✒[ Foxlight ] "That's an interesting theory," Foxlight said. "I think you'd need more than a cat nap to conserve that much energy." She glanced over towards the warrior den to see Maplesky sitting outside of it. Foxlight smiled brightly and turned to look at Redfur. She stared at him for a moment, stunned by his eyes. The warm light cast by the sun was gently reflected in them, and shone off of his fur, leaving a line of golden amber around the edges of his fur. She coughed and shook her head, feeling her ears warm slightly in embarrassment. How long had she stared? "T-there she is! Let me ask her if she can come and we can go," Foxlight said, trying to cover her up her moment of silence. She bounded off towards her, her excitement getting ahead of her.
[ Creekkit ] He quickly ran a paw over his nose, getting rid of the cold stuff. He shivered and fluffed his kitten fur up slightly. He craned his neck to see past the bramble barrier and was just able to see a flash of ginger as a warrior dashed by. He shrank back and his gaze darted to his sister. "There's other cats out there," He rasped. [ edit;; part of foxlight's post was deleted, I added it back ] Template made by Gengar ♀

| Redfur |
Redfur studied her, pondering on the retort that she had given him. He surrendered with a scoff, whisking his tail across the ground again; this time with force. His fur prickled upon the gaze of Foxlight resting on him; he quickly pushed the strange feeling away, averting his eyes briefly although he didn't move his head. He studied her expression, scanning her worriedly. "You alright?" He took a step closer to her but recoiled back when she spoke with a small stutter, a warm feeling ignited from his stomach and up to his chest, causing his breaths to be slightly hitched. He nodded, turning his attention to the forest, silently hoping something would go wrong at some point. It would definitely get his mind off of Foxlight for now.
| Maplesky |
Maplesky waved her tail in greeting, sitting up as Foxlight made her way towards her. She emitted a purr, "Patrolling?" She piped, "And I'm assuming I'm asked to go?" She rose to her paws, shaking her feathery fur out; the loose furs of her winter coat fluttering down to the snow covered ground.
| Mistkit |
Mistkit giggled silently, "Of course there are." She bumped her brother lightly in the side. "I mean, I would assume so? Right?" She looked up at him expectantly with her emerald green eyes misted with the blind factor. She turned her nose back to the outside, lifting her muzzle up to sniff again. She reached out another paw into the snow, stepping lightly into it. She squealed as she sank through a little, just up to her belly fur. "It doesn't hurt." She murmured, "It's just weird." She wrinkled her muzzle once again.

✒[ Foxlight ] Foxlight was delighted by how perceptive Maplesky was. It was almost as if she had read her mind, but Foxlight quickly ditched that idea as she realized she'd been pretty obvious chatting with Redfur in the middle of camp. Still, it was nice to hear how definite her words were and completely straight forward, nothing there for Foxlight to worry about or wonder. "Yep," Foxlight said, glad to find that her voice didn't stutter as it had before. She silently sighed inward, until another thought bubbled up. Redfur had asked if she was alright. She wasn't quite sure why this left a warm feeling in her, she didn't want to admit that maybe it was nice he cared. Foxlight smiled again, realizing she had fallen into a lapse of thought. "Sorry, just... a little distracted," Foxlight admitted sheepishly. She led the way back to Redfur, before Maplesky could inquire any further. She wasn't certain with her own thoughts, and not quite ready to say any out loud. "Rainstar warned me about being careful on the snow," Foxlight said, doing her best to keep an even tone as a thousand thoughts swirled around her. She took a few steps towards the entrance. "It is pretty thin in some areas, and can be deceiving."
[ Creekkit ] Creekkit's fur bristled only for a moment, but then was at ease upon looking at Badgerstripe. He would've told them if there was a danger nearby. With that reassuring thought Creekkkit nodded and focused on the snow as Mistkit spoke about it. He frowned and swept his paw through it again and felt a sharp tingle as his pad connected with it. Not harmful, but cold. Colder than he liked. "Yeah, I guess so... we should be careful though. I don't trust it." Template made by Gengar ♀

[ Yo Skittles! Great to see ya! ] | | Mintkit | | Mintkit bounded over and jumped into the strange substance, immediately she began to sink through. She looked down and a little bit of the cold substance dropped on her tounge. Licking her jaws, she shivered. "Cold!" | | Honeystep | | Honeystep watched her kits play in the snow, this will be the first time they see snow. A purr rumbled from her chest and she called out to the three. "Mind where you are stepping! You will catch a cold!" Honeystep smiled, pressing close to Badgerstripe. | | Softpaw | | Softpaw was caught by suprise when Rainstar padded over, had she noticed her waiting? The apprentice shuffled her paws, "No, but the assessment was okay i guess," She meowed. However much she wanted to become a warrior, she did not want to boast about it so she would become one straight away.

✒[ welcome to the clan <3 ] [ Cinderflight ]
Cinderflight had been laying on the side edges of the camp, dozing in a warm patch of sunlight she had found. Eventually when she did wake up, she merely watched as cats walked back and forth through the clearing. She yawned and stood up, stretching as she did so. Cinderflight padded slowly into the main clearing of camp, slowly waking up entirely. She spotted Fireclaw and wandered over to him, hoping to have a nice conversation. Having just become a warrior, she wasn't very well acquainted with many of the warriors and hoped to change that. "Hello," Cinderflight greeted. [ Speckledhawk ] Speckledhawk was baffled by her answer for a moment, but quickly understood. Of course she had her assessment, she wasn't much younger than him, and he hadn't done anything extraordinary to become a warrior soon. "That's good," Speckledhawk said warmly. "M-mine went terrible, I'm pretty sure I tripped over my own paws a few times. I'm sure you did better than I did." Template made by Gengar ♀

lordclover -- | Redfur |Redfur's fur prickled with uneasiness, watching Foxlight with his intense amber hues. Quickly averting his attention to avoid her gaze as she bounded back with Maplesky, he focused on a twig, acting like he was interested in it. I wish there was something I could say to her... He murmured regretfully to himself, All I really seem to do is make a fool of myself around cats. He grimaced, forcing a light smile as they neared. "Are we heading off now? It looks as if it will be sun-down soon." He shook out his fur as a few snowflakes landed on his muzzle. He couldn't help but admire Foxlight, she was stunning; especially in the dusk light. Fighting the urge to tell her, he lowered his gaze briefly before exchanging a glance with his sister. A shiver of irritation passed through him as she wriggled her ears at him in a mock tease. I'll get you. And you'll regret it. He whisked his tail, averting his gaze from his sister and back to Foxlight. | Maplesky |Maplesky nodded, "Right. Well, we should be heading out soon. Don't you think?" She motioned to the sky as she followed Foxlight with ease as she bounded through the thin line of snow after her, towards the group of cats waiting. She exchanged a glance with her brother, thoughts crossing her mind. She knew exactly who he was staring at and why, he liked Foxlight and it was obvious, possibly not to Foxlight though. Her brother had a slim chance anyways. She shrugged the thought off and waited for Foglight's response. | Mistkit |Mistkit smirked, bounding further into the snow only to trip over her numb legs. She sheepishly sat up, shivering slightly as she shook out her snow coated pelt. "I-its just c-cold." She repeated, urging herself inwardly not to give away the tingling sensation through her numb body. "Come on." She encouraged her brother, swiping a paw, beckoning him over.

Her voice trailed off as she realised that the clan being very busy at the time may not have time for her own ceremony. | | Honeystep | | Honeystep twitched, let her tail drag along the dusty ground. "It may be leaf-bare, Badgerstripe. But there is no need to worry about these kits," She regretted what she said, the kits were only a few moons old and being born in leaf-bare would most likely make them more vulnerable to a sickness.

Badgerstripe nodded, stopping once more although his mind told him not agree. "I'm sure they will be fine... I guess I worry a little too much." He admitted, stretching out his right front leg and then his left. He gave his chest fur a quick lick, dragging his bristled tongue over the tufts of fur.
| Rainstar |
Rainstar watched the apprentice ramble on. She whisked her tail, turning her attention away briefly to check camp before she looked back at Softpaw. "Your ready." She reassured her with a soft smile, resting the tip of her tail on the apprentice's shoulder before dragging it back to it's previous protecting spot around her paws.

"But sometimes a parent has to leave their kits to make up their own choices. They learn from their mistakes," The sandy she-cat smiled softly, her fur on her back smooth and silky. | | Softpaw | | Softpaw blinked up at Rainstar, a satisfied look on her face. She was happy Rainstar was able to recognize what she was trying to say without sounding greedy or anything. Her sandy-white fur ruffled up at the cold breeze brushed against it, sending a small shiver across the apprentices body.

✒[ Foxlight ] Foxlight noticed Redfur's gaze kept lowering, and concern rippled in her eyes for a moment. She glanced at the setting sun as Redfur mentioned it, but shook off any doubts she had. If this was the last patrol of the day, she wanted to make sure there was nothing to worry about in the night. She was glad she was going, she was hesitant at first, but now she was positive it was a good idea. The last patrol had been briefly after sunhigh, a lot could change in that time. Foxes were sneaky, if there was one they'd need to find it quick before it settled down. "Yeah, it's better we leave now and get back before it gets too dark," Foxlight said, her tail twitching at its tip. She nodded in agreement with Maplesky and led the way towards the entrance, her gaze flicking briefly to the nursery. She wanted to make sure Honeystep's kits were as safe as possible, that was the most she could do to help. Having kits in leafbare would be hard, but Foxlight was certain Honeystep and Badgerstripe would do excellently. [ Creekkit ] "Ok," Creekkit said, stirring up his own confidence as he stepped towards the snow. He took a deep breath before hopping off into it. The snow crinkled under neath him and devoured his paws, leaving only half of his legs exposed. His tail was barely able to hover over it. He shivered, but felt his excitement mount. He flicked a bit of snow at Mistkit before hopping away. [ Speckledhawk ] Speckledhawk was bewildered at Softpaw's words, and immediately wondered why she thought he of all cats would delay it? He had only shared his own troubles with the test to try and reassure her. Speckledhawk had been an apprentice for a few moons with Softpaw, but they had never really spoken much. He'd seen her during some practices though, and he remembered her doing well. He was about to reply when Rainstar walked up. Speckledhawk stepped back, his gaze flickering across camp again. He nodded in agreement when Rainstar mentioned her being a great warrior. Speckledhawk muttered a goodbye and an excuse to fix up his nest before it got to dark and headed off to the warrior's den.

| Mistkit |
Mistkit wrinkled her nose, sneezing a quick second later from the snowy impact. "That wasn't fair!" She squealed, scooping up another pawful to throw at him. She made sure it landed smack on his snout, just to emphasize what she had felt. She squealed in triumph and bounded a circle around Creekkit before tackling Mintkit.
| Badgerstripe |
He kept quiet, Honeystep's tone soothing his dismal attitude. He rose to his paws, stretching each keg individually for his benefit. "I still have duties to take care of." He said with a slightly regretful tone "I hope you won't miss me too much." He chuckled softly, his voice casually teasing. He whisked his tail softly on the ground, his whiskers twitching in sync.
| Rainstar |
Rainstar let her tail fall to the ground as she watching the apprentice thoughtfully for a brief second before gradually padding back to high ledge. Despite the nagging urge to rest, she didn't have the time to yet, she still had a few more tasks to fulfill before Starclan would be seen in the sky. • • • Approaching the Elder's den, she slowed; coming to a stop at the entrance to set down the freshly caught mouse. "Knottedfur?" She poked her head into the Elder's den, scanning the dimly lit hallowed trunk for the elder.
| Redfur |
Redfur followed Foxlight without any problem, bounding ahead of the patrol to where Foxlight walked. Despite his kit like attitude, he had a dominant side as well, one that only came out on occasion such as patrols. "We should patrol the territory near the shining stones." He suggested, pointing his muzzle towards the South where the shining stones lay, a stone bridge made and abandoned by humans that sits in a river full of prey. Admiring the way Foxlight's pelt had an aura around it from the sun, he hadn't quite realized where he was placing his paws. He stepped heavily into a hole, possibly made by a rabbit and cursed mildly to himself, quickly regaining his pace back hoping not to make a scene. It was the last thing he hoped to do.| Maplesky |
Maplesky followd the patrol, hanging behind to scan the camp once, before bounding ahead to catch up.

✒[ Cinderflight ]
She paused a moment, considering the question. She remembered seeing some warriors gather in the middle of camp, she assumed for a border patrol. "One left not to long ago," She said. "I don't know when the last hunting patrol was though." [ Knottedfur ] Knottedfur had spent the better part of his day in the elder's den, hiding from the cold. He blamed the apprentices for it, well not really. He knew he was getting old and withered, but he would tell anyone within earshot it was because of them. Knottedfur glanced up as he heard Rainstar. He stared at her in surprise, and took back every grumpy remark he had considered before recognizing the voice. "To what do I owe the pleasure of getting a visit?" Knottedfur asked, rising from his nest slowly, his amber eyes cutting through the dark as Rainstar came into focus. [ Foxlight ] Foxlight had been keeping an even pace, not willing to run in the snow with the forest growing darker. She kept an eye on Maplesky and Redfur to make sure that she wasn't going to fast or to slow. She nodded when Redfur mentioned the shining stones. "We can, I want to check on the fox den that was destroyed earlier first," Foxlight commented. Her gaze shifted from every shadow to every bare branch. She was doing her best not to stare at Redfur, the last time she had still a burning reminder that she easily got distracted. She didn't want to freak him out, not after having such a great day. Then she heard Redfur curse, and immediately turned to make sure he was ok. She stopped instantly and padded to where he was, but he had already began to walk again. Foxlight frowned in concern. "Are you ok?" She asked softly.[ Creekkkit ] "Sorry I didn't know we were playing fair," Creekkit said as she bounded around him. He shook his head, getting rid of the snow. "But let me make it up to you!" She had already tackled Mintkit, but that didn't stop him from kicking some more at her before darting around. stumbled to a stop when he heard Honeystep's voice. "No, I haven't met any of them," Creekkit chirped.

| Redfur |
Redfur padded briskly beside Foxlight, his red tinged fur glistened with a light amber aura outlining it from the sunset. The crunching of the snow beneath his paws soothed him as he padded along, full of enough energy to last him. The brute's hues scanned the forest horizon, scanning for danger as they changed courses through the forest towards the den. "Sounds good to me." He said lazily, not encouraged to waste his energy on talking. He couldn't help but glance over at Foxlight again, but as soon as he did he scolded himself for it. He didn't want to make it awkward, so he didn't say anything. Instead, he walked along aimlessly beside her. He merely wanted to be close friends, not anything more unless she wanted that.
| Rainstar |
Whisking her tail through the air, she proceeded to enter the den; carrying the mouse between her jaws. The den was dimly lit with a few cracks in the wood, causing small ray's of light to shine through them. She truly admired this den, hoping to retire to it once she's old enough. She set the mouse down, sitting comfortably a tail length off to the side of Knottedfur, her blue hues meeting the elder's eyes. She emitted a soft purr at the greeting, "I brought you a mouse." She motioned to the mouse before proceeding to speak, "I came for a few reasons actually." She paused, her gaze sweeping the den. "I need some advice with the clan." She confessed, flattening her ears briefly. "There is a chance Starclan is leaving our side but without a Medicine cat how will I know?" Her voice wavered slightly as she spoke.
| Mistkit |
Mistkit's attention suddenly turned to a maple leaf, one of the last on the tree that fluttered to the ground. It was only a couple tail lengths from the nursery, a peek couldn't hurt, right? She was shaken out of her thoughts by a spray of snow. She squealed, shaking out her snow battered fur, she realized that both of her siblings were stopping to look up at Honeystep. Taking that chance, she glanced back at the maple leaf before bounding off towards it, not realizing the snow was a tad deeper there. She slowed to a stop near the leaf, the snow felt lighter than usual and easier to step into. She swiped at the leaf, squealing in surprise when the leaf had become hooked onto her paw. She jumped backwards, trying her best to loosen the leaf on her claws.
| Maplesky |
Maplesky proceeded to walk on, tagging behind the patrol as she had committed herself to doing. She would be the one to make sure they wouldn't get ambushed. A twig snapped and an eerie feeling wandered into her fur. She shrugged it off, watching a squirrel bound across the path behind the patrol. I'm sure it was nothing. She murmured to herself, flattening her ears; speeding up just a bit.

✒[ should something happen on their patrol ? ] [ Foxlight ] Foxlight couldn't help but steal a few glances at Redfur, trying to read his thoughts hidden behind his brilliant amber eyes. She sighed quietly, letting her tail gently sway back and forth. Once she thought she saw him look at her, but then his eyes were focused straight ahead and she couldn't help but doubt if he had. Why would he? It wasn't like- Crack. Foxlight stopped in her tracks for a moment, suddenly on high alert. She stared at a bush, the fur along her spine rising as she bit back her immediate instinct to claw at it. A squirrel hopped out of the bush and dashed up the nearest tree. Foxlight let go of the breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding and a small cloud appeared before vanishing again. "I'm getting to jumpy," Foxlight said with a half hearted chuckle. [ Knottedfur ] "Thank you," Knottedfur said as Rainstar motioned to the mouse. He let out a soft mrrow of amusement, shaking his head. "StarClan? Abandon us without a word? Impossible. They're old, but they're dramatic as heck, with or without a medicine cat," Knottedfur said matter-of-factly. He meant no disrespect by this to StarClan, he was just speaking without much thought. Although if he had thought about it more, he probably would've said the same thing. "Rainstar I don't think you need to worry about them abandoning us, we haven't done anything wrong. StarClan is our Clan, just old. They wouldn't leave." He said this gently, and with a warm tone. Most of the warriors he grew up with were dead, but they hadn't left him. They were still in the same Clan, that wouldn't change. He sighed. "But if they were to leave us... it wouldn't happen over night. They aren't like that, they would tell us what we did wrong, why they were leaving..." He shook his head. True, they hadn't heard from StarClan in a while, but... that didn't mean anything, did it? StarClan often didn't warn the Clan about trouble until they were positive it was real. It was very possible that maybe StarClan was quiet because they didn't know how to handle Paleheart's death. He sighed. "Maybe you should visit the Moonlit River, just in case." [ ahhh i'm not really 100% sure on his personality yet, so sorry if the dialogue is awkward >~< ] Template made by Gengar ♀

| Redfur |
Redfur stopped momentarily to study the sound of a twig cracking. It seemed as if Foxlight heard it too. Despite the eeriness of the forest at dusk, it was truly a beautiful place to be. He proceeded to walk again, trotting back to the front where he slowed to a walk, tail whisking the ground as the patrol went on. "Its beautiful here." He murmured, a cold drop of ice water landed on the tip of his ear, causing his ear to twitch in response.
Shaken out of his daze like state by Foxlight, he chuckled softly, bumping her lightly in the side with his shoulder. "Your always jumpy." He teased softly, blinking his amber hues.
| Rainstar |
Forcing a soft smile, the leader repositioned herself so that she was comfortable sitting in one of the older nests with dry grass poking out every which way. "I hope your right. I never realized what I had gotten myself into when I became leader." She murmured distantly. She whisked her tail across the den floor briefly. "I couldn't leave the clan in times like this." I mean, leaving wouldn't ruin the clan but who knows what I could come back to? She shook the thought away.
"Do you think I've done things wrong?" She lowered her voice slightly, whiskers twitching.
I had to do something. Thinking to herself, it was obvious, at least to her that she worried a little too much.
