Smokefoot; "Talk about it..." He followed her shortly. "I can't wait to chase it off, that'll relieve some stress," Smokefoot meowed, trotting into camp. Staring around at his clan mates, his eyes scanned for the black and white pelt of Snowstar. Figuring that she was most likely in her den, he began walking over. He quickly tried to fix his fur, and his posture. To face his leader was a bigger task. Sure, Snowstar was a very nice and understanding leader. But for some reason, Smokefoot was always hesitant when talking to her. Her position scared him slightly.
Windwhisper; "It really is going to be!" Windwhisper said, staring up at her. "No, it's alright." She stood, shaking off her pelt once more. She flicked her tail. "And don't worry about the patrol. I won't tell any cat, your secret's safe with me!" She had a playful tone, an amused purr in the back of her throat. "It's not like we're in a rush, anyways. If we're late getting back to camp, we could stop and catch a few fish. And then say we were just hunting." Windwhisper suggested. "No one needs to know."

Forest let out a small sigh of happiness. "This is so comfortable." He murmured half to himself.

Shadedfur smiled, "don't stress about your look, Smokefoot." Shadedfur then gave him a slight glance while nudging him playfully, "you look fine the way you are."
Echoeyes smiled, tilting her head a bit, "thanks," she purred. Echoeyes then got up, "but let's not make that be reality," Echoeyes began to trot back into the woods, "c'mon!"

Smokefoot; He looked at her, sighing slightly. Flicking his tail, he looked at Snowstar's den. "Thanks. But I just really don't want to appear in front of such an important cat with my fur sticking up everywhere. You get it, right?" Smokefoot asked, his eyes big now.
Windwhisper; "Agreed," She meowed, following her friend shortly. The lengthy she-cat made long strides instead of short steps, her tail following shortly. Perking her ears, she listened for any case of trespassers. Getting nothing, Windwhisper nodded shortly. Not like she thought she could take another patrol, but she did think she could take on one cat. Besides, she had Echoeyes with her. What could possibly go wrong?
Quietsong; She nodded slowly. Quietsong seemed to be falling asleep on the spot, however, was keeping herself awake. Listening to Forest talk was slightly calming to her, and the warmth didn't help with her sleepiness. However, she was happy and that's what mattered at that moment.

Forest's eyes remained closed as he fought off sleep. "Don't let me fall asleep." He whispered almost soundlessly.

Quietsong; She didn't even hear him at that point, silence falling over her. Her chest slowly rose and fell, and Quietsong was mostly asleep. She was still in one of the first stages, but she wasn't able to control being awake anymore.

Forest began to snore softly even though he had tried to stay awake. But this was his home and where he was most comfortable.

Quietsong; She shifted closer in her sleep, but no noises escaping her. She stayed completely quiet, and seemed almost dead. Unless really focusing on the rise and fall of her stomach, Quietsong could've passed for a cat that had eaten poison.

Forest jumped up, having woken up from a nightmare. He watched as his baby brother and sister got ripped apart by vicious wild dog-like creatures. They had pointy ears and narrow snouts and were a reddish-gray in color. Pushing away the memory, Forest looked over to Quietsong. "I'm sorry to disturb you. I just had a nightmare. No big deal." But it IS a big deal! My siblings are dead and I ran and now I don't know where my family is and if I even have family anymore. Forest smiled at his companion and tried to hide the haunted look in his eyes.

She walked up near Scowstar's den before hesitating a bit. She looked at Smokefoot, "alright. I'm starting to get what you mean," she said quietly. It was at that moment she relized that she hadn't really met Snowstar and talked to her one on one, or even two on two for that matter! Echoeyes elegantly jumped from rock to rock. She looked around as if she was completely oblivious to her body, though from time to time she did look down and focus on her landing, balance, and jump. Echoeyes's tail followed her as if it were a feather. Her strong legs somehow able to grip on the mossy rocks.

Smokefoot; The tom nodded, taking a deep breath. "It's kind of scary. I know she's amazing and kind, but... Just meeting our leader can be kind of scary sometimes." Smokefoot sighed out the deep breath. "Alright... Can you do the talking? You found the fox, of course... But if you don't want to, I totally understand." He had talked to Snowstar on multiple occasions, for both himself and Quietsong.
Windwhisper; The tall cat looked around. "I think everything's clear. That's nice." Windwhisper sighed out her worries about being attacked. She looked at Echoeyes fondly, following her happily.
Quietsong; She yawned, rubbing on her eyes with the paw that was over them. Stretching her legs, she looked at him as he explained. Quietsong stared at him with stern eyes for a second before blinking and they returned to normal. She shook her head, and nudged him to go on. She sat down, wrapping her tail around and leaving it to lie on her paws. She nodded her head halfway to tell him to talk. Nightmares are a big deal. They show your worst fears; They show your weak points and what needs to be improved on. Nightmares go much farther than fear shows.

"Do you want to know about my nightmare?" Forest asked, cocking his head. Quietsong had nodded her head but he still wasn't completely sure what all her gestures meant.

Quietsong; She nodded quickly, the tip of her tail twitching in anticipation. The Siamese looked at him with her large, tired eyes which glowed with curiosity. They were a gentle shade of blue, that were very much like the sky before a storm. There were little specks of grey, but they weren't as noticeable. Unless a cat got really close to her and studied her eyes for a while, they wouldn't be that noticeable. But she did like to observe cat's eyes, for the reason that the emotion showed in them. Not to mention Quietsong really did love what eyes looked like. It was one of her many secrets.

"Alright." Forest took a deep breath, secretly reluctant to share his nightmare because it had to do with his past. But he trusted Quietsong so he shoved down the negative feelings. "It was a bad piece of my past that keeps repeating in my head over and over." He began, unable to meet Quietsong's gaze. "These big reddish tan dog-like creatures were after my siblings and I. They had long snouts with pointy teeth that gleamed in the moonlight. These creatures lived near my family and I but usually didn't bother with us. It was a hard newleaf and the wild dogs were starving... I could tell." Images of the beasts flashed through Forest's mind and he closed his eyes tight before reopening them. "I felt bad for them. I was just a little kit and didn't understand the dangers of the other creatures. Besides, they had never bothered us before. So, late at night, my siblings and I left the den with some of our dinner. Wind, my brother, told me it was a bad idea but I knew he felt bad too. But Sparrow... my sister... She was so little and so kind. I vowed to always protect her." Forest's eyes began to water and he felt a tear drip onto his cheek. He sniffled and wiped away the tear quickly as he didn't want Quietsong to see. "Sparrow was in love with the idea of chasing after the wild dogs and offering them food. So we did just that. They knew we were there before we realized we were surrounded and everything is blurry after that. The beasts tore apart my siblings and I still remember their screams. Somehow I got up into a tree and watched as my parents came to find us. All they saw was blood and fur and I think they thought all three of us were dead. I was too scared and guilty to tell them otherwise... Because it was my idea." Forest began to cry, his fur becoming wet with tears. "My father's name was Forestrunner... Maybe he was a Clan cat once. My mother was called Sandra. I named myself after my father when they left. I don't know if they're dead or alive. My old name was Thunder. Like your Clan."

Quietsong; Her own eyes began to tear up, feeling empathy for him. She took a step closer, gently pressing against him to try to comfort the tom. Maybe they're still out there... Maybe they're our clans, and you can see your parents again. They're probably hurting a lot, that would make them feel better. And I'm so sorry, no cat deserves to go through that, especially not you. It'll be okay eventually... Or maybe it never will, and that's okay. Some things you just don't get over. Quietsong hung her head in solitude and respect for the fallen cats, her ears and tail lowered with respect.

[ hi im alive no more strep for me <: ]
"Thank you for listening." Forest whispered, pressing his face into Quietsong's neck. Her warmth soothed him and reminded him of how his mother felt as a little kit. "You're the first one I've ever told that story to."

Quietsong; She nodded slowly, pressing against the tom in hopes she would help make him feel just a little bit better. It's safe with me, your story. Sometimes, its better to talk about things and get it all out. Quietsong thought.
(( Oh no! That sounds terrible. Are you feeling better? ))

Forest smiled at Quietsong. "If you ever want to tell your story I'm here to listen." He paused as if deep in thought. "Sometimes it's better to let things out than keep them in." He meowed, almost echoing the she-cat's thoughts. [ good luck with the competition!! take all the time you need c: And yes, im feeling much better! i got medication so im all clear. im not contagious or anything! Quietsong; Her eyes slowly widened as he said what she was thinking. She didn't even think about the fact that it could apply to her. He had just shared his story to her. Quietsong wasn't sure if it was even appropriate to speak at this point, out of pure respect.

((Sorry I didn't reply! Shadedfur sighed and nodded, "sure," she offered. "Come on." Shadedfur then took a deep breath before entering her den. Shadedfur emedietly bowed her head after she entered. "Snowstar, is now a good time to talk?" She asked. Echoeyes smiled and looked back at Windwhisper. She could smell a faint scent coming from a cat from a different clan....it was...familiar...but, of course, it didn't smell recent.

Quietsong; The words echoed in her head. Did he really not care if she told him in excruciatingly painful detail what had happened? Would the words not scar him as they have scarred her? Opening her mouth would be to speak; They had specifically told her not to do that, or they'd cut off her tongue. A shiver went down her spine. Quietsong stared at the tom, and nodded slowly before her eyes glared downwards. "Some things are worth sharing... Others... Others are hard to voice."
Smokefoot and Snowstar; Snowstar looked up from her nest, standing up. Her look brightened when she saw the two warriors. Nothing had happened since the rouge, and patrols had already been assigned for the day. But she didn't want to leave and have somecat need her, so she stayed put. "Sure thing! What's up?" She asked.
Windwhisper; She continued on with the patrol, still scenting around. Her own nose hadn't scented the cat, and she hadn't noticed any change of expressions in Echoeyes. So naturally, she assumed that the path was clear. Windwhisper did keep an eye on her companion to make sure that she didn't scent anything and not tell her, though.
(( That's alright! ))
(( Oh no! I hate it when things get moved, like, I've already got my schedule cleared out to do this please just let me in. ))

Shadedfur took a step back, thinking about what to say next , "w-we were on a short hunting patrol," Shadedfur then gasped, "we didn't retrieve our catches!" Shadedfur shook herself out, "I'm getting off topic, sorry!" Shadedfur got flustered under pressure, and facing her leader wasn't helping.
Echoeyes trotted ahead faster, parting her jaws and tasting the air, scenting for the mysterious cat. Echoeyes knew she remembered the scent from somewhere.

Snowstar and Smokefoot; Smokefoot felt his heart beating against his chest. They hadn't retrieved their prey! What could they have been thinking? Sighing quietly and hanging his head slightly, the tom averted his eyes. Snowstar gave a gentle purr of amusement. She understood what the cats were going through right at that moment. "Don't worry about it, I can send some warriors to retrieve it. Now, what were you saying? Relax, it can't be that bad unless you killed a cat."
Windwhisper; You're scenting too? She questioned. I mean, I get it... But... I don't know. That's a more precise way of getting scents. Windwhisper stared at her friend before shaking the thoughts off to ask. "Scent anything?" She asked in a tone that would be generally used to spark up conversation.
Quietsong; She gave a sigh, looking around with soft and gentle eyes. "Th-They told me if I-I talked... They'd cut off my tongue..." She muttered. Quietsong's fur was spiked up in alarm, and she kept looking around in worry. She was trying to scent for any potential threats. "If I spoke of what happened... T-They'd kill S-Smokefoot and I-I..." She stuttered, still not used to this whole talking thing.
