature, surely the three of them could easily take it.

Scarlet & Ember; Edge of Groundclan
The auburn she-cat couldn't help but roll her copper eyes at the dark colored tom. How ridiculous! She made no motion to move on, she merely looked out into the claimed territory. Scarlet was tempted to spite the angered cat but she also felt drawn deeper into the marked land. Just as the tom had said, the scent was stale, perhaps they had moved on? There was only one way for the feline to find out, she gingerly crossed the borderline, her tail twitching behind her. "Stupid mouse-brain." She muttered under her breath as a farewell to the dark cat she had just encountered.
Cobaltshard & Gingerear; Camp
After leaning back onto his haunches in a light stretch, he replied. "I'm ready if you are!" He didn't hesitate to stand up and begin trotting towards the camp entrance. Perhaps it had been the weather or his good night's sleep but Cobaltshard was in an exceptionally good mood. The day could only get better from here on. He turned to look at Gingerear before saying, "I figured we would just go straight out, maybe the dawn patrol overlooked that spot in the trees." Even if the dawn patrol had touched the clearing, it wouldn't hurt to go over it once more. Cobaltshard just enjoyed looking out past their territory, he hadn't ventured far out of it so all that undiscovered land was full of mystery.

Gingerear nodded and began trotting with Cobaltshard to the camp entrance. She supposed that everyone was in a good mood because of the weather, it was nice to have rain every so often. The white she-cat had heard Nettlemask complaining across camp, but what was new? The sandy tabby was alway onto something. Shaking her head at her wandering mind, Gingerear snapped her attention back to the tom beside her when he began speaking again.
"Sounds good to me." She responded, flicking her tail tip. "I went out earlier and didn't see anything, but I could have missed something. It wasn't a formal patrol, of course, more of a walk with hunting." She said, referring to her venture out of camp earlier that day. If anything it was just a walk. She had caught a chipmunk on her way back, but she had gone out without intentions, as she often did.

Fogpath gave an eager nod as they began to head out. Snakefrost thought for a moment before nodding his head in agreement with the tom. "I think that sounds good." He meowed, not recalling many patrols there recently either. Fogpath agreed with a small nod of her head and a rather quiet "Mhm!" She didn't seem to really care too much about where they went. She did like the scenery of the Startoucher peaks, however, so it seemed like a good option for her. As Fogpath walked towards the camp exit, she looked back and meowed, with a friendly smile on her face, "Come on, you guys are so slow!" With a small roll of his eyes he gave Cherrystorm a slightly annoyed look before letting out a small breathe of air and following after her. Icetail had asked Cherrystorm to lead the patrol, not her. Sometimes Fogpath was a little embarrassing to her brother, he had to admit. Fogpath was oblivious to the slight irritation her brother was feeling and hurried forward, not wasting a single second to get out of the walls of the cavern that was their camp.

Owlpaw & Badgerpaw // Camp - -
With Batpaw out somewhere doing who knew what, Owlpaw was left by herself for the time being. The small brown tabby was sitting out nearby the tenderpaw's den watching everyone move about. Patrols were being made, cats mingling with one another, a lot of activity going on for sure. Movement front the den nearby her caught the she-cat's eye. She saw Badgerpaw pad out and looking rather sullen. From the look in his eyes, Owlpaw could tell he was searching for something. Seeing the opportunity to do something, she bounced to her paws and padded over to the tom. "Hey Badgerpaw!" She meowed cheerfully to him. "What's up? You look really bored." Her head tilted to the side questioningly as her bright golden eyes shone with curiosity.

Cherrystorm felt a second wave of relief wash over him when the two cats agreed with him that Startoucher peaks sounded like a good place to hunt. Before truly setting out, the tom turned to eye the two other felines. ”Icetail spotted a fox there on one of his patrols a few sunrises back. While this is a hunting patrol be on the look out for any signs of that fox. If we find anything suspicious we report it back.” He looked away from Snakefrost and Fogpath before adding, ”Though you two aren’t tenderpaws, you should know the protocol of this.” Before heading out of camp, Cherrystorm noted how Fogpath was taking the lead. The tom’s tail twitched when the she-cat began to talk to him and Snakefrost as if she were the patrol’s leader. ”Slow down, Fogpath. Remind yourself of who’s actually in charge.” It was a well known fact that Cherrystorm was a sharp-tongued male who didn’t care what others thought of him when it came to his comments and actions. He was taut with others unless it was Sagepaw. Even when his daughter snapped at him he couldn’t bring himself to snap back. But he wasn’t with his daughter right now. He was with Snakefrost and Fogpath, two cats that he didn’t have a single qualm about snapping at.

"What are you doing out her?" She asked in return, a curious glint in her eyes. Hopefully Palefox hadn't kept Falconmist waiting too long; he had taken his sweet time to arrive. Nodding a greeting to the she-cat, he carefully followed suit and wrapped his tail around his paws. He would have sat down, but it wasn't like they would spend a long time talking, right?
"I was unsure if any patrols were out until I caught your scent," the white feline mewed, giving his chest a quick lick. "Too bad I wasn't close to see you while hunting.. I'm sure your skills aren't awful, Falconmist."
When the tabbied Egyptian Mau mentioned that she needed to sharpen up on her skills, he could only wonder if he needed to do the same. He hadn't been on any hunting patrols nor solo hunting trips too. He was skeptical on the fact that one could lose their touch on their hunting skills? Or any skills, for that matter? It would definitely be something he would ponder on longer for, but right now, he didn't have time to seclude himself to his thoughts. The conversation at paw was more important.
"Me?" the long-furred tom asked, lifting his tail-tip briefly. His tone grew hesitant as if he was embarrassed. "Well, I was going to hunt.. but then I got distracted. I'm not too sure how long I've been out here, though it feels like an eternity."

Scorchthroat | Male | Protector
Scorchthroat is a black tom with two white front paws and a white tail tip, and has a big scar on his throat because of a fire when he was an apprentice. He is bigger than usual, so he is more clumsy and loud. He has a short temper when people are taking too long, but otherwise he is more of an easygoing cat. More serious than other inexperienced warriors because he found out the hard way when it is good to be serious. Expect him more to not go on hunting patrols because he cannot stalk as well as most cats from his bulky size, but the good thing is he can take hits well because of his short, thick fur. Bisexual

Ospreypaw watched with wonder as Sagepaw slunk off into the forest, seeing as she tracked the warbler and got ready to pounce. He nearly blew his cover with an enthusiastic call of “Good job!” before it was over, but instead he just vibrated with excitement and let out the sound when she finally caught it. “You did so well!” His eyes were sparkling with admiration- something vaguely akin to hero worship, if Amberstep had been asked to put a name on it. He obviously admired her, not as a crush but certainly as a friend and a great hunter. "I would have messed that up,” he sighed, and Amberstep’s nose twitched. She looked down at him almost curiously. He had done so well before- was his self esteem lowering so he could praise Sagepaw? “Nonsense, you did wonderful,” she said briskly before turning to the three of them. “Let’s move to another spot. There’s no easy-to-get prey here anymore, and I’m not risking you all by making you three climb into trees. That’s near the end of your tenderpaw training- climbing for both safety, hunting, and attack for you two who will become protectors.”
-
Mistwatcher gave a short smile, dipping his head much lower after they touched noses in deep respect towards his omen-teller. “It is an honor to teach you,” he said with a kind smile. It turned into a dying cough when Honeyteller offered to hold a fern over his head, spluttering to hide his brief alarm. “No- I’d never make you do that, Honeyteller! We can head out now. It’s still not too bad a storm-“ it was as bad as it was a moment ago, which meant he would be soaked not even ten fox-lengths ahead- “and you would still need to carry the cobwebs. We should go now.” He picked up a good amount of the cobwebs- just over half- and strode out of the hollowed log before he could stop himself, willing his body not to run back when he felt the rain. “It doesn’t seem like it’ll go towards camp,” he called out. “Just passing over this half of the territory.”
-
Ember grumbled as she left, curling up on top of the log now to look over his new territory- the clearing. It was a pretty nice clearing, all considered. A good amount of prey, many places to put nests, and no bothers other than the horrible she-cat that had just tried to provoke him. His tail swished back and forth as he contemplated giving her a scar to remember him by but he stopped. That was a long time ago- when Ember used to do that- and those were his darker days, even if he was still as grumpy and rude.

At the mention of a fox, Snakefrost couldn't help but flex his claws, almost involuntarily. No cat could deny how dangerous they could be, especially if there was a family of them. Fogpath stopped in her tracks and meowed, "Fox?!" Digging her claws in the ground, she continued. "I swear if I see a fox we are giving it a piece of our mind!" But pressed her ears against her head in slight embarrassment when her brother gave her a slight glare. She could be so oblivious to danger, he was surprised she hadn't picked a fight with a coyote yet. And when Cherrystorm asked her to step back, she only then got further embarassed. "Right, sorry..." She trailed off before walking back to stand beside Snakefrost. "Dang, my bad, no need to b-" She mumbled under her breath before getting a cuff over the ear from the dark brown tom beside her. "Hey!" She said before shaking out her fur and glaring at him. "Right. Startoucher peaks, hunting, look out for foxes. Got it. We ready to go now?" She said, shifting her weight and flicking her tail in anticipation.

The perfect opportunity stood right in front of Badgerpaw; it was like a miracle or a wish come true. This was his chance and he didn't even have to work for it! It was too perfect.. one could say it was too good to be true, but to him... it was all that he needed to have a bit of fun today. And the snowshoe cat didn't even feel a bit of guilt for the she-cat before him. After all, she was the one to fall into the trap, not him.
Brightening up, the tenderpaw flicked his dark colored tail in greeting, his blue eyes meeting Owlpaw's golden ones. "Hey there, Owlpaw! I almost didn't see you there," he greeted, carefully moving out of the entrance of the tenderpaw's den. "Not much, really.. I haven't done a thing all day and it's draining. What about you? I bet you've had a better day than me."- - [ such a short post, i apologize ;n; ]

Scorchthroat | Male | Protector Scorchthroat is a black tom with two white front paws and a white tail tip, and has a big scar on his throat because of a fire when he was an apprentice. Bisexual Accepted and added! c: gonna go reply to everybody real quick and then head to bed uwu

Perhaps the most difficult thing for Sagepaw to catch was squirrels. She had yet to truly learn how to climb trees to catch the wily creatures. If they were on the ground they were not that big of a problem, just like birds were, but once they were in the trees that was when the going got tough. Sagepaw had tried to climb a tree once before, but Quietbreeze had stopped her before she could get too high up. With pride still dancing in her eyes, Sagepaw lay down her catch. Her tail shot straight up in the air and her chest fur puffed out. ”Oh, Ospreypaw, you would have caught that bird, too!” She exclaimed with a good-natured purr. ”Did you see yourself catch that mouse? It was amazing.” When Amberstep meowed out her own sentiments on Ospreypaw’s abilities, Sagepaw nodded. The elite was right to praise the only tom on the patrol. Even if he didn’t see it, and Sagepaw was going to try and get him to see it one day, the brown tomcat was certainly a wonderful hunter despite being a healer.

This felt almost as if she were becoming a tenderpaw all over again. It was a nice feeling, though, a feeling that brought her back to a much simpler day when she didn’t have to worry about an entire Clan. The moment didn’t last long though as Mistwatcher soon spluttered out a hefty cough that turned into something like dry silence. For a moment Honeyteller was frightened that she had done or said something to frighten the tomcat. But soon enough she realized that he was simply finding some sort of astonished humor in her fern suggestion. ”Are you sure? If you’re not ready to leave yet, we don’t have to.” The rain wasn’t just pouring down, but the rain was certainly a decent shower. Honeyteller was sure that Mistwatcher would be soaked if he went out in that rain. Apparently, though, it seemed as if the tomcat would not be deterred from his mission to get back to camp. Making sure her cobweb was well and gathered close to her, Honeyteller followed Mistwatcher out of the hollowed log and into the rain. Instantly the white she-cat felt herself relax as the drops fell upon her head and back. ”You’re right,” she called to the tom after she had scanned the skies. The gray clouds seemed thin but not stretched out over the entire territory. ”We’ll be out of the rain soon enough.” While she could have stayed in the rain all day, Honeyteller wanted to make sure Mistwatcher got to camp so he could dry off and not have to deal with a heavily soaked pelt.

While it was nice to see that Fogpath had enthusiasm and energy, it wasn’t the type of attitude Cherrystorm wanted to deal with. Hardly ever did he want to deal with cats such as the she-cat. The ginger tabby let out a sigh, rolling his eyes at the female’s comment. ”If it comes down to it we’ll fight it off, but hopefully we won’t even have to get close to the darn thing. If we even run across a fox. It was days ago when it was spotted. If anything it’s out of the territory by now.” Hopefully the orange-furred creature had left the territory by now. After Icetail’s patrol had battled the fox a few days ago the animal might have finally decided it wasn’t worth it to stay near the mountains. At least not on this side of the mountains. Cherrystorm said no more as Fogpath took her place behind him. He flicked his tail, angling his ears toward her direction. He listened to her, giving her a few good moments before he spoke up. ”We are.” With a flick of his tail he motioned for the two cats to follow him as he finally made his way out of camp and into the wooded area around the camp.

Back in camp Icetail was crouched near the fresh-kill pile. He was currently making a meal out of a small squirrel that had recently been caught by his own claws; earlier that morning, right before dawn, he had took a quick stroll around, just to check things out. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and he had been able to catch himself some breakfast. He was taking this time - after setting out hunting patrols - to eat his meal. Perhaps later he would go out and do something worth his time, worth the Clan’s time. Maybe he could even take out another patrol and lead it in the afternoon. Some more hunting while the prey was out would certainly do well for a growing Clan. Especially for a Clan that had a weak leader, an omen-teller that shouldn’t be.

After waking up from a nap, Scorchthroat headed out into the clearing to get food. It was raining, but his coat could keep the rain out. He fetched a mouse from the pile headed over to a shaded spot in the clearing and sat down and started to eat. After he ate he cleaned himself, wondering whether to try to hunt. He ended up going out to hunt. It had stopped raining but the forest was soaking wet. He spotted a mouse nibbling on a seed. He went into a hunting crouch, leaped and just barely managed to snap its neck. Once he got back into the camp, he muttered a greeting to Icetail before dropping his mouse on the freshkill pile, and decided to take a short rest until the moon rised.
