Forest nodded, silent at first. "That's understandable." He meowed finally after thinking about the horrors of not talking. Forest didn't mind being silent but once he opened his mouth he couldn't close it. Quietsong is so strong. I admire her for that.

Smokefoot; Giving a gentle purr of amusement, he flicked the she-cat with his tail. "Adventures are always fun. Danger is just a little factor. We could take on the fox if we really tried," He meowed with pride and a joking attitude laced in his voice. "Tracking it down shouldn't be hard. We might get into a fight if it has kits, though. That would be more exciting." He pointed out. Eating his squirrel , he looked at her curiously. He hadn't really noticed that she wasn't eating, but assumed it was because they were talking.
Windwhisper; "That must be really awful. I'm sorry." She meowed, placing a tail on her friend's shoulder gently. She gave a sympathetic smile, staring at her sweetly. "I can always help if you need me to," Windwhisper offered. She had spent her whole life cleaning mud. After all, her whole life was in RiverClan. Even as a kit, she found herself drowned in mud, even if it was from her father returning from a hunt. She used to squeal every time he returned, and despite the fact that he could be soaking wet or covered in mud, she'd still press against him. Even so... she never quite got used to it.
Quietsong; She gave a gentle nod of agreement. "I learned how to communicate with cats from beyond words... Which ha been the most amazing part of being mute. Connecting with Smokefoot on a different level than just brother-sister... Talking to silent..." Her voice began to fall quiet, as they were nearing camp. Her posture became less defined, and she seemed to resort to looking smaller than other cats. Maybe so they wouldn't pay attention to her, or see her as less so she wouldn't have to even try to engage in 'conversation.'

Shadedfur picked her head up quickly, "woah. Aw, now I kind of hope it will!" She said while imagining the mother fox with three little young ones running around. "Great. Now you put that expectation in my head!" She teased. Shadedfur then sighed only prodding at her food. She was working her way up to eating the second bite.
Echoeyes smiled, "thanks for the offer and all. But this stuff is like plaster. It won come out even if I had five cats helping me," she joked. "I normally just wade in the water until it gets looser. You get used to it though," she meowed. By now, Echoeyes could see the camp from here. She quickened her pace, eager to get back.

"I'll try to learn to do that. So you don't have to talk or anything." Forest murmured, noticing they were almost to camp.

Smokefoot; Sighing gently, he stared at the other cat with weary eyes. Trying to chew just a little bit faster, he finally swallowed and allowed himself to speak once again. "Oi, don't get your hopes up. Besides, we wouldn't want it to have kits... We might have to drive a mother and it's children away from the only home they've ever known." Giving a pause, he felt a wave of sorrow overcome him. He knew how it felt. "And no matter if they're a two-leg, fox, bear, badger, cat or anything else, I don't think anything truly deserves to feel like that. But if it's alone..." The very ends of his lips began to curl into a smile as he thought of the option. It was definitely better. "We can drive it out without any sort of remorse."
Windwhisper; Giving a gentle nod, she began to trot next to her friend. "Got it." The taste of mud still lingered in her mouth, making Echoeye's decline of the offer even better for her. She awkwardly tried to swallow, but found herself nearly gagging. Just... Eat something delicious when you get back. She thought to herself, remembering little bits of advice she had learned through the years. As camp neared, she kept pace with Echoeyes. But then she sped up a little bit, the taste really starting to get to her. A fish would be a nice replacement to it, anyways, and they were her favorite. Particularly trout, but she wasn't picky.
Quietsong; Giving a quiet nod, she lowered her head gently. Staying close to him, she felt her own fur brush against his. Pressing against him for a comfort sort of thing, Quietsong walked into camp. She noticed the cats that looked at her first, and simply avoided eye contact with them, hoping not to start any sort of conversation. Her introverted personality started to really shine here, when she was back with her clan mates. Her eyes scanned the area, looking for her brother instinctively. However, she stayed close to Forest in the process, always aware that she was with him.

Shadedfur purred, feeling a pang of guilt. No, they chose to leave! She thought to herself. Shadedfur's pupils went into a slight slit. "Agreed. I've never seen a fox like that before. Only badgers and other cats," she said with a slight embrassed laugh.
Echoeyes gave a slight laugh, seeing her gag, "you okay? I hate the taste of mud too." Echoeyes shooter her fur out before entering the camp. She seemed to emdietly settle back in.

Smokefoot; Nodding slowly, his mind turned to badgers. He hadn't seen one, but he had heard about them in stories. He once saw a large cat that he thought was a badger, and put the camp into a frenzy for a day. That was, until, they learned it was just a ShadowClan cat on the border. One long talk with Snowstar later along with a punishment and he was on his way again. "You've seen a badger?" He questioned curiously, eyes sparkling with curiosity. "I've never seen one! What'd it look like? How 'd it act? Tell me everything." He mewed, clearly excited to learn about what a badger actually was. All he knew was that they were a large threat.
Windwhisper; "Yes, I'm fine... The aftertaste really doesn't help. And neither does swallowing..." She gave a light chuckle, looking around the camp before standing taller. She wanted to maintain proper posture as to make her seem important or bold. It was just a little trick she had learned about keeping one's head up. Windwhisper's eyes and nose immediately went to the fresh-kill pile. "I'll just eat a fish or something. It'll mask the taste, at least until I get into another situation with mud." Pausing, she muttered, mostly to herself,"You'd think I'd be used to it by now but no."

Shadedfur sighed and purred while looking down in thought, "well," she started, "for starters they're very big and monsterous creatures. They're about the soze of two cats stacked atop eachother! Maybe even three! They're grey, with a black stripe going down its back and covering it face, plus they have little beaty eyes," Shadedfur said with a shudder. "They're extremely noisy. It seems they only depend on their brute strength to catch prey or attack enemies. They're scary and make these loud grunts and snuffs along with some short squeels and barks. It was completely mouse brained, but it had a heart colder ice with a thirst for blood. I'm lucky I escape that mangy creature alive!" She explained.
Echoeyes trotted over to her sister who was eating a squirrel. She took a deep breath before laying next to the Red and brown she cat and bowed her head. Redwing then smiled and bowed back before saying something with worry in her face. Echoeyes laughed and shook herself off before rubbing her head against her sister's cheek happily. The two looked like polar opposites. Like fire and ice.

Smokefoot; Awe joined Smokefoot's eyes as he listened to her speak about badgers. He had heard that they were dangerous and huge, but he didn't know they were that big. Not to mention that they sounded really dangerous. But then again, sometimes danger was intriguing. And this time, it was. Because it was unknown danger, but with many cats did know how to defeat them. Part of him wanted to see one, but he knew that seeing a badger would be extremely dangerous. Hence he resorted to just listening to her describe one. "They sound awful," He responded, flicking his tail. "Really dangerous, too. Have you fought one?" He asked, hoping the answer was no for her safety.
Windwhisper; Seeing her friend leave, she began to walk to the fresh kill pile. Her strides made it so it didn't take her a very long time to get there. She licked her lips slightly, poking her nose through the pile to see what they had. She thought she had scented trout, but wasn't necessarily sure. Her stomach rumbled gently, as she grabbed a smaller fish. Giving a slight chuckle, she put the fish down and instead picked up a larger one and settled down with it. Biting into it, she let the flavour sink into her mouth and replace the muddy taste. A purr erupted from her throat as it the taste melted away.
Quietsong; She nodded slowly, looking around the camp. She began to walk towards the warrior's den, taking a long path around other cats. She found herself walking over to her nest, before pausing. Staring around at the other warriors, she began to look for another empty nest for him. She walked to her nest, lying in it and motioning him over. She gently poked the nest beside her.

Shadedfur shook her head, "thankfully, no. Well..kind of. I was only a very younge kit. Like, two or three weeks old. I used to live as a rogue with my mother and my my mother's mother." She explained, "One day we were playing in the yard when my grandma ran over and scooped us up with an angery badger after her. She called to my mother and she got us to saftey. The two tried to fight the monster off, but it resulted with my grandmother's death, and my mother's fierce leg wounds that eventually led to her death years later as well," she finished. "Every cat wants to see a badger for themselves, and yes it's super cool and all, but once you do meet one you're most likely to die."
Echoeyes and Redwing continued their conversation before Echoeyes pointed with her tail towards Windwhisper while saying something with a smile on her face. Redwing responded with a nod and got up, aprouching the silver she. "Hello," she said with a sweet, smooth tone. It was much calmer and more mature than her younger sisters. The she cat had a kind, energetic, and shy voice with a bit of a sly and smart tone to it.

Smokefoot; His eyes grew. It was as if she had almost read his mind. He wanted to see one so badly now, but all of that melted away as she told the story. It had cost cats' lives. And he didn't want to lose his, he still had a lot left to live for. Nodding quickly after she was done, he stared at her with now very focused and intense eyes. "Got it. You knew what I was thinking, I was starting to want to see a badger..." He sighed, realizing what he had thought about wasn't very smart at all. His need for life was much greater than his want to see a badger. "That feeling's gone. I'm so sorry about your grandmother. My condolences..." He meowed quietly, bowing his head in respect.
Windwhisper; Hearing the voice from beside her, she looked over, eyes glimmering in the light. Curiosity joined into the pools of pastel blue. The tone obviously wasn't Echoeyes' which was her first thought. She couldn't make the connection to the siblings at all through looks, and how they held themselves. Swallowing the fish she had in her mouth, she put her own shoulders back and stood up straight to face the other she-cat. "Hello," She greeted warmly, giving a small smile to Redwing. Since she had approached her, she didn't give any other replies. She wanted to know her reasoning for coming over, but that was just out of curiosity. She was happy to meet another cat, and be friendly towards them as well.
(( Sorry for the late reply!! ))

Smiling, Forest padded next to Quietsong and settled down into the nest beside her. It smelled faintly of cat but he didn't question it. Instead he stretched his limbs and began to wash himself thoroughly.

Shadedfur shook her head and let out a grunt, "good. Badgers are beasts who kill even the strongest of warriors," she said, "foxes and eagles are one thing, but predators like badgers and mountain lions are another," she said in a very stern tone. Shadedfur then took a moment to nudge her food closer to her before letting out a purr, "it's alright. She was very old, yet she caught as if she were a well trained young adult. She left behind a legacy in my eyes. One I have to look up to," she then faced her friend eyes wide with wonder and confidence, "you know?" She asked in an almost unnatural bubbly tone.
Redwing bowed her head respectfully as she sat and tucked her tail around her neatly, "Echoeyes said you've become friends," she began. She then glances over at Echoeyes eating a fish happily before turning back towards Windwhisper and giving a low, warning growl, "look. I know that she's different. But if you treat her like she is, or hurt her in any way, shape, or form so help me I'll prouncd in you!" Redwing then straightened up and gave a loud purr as her sister came to sit next to her. "You have a delightful friend," she said sweetly while closing her eyes.

Smokefoot; Staring at her with large eyes, he wondered about her tone. He knew that sometimes the thought of death could create an odd state of denial; Maybe hysteria. However, it was quite a long time ago. Something like that surely couldn't have a lasting affect like that. Although he was unsure, he thought back to his parents. Both killed by not dangerous, lumbering creatures. Thinking back, he did think of them as equally terrifying. Smokefoot nodded quickly. "Yeah, I got it. I understand." His parents were both brave to stand up to rouges. He remembered little moments with them, and bigger ones with them as well. They were very happy cats, and determined as well. His mother was calm and collected, much like his sister. But his father was bold, and took pleasure in the little things in life. They were both deeply in love with each other. Smokefoot was kind of relieved that they had passed at the same time; If they had gone at different times, both would've been heartbroken and moped for a very long time. Shaking his head to clear his head, he stared at Shadedfur with bright eyes again, focusing back on reality and her.
Windwhisper; Her eyes sharpened. She wasn't used to threats, not at all. Windwhisper hadn't thought of Echoeyes as any differently. She was startled so much that she hardly noticed the new appearance of another cat. Disbelief flooded her senses momentarily as she stared at Redwing. Refusing to let her moment of fear show, she looked down at the ground momentarily. Noticing some cat had talked, she simply looked at the ground but straightened her back once more.
Quietsong; Running a paw over her head, she felt her eyes drooping. It had been a long day, and with the falling of night, her body was naturally set to a stage of sleep. It began to curl into a ball to protect her from other things that could potentially attack her during her rest. Stopping it, she stared at Forest with questioning eyes. She wasn't sure if he was alright with her going to sleep yet. Her paw was still atop her head, with her tail curled around her. She would put the paw down once she knew it was okay to go to bed.

Shadedfur looked back at the tom with soft eyes. Shadedfur felt a flutter in her stomach for a split second. Shadedfur let out a slight laugh as she looked away, quickly taking a bite of her food, her pelt growing hot. Shadedfur swallowed and shook herself off before looking back at Smokefoot, "what?" She asked, "is there something on your mind?" She asked. Shadedfur knew that look all to well from her four, no, two other siblings.
Echoeyes stepped forward a bit, leaning down to look at Windwhisper. "Is everything all right?" She asked in a happy, yet worried voice. "D-did my sister say anything hurtful?" Echoeyes then looked back at he sister with sharp eyes, "she's been known for doing that lately," she said with her eyes glued to Redwing.
Redwing sighed, "I didn't say anything hurtful. Well, at least not meaningful. She probably just took something I said wrong," she then looked at Windwhisper, "isn't that right?"

Smokefoot; "Huh?" He asked, blinking away confusion. He had obviously still been a little spaced off, but he had heard what she said. "Oh. Yeah, I'm good!" He meowed, flicking his paw and tail in momentary dismissal. He gave a charming smile, eyes glowing happily. He had pushed away the remembrance of his parents, instead, focused on Shadedfur and their conversation once more. He quite liked talking to her; It was easy and quick. He felt more at home, and he didn't even need his sister beside him to have that feeling with her. "I mean, I was just spacing off. Sorry about that, I got up early," He admitted, giving a chuckle of embarrassment. "Considering I didn't do very much, that wasn't really my best plan."
Windwhisper; Nodding slowly, her eyes narrowed into slits for a moment before returning to their warm gaze. Sitting up straight, she regained her pleasing overall appearance. "It's alright. The tone was alarming, but I'm sure she didn't mean to use a tone such as that." She looked at Redwing, a little bit of an accusing tone sparking on the 'sure' part of her sentence. "It's really nothing." She waved her tail in dismissal of the topic quickly, eager to ditch the thought of the minor threat. She gave a happy smile, pushing her thoughts off to the side. Her protectiveness of her own honor was making her paws itch with the need to spill about what she had said to her. However, she didn't want to hurt her relationship with Echoeyes. There was nothing that was worth as much as that, not even her own warrior honor.

Shadedfur let out a laugh, "I know the feeling," she said with a sarcastic eye roll. She then flicked her tail, "I mean. I tell myself I'm gonna go to bed early. But then I always somehow finding myself on either a night guard, or on a night patrol," she said with a something that sounded like a huff and purr at the same time. Shadedfur then took another bite of her meal, before picking it up and discarding off it in a small pile of the eaten portion of the clans meals.
Redwing looked at Windwhisper with a blank stare. maybe she had been to threatening. Oh well, at least she knows what will come of her if she messes with her little sister! Redwing then blinked and shook her pelt out, realizing that she'd been spacing out.
Echoeyes smiled, "alright. But if she does you know who to talk to," she said jokingly while pumping her sister with her back flank. Redwing only responded with a snuffle.
Echoeyes then straightened up, "So. Now that we have that cleared up. Just in case, Windwhisper, this is Redwing. Redwing, Windwhisper,"

Smokefoot; An uncontrollable purr erupted from his throat, amusement laced in it. The tomcat's eyes shined happily. He could completely relate to the topic. He never really had a good sense of time management, so was usually tired like that. Laughing, he responded quickly. "I've totally done that! I'm not that great at managing how I spend my time, either. So I can't say I'm the best at getting a good night's sleep." He paused. "But sometimes, naps are good during the day. In the sun. It feels nice against my fur..." Smokefoot admitted, following her with his own prey--Or lack of. Gently placing it down, he muttered thanks to Starclan for giving him such a wonderful meal.
Windwhisper; Dipping her head respectfully, she gave a quick greeting of, "It's a pleasure to meet you." She meowed, giving a pleasurable, respective tone to greet the cat. Obviously she didn't want to get into any fights or get on Redwing's bad side. At this point, she knew that one wrong turn and one fight with Echoeyes would mean she'd have a cat turned against her. And Windwhisper really didn't want that to happen. She quite liked Echoeyes, and really wanted to make a good impression on the cats closest to her. So, she pushed away any negative feelings towards Redwing and focused more on the pleasant thoughts.
Quietsong; Nodding, she gave a small smile before completely curling up. Her paw fell over her eyes, and the tip of her tail was lying on her paws. In this position, she was a small ball that kept her stomach more beneath her. While under the rouge's control, she had learned to use this position so it would hurt less if she was shoved awake at night. Since she had been doing it for so many moons, it eventually became practice to do so.

Shadedfur closed her eyes and took a deep breath, thanking starclan in her head. She then took a moment to look at the forest thoughtfully, "Smokefoot," the dark grey she cat started, "what happens if a predator find our camp?" She asked out of wonder. "Sorry for changing the subject, but ever since if joined we've always been at peace in camp. What happens or something like that fox find out camp." Shadedfur then stopped and moved closer to Smokefoot and looked at him, "sorry. Just you've been around longer and.."
Redwing didn't bow at first, she only tilted her ears back and glanced down. It was only when Echoeyes gave her stern glance that she bowed.
"I'll be finishing my fish before it become crowfood," she said quietly before trotting off.
"So sorry about that. My sister can act like a kit sometimes."
((mind if I jump in with you Red?
Lightningfoot met his younger brother who was eating a shrew in a shady corner of the camp. Lightningfoot sighed as he realized his brother wasn't actually eating the piece of prey, "if you're not gonna eat it you should probably bring it back," he said teasingly.
Windrunner looked up at his older brother, a light yellow and orange short haired tabby tom with amber eyes, "I'll eat it, Lightningfoot," he said while tilting his ears back, "I'm just..thinking."
lightningfoot cocked his head head before sitting across from the white tabby tom with grey stripes and blue hazel eyes. "Well what are you thinking about? And why are you so wet?" He asked, "there's not a river for over a mile." Windrunner didn't answer. "You weren't. Windrunner! Just because Echoeyes and Redwing are our sisters doesn't mean you can visit them whenever!" He said sternly. windrunner looked away. "Look. Just don't do that again. Now, I'm volunteering us to help with our own clan." With that, lighteningfoot turned and trotted away.
Lightningfoot presented himself to the two cats, Redclaw and Flamepelt with a respectful bow. "Redclaw, my brother and I would like to go on a patrol. And I would volunteer myself to help with its the fox patrol in the morning," he said quickly.
