✒[ Foxlight ] Foxlight hesitated a moment, thinking over all of the thoughts swirling around her. Her tail flicked at its tip as she opened her mouth to speak after a moment. "Should we check the territory more often now that the threat of foxes is present?" She wasn't entirely sure how it would work, but her thoughts remakned on the foxes possibly lurking in their territory. Border patrols went out only a few times a day, amd hunting patrols were usually focused in one area. Foxlight paused and considered asking if she should reinforce the canp walls, but thought it might be overboard. Yes there was a possibility of a fox, but that didn't mean they should scare the clan by creating a fortress.
[ Creekkit ] Creekkit glowed at his mother's praise and stood up straighter as he approached Mistykit. When he reached his sister he touched his nose to her shoulder, trying to be reassuring. "We're another nest," Creekkit said in astonishment, finally realizing this fact. "Where are all the other kits?" Creekkit asked curiously, his gaze sweeping the other very empty nests. ✒[ Creekkit ] He smiled as he heard his sister- Mistykit- say his name. He curled up next to her as she did the same. He purred softly, happy to be reunited with his litter mate. He looked up at Lavenderkit excitedly, his purr rumbling in disjointed volume, sometimes being as soft as a whisper and other times being as loud as a mewl. He took in every sight he could see, surprised by it all. He devoured each sight greedily, his gaze searching for the smallest of details. He saw how similar Lavenderkit looked to Honeystep and Badgerstripe, and he finally saw his own resemblance to his father. [ Foxlight ] Foxlight nodded and smiled. "Who can blame him?" Foxlight asked with a soft purr. It was always a marvel to her to see newly mated warriors, they always seemed so starstruck by each other. It often looked like they didn't have a thought in the world about anything but their mate. Foxlight often envied this, but she'd gotten over it. She liked to have her mind occupied, filled to the brim with thoughts and worries. It kept her balanced, somehow. It was exactly what she needed right now, to keep distracted.
"Alright, I'll ask Redfur and Maplesky in a minute, and maybe see if there is another spare warrior to come."
She offered Rainstar one final smile before padding over towards Redfur, her tail lazily swishing by her paws.

She let out a small mrrow of amusement. "He deserves a mate, it'll take the stress off of his shoulders." She added softly with a purr. "You should be good with two cats but if you insist, three will work too." She nodded, looking past her briefly at the lively camp. "Remember, the ground is covered by snow you might have some trouble getting around if you can't see the ground." She warned, her purr coming to a stop gradually. Her blue orbs returned to meet Foxlight's; her whiskers twitched instinctively. "If any trouble, send a fit warrior back to camp for backup."

Mistykit tripped over her own paws as she trotted up beside Creekkit, keeping close. "What do you see?" She murmured softly to her brother, blinking and trying to focus on the blackness that she saw. There was truly nothing in front of her eyes, but by the way every other cat acted; it was clear that she was the only cat that couldn't see.

Redfur had dozed off in the snow beside the tree, his chest rising and falling peacefully in the slight breeze that wafted through the camp. Previously before he had dozed off, he had been thinking a lot; a lot about Foxlight and a lot about his choices. Despite the nagging feelings that he felt faintly for the she-cat, he didn't want to admit anything; at least not until he was sure there was something besides usual talk.

Maplesky was curled up in the warriors den, nose tucked into her tail and her ears flattened against her head to prevent any cold breezes from ruffling her ear fur tufts and fur.

Scarletsky padded from the warriors den to see foxflight, he smiled and bounded over to her. "Hey Foxflight." He mewed friendly with a hint of something more. "Whatcha doin?" He yawned, he had just woken up from a nap. All his warrior duties had been finished so he had decided to take a small cat nap.

✒[ Creekkit ] "I see our mom, Honeystep, and Lavenederkit and our dad, a-and the nursery!" Creekkit squeaked excitedly. "I think there's something outside of the nursery! When your eyes open all four of us should explore it!" It wasn't but moments later that a cool wind reminded Creekkit that he was indeed just a kit, and was just covered in kitten fluff. Not a thick coat for winter. "Maybe later actually," he said sheepishly. "I-I don't want you guys getting cold!" [ I don't remember kits saying mom or dad in the books but Honeystep and Badgerstripe sound too formal ][ Foxlight ] Foxlight nodded slowly. "Alright, I'll be careful in the snow," she said gently, her thoughts now encircling this new idea. She hadn't even thought of that, she was glad Rainstar mentioned it. If it wasn't for her Foxlight probably would've simply dashed into the snow, not thinking of the holes hidden by the snow.
She was distracted when she left Rainstar, trying to decide the best path to take on the patrol. She definitely wanted to check on the fox den one last time, to put all of her worries to bed of another fox. She jumped slightly at the sound of Scarletsky's voice.
"Hey," Foxlight greeted. "I was about to go on another patrol, want to come? I'm going to ask Redfur and Maplesky as well."
Foxlight let her gaze drift towards the spot where Redfur had been and saw that he was in the same area as before, now asleep. Foxlight smiled and shook her head. She turned towards the warrior den to find Maplesky before she woke up Redfur.
[ Redfur is such a cutie x'3 I'm now pretty curious about what happened in his past ]
I always spell definitely wrong, it's starting to get embarrassing when I see the red squiggly line x'c

Looking at him, she purred softly "There all so energetic, and they have barely opened their eyes," She looked down at all of them. The queen leaned down to pick up Mintkit, who was scrambling over to her siblings, and placed her beside Creekkit. | | Mintkit | | Mintkit flashed around in her mothers grip then calmed diwn as she was placed next to Creekkit. Looking at her brother curiously, she stumbled towards her two sisters, trying to walk on her short legs. | | Stormfire | | Stormfire twitched, he nodded to Rainstar and padded off. I still need to work to my best, He pondered as he padded back kver to Lilyfrost. The crunching of the thin layer of snow beaneath his paws made Stormfire twitch. The cold substance send a shiver up his body, and the dark grey tom approached Lilyfrost, he licked her cheek before sitting beside her. |

Rainstar's gaze swept the clearing once Foxlight had gone off to gather a patrol and Stormfire had returned to his waiting mate. Her hues glistened in the afternoon sun, as she focused her gaze on the maple tree, whose last leaves fell to the snow covered ground. Despite the calm setting, she knew she shouldn't be wasting time over something so graceful that could be ruined within moments. She was shaken out of her state by the sound of squealing kits and she turned her attention to the nursery, they've opened their eyes already? Rainstar was curious, she hasn't got any kits of her own, but she figured it took around a full day for a kit to get used to it's surroundings. She let out a purr, watching them from the shadows that the ledge cast.

Badgerstripe ducked his head through the brambles that covered the top of the nursery before settling down beside Honeystep, careful not to block the access to food for the kits. "I'm a little concerned." He admitted, his rumbling purr gradually stopping. "We had our kits in leaf-bare, isn't that a bad omen?" He paused, trying to meet her eyes. Although she showed no fear within his eyes, his body position was tense and bristled.

Mistkit reached out with her muzzle to touch her brother's shoulder, trying to get a sense of where he was before she pounced on his back with her kit legs. "Got you!" She squeaked in triumph. She hadn't quite mastered keeping her claws to herself though, it didn't really cross her mind.

Redfur lifted his head lazily, looking around to see where Foxlight had gone off to. He spotted her just a few tail lengths away and sat up, letting out a groan. "Did I hear my name?" He muttered, trotting over to Foxlight with as much laziness as he could muster, he was truly back to his old self.

Maplesky exited the warrior's den, crossing camp to where the fresh kill pile sat. She grimaced as she noticed that it was covered in a fresh layer of snow. I was asleep for that long?

[ Mistkit sounds cool ^^ ] | | Honeystep | | Honeystep whisked her tail as she felt Badgerstripe's warm pelt beside her. Even if he was in the snow just before, Honeystep always felt his pelt warm. Sensing his question, Honeystep did not frown nor smile. She only responded, "No, They will survive during leaf-bare. They are strong." The queen watched the four kits play. | | Mintkit | | Mintkit squeaked and tackled Lavenderkit, waving her tail playfully. | | Brightpetal | | Brihgtpetal sat just inside the warriors den, grooming her fur. She wanted to get out of the cold, but did not want to sleep in her nest just yet. | | Softpaw | | Softpaw sat under a tree, slowly eating a squirrel. I hope i become a warrior soon.. She thought as she chowed down on the squirrel. Lifting her head, she watched Badgerstripe pad into the medicine den. Shivering form the ice cold snow, Softpaw finished her Squirrel and remained still. She had heard about the new when Honeystep had her kits, and the screeching from her a few days before scared the apprentice. |

✒[ Creekkit ] Creekkit beamed as Mintkit joined them and he immediately swept his tail through the air in excitement. He was about to toss some moss at his sister when suddenly he felt something sharp sink into his back. He immediately tumbled over with a small yelp, not quite balanced on his legs yet. Creekkit took a moment to recover, but the moment he did he leapt to his paws and hopped towards Mistkit, his eyes shining with glee.
"A surprise attack?" Creekkit asked with a low rumbling purr. He picked up his paw, planning on lightly swatting his sister in return, but his claws hooked a piece of moss and tossed it at her when he swept his paw in her direction. He jumped back, thoroughly surprised by the piece of moss.[ Foxlight ] Foxlight's gaze snapped back towards Redfur when she heard his voice. She beamed at him, her eyes bright with joy. "Nice to see you're finally up," Foxlight said teasingly. Her voice shifted to a slightly more serious tone as she continued."Rainstar wanted me to organize a patrol to check the territory for any sign of foxes. I was planning on asking you and Maplesky to come, if you're up for it." The final part Foxlight said with a mischievous glint in her eye and a small smirk. [ Speckledhawk ] Speckledhawk padded across the camp, his eyes darting across it nervously. Speckledhawk had gotten much more calm since his beginning apprentice days, but he still had several nervous ticks, one being his gaze never staying on one object for to long. He stepped carefully through the snow, carefully checking for any holes he could trip in and hurt his leg. That would be awful, to be stuck in the medicine cat den during his first week as a warrior. He quivered at the mere thought and hurriedly crossed the camp. He paused halfway, noticing Softpaw. He saw a patrol forming around Foxlight, but he wasn't quite ready to leave camp yet. He wanted to fix up his nest first and foremost and check the warrior den roof one last time to try and find the leak that had been above his nest the prior night.
"H-hey," Speckledhawk said to Softpaw. "What's going on?" His gaze flicked to the patrol before going to Rainstar then to Softpaw. "This is the fourth patrol today," He commented. He knew this for a fact, he'd kept count. He was a very observant cat, always had been. Which was where he got -hawk as the final part of his name. He had to be observant, at least this was his train of thought. Never know when something small will snowball into something terrifying. Template made by Gengar ♀ |

Rainstar let out a long overdue sigh as she glanced around the camp; her gaze landing on an apprentice Softpaw. It dawned on her just now that she hadn't given the apprentice her warrior ceremony yet, and would need to be done soon. Giving herself a brief grooming to dislodge the matted fur or loose hairs, she approached the apprentice with a casual walk. Stopping off to the side of the apprentice, she took a seat wrapping her feathery tail around her soft white paws. Giving the camp a sweep with her gaze, she returned her attention to Softpaw. "I hope I haven't kept you waiting Softpaw. I take it you did well enough on your assessment with your mentor?" She kept her voice somewhat quiet, a purr rumbled merely from the back of her throat as she spoke.
She turned her attention to Speckledhawk now. Despite the interuption, she wouldn't make a big deal out of it. She merely gave her pelt an shake, "A fox was killed, one of the five that we've seen and we're just sending out another patrol to scan the area." She informed the newly made warrior.

Badgerstripe re-positioned himself so that his head was just hovering over Honeystep's back and he was in a comfortable position to groom her. He didn't say anything besides a rumbling purr before he began to groom her fur, hoping to ease his mate. "I'm cautious. Thats all." He murmured between licks on her scruff. His hues ignited as the sun's beaming rays shown through the holes in the bracken cover of the nursery.

Mistkit let out a long awaited scoff, and aimed a smack at Creekkit's muzzle. "That'll teach you." She piped, bounding a circle around her brother. For some reason, she felt a pang in her heart; she wouldn't ever be able to see what her siblings looked like. She quickly changed direction and swiped a paw at Mintkit too although she missed. She stepped in something cold and instantly squealed, stopping dead in her tracks. She lowered her muzzle, sniffing the substance gingerly. Weird.. it doesn't smell like anything. She gave her pelt a shake, noticing how numb she instantly became, but it was almost satisfying.

Maplesky watched the interaction between Redfur and Foxlight with a small smirk. And for a heartless cat, my brother seems to have a catch. She whisked her tail, turning her attention away so she wouldn't exactly be staring at the situation.

Redfur scoffed and let out a whine, bounding forwards to aim a light cuff on Foxlight's ear. "I don't have to listen to you." He said abruptly, although he was merely joking. He wouldn't miss a chance to escape camp for a while.

He jumped towards her right as her paw slipped off of the nest and into some strange white stuff beside it. Creekkit let out a small cry before darting towards her. He nearly tumbled out into the white stuff as well, but barely caught himself. He fought the urge to pull Mistkit back into the nest as she began to investigate it. "What is it?" Creekkit asked, leaning over the nest to look down at it. He prodded it gently with his paw. "Hey, Mintkit, Lavenderkit, come check this out!" [ Foxlight ] Foxlight let out a soft mrrow of amusement at Redfur's words. "You would do well to listen to me though," Foxlight said as she narrowly dodged Redfur's paw. She shook off her pelt as snowflakes began to coat it. She gently bumped his shoulder as she passed him. "
That cat nap should be enough for you to keep up with me... or maybe not," Foxlight teased. Foxlight loved to run across the territory, which was why she loved border patrols. She had an unhealthy habit as an apprentice to dart ahead of the rest to 'scout ahead'. Eventually it did work out in her favor, after all she did get the final part of her name for being light on her feet. She considered briefly kidding that she could find another cat to come along, but she was mildly afraid he would take her up on that. She wouldn't admit it, but she wanted him to come along. Flattening his ears, to emphasize the gnawing sense inside of him of patrolling in snow that was more than a paw deep. "Like wise." He blinked, whisking his tail across the snow covered ground. "Your so hilarious." He commented casually, returning the smirk despite the stupidity he felt. "In that case, wouldn't I be faster than you with all the energy I conserved?" He questioned her intently, his amber hues reflecting the dusk sun as it started its early hours of setting.

Mistkit flung a paw full of it at Creekkit's face. A cold breeze wafted towards her, causing scents to drift into the den. She sniffed the air, she had a much bigger sense of smell because she was blind. She smelled prey, other cats, and.. well she didn't want to say. She wrinkled her nose, deciding whether or not she should tell Creekkit and Mintkit about the smells.

Softpaw will become Softfur (unless changed to 'heart')
Vixen will be a new character, a rogue that will be introduced later on (claimable)
Rainstar will be losing her 5th life soon. That will leave her with 4 left.
Cinderpaw became Cinderflight
The fox battle will end soon
