right now there's a mix between cats being on patrol and being in camp
Sagepaw and Amberstep just ran into a fox and are currently recovering in the healers' den

ospreypaw & honeyteller ;; camp
Ospreypaw startled when Honeyteller slumped over, worriedly staring at her with every inch of his body screaming of nerves. Her question only made him shuffle around, eyes never meeting hers. “Um,” he started- not a very strong start, but he had never been a strong-willed cat to begin with- “Mistwatcher hasn’t told me, but he looks extremely worried about it, and, uh, I saw her before I went out. There are many smaller scratches, but…the fox got her badly. There are quite a few deep wounds and even a bite that did a lot of damage.”
He shuffled around, eyes staring at the ground in an attempt to feel less pressure when he told her the next bit. “She’ll. She’ll be out for a while. I’m pretty sure she won’t join the Givers, not even close, but…yeah. Mistwatcher was getting poppy seeds while I left. I think after we talk with her, she’ll need to rest for a long while. I don’t doubt that a healer will need to be with her nearly all the time for a day or two in shifts.”
Ospreypaw turned to look at the den, shaking a bit now. “Um, we should go there. Yeah.”

There wasn’t anything wrong with Honeyteller, per se, not in a sense that many cats would perhaps take it. The tom had never spoken to another cat about this before, but Mothlight was certainly the cat he could spill out his thoughts and secrets. His tail twitched in something like nervousness. Icetail wasn’t a cat to get nervous, not exactly. He was ambitious and sharp-tongued, a strict leader. Being nervous wasn’t supposed to be part of his resume. But around Mothlight, well, Icetail felt like he could show all sorts of odd emotions. The white tom let out a slow sigh. He glanced over at Mothlight for a moment, letting the sight of the tortoiseshell calm him down. His nerves steeled and calmed, his heart not beating half as fast as it had been a moment ago. His heartbeat had sped up? He hadn’t even realized that until it had calmed down. Had he been worried about how the she-cat would see him after this? Of course he was. Mothlight’s opinion on him meant quite a lot, more than it probably should. Finally, he found his voice. ”I know the code about star-kissed cats, but sometimes I wonder if she truly has the personality to lead a Clan.” His words came out steady, firm. Amber eyes met the yellow-green eyes of the black and ginger she-cat. How would she react? How would she feel? It was only a matter of time before he knew what Mothlight would say to this.

Amberstep was okay. That was everything Honeyteller needed to know - she was okay. She would live. Amberstep was an important cat to the Clan, not only because she was an elite, but because she was a proactive member of GroundClan. She was a fine hunter, an amazing fighter... everything a Clan cat needed to be to survive in the wild. ”I’m glad to hear she’s okay. I expected her not being able to do much in these next few days, but I’m glad to hear she won’t be joining the Givers.” Honeyteller let out a sigh and closed her eyes for a moment as if relaxing even further. After a moment the she-cat pushed herself back up to her paws. She shook out her fur. ”Take the lead, young one,” the omen-teller mewed gently. She smiled down at the brown tomcat with relief. Amberstep was going to be okay, she thought again. The scarred she-cat was going to have to be down and out for a while, but that would be just fine. As long as Amberstep healed then everything would just be fine. |

Mothlight shifted her weight, doing her best to get comfortable. She had a feeling she would be here with Icetail for a while, not that she minded, but crouching in front of a pice of prey wasn't the most comfortable position. The tortoiseshell she-cat tucked her front paws under her chest, back legs against the cool ground. She flicked her tail against the ground as Icetail sighed. The white tom never showed any emotion that could be perceived as weak, so this made Mothlight listen intently. Whatever the tom was thinking bout was obviously bothering him, and Mothlight wanted to find out what it was so she could help him.
"What do you think is wrong with it?" Mothlight asked, eager to get to know Icetail's true feelings about the subject. She wasn't eager to know for the drama it may involved, but simply because Icetail meant a lot to her and she didn't want to see him so upset over something that could possibly be helped. "Do you think she's too nice?" If there was one thing about Honeyteller, it was that she was a kind she-cat. Not that that was a bad thing, of course, but to some it might be shown as a sign of weakness. Mothlight had always thought of Honeyteller to be an exceptional omen-teller, but now wasn't the time to give her personal feelings on the matter. This was about Icetail.

[ since she's pan and i'm not sure if you can see her more with a she-cat or tom i'm just gonna suggest which cat of mine i think she'd fit best with yolo
i think she and soothawk could be cute?? like soot is quiet and stuff and so is dandelion and while that sometimes clashes i think they'd be cute and he could possibly bring her out of her shell some and he'd probably super protective over her

Leafbriar had been absent for most of the day, searching for various herbs that the healer den had been low on. Thornstep had accompanied her, and the two enjoyed each other's company in companionable silence. Although Thornstep was a talkative young tom, he knew Leafbriar would enjoy silence more than anything, especially when she was working on something important. He was all about pleasing the she-cats.
"What is this? Is this any use?" Thornstep inquired, poking at a miscellaneous weed with the tip of one paw.
With a soft sigh, Leafbriar stepped around him. "No." She answered simply, casting him an exasperated glance. The tom remained silent after that, and Leafbriar willingly excepted the silence. Quite some time passed by before she found what she had been searching for.
"In order to gather cobwebs, you need to think like a spider. Where would the tastiest morsels be?" She explained to the young tom, scooping up a pawful wedged in between two large rocks. "And cobwebs are old, spider webs that are no longer used by spiders." Although she was certain almost anyone in the clan would know this, it was nice to explain it to someone. She had always hoped she would be a mentor one day, and Thornstep was tolerant enough for her practice attempts. He merely grunted, helping her scoop up the remainder that was left.
After gathering a plentiful amount of cobwebs, they headed back towards the camp, always alert for the numerous amount of predators that resided in their territory.
Nearing the camp, Thornstep's ear swivelled forward. "Did you hear that? Hurry, get inside!" He hissed through the mound of cobwebs laced around his muzzle. Leafbriar was quick to oblige and quickly slipped into the welcoming darkness. Slipping into the healer's den, Leafbriar abruptly halted, causing Thornstep to bump into her.
"What happened?" Leafbriar inquired, shocked by the sight in front of her.

omg she could have like a crush on him or something but know that he would never love her lmao
I really kind of want dark to be not necessarily a bad character, but like...really intense and ambitious if that makes sense
she should have a romance or something and somehow turns bitter
