Feathermist gently flicked Hollyfire with her tail. "You're adorable, don't deny it." She purred happily. "Also... Thank you. I don't really talk about where I came from or my family very often." She sighed. "I don't even know if my family is alive, though I doubt they are."

"Hmm... I don't see a warrior." Leafmist pondered, glancing around the empty camp. "Maybe we will find a patrol on the way or something."
"It's up to you." Jaystar smiled, flicking her ears.
"I'm so sorry." Hollyfire meowed, almost at a loss for words. "That's the same with my parents... But I still have Frostwillow."

Feathermist nodded slowly. "I'm really sorry about that... My condolences. But if they are alive, I'm sure they're missing you and your sister," She meowed, attempting to comfort her friend.

"Maybe." Hollyfire paused and thought back to her parents. She remembered her mother as a gray and white she-cat while her father was an orange tabby. She remembered Rosekit as being a replica of her father with some gray markings. But now I have someone other than a sister. I have a friend. "At least we have each other." Hollyfire meowed softly, smiling at Feathermist.

Feathermist purred quietly. "I wouldn't want it any different, either." She meowed quietly. She had her voice lowered in respect for the cats that had fallen. Rather, whom she thought had fallen.

"You're a really great friend." Hollyfire purred, happiness beginning to show on her face once again.

Silverwind nodded. "Let's go, then and hope no cat decided to injury themselves while we are gone. "
Seawhisper looked around and sniffed the air. "I find some prey and you can hunt here, while I hunt for prey. " he said.

"That would be our luck." Leafmist purred in amusement. She quickly trotted to the camp entrance and slipped out, heading for the patch of catmint.
"Alright." Jaystar agreed, sniffing the air as well. Catching the scent of squirrel, she slipped away into the bushes. A small red squirrel sat at the base of an oak tree sniffing for nuts. Jaystar got into the hunting crouch and stalked toward her prey. The squirrel seemed to sense her but a moment too late as the hunter leaped into the air and landed on her target. A squeal from the creature was abruptly cut off as Jaystar finished off the squirrel with a bite to the neck.

Silverwind followed. "Let's hope that we don't get injured or sick ether, on the way. Then, the catmint would become a sickbed."
Seawhisper smelled a robin, not to far away and crouched down to get closer.

"Oh, thank you! But I treat as I have been treated... You're a really amazing friend and cat, Hollyleaf," Feathermist complimented, touching her with her tail lightly. She really did appreciate her new friend. But to her surprise, it was hard to talk about her past. For some cat that had thought about it so much, she really did find it strange to tell her tale. She was always happy to listen, though.

(With your permission, I would be delighted to join this RP. ^.^ Just for clarification, I'm not that new around here; my "former" account, Equinox, is where I spent all of my time, but for some reason, I've been having trouble logging in (on occasion) for the past while. Written below is my character.)
[ Flintpaw ] [ She-cat/Lesbian ] [ Apprentice ] [ 20 moons old ] [ OPEN to having a mate ] [ Light gray she-cat with sky blue eyes. She has unusually soft fur, with black stripes running along her back, white paws, a white chest and underbelly, and a black muzzle. Despite being a small she-cat, Flintpaw more than makes up for it (along with physical strength) with her lighting-fast speed and incredibly quick reflexes. She has a lithe body, which includes a very long tail and long legs (with small paws). In addition, she is quite pretty, but she is always conscious of a long scar stretching her forehead. Flintpaw also possesses a small black nose, triangular ears, and black whiskers ] [ Flintpaw, although generally described as being shy and an introvert, has so far received no challenges over her loyalty and dedication to JayClan. Utilizing her expertise as a hunter to her full advantage / potential, she hunts for the Clan almost daily, and refuses to rest until she has brought back at least some prey for her Clan. Flintpaw is also quite inquisitive and innocent, not completely understanding why borders must exist and why cats must fight to acquire basic necessities - such as food, water, and shelter - but she sticks to the rules like a tree's roots to the ground, and so far her loyalty has never wavered. Her overly compassionate and sweet personality, however, is often regarded by her Clanmates as something to be improved on. (In other words, she needs to "toughen up" a bit.) She has always wanted a mate - specifically another she-cat, and in fact, she desires nothing greater. However, not everything about Flintpaw is all flowers and rainbows; she rarely gets angry, but if some cat does raise her ire, she reacts with the ferocity of a vicious fox. In addition, she has very limited patience - but rest assured, she is also very understanding. Lastly, despite her exceptional hunting abilities and her (usually present) incredible focus, Flintpaw frequently daydreams - most of them involve her and another she-cat being together ] [ Flintpaw was formerly a rogue and resided in a small, abandoned rabbit warren on the moor. However, upon hearing the recent arrival of JayClan, she was more than interested to investigate (coupled with the fact that she was getting tired of her old home, she was in the utmost mood for adventure). She regularly spied on them, extremely curious of their sudden arrival and their intentions. With each passing day her confidence would strengthen and she would explore more of the surrounding area where she had spotted the patrols going by, progressively getting closer to the border. However, half a moon later, she was eventually caught following a border patrol (did I mention that despite the fact her intelligence is quite high, she can be an absolute mouse-brain at times?), and was knocked out and brought to the camp for questioning. However, instead of wanting to leave, she became even more fascinated with everyday Clan life, and at once time even refused to leave their territory, insisting on staying "just a couple more days". JayClan eventually accepted her as an official member of their Clan, but despite the fact she was/is old enough to be a young warrior, she had to start at the bottom (or very nearly) and begin training as an apprentice. On a side note, not much is known about her past, and she downright refuses to talk about it to any cat - not because she had a traumatic history or that she committed some sort of crime, but because she intends to leave her past behind her forever ] [ EchoesOfOneself ] (I hope you like her! I apologize her description is so long! Also, when she becomes a Warrior, could her name perhaps be Flintstrike? I don't know why, I just personally like the name. )

Leafmist nodded. "At least there are two of us. The chances of us both getting injured are slim."
Jaystar sniffed the air but the squirrel's squeal seemed to have chased everything off. With a low growl, Jaystar retrieved her prey and headed back to where her and Seawhisper left camp.
[ of course you can! and you are accepted c: haha i have some super long descriptions for my cats but i rarely use them in rps so dont worry c': and of course! ]

Flintpaw was outside the Warriors den, gazing upwards at the early morning sun. A slight chill rippled throughout her body, but she was not too bothered by the cold. Only 2 sunrises ago had she been accepted into JayClan, and naturally she felt like a total stranger. Nevertheless, she was determined to prove her loyalty to her Clan above all else. Today she would be given a mentor; despite her age (being a bit older than the oldest apprentices) and her undoubtedly impressive hunting skills, Jaystar still felt the need for Flintpaw (formerly known as Flint) to begin and hopefully one day complete her training as an apprentice. Flintpaw didn't mind about this development too much. 'Anything to prove my loyalty and my worth to JayClan...' she kept on telling herself. She barely knew any of the cats around here, let alone their names... but she nonetheless was very curious of who her mentor would be.
( It is the early morning, right? )

"I suppose or else we'll have to treat one another." Silverwind chuckled.
Seawhisper leaped and caught the bird, swiftly breaking it's neck. He picked up the bird and headed back to the spot.

[ nothing yet. i would love to plan something soon though. do you have any ideas? o: ]
[ and i really do need to give the apprentices mentors. feel free to request a mentor for your apprentice or request a mentor position c: ]
Rainpaw slipped out of the apprentices den behind Flintpaw. He was curious about the newcomer and wished to know more about her. As Rainpaw sat down to groom himself his gaze kept wandering to the new apprentice. I may as well say hi. Standing back up, he trotted over to Flintpaw. "Hello." He meowed, his voice rumbling in his chest.
[ it's early morning or late morning. ]
"Indeed we will." Leafmist purred as she thought about the ridiculous idea. Lifting her nose into the air, she smelled the sweet scent of fresh catmint. "Do you smell what I smell?" The medicine cat meowed happily, turning to Silverwind.
"Nice catch!" Jaystar complimented Seawhisper. "My StarClan forsaken squirrel chased all the other prey away." She growled, glaring at the squirrel's corpse.

Flintpaw turned to see Rainpaw padding over to him, and was quite delighted that he greeted her. Ever since joining JayClan just a few sunrises before, she really hadn't been greeted by anyone - at least oufside of "Clan customs", and even then, the interactions were somewhat brief. Maybe that would change once she was finally assigned a mentor, which, according to Jaystar, would be happening "very soon".
"Hello!" she smiled, although her voice was barely a whisper. It was obvious she was still adjusting to Clan life, and almost everyone around her was a stranger. "I'm Flintpaw. What's your name...?" she asked, trailing off at the end. Ever since becoming an "unofficial" apprentice of JayClan, Flintpaw had been trying to eliminate her timid nature, in case other cats saw it as a weak trait. But she had yet to be successful...

[ omg did i never respond to you Frost?? im so sorry! ]
Hollyfire purred and looked down at her paws in embarrassment. She wasn't used to this much complimenting. "T-thank you." She murmured and began to feel her ears grow hotter by the second.
She seems timid. I better be gentle then. Rainpaw sat down and smiled at Flintpaw while washing his ears. Once he was done, he let his gaze meet the new apprentice's. "Flintpaw is a nice name. I'm Rainpaw." He meowed, curling his tail around his paws. "What was your name before you got here? If you don't mind me asking of course."

(( That's okay, I get it! ))
"It's a pleasure!" She purred, flicking a drop of water off her ear shortly after. Of course, it didn't do very much. Her fur had absorbed the liquid, which Feathermist was, of course, fine with. Not to mention she was still wet from the swim, so the water didn't look that out of place with the rest of her fur.

Hollyfire shivered a bit due to the cold water. It wasn't much of a relief to get out though; the river seemed warmer than the chilly outside world. Pawstep by pawstep she pulled herself out of the water and shook off. Water droplets flew everywhere and her fur fluffed up. "That's better." Hollyfire sighed, shaking her paws.

Feathermist pulled herself up next to her, shaking off as well. But only after she took a few steps back, so she wouldn't get Hollyfire wet after she already dried off. Looking at her as she spoke, Feathermist gave a gentle shrug of her shoulders. To her, water and ground were both home. She loved to be in the water, but she also loved to run and climb. It was difficult for her to decide weather it was better to be out of the water and on land, or in the water and off of land.

Seawhisper chuckled, with amusement. "Well, it happen to every cat!"

"My name was... Flint." she said, gazing down at her paws meanwhile. It look a lot of courage for her, but she gradually lifted her head up and looked into Rainpaw's eyes. "Rainpaw is a nice name, too... I love the rain." she said, her voice just barely louder than a whisper. "Always have." she admitted.

"The water is nice." Hollyfire purred, glancing back at the beautiful river. "But it's a bit cold."
Leafmist purred and bounded towards the catmint. The scent was tantalizing and the medicine cat wanted to chew it up and swallow the juices right then and there but she knew they couldn't spare a single drop. A single leaf could mean life or death for a cat infected by greencough. "We should collect as much as we can."
"But not for the great leader of JayClan!" Jaystar purred, suddenly amused at her failure to catch more than a squirrel. "Well we should probably head further into the territory to collect more prey. When I get back I have some ceremonies to do."
"I like that name. And thank you." Rainpaw smiled shyly but kept his gaze focused on Flintpaw. "I prefer to keep my paws dry but the rain isn't horrible. We need it to keep the ground healthy and the rivers running." He meowed, remembering what his mother had told him as a young kit.

"Well, it appears you have turned out as wise as your mother." Flintpaw half teased him, smiling. "The season has been good so far to us. The prey is up to our haunches and the amount of rain has been perfect... Oh, why did I say "us"? I'm barely one of you..." she sighed, turning away slightly. "But once I get my mentor, I'll do everything to prove my worth to JayClan..." she meowed, almost to herself.

"I get it, especially this season, when it's starting to get cold." She replied, flicking her fluffy tail to rid of the last few droplets of water. The water had made most of her fur damp, but part of it on the top of Feathermist's head stuck up weird because of this. She didn't even notice, but it did make her look rather silly.
